AN: I saw a Tiktok. I got an idea for a fanfic. No more needs to be said. But I'm going to anyway. Eri learns about Santa from Mirio. She asks Dadzawa if what Mirio said was true. When he tells her yes, she starts crying. Why? Read to find out. Oh, and I will be putting one of my OC's into this one. Why? Because I have an idea that needs his quirk to make it happen. If you want an in-depth description of said quirk, check out my other story: 'MHA: The Emerald Firebender.' Hope you all enjoy. AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Class 1-A Dorms: December 23rd.
Aizawa looked around at the common room. He, along with the rest of class 1-A, plus Eri, had just had a big Christmas party. So, as you can probably imagine, it was a bit of a mess. The others had just gone back to their dorms to put away some of the gifts that they got from the secret Santa they all decided to do.
So, Aizawa decided to get a head start on the cleanup process. But just as he was about to start, he felt a tug on his pant leg. He looked down and saw Eri looking at him with an anxious expression.
"Mr Aizawa?" She asked uncertainly.
He crouched down to where he was eye level with her.
"Is everything alright Eri?" He asked her in a soft and gentle tone. He would never admit it outloud, but he loved the little girl to death. And he would forever deny that she looked cute as hell in her little Santa outfit.
Eri looked down and fidgeted with the edge of her outfit. She looked nervous. "Lemillion told me about how Santa Claus comes to bring all the good children presents in a big sleigh pulled by reindeer…" she looked up at him and asked hesitantly. "Is that true?"
Aizawa's heart didn't just melt a little. He smiled. "Yea it's true."
He had expected to see her get all excited. But Eri suddenly started to cry, making him look at her in worried confusion.
She sniffed as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Was I never good then?" She asked in a broken tone.
Aizawa's anger spiked at hearing this, and not for the first time, he wished he would have had the chance to kill Overhaul. But he pushed his anger down and placed a hand on Eri's head, making her look at him.
He smiled at her fondly. "You have always been good, Eri." He said in a serious tone. "And I am certain that Santa knows that. He just couldn't get to you. But trust me…" he said as he rubbed her head, smile growing just a little bit more. "Now that he knows you are safe and sound here with me, Deku and Lemillion, he will be able to come and visit you."
Eri's tears subsided as a bright hopeful smile grew across her face. "You really think so!?"
Aizawa chuckled lightly. "Yea, I know so."
Eri smiled and hugged him. "Thanks Mr Aizawa!"
Aizawa hugged her back. "No problem, Eri."
But what the two of them didn't notice was that someone heard the entire conversation.
Roku MacGrath slowly crept back around the corner and made his way back upstairs, being sure to actually take the stairs. Once there, he whipped out his phone and opened the class 1-A group chat.
Ice King: EMERGENCY MEETING! EVERYONE IN MY ROOM NOW!!!
Froakie: Why!? What's wrong!?
Sonic: Yes, is there a problem? Why do we all need to meet in your room?
Alien Queen: Yea!? What's happening!? Is it life threatening!?
Sugar boi: Are we in danger!?
Broccoli boi: Why are we being summoned!? How much trouble are we gonna be in?
Pikachu: Will there be snacks?
Icy Hot: If there are snacks, will Soba be one of them?
RockNroll: Is this gonna be a giant prank you want to pull?
Sparkly boi: Dont pull a prank without moi!
Explody boi: WILL YOU ALL SHUT THE FUCK UP!
Ice King: EVERYONE SHUT UP AND GET IN MY ROOM. I'LL EXPLAIN WHEN YOU GET HERE!
And five minutes later, everyone was in Roku's room. It was a little cramped but they all made it work. They all looked at Roku expectantly.
"So, what's the big emergency?" Hagakure asked in anticipation.
"Yea, why are we here? It's almost curfew." Ochako informed, not wanting to get in trouble with Aizawa.
Roku looked at them all with sad eyes. "I just overheard a conversation between Eri and Aizawa."
"About?" Jiro asked with a raised eyebrow.
Roku sighed before he relayed the conversation to his class. As soon as he finished, they all looked at each other in sadness. Even Bakugo was disheartened, though he would never admit it. He kinda liked Eri.
