First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which Kirigiri gets in to a fight with some men, and she nearly died if not for Naegi, and now the plot thickens as she and Naegi are starting to sense a pattern as the abduction may be connected to the missing clown case, and they are starting to plan out how to flush out the culprits, and with the circus arc is still ongoing, expect a lot of fun...and suspense.
Yup, Naegi and Kirigiri made their move...and this will take a rather...suspenseful turn...

Much later, the scene shifts to the house where Kirigiri and Naegi are there, and Chihiro arrived and is surprised to see her forhead covered in bandage, and there she told Chihiro that his help is needed and he told her he is willing to help, in which she glanced at Chihiro, seeing that he is perfect for the plan she is laying out, and there she told Chihiro that he is going undercover, and he readily accepts it and said that he will do what she is asking her and Kirigiri nodded and there she said that it is a simple job and there she told him what happened an hour ago which Chihiro listened with intent.
"…and that's what happened…"
"…I see…"
"Chihiro-san…we need your help."
"You can count on me."
"That's good to hear."
"That was a close call…you almost died…I'll do as you asked…"
"Thank you."
"No problem."
Chihiro is concerned that Kirigiri nearly died and is thankful that Naegi got to her in time, and said he will do what she is assigning her to do, and as Kirigiri and Chihiro talked, Naegi listens on, and soon he stared wide-eyed upon hearing her suggestion and he approached Kirigiri and whispered to her why is she assigning Chihiro to do that particular task, and she reasoned that it is a perfect assignment for him as he is going undercover while she and Naegi are going to infiltrate the circus and that way they can get a lot of lead in regards to Piotr Nikolaivitch and who kidnapped Bismarck Ang-Lee.
"…and that is why, Naegi-kun…"
"But still…"
"It is fine…"
"But I think that is quite…"
"There is no other option…and Chihiro-san is perfect for the task I am assigning him…"
"But I think Chihiro-san would not be so…"
"Um…Naegi-san…it's okay…"
"Huh?"
Chihiro interjected and told Naegi that he doesn't mind it as he believes that it would help in the investigation and said that he need not worry about him and told Naegi that he and Kirigiri should focus on the circus so that they can find the clues they needed, which Naegi seemed reluctant but Chihiro assured to him that he will be okay.
"Are you sure, Chihiro-san…?"
"Uh-huh…"
"But…"
"I'll be fine. You two should focus on the circus."
"Chihiro-san…"
"Don't worry…I think I can handle this task."
"…"
"Relax…I can carry this task without problems…"
Naegi sighed seeing that Chihiro is fine with it, and there Kirigjri told Naegi that everything is set and the plan will commence as planned and there Chihiro went with Kirigjri as they went to her room, and Fuhito showed up, having overheard the conversation and told Naegi that his granddaughter is very resourceful and told Naegi to take advantage of her plans as she knows what plans she can lay out when it comes to undercover work.
"Naegi-kun."
"Fuhito-san…"
"You should take advantage of my granddaughter's plans…"
"Um…"
"She's knows what she is doing…and I believe she has the best options that are available…so you should go along with it since you are all going undercover…"
"…really…?"
"Of course…she is the Super High School-level Detective…"
"…"
Naegi sweat-dropped seeing that Fuhito is agreeing to his granddaughter's plans and he felt that the next day will be a roller coaster ride and he couldn't expect anything worse than this.

Ch. 85: Himitsu ni Suru
At an unspecified location the scene shows that a person, covered in silhouette, is picking up his cellphone, and is answering a call from someone, and there the caller told the unseen person that the assignment has been carried out and there were no problems so far, and the unseen person grinned seeing that everything is working out according to plan and is now preparing to commence the next step of the operation and is expecting that things would go smoothly without problems or complications, confident that the plans would push through without a hitch.
"So…how are things going?"
"We have the target."
"Did you encounter any problems?"
"A purple-haired woman tried to stop us, but she fell to her death. There are no other witnesses."
"Good. Getting rid of that clown is one thing…and now we have the other…our plans should go well without hitch."
"Then shall we proceed to the next phase?"
"Yes."
"As you wish, sir."
After that, the unseen mastermind puts down the phone, and is seen leaving the place, which turns out to be a tent and it is revealed that the place is the circus, and the unseen person is heading to another tent and is awaiting something which the unseen person is waiting for someone to arrive, and the night went on until the circus is closed and things went quiet for now.

