The Void
Ryuuji Iwasaki, Youko Usami, Hiromu Sakurada and Jin Masoto were surprised that they still existed. After all, since they of Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters defeated the evil being Azazel with the help of their counterparts from another dimension—the members of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters—the wish made by Support-roid Cheeda Nick was never made...and thereby, they should never have existed.
However, they were still flesh and blood. And they could hear clapping from somewhere in the void. "Well done, Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters," a voice said. A being stepped into view. "Are you...God?" Hiromu said.
"I am," God said. "I am impressed, Hiromu Sakurada. Even with knowing that defeating Azazel would mean your never having existed, you risked your lives to help Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters destroy Azazel. That warrants the granting of a favor from me to you."
"What kind of favor?" Youko said. "It's very simple, Youko Asami," God said with a smile. "I will ensure that your world will continue to exist."
"How so?" Ryuuji asked. "I will place one of my top world-builders in charge of your world, Ryuuji Iwasaki," God said. "He will help keep your stories alive." "Will he be able to bring back Atsushi?" Jin asked, referring to Atsushi Doumyouji, the fallen Green Hippopotamus.
"If he wishes," God said. "He has my full confidence in these matters. William?"
The sound of footsteps on metal could be heard in the empty void. William (he prefers not to use his last name) bowed to God. "You wished to see me, sir?" he said.
"Yes, William," God said. "These are the members of Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters. I am placing you in charge of their case. You have my full authority to do with their lives as you see fit. Although, I do have a recommendation on what to do with them first."
William nodded and made a tablet PC appear in his hands. On the screen was a file marked "Case File: Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters." "I'm listening," William said.
What seemed to be an hour later, William nodded as he made a final few notations on the file. "I have all I need from you four," he said. "I'll get started on this right away."
William began to walk away, but Hiromu cleared his throat. "Yes, Hiromu?" William asked. "Thank you for doing this, William," Hiromu said.
"No problem, Hiromu-san," William said. "It's what I do. You should find yourselves arriving just before the battle that ended with Green Hippopotamus' death. This time, however, things will be different."
William smiled as he added, "I'll leave you four to find out just how different things will be." William saluted the members of Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters with two fingers before fading away.
Hiromu closed his eyes as he began to feel a tingling come over his body. Around him, his teammates were doing the same. Then...