"Damn." Was all that Kirishima said. "I knew she didn't have a good life, but never celebrated Christmas? That's all kinds of evil."
"Poor Eri." Tsu said in sadness.
"I keep forgetting that Eri isn't just another kid. She has been denied a lot of the things we all had while growing up." Denki stated.
Izuku's hands clenched in anger. "We have to do something about that. Give her a Christmas she will remember."
Roku nodded. He then grinned. "Which is why I have a plan." They all looked at him in expectation. "But for it to work, I'm gonna need a few things. First things first, presents. Bust out your wallets everyone. I want everyone to go and get Eri a gift and make it look like it was from Santa."
"Does it have to be one gift?" Todoroki asked as he lifted a credit card. "I still have Endeavors credit card."
"No. Get as many as you want. In fact, I want a whole pile taller than our tree." Roku responded.
"Umm," Kirishima said, raising his hand. "Our tree is 12 feet tall."
Roku glared at him. "Did I stutter?"
Kirishima lowered his hand. "Alright."
Todoroki slipped the credit card back in his pocket. "I can handle the gifts then."
"Next up. Kiri, get Fatgum on the phone. I need him here tomorrow night." Roku instructed.
Kirishima nodded and pulled out his phone and went into the hallway.
"What else do you need?" Mina asked, eager to help.
Roku raised his hands and began ticking off what he needed. "I need an XXXXlarge Santa costume, some reindeer, Uraraka, Koda, Auoyama, some ice, a sleigh, a fountain pen, a blank piece of parchment, a little glitter, Jiro, Izuku, and a prosthetic leg."
Shoji looked at him in confusion. "What do you need a prosthetic leg for?"
"Don't ask questions!" Roku replied. He looked at everyone expectantly. "What!? Are you all made of stone!? Get moving! We have work to do!"
Everyone scrambled out the door to start gathering what they needed.
Christmas Eve 9:30 PM
"Alright, is everyone ready and in their positions?" Roku asked, pressing a finger to his earpiece. After receiving a round of affirmatives, Roku responded. "Alright guys, don't screw this up. We get one chance at this, so make it count. Let's go!"
Izuku nodded and smiled at Eri, who was sitting in his lap watching Jiro with wide eyed happiness. Jiro was on the couch with her guitar in hand, singing Let it Go. She may have found the disney songs a little annoying herself, but she would gladly keep singing them for the little girl. All to see that smile on her face.
The two of them were keeping Eri occupied until everyone else was ready.
But all of a sudden, they heard a loud voice boom throughout the dorm.
"HO HO HO!"
Jiro stopped singing as she looked around and pretended to be confused. Izuku and the other students also looked around in pretend confusion. The only ones who were actually confused were Eri herself and Aizawa, who was sitting nearby grading papers and keeping an eye on Eri.
"What was that?" Ojiro asked.
"Why are you asking me?" Kirishima asked.
"HO HO HO!"
Eri's eyes widened in sudden realization. "Santa!?" She whispered.
Sato walked towards the balcony. "I think it's coming from outside."
Eri immediately jumped from Izuku's lap and bolted for the door. Izuku and the others chuckled at her enthusiasm. Aizawa was confused as to what was going on, but got up to see what was happening.
Sero watched as Eri raced towards the door. "Now!" He said into his earpiece.
On top of the roof of UA's main building, Roku nodded at his team. "Go, go, go!"
Uraraka used her quirk on a couple reindeer that were tied to a sleigh. She then used her quirk on the sleigh itself before hopping in the back and crouching down. Koda, who was also in the back, spoke his command to the reindeer, causing them to start running towards the edge of the roof. Roku, who was also in the back of the sleigh, lifted his hand and activated his quirk. Thanks to his lightning and ice powers, Roku had a very limited amount of control over the weather. Specifically Tornadoes, thunderstorms, small hurricanes and blizzards.
Roku raised his hand and manipulated the air currents to guide their sleigh. And the one piloting their ride was Fatgum, dressed in a Santa costume.
