The mission to stop the Covenant and locate survivors was a success. Even if they didn't find many survivors. However the UNSC still counts finding any amount of survivors and kicking Covenant ass as a victory. Which in truth, it is some form of a victory.

However there are some issues. The main issue is the refuges themselves. They need to figure out where to put the refuges. Find them a place to stay and help them get their lives back on track. It won't be easy but the UNSC does have a program for this. But there is another issue.

An issue that belongs to the last of the Spartan 2s, Blue Team. They are currently in the infirmary. Waiting for the chief medic to come back with news about Isabella. They want to make sure that she is okay before she sent off with the other refuges.

While waiting for news, they all keep thinking about how familiar she is to him. Her blue eyes remind them of someone. But they can't figure out who. And that is really bothering them. So while also wanting to know if she is going to be okay, they also want to ask her some questions. Maybe get some clarity about this strange sense of familiarity.

"Still here Spartans?" Asks Dr. Grace the chief medical officer of Infinity.

"Yes ma'am." Chief nods shortly.

Dr. Grace gives the Spartans a soft smile. She then looks over the file in her hands before closing it back up and sighing.

"There is no bad news." Dr. Grace begins causing the Spartans to relax. "But we did find something interesting. Something that I am reporting to you first and foremost. Admiral Hood and any other commanding officer can bitch about knowing second but I believe that you should know first given that you are technically this kid's only family left."

"What is that supposed to mean Dr. Grace?" Asks Fred confused like his fellow Spartans.

She first hands the file to Chief and goes, "She's related a Spartan 2."

The other three Spartan 2s jump to peak over Chief's shoulder at the news. And to their shock they see it. The DNA test that proves Isabella's relations to one of their fallen Spartan brethren. Spartan-006, but Blue Team knew him as Jacobson. Jacobson Bluestar. One of very few of the Spartan 2s to remember their last names.

Images of Jacobson begin filling their minds. His tawney skin, blue eyes, the inquisitive nature, and the matching looks he would make. Isabella has the same kin, eyes, and inquisitive nature with the matching looks.

Also they knew that her last name was familiar to them. They can't believe they didn't connect the dots sooner. Bluestar is a rather uncommon last name. And they only ever knew Jacobson to have the name.

Needless to say, that the last of the Spartan 2s are speechless. To learn that they have a niece who is the daughter of a Spartan they all thought died a long time ago?! Seriously someone pinch them.

"H-How?" Kelly asks.

"I am not sure. From what I was able to find out Spartan-006 was declared MIA after the Fall of Reach. Seems he survived, must have spent quite some time hiding from ONI and the UNSC, healing his injuries and seems to have tried starting a family." Dr. Grace says.

"Thank you for notifying us first." Chief says his stoic exterior seeming to crack as he hands back the file.

"You welcome." Dr. Grace smiles. "Now I am going to report Admiral Hood and Captain Lasky. And hopefully I'll be able to talk them into letting her stay with you guys. Like I said you are her only relatives at this rate."

"That…" Linda begins. "That would be nice."

"Not sure when she'll wake. Soon hopefully until then feel free to sit with her." Dr. Grace says before leaving the Spartan 2s alone in the hall.

It doesn't take them long to walk into Isabella's room. She even looks like Jacobson when she sleeps. It's like he is right here with them its kind of scary.

Kelly notices the clip Isabella was wearing the last they saw her resting on the small table beside the bed. The fastest Spartan alive recognizes it as Jacobson's handywork. He had always been a creative one in many ways.

"Do you think…" Fred begins ending the silence that had been present in the room. "Do you think they'll let us keep her."

"If they don't then we can go AWOL and kidnap her." Kelly says attempting to jest.

Fred chuckles as a faint smile appears on Linda's face. Chief has a fainter smile than Linda's on his face. But he doesn't look at any of the team. His eyes remain focused on Isabella.

Jacobson is stirring in his grave right now. His daughter, barely six years old and she's already been through so much. How unfair can life be? She deserves better. So much better.

Chief hopes that they do get to take care of her. Jacobson had saved his life quite a few times before Reach. Seems like he now has the opportunity to return the favor. He knows that Jacobson must have gone to great lengths to remain his "MIA" status. Which infers that Jacobson never intended for Isabella to join the military unless she wanted to.

Which would also mean that he didn't want Isabella to become a Spartan. Not unless she wanted to. He wanted Isabella to choose what she wanted. To have the chances that were robbed from them.

Even if that is what Jacobson wanted, the moment that ONI finds out… Gods, Chief doesn't even want to entertain the idea. It isn't fair to Isabella. She didn't choose one of her parents to be a rouge Spartan who just wanted a normal human life. She shouldn't be forced to walk down the path her father did. She has the right to choose what she wants to be. And Chief is going to make sure that she keeps that right.
