First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which Naegi and Kirigiri are in getting deeper in to the investigation as they have a feeling that the circus they are infiltrating may not be what the venue appeared to be, thus their investigation gets deeper and deeper, so read on and enjoy!
At outer space, the scene shifts to the UFO where Ophani and Cherubi are monitoring Japan, and it was morning there, and he two aliens are watching Naegi at his room putting on the red suit and cape before he puts on his casual clothes, and Cherubi is rather annoyed at what the Luckster is doing, as for the past two days he is using the red suit mainly doing silly stunts but Ophani said that Naegi's actions are justifiable as he is doing a good deed aiding Kirigiri in solving a crime, though Cherubi seemed to disagree on that matter.
"I say that boy is just fooling around..."
"No, he is not..."
"Look at him...he's spending the past few days roaming around wearing the suit...and up until now there are no results shown...!"
"Be patient, Cherubi..."
"You are spoiling that Earth boy too much, Ophani...!"
"I am not!"
"That Makoto Naegi...I believe he is a wrong choice in possessing the suit...
"You are wrong...!"
As the two aliens bicker, Seraphi was watching the events at Earth, and is observing Naegi, seeing that there was a bit of doubt in the boy yet he quietly accepted it as if he had no choice, yet Seraphi can see the goodness in Naegi and knows that he is doing the right thing in which the alien is confident that Naegi will one day appreciate why he was given the red suit for a reason, and hoped thst when the right time comes, he will personally approach Naegi and asks him a favor which he hoped that Naegi would accept his request.
By then his trail of thoughts was interrupted when the bickering between his two fellow aliens is getting louder and he sighed seeing that he has to calm them down so that there would be no conflict among them and sees that they are arguing over Naegi and decided to step in to quell the tension as the two aliens are raising their voices against each other.
"I say Makoto Naegi is a bad choice!"
"No, he is the right one!"
"That boy is full of himself!"
"How can you judge that boy so harshly?"
"That boy does not have what it takes to..."
"Makoto Naegi is a pure boy! For the past several months he has..."
"Stop trying to defend him!"
"I will not!"
Seraphi stepped in and urged his comrades not to bicker over trivial matters, urging Ophani not to take things too personally, while urging Cherubi to have faith in Naegi, and the two aliens stopped their argument and abides Seraphi's urge to calm themselves.

Ch. 87: Sākasu no Inbō
At the Naegi residence, Naegi is set to leave the house after getting his lunchbox, and he is mentally sighing as today is the day that the circus will perform, and Naegi is chosen as the star attraction, and he mentally wondered why things ended up like this, and he wondered how Chihiro is doing as he is still doing undercover work at the dating service, and as he is about to leave, his mom approached him as she noticed that her son is leaving so early knowing that he doesn't have classes at Saturdays at Hope's Peak Academy.
"Makoto..."
"Yes, mom?"
"Where are you going?"
"Well..."
"You don't have classes since it is Saturday today..."
"Ah...I have a part-time job..."
"What? Really?"
"Well, yeah..."
Naegi's mom is quite surprised to hear that her son said that he has a part-time job and she is asking him what made him decide to take a job, in which he claims that he wanted to earn money, and seeing that she might ask more questions, he said that he will earn a lot which would cover his allowance for next week and said that it is better than seeling drugs, in which his mom cautions him that he should be careful in choosing a part-time job.
"Just make sure it is not some kind of..."
"Yes, mom..."
"And be sure that you are not being exploited..."
"I know..."
"And please...try not to do things like buying drugs and all..."
"I would never do that!"
"It's for your own good..."
"..."
After that, Naegi bid his mom goodbye as he hurriedly leaves the house, and as Naegi left, Komaru is watching her elder brother leave, wondering what kind of part-time job he took and wondered if this is okay since she knows that Naegi is spending most of his time using the red suit to solve crimes, and by then her cellphone rang and she answered it, in which the caller turns out to be her classmates and she is inviting Komaru to go out with their friends as she said that there is a new attraction within Tokyo which Komaru seemed to be enticed.
"A circus, you say?"
"Yeah, Komaru...and it looks kind if fun.."
"Hmm..."
"What do you say, Komaru?"
"Okay, I'm in!"
"Okay...I'll ask the others if they wabt to tag along..."
"Good idea!"
"See you later!"