As soon as the reindeer jumped over the ledge of the roof, taking the sleigh with them, they all began flying through the sky. Just in time to, for Eri came running out of the dorms a second later.
As soon as Roku saw her, he smiled and raised his other arm towards the back of the sleigh. A light shower of tiny ice shavings started falling from his hand, leaving an icy mist trailing behind them. Uraraka saw this and smiled as she pressed a finger to her ear.
"Your up Auoyama!" She said, hoping that everything went according to plan.
On the roof of the dorms, Auoyama responded. "Oui, mon ami!" He said before he thrust his belly towards the back of the sleigh, and fired a continuous wide spread beam. The beam was nowhere near as potent as his usual beams, making it sort of translucent, and easier for his stomach. It made him look like he was shooting a spotlight.
The effect was amazing. The beam of light reflected off the tiny ice crystals, making it look like the sleigh was creating a rainbow as it flew through the sky.
Eri ran out of the dorms and immediately looked at the night sky. Her eyes widened in amazement as an awed smile grew across her face.
Fatgum saw this and knew it was his turn. He waved down at the school below. "MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!" He then focused on Eri and waved at her, making her jump in excitement. "ESPECIALLY TO YOU, LITTLE ERI! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!"
The expression of sheer joy on Eri's face made the hassle of putting everything together entirely worth it. And as the sleigh made its way farther out of sight, Izuku came up behind Eri and picked her up.
Eri looked at Izuku with a smile so wide he wouldn't be surprised if it hurt. "Deku! It's Santa!! It's really him!!"
Izuku smiled. "Yes it is, Eri, yes it is." He then turned and walked back towards the dorms. "Now let's get you to bed. I'm sure that you will have a lot of gifts from Santa when you wake up."
Eri's enthusiastic nod made everyone smile.
As soon as Izuku went upstairs to put Eri in bed, Aizaw turned to the remaining students. "I know you all put this together. And all I have to say," the class faltered a little as he paused. "Is nice work. Thank you all for giving Eri just a little bit more joy in her life."
This made everyone smile in thanks.
The Next Morning
As soon as morning came, everyone was awoken by Eri running through the halls, banging on everyone's doors and screaming "IT'S CHRISTMAS."
Everyone wasn't annoyed at being woken up by her though. Not even Bakugo, surprisingly enough.
As soon as Eri ran into the common room, with everyone trailing behind her with eager smiles, she stopped and stared at the absolutely massive amount of presents that were in front of the tree. Aizawa's eyes widened in shock as he saw that it was taller than the tree. He turned towards his class with raised eyebrows, but all he saw were attempts at looking innocent.
On a box in the center of the pile, was a note written on elegant parchment. Izuku walked up and grabbed the note, crouching down so that Eri could see. Aizawa looked over his shoulder and was a little surprised to see that the note looked to be written in glitter.
"To Eri." Izuku read. "I'm sorry that I haven't been able to visit you these past couple Christmas's. It is a little difficult for even me to sneak around when people are watching you all day and night. So, I have a lot of presents that I owe you. I hope this makes up for not being able to see you these past few years. You are one of the nicest little girls on my nice list, so don't ever let anyone tell you differently. With lots of love, Santa."
Eri's eyes filled with tears of happiness as she heard 'Santa' say she was one of the nicest on his nice list. It really boosted her confidence in herself. She hugged Deku in happiness.
Izuku hugged her back. But it seems even Bakugo's patience with Eri had a limit. "Alright! That's enough. Stop wasting time and see what Sata got you, squirt."
Everyone sent him smug looks, which he chose to ignore. Eri immediately let go of Izuku and dived for the pile of presents, tearing into one, causing wrapping paper to go flying.
Only one thought that went through everyone's head as they watched the sheer joy light up Eri's face.
'Mission Accomplished.'
AN: And there it is! Eri's first Christmas. I hope it was as satisfying for you all to read. This is my first one shot, so don't come at me with the hate. And I wanted to post this on Christmas day, just because. So sorry for the wait. And to anyone reading my other stories, new chapters are coming soon. I promise. That's all folk, good night!!