The next day, the scene shifts to the condominium building where the scene zooms to the 14th floor where the scene shows that the unit room is being opened to public, where the room that belonged to Bismarck Ang-Lee has become a dating service, and there someone arrived and is standing outside, who turns out to be Chihiro, and he is dressed like a girl, and he took a deep breath as he recalled the instructions that Kirigiri gave him before coming to the condominium building.
-FLASHBACK-
"Chihiro-san…you know what to do…"
"I know…pretend to inquire about that place…and pretend to become an applicant."
"And when you find a chance…try to pick up anything that may act as a clue to this caper…and if things are too tight, just act as natural and not let them know you are onto them…"
"Got it."
"Just avoid panicking and stay as yourself."
"Right."
"Okay, good luck."
"I will…and thanks."
-END FLASHBACK-
Chihiro took a few seconds to prepare himself and is about to go in when a Russian woman went past him and entered the room where the dating service is being held, and Chihiro followed and went in, where he saw the Russian woman is checking the cabinet for some files, and after a few minutes she stopped and talked to the person in charge of the dating service and is asking him something, and after a minute the woman left, and the man in charge began accommodating Chihiro, and he was fooled into thinking that Chihiro is a girl and began offering him a lot of options in the dating service.
"Here…you may choose whatever you like…"
"…okay…"
"We have the best services we can offer…"
"…okay…"
"If you are unsure, let me know and we can come up with something easier…"
"…sure…"
"Believe me…you will benefit a lot…"
"Um…thanks…"
Chihiro kept a presence of mind and is observing the room, seeing that while it does look like a dating service, he noticed that there were several folders and files being stored, and the man in charge appeared to be bored, and the Super High School-level Programmer played his card and played his part in which he pretended to be intrigued by the dating service and the man accommodated him by offering him various options as he took out a folder and showed to Chihiro the choices he can choose.
"Here…you may choose whatever you like…"
"…okay…"
"We have the best services we can offer…"
"…okay…"
"If you are unsure, let me know and we can come up with something easier…"
"…sure…"
"Believe me…you will benefit a lot…"
"Um…thanks…"