Later, at the circus, Naegi got out of the office as he had a talk at the circus owner in which he is going to be the main attraction and encouraged to do his best, and the owner promised that if it drew many watchers, Naegi will be given a bonus if his performance is good, and Naegi just nodded and smiled as he said that he will do his best, and as Naegi left, the owner went back to his office while the two Russian men are watching Naegi leave, and they whispered among themselves about the boy, believing him to be in league with Kirigiri and are determined to get rid of him today.
"That Japanese boy..."
"Yes..."
"I am sure...he is in league with the purple-haired girl..."
"Indeed...I saw them talking..."
"We must get rid of that boy..."
"Yes...then we kill the girl..."
"The boy must die first..."
"Of course..."
After that, the Russian woman approached her two comrades and told them to get ready as today will be crucial as they must accomplish their work and to ensure that Naegi must be dealt with at once, which the two men agreed and promised her that they will see to it that Naegi will die today at the circus and no one can stop them from achieving their goals.
"Yes, we will do it..."
"The Japanese boy will die today..."
"We will see to it."
"This time we will not fail..."
"And we shall accomplish our tasks..."
"That we promise you."
"Good. You two must be ready."
"Of course."

Later at the circus, Naegi is roaming around the place and looked at the performers, who appeared to be less appreciative towards him, and he can sense that they do not like him and he wondered if he did something to tick them off and taking a deep breath, he decided to try and befriend them and the other performers just accomodated him, in which he began asking them if they saw where Piotr Nikolaivitch is, and the performers glanced at each other before answering Naegi.
"Sorry..."
"We don't know..."
"Haven't seen him..."
"Maybe he went AWOL..."
"Not my problem..."
"Who cares..."
"Whatever..."
"I don't care..."
The performers claimed that they haven't seen Piotr, and said they don't know where he is, and seeing that the other performers either do not know or are just evading the subject, Naegi bowed and took his leave, and he went to the other areas of the circus, and approached the other performers, such as clowns, acrobats and even fire eaters, asking them if they seen Piotr around, and they too gave Naegi the same answers like before.
"Sorry..."
"We don't know..."
"Haven't seen him..."
"Maybe he went AWOL..."
"Not my problem..."
"Who cares..."
"Whatever..."
"I don't care..."
Naegi sweat-dropped seeing that he got the same answer as earlier, and not wanting to arouse suspicion, he took his leave and left, in which the other performers glanced at Naegi giving off some vibes that they do not appreciate his presence, and the Russian woman saw this, as she suspected that Naegi came here at the circus for a reason, and she is determined to get rid of him once and for all, and left as she went back to her tent.
As Naegi is walking, he is approached by a midget, dressed like a clown and he is of African-American descent, and there he talked to Naegi and Naegi wondered what the midget wanted with him, yet he is assuming that he might know something about Piotr and is ready to listen, but the conversation gave Naegi a different feeling as if the midget is giving Naegi an omnious warning.
"Hey, you..."
"Me?"
"Yeah, you...with the ahoge..."
"..."
"I hear you're looking for Piotr, right?"
"Well, yeah..."
"If you want to last longer here...you better stop asking about him...and if I were you I would stop snooping around and focus on work...if you want to live a little longer...that's all I can tell you...punk."

The midget then walked away, and Naegi watches him leave, as he is now sure that Kirigkri's theory is right, there is a conspiracy between the circus, the dating service, and Bismarck's abduction, and there he decided to head for Piotr's tent where he is going to meet with Kirigiri, intending to tell her what he just got and is wondering what she would think of all this, and felt that things are going to get bit complex than he perceive.

Looks like the investigation is getting deeper, and now Naegi is given a rather ominous advice, and this means that he and his two classmates are getting more and more suspicious about the case they are investigating...
The aliens are getting divided over Naegi's action and Seraphi had to calm his fellow aliens down as they observe what Naegi is doing with the red suit while inside the circus...

Naegi continues his undercover work at the circus, but problem ensues as someone unexpected showed up, and Naegi will be in a huge sorts of trouble…
