I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, Qwark, or any of the ParaNorman characters.
Later that night, Taylor and Qwark went to the school play. They even see on the school sign says:
THE WITCH'S CURSE
Written, Produced, and Directed
for the stage by
MARGOT HENSCHER
Taylor even sees a thing below it saying:
SPELLING BEE Next Wensday
Taylor sees a couple with their kid, who was struggling while saying, "No, no, I don't want to go! I want to go home! I don't want to go!"
Taylor soon said, "Seems some kids don't want to watch a play."
"Well, I wouldn't either, unless the play is about me, and may grand adventures of me protecting my galaxy," Qwark replied.
Taylor rolled her eyes, and said, "Show off," Taylor put a hand to her ear and said, "Tess, I need you to stay in Prenderghast's house, I hope you don't mind the stench if they say he is a bum."
"Roger, Taylor, and don't worry, I had worse when I worked at Daxter's place back when Krew was running it as the Hip-Hog Heaven Saloon," Tess replied.
Taylor and Qwark soon went to the area, and see everyone sitting down and recording everything, while the kids were singing Donovan's 'Season of the Witch,' but were singing it with less enthusiasm. Taylor and Qwark soon were behind Sandra and Perry, who are Norman's parents. Perry soon said while having problems with his camera, "Great. Now I'll never get to remember this moment."
"Technical difficulties, sir?" Taylor asked, Perry and Sandra looked and saw the two, Taylor waved and said, "Hey, if your son told you about us, then we can skip introductions and enjoy the play." Sandra smiled at them, while Perry rolled his eyes.
The kids soon finish the song, and the audience applause to it, while a man said, "You stink."
Salma soon sighs, and said, "I curse you accusers to die a horrible and gruesome death and rise from your graves as the living dead!"
"Not as dramatic as Henscher made it during rehearsal," Taylor muttered.
"What was that?" Perry asked.
"Nothing," Taylor replied.
Alvin, and his bully friends dropped their pitchforks and began moving as if they were dying, while Salma continued, "Your souls doomed to an eternity of torture."
Norman looked at them, while Alvin screams, and shot out an arm.
There were scattered applauses, while the kids, save Norman and Neil, who's a tree, point pitchforks at Salma and chanted, "Kill the witch! Kill the witch! Kill the witch"
Sandra gasps, and asked, "Gosh, aren't they adorable?
The kids keep on chanting, then Taylor saw Norman looking at something. Confused, Taylor used Norman's Zombie action figure she still had, and used Enhanced Clairvoyance to see what Norman was seeing.
She sees through Norman's eyes an owl on the stage bars, while Norman asked, "What?" The owl soon swooped and landed on top of Neil.
During this the chanting slowed down, while Neil looked at Norman and asked, "What?" Norman continues to look at the owl, which then flies around, then Taylor sees that things were burning to reveal a forest.
"So, this is what Norman's great uncle meant by the sign," Taylor thought.
"Oh, no. Not again," Norman said.
Soon Norman, with Taylor seeing things through his eyes was in a forest. He dropped his pitchfork.
"This way. Over here," said a voice.
Taylor and Norman looked, and heard someone else saying, "Witch! We know you're out there." Taylor and Norman see two people, then Norman stepped backwards, and stepped on a twig, which snaps, causing Norman to gasp. The men looked, and the second one said, "There!"
"No!" Norman said.
The two people went to Norman, along with another one, while the second one said, "Witch."
Norman soon made a run for it, until he was stopped when some sticks blocked his path, causing him to gasp, but then screams as a branch grabs him and lifts him up, until the tree trunk growls, and showed a scary face, while saying in a distorted voice, "The dead are coming!"
Norman screamed as he struggles to break free, but then gasps when he sees the group of Puritans caught up to him then heard Neil's voice saying, "Hey, buddy," Norman turns and screams to see Neil's face, who asks, "Are you okay?"
Taylor soon took off her goggles, after hearing Norman screaming which caused everyone to look at him, and he yelled, "The dead are coming!" He soon ran off the stage, causing everyone to gasp as he fell down.
"Norman!" cried Sandra. This caused Taylor and Qwark to look in concern, Taylor sees Miss Henscher to look at the script.
Norman soon got up with a groan. Mitch soon asked, "Did he say the dead are coming?"
"No! No, no, no, no," replied Perry.
"Yes! The tree told me!" Norman exclaims.
"Oh boy," Taylor said, as the audience began to murmur about Norman's scene. Norman looked around, and then bows his head in shame.
Later after the play, Norman was going to his car with Perry and Sandra, when Taylor and Qwark approach them, and Perry asked, "Okay, what is it you guys want, we don't want to talk to you?"
"Look, Mr. Babcock, sir, Qwark and I have nowhere to stay, we just wish to just stay in your house for a day or two, please," Taylor replied.
Perry looked at them, sigh and said, "Okay, okay, get in the back."
"Thank you, sir, it's nice that your son has someone who is good to help us, once we have everything settle, we'll be out of your hair," Qwark said.
During the drive back to the Babcock residents, Perry soon said to Norman, "Despite these strange guys for friends, this is where it stops," Norman was still looking down as his father continues, "It's one thing being a mental case in front of your family, but not the whole flipping town!" He soon goes in the driveway, while continuing, "There is not going to be anymore talking to ghosts, or grandmas, or what is it now?"
"I think it's trees," Sandra replied.
Perry groans, looks at Norman, and said, "You are grounded. Do you hear me?"
Norman looks at his father, and looks down, shaking his head, and said, "This is ridiculous. I wish everyone could see what I see."
"Wish granted due to my new ability," Taylor muttered.
"What was that?" Perry asked.
"Nothing sir, just was thinking out loud," Taylor replied.
Perry soon got out of the car, as Norman said, "I didn't ask to be born this way."
As Perry said as he was walking to his house, "Funny. Neither did we." This caused Norman to look up in shock, as Perry groans, and said, "Kids. It never ends. It never ends!"
Taylor looked, he felt as depressed as Alice was when Taylor was helping fixing her Wonderland. She soon said to Norman, "Norman what you said, that shows you mean you just don't want to be yourself, Norman, but nobodies normal, or perfect, that's what makes us different, which also helps us find friends who really care, and one day, family might believe you."
Sandra looks at her son, and said, "You know, your friend here is right, it's just that sometimes people say things that seem mean, but they do it because they're afraid."
Norman looked at her, and replied, "He's, my dad. He shouldn't be afraid of me."
Norman got out of the car, as Sandra said, "He's not afraid of you. He's afraid for you." Norman shrugged his shoulders, and slowly walked inside. Sandra looked at Taylor and Qwark, and said, "Thanks for trying to cheer my son up."
"You're welcome, Mrs. Babcock," Taylor replied, as she, Sandra, and Qwark left the car as well to rest for the night.
Seems Norman made a scene in the play after seeing that vision, and his father is really mad at that.
