First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which Naegi and Kirigiri are in trouble as the two Russian performers are set to cause a murder in the form of an accident, and this is where things take a turn should Naegi and Kirigiri manage to survive this, and the circus caper is getting more intense, so read on and enjoy!
Naegi nodded as he slowly enters the cannon and is awaiting further instructions from the man but then the Russian man came and told the other man that he us being summoned, and as the man left, the Russian man took his chance, and with no one looking, he began toggling the cannon in which it was set to maximum output, and Naegi has no idea that the cannon has been toggled and the Russian man began to set the cannon by lighting the ignition fuse, and then sneaked away as he hid himself as he watches the cannon being prepared to fire, and he expects Naegi to be thrown out high, and fall to his death.
Back at the other tent, the other Russian man is watching Kirigiri shoveling the hay, and there the Russian woman arrived and talked to her compatriot and asks him how are things are going, in which he said that everything is going well and he is set to rid Naegi and Kirigiri, in which the Russian woman agreed seeing that besides being an eyesore, they are a threat to their plans, and she told him to get to work in order to advance in their plans.
"…I see…then we must get rid of those young-looking brats…"
"The girl inside the cage is no problem…but the boy in that RED SUIT…do we…?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"I believe he might be a threat simply because he is here looking for Mr. Nikolaivitch…and if he discover this…it may lead to more problems. Hence he too must be discarded."
"Our comrade is working on it…he is overseeing the boy…"
"Good…now get to work and rid of that girl."
"As you wish…"
The Russian man began to get to work as the Russian woman leaves the tent, and in a minute, a tiger entered the cage through a secret passage, and Kirigiri stared wide-eyed seeing that she is in a precarious situation and she slowly backed away as the tiger is slowly approaching her and she went to the door, but she gritted her teeth seeing that the cage door is locked, and thus she is trapped inside the cage and is looking around to see if she could find a way out of this mess.

Meanwhile, at the other tent, the Russian woman approached her other compatriot and asks him how are things here, and he said that in a few seconds, Naegi will be flying high and fall to his death, confident that his plans are flawless, and the Russian woman agreed, stating that the two teenagers are a hindrance to their plans.
"So…how are things here?"
"In a matter of seconds, the cannon will blow, and that boy will be fired way high…and he will fall to his death…"
"That is good."
"I believe he may be a…"
"Indeed…we cannot afford to let him live…he is a threat to us all…"
"And the girl…?"
"She will become a bloody carcass in a matter of minutes…"
"That is good to hear…"
The two Russians watched as Naegi is just seconds away from being shot off from the cannon and they are expecting that he would die a violent death.

Ch. 86: Sākasukaosu
After a few seconds, the cannon was lit and the contents was blown, and Naegi was shot out from the cannon, and due to its impact set to maximum, Naegi was literally thrown out from the tent, and flew high upward towards the sky, and none of the other performers noticed that Naegi was shot out from the cannon and they went to their usual business, as if they pretended that they did not see or hear anything, and inside the tent, the Russian man and woman are pleased as they expect Naegi to either die or become paraplegic and would not return to the circus, and they are expecting that bothersome things won't get in their way.
"There he goes…"
"Well done…"
"We won't be seeing that boy again."
"Indeed…it's a pity that boy is quite cute…"
"Do not let the boy's look delude you."
"Yes, of course."
"Come…we still have work to do."
"Of course."
After that, the two Russians left the tent as they are awaiting their third comrade as he is watching Kirigiri get eaten by the tiger as she is trapped inside the cage, and expects her to die a gruesome death so that they have no problems coming in their way.

