I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, Bentley, Qwark, or any of the ParaNorman characters.
Inside a suburban area of Blithe Hollow, there was nothing, then immediately, a portal opened, and out came Taylor, with Tess on her shoulder, but then looked back and heard a screaming and out came Qwark. Tess got off of Taylor's shoulder, while Taylor soon made a break for it, but too late as Qwark soon landed on his rear, and said, "Man it felt like I was going through a portal."
"You did," Taylor said in a muffled voice.
"Is that you Taylor?" Qwark asked, looking around, and saw her nowhere, but saw Tess near him, he then asked, "Where are you?"
"YOU'RE SITTING ON ME!" Taylor replied still muffling.
"I wouldn't-" Qwark said, looking down, but then yelped as he sees Taylor glaring at him.
He got up, and so did Taylor and she said, "Ugh, you got to watch your landing Qwark."
"Sorry about that Taylor," Qwark said, shrugging his shoulder.
Taylor's goggles vibrated, she put down them, and Bentley's face on her left lens, while her face was on the right lens. Bentley soon said, "Sorry Taylor, but even with Qwark around, this is one mission you and Tess will have to accomplish without me."
"You're not thinking of being scared of ghosts, let alone believe in them despite the times I saw ghosts in the adventures with Alice, Alyssa, and Coraline, do you?" Taylor asked.
"Sure, I do. My scanners have picked up verifiable paranormal activity. But that's not the problem," Bentley replied, paused and continued, "This town is mostly has stuff for their own history with promotional propaganda that can be even inappropriate to children."
Taylor gave him an annoying look, and said, "Come on Bentley, we got work to do, so get over it."
"Okay, okay. Just also keep an eye out for an Ability Sphere, for I placed an upgrade into your goggles that can help detect them," Bentley replied.
"Nice," Taylor replied. She took off her goggles, then put them on to zoom, until she found the ability sphere, she went to it, and said, "Seems I found the Ability Sphere, let's see what this one is." Taylor soon sees it and describe what it is.
The sphere shows an individual seeing nothing, but then put on some goggle flipped the switch, and saw someone else with a fainted line. Taylor puts on her goggles, saw nothing, but then switched a new setting that might've been just added, and she soon sees more people, who had the same aura as Norman's grandmother, making them ghosts.
Taylor soon said, "Guys, I see dead people."
"You can see us, like Norman?" asked a ghost.
"Amazing, I read this ability, your brother, Shadow, dubs this ability, Median Vision, now with this ability, you can see and talk to ghosts, and maybe even some other stuff of paranormal activity, this can be handy in this world," Bentley said.
"Okay, now we got to do and find this Norman, boy," Taylor soon said.
Soon the boy, Norman came out of his house in a red jacket, and backpack, which meant he was going to school.
Taylor soon approaches him, and said, "Hello there." Norman looks at her and her friends, and soon just kept on moving, Taylor soon said, "Guess you're not the talking type."
"Sorry, my mom and dad told me not to talk to strangers," Norman replied.
"Oh, guess you are smart to follow it," Taylor replied, paused, then said, "But hey, sometimes a stranger can be a new friend, my name is Taylor, Taylor Fearbrave," Norman looked, as Taylor gestured, "On my shoulder is my friend, Tess, she's an otts-" Taylor paused, then said, "Ferret, yeah, she's a ferret." Tess got upset for that, but she knew Talyor did it so not to arouse suspicion. Taylor soon pointed with her thumb, and said, "And behind me is Qwark."
"Yes, Captain Qwark," Qwark said, showing a pose to make him look cool, this caused Taylor to put a hand to her temple, and shook her head. Qwark shrugged his shoulders and asked, "What?"
"Showoff," Taylor replied, then asked, "So what is your name kid?"
Norman soon replied, "Norman, Norman Babcock, now if you excuse me, I need to go to school."
"We'll come with you, after all, it can be nice to have new friends to talk with while walking," Taylor replied.