Meanwhile, the scene shifts at the circus, where Naegi is walking around the place, wearing the red suit and cape, and as he is looking around at the various tents, he noticed that some of the performers were giving him the cold shoulders and bad eyes, as if they despise him for a reason, and on top of that, an elephant approached Naegi and sat on top of him, and the female trainer tried to get the elephant of him, and soon she apologized to Naegi and explained why the elephant did that to him.
"…you see, thus elephant is trained to sit on red-colored objects…and she mistook you for one…"
"…I see…"
"So I am sorry for that…"
"A-ha-ha-ha…don't worry about it…"
"Really, it is not my intention…"
"Um…it's fine."
"Still…I am sorry…"
"S-sure…it is not a problem…I think…"
Naegi sweat-dropped seeing that the elephant mistook him for a red object to sit on due to him wearing the red suit, and he sighed as he leaves the scene and went inside a tent, in which he looked around until he came across a cage, and he saw Kirigiri shoveling some hay and he approached her as he asks her what is she doing, and she discreetly answered his question as she does not want anyone to know that they are connected in order to maintain their undercover work.
"…"
"Yes, Naegi-kun…I am doing undercover…"
"But…why that of all the jobs…?"
"This is all they can offer…and frankly I am not fond with it, yet this is close as I can do without arousing suspicion…"
"…"
"Go on…explore the circus…if the culprits are connected to this circus…we can't let them know that we are connected…or our undercover would be blown…"
"Oh…right…"
"Now go, Naegi-kun…but be caureful…"
Naegi sweat-dropped at hearing that Kirigiri talked to the circus owner about finding a job, and he offered her to do some menial work, and she readily accepted it and thus she us assigned to clean the cage, and she told Naegi to continue his undercover work and try to ask anyone if they know anything about Piotr Nikolaivitch, and as Naegi left, Kirgiri continued to shovel the hay, and not far, two Russian men are staring at Kirigiri, and they appeared to have something up their sleeves upon seeing her.
"Look…"
"So…she has survived the fall…"
"But how…? We are several feet from the ground…there is no way she could…"
"It matters not…we must eliminate her…"
"Are you sure? She has never seen our…"
"We must ensure that we discard all threats…and her mere presence is a threat…we will proceed with our next plan."
"Very well…"
"Good…"
It turns out that the two men are the same ones who assaulted the condominium building yesterday and recognized her as the ones who try to stop them, and they began to get to work, as one of them secretly locked the door of the cage, and waited for the right moment to strike, and the other man went to the other tent, where Naegi is seen talking to someone, who is the one who will set the cannonball, and is giving Naegi some instructions.
"When I give the signal…you will go inside that cannon…"
"…okay…"
"And you will wait there until the cannon' fuse is lit."
"Uh-huh…"
"After about 10 to 15 seconds…the cannon will BLOW, and that is where you will be fired out."
"Okay."
"You get the drift?"
"Yes, I do…"
Naegi nodded as he slowly enters the cannon and is awaiting further instructions from the man but then the Russian man came and told the other man that he us being summoned, and as the man left, the Russian man took his chance, and with no one looking, he began toggling the cannon in which it was set to maximum output, and Naegi has no idea that the cannon has been toggled and the Russian man began to set the cannon by lighting the ignition fuse, and then sneaked away as he hid himself as he watches the cannon being prepared to fire, and he expects Naegi to be thrown out high, and fall to his death.
Back at the other tent, the other Russian man is watching Kirigiri shoveling the hay, and there the Russian woman arrived and talked to her compatriot and asks him how are things are going, in which he said that everything is going well and he is set to rid Naegi and Kirigiri, in which the Russian woman agreed seeing that besides being an eyesore, they are a threat to their plans, and she told him to get to work in order to advance in their plans.
"…I see…then we must get rid of those young-looking brats…"
"The girl inside the cage is no problem…but the boy in that RED SUIT…do we…?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"I believe he might be a threat simply because he is here looking for Mr. Nikolaivitch…and if he discover this…it may lead to more problems. Hence he too must be discarded."
"Our comrade is working on it…he is overseeing the boy…"
"Good…now get to work and rid of that girl."
"As you wish…"
The Russian man began to get to work as the Russian woman leaves the tent, and in a minute, a tiger entered the cage through a secret passage, and Kirigiri stared wide-eyed seeing that she is in a precarious situation and she slowly backed away as the tiger is slowly approaching her and she went to the door, but she gritted her teeth seeing that the cage door is locked, and thus she is trapped inside the cage and is looking around to see if she could find a way out of this mess.

Meanwhile, at the other tent, the Russian woman approached her other compatriot and asks him how are things here, and he said that in a few seconds, Naegi will be flying high and fall to his death, confident that his plans are flawless, and the Russian woman agreed, stating that the two teenagers are a hindrance to their plans.
"So…how are things here?"
"In a matter of seconds, the cannon will blow, and that boy will be fired way high…and he will fall to his death…"
"That is good."
"I believe he may be a…"
"Indeed…we cannot afford to let him live…he is a threat to us all…"
"And the girl…?"
"She will become a bloody carcass in a matter of minutes…"
"That is good to hear…"
The two Russians watched as Naegi is just seconds away from being shot off from the cannon and they are expecting that he would die a violent death.

Looks like their undercover work has commenced…but things did not go well as they hoped, as their targets seemed to be aware of the situation and made the first move. Kirigiri is about to become tiger food, and Naegi is about to be blasted up in the sky. Will these two be able to survive?