At the skies, Naegi is trying to control his flight after being shot off from the cannon, and he finds himself going through the clouds, and he shifted his weight and thus breaking his flight, but then descends downward and he tries to steer his way and managed to land down at a tree, which is near the circus, and he slowly gets down as he wondered what just happened and why he ended up in a such a situation right now. But then he gets a holographic image of Kirigiri climbing the cage bars as the tiger is reaching out for her and realized that she is in danger.
"Kirigiri-san!"
Naegi ran towards the circus and soon arrived at the tent where he saw that the cage door was locked, and seeing that the tiger is nearing its prey, and went to Kirigiri and told her to hang on, but she rebutted and said that she'll be minced meat if the tiger reaches her and Naegi started to panic as he is thinking of what to do until she told him what he should do.
"Get through the cage!"
"Eh?"
"You got the suit! Use the suit's power to get through the cage! Then try to overpower that tiger!"
"Um…are you sure…?"
"Just do it!"
"Oh, fine! Just hang in there!"
"I've been hanging in there for several minutes already!"
"Okay, okay!"
Getting what she meant, Naegi began to bend the cage bars with his hands and slowly got in, where he wrestled with the tiger until it was forced to submit and ran back to its entrance, and Kirgiri went down, sighing in relief that she had such a close call, and Naegi asks her what happened and she told him that someone is attempting to kill her by locking the cage door and sending in the tiger, and Naegi told her what happened to him, and she suspected that someone is trying to get rid of her and Naegi.
"Looks like the culprits we encountered at that condo are connected to this circus."
"Seriously?"
"it is the only answer I can give. Someone tried to kill me by using that tiger…the culprits must have sensed that we are connected, and tried to kill you by using that cannonball."
"…"
"It looks like going undercover may not be so easy as we thought…"
"Then…should I…?"
"No, continue working as a cannonball artist…"
"Okay…"
As the two teens are talking, the Russian man was in a state of disbelief and sneaked out of the tent, and soon went to the tent where his two fellow Russians are resting, and there he told them about what happened, and the trio are bothered that the two teenagers survived, and now they are considering in proceeding with their last-minute plan to get rid of the two academy students once the time comes for them to execute their plans.
"Really?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes…the boy in the red suit and cape…he bended the cage bars…and wrestled the tiger away…"
"Then we must alter our plans a bit…"
"Indeed…"
"First we need to get rid of that boy…"
"I agree…"
"Then let us plan…"

Later that night, the scene shifts to the Kirigjri house, where Naegi, Kirigiri, and Chihiro are at the living room, and are discussing about the events that happened earlier in the day, and there they deduced that there is some connection between Piotr's disappearance, Bismarck's abduction, and the attempts of murder at the circus, and Kirigiri asks Chihiro how were things at the dating service at the condominium building, in which Chihiro said that nothing much happened, except that his name and contact number was requested, but also mentioned that the man in charge appeared to be bored, and that he noticed that there were files and folders stored at the room's shelf, and he couldn't get close to it as he did not want to get suspected of being a fake girl who is just spying.
"I see…"
"I'm sorry, Kirigiri-san…I…"
"It's okay, Chihiro-kun."
"I guess you two have little luck…"
"On the contrary…it did help us figure out something."
"Really?"
"Yes. And I think we seemed to overlook something…"
"Huh?"
Kirigiri felt that they seemed to overlook something, and told Chihiro to be ready for anything as she expects that there is development happening here and said that if there is a chance, he should try to sneak a folder out and bring it to her so that she might establish a clue and a lead once she sees the content of the file, in which Chihiro nodded.
Kirigiri then glanced at Naegi and told him to go to the circus tomorrow, which is Saturday, and thus he has the whole day there and instructed him to talk to any of the performers there and ask them if they know where Piotr may be, in which he sensed that it is easier said than done, as he had a feeling that the circus may not what it seemed to be, in which she seemed to agree as Kirigiri revealed that the incident wasn't reported and that the circus owner did not even check on her and Naegi.
"Really, Kirigiri-san?"
"Yes. None of the performers checked on you nor are attracted by the rather loud bang from the cannon."
"…"
"This gives me the impression that the performers here may be in cahoots with the culprits."
"Kirigiri-san…"
"Naegi…you should continue…and pretend that you just want to know where Piotr is by claiming that you are Piotr's friend…so as not to arouse suspicion from them."
"Okay."
"Now then…"
The three teens talked some more, and they soon agree to keep up with their undercover work and both Naegi and Chihiro went home as Kirigiri is ready to go to her room when Fuhito approached her, and talked to his granddaughter saying that he was somewhat worried when he overheard that she was nearly mauled by a tiger at the circus, in which she assured to her grandfather that she will be fine and that she will be more careful.
"Do not worry, grandfather."
"Kyoko…"
"I will be more careful."
"But still…"
"It's fine. I have Naegi and Chihiro with me."
"Very well…just try not to overdo things."
"Yes."
"Very well, then. Just be careful, Kyoko."
Fuhito nodded seeing how determined she is and decided not to dissuade her and let her handle things on her own as she bid him good night as she went to her room, and Fuhito is wondering if she can handle this case and decided to talk to his colleagues about what the head of DSC is planning, why did he assigned Kyoko to such a case which would normally be he work of the local police, but then seeing that there is a conspiracy at the circus, maybe this was a blessing in disguise.

Looks like the situation at the circus hasn't changed much, except that the three Russians were in a state of disbelief that Naegi managed to survive the cannonball sabotage and saved Kirigiri, and now the three Class 78 classmates are making more plans to further their investigation of the circus..