Norman soon shrugged his shoulders, and said, "Whatever." The group soon walks on the sidewalk, then Norman looked at a bike, and said, "Good morning!" He kept walking, and said, "Hey, Burce, how's it going?" He stopped a bit, then said, "Not much. I'm kind of late for school, I need to go." The group kept on going, then Norman turned, and said, "Hi! Nice to see you guys." He kept on going then said, "Good morning," he turned and said, "Sorry, I got to run." He soon stepped back, as if he bumped into someone, and said, "Oh! Excuse me. Pardon me. See ya!" Norman stopped as a man walked by, sidestepped, and kept going while the man looked at Norman funny, then looked at Taylor and her group, who grinned, and continued to follow Norman. They soon see him near a raccoon that was killed by getting ran over by a car, and said, "Hey there, little buddy." He patted his knees and said, "Come on, come here." He soon chuckled, then Taylor tapped on his shoulder, he looked at her, and moved her head, he looked, and saw to people looking at him with one shaking his head no. Norman stopped, and kept going, and said, "Yeah good to see you." He soon looked, and asked, "How you doing?" Taylor knew he was talking to the ghosts, and decided to put on her goggles, and placed on the Median Vision setting, as Norman said, "Hi, Mrs. Hardman. You look nice today. I like what you've done with your hair."
Taylor soon sees a ghost of a woman with a hairdryer in her hand, who asked, "Does anyone smell burning?" She soon smelled around for what was burning.
Taylor soon sees a hippie with his feet together and meditating, and said, "Hey, peace, man."
"Totally," Norman replied.
"Yeah," the hippie replied back.
Norman soon ducked, for Taylor sees a soldier on a horse with swords on its side. The soldier saluted, and said, "As you were, soldier."
Norman saluted back, and said, "Sir, yes, sir!"
Taylor saluted to the soldier as well, then sees a greaser that looks like the Fonz, who said, "Yo, Norman. You playing hooky with some new friends?"
"No, no, I'm just late for school. Sorry got to go." He soon walks by a man that had cement shoes, this made Taylor think a gangster ended up sleeping with the fishes. Norman sees the gangster, and asked, "How you doing?"
"Hey, how you doing?" the gangster asked.
He soon said while looking up, "Hi. How's it hanging?"
Taylor soon saw a female aviator with a parachute in the tree, who laughs and replied, "Haven't heard that one before. Well, it's a nice day."
Taylor soon sees a pigeon that had the bottle rings on its neck, and it coughs. Taylor soon mutters, while taking off her goggles, "Well that's what you get for not cutting those things properly."
"What did you say Taylor?" Norman asked.
"Nothing," Taylor replied, so not to arouse suspicion.
They continue downtown, they see a cop with what looks like a trainee, saying, "Watch and learn. 'Parking violation' is my middle name.
"Really? I thought it was Rhona," the trainee replied.
Taylor soon sees many people looking at Norman, which makes her feel sorry for him, since he must be an outcast for his ability to see ghosts. She soon sees some tourists trying to take pictures of the statue.
They eventually reach the school, and see the kids chatting, but stopped to see Norman with looks. As he walked to the school, they whisper, and move out of his way. Just then the school bell rang, and everyone resumed talking, while someone pushed Norman, knocking him down he soon glared, while Taylor went to help him, and said, "Man, people can be such bullies to those who are different."
Norman soon stopped, then looked, and saw something, Taylor and her friends see it too, it was Norman's great uncle. Taylor soon looked at Norman who shook his head and looked again, and his uncle was gone. She soon helped Norman back up, but took one of his zombie toys, and said, "I wish to see this, I'll give it back after I'm done with it, okay?"
Norman shrugged his shoulder, and said, "Whatever."
Norman soon went into the school, while Taylor and her friends wait for him, little does he know, Taylor was going to use the toy for something, as she said, "Now then let's see what problems he has in school." She puts on her goggles and uses her Enhanced Clairvoyance ability she got from her last adventure to see things through Norman's eyes.
Okay ending here since this was the end of the scene in the movie, so like in the last fanfic, I am splitting the chapters through the scenes of the movie. So, Taylor met Norman, and got a new ability, Median Vison, and seeing those ghosts either be useful or not, this is what I can come up with.
