First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, as Naegi and Kirigiri continue to conduct their secret investigation inside the circus…but would soon walk in to a problem, so read on and enjoy!
At the tent, the three Russians are talking about something, the subject of their discussion is all about Naegi, in which the Russian woman said that Naegi is asking everyone about Piotr Nikolaivitch, which she is starting to get apprehensive that he might find out something, but her two compatriots assured to her that Naegi won't find anything as the performers will not say a word about Piotr, and the two men promised that Naegi will be dealt with today.
"Do not worry..."
"This will be over soon..."
"That brat will die..."
"And once he die, no one will get in our way..."
"Have faith in us..."
"We never fail..."
"We will succeed..."
"Yes...and we will get what we want..."
After that, the three Russians are being summoned by the circus owner, in which the trio said that they will go to his office in a few minutes, and there the Russian woman told the two men to make sure that Naegi will not survive today and that they must proceed with the plan, and urged them not to make any more mistakes as they cannot afford to fail, and the two Russian men gave her their assurance that they will accomplish their tasks within today.
"Do not worry..."

Ch. 88: Yoki senu hōmon-sha
At Piotr Nikolaivitch's tent, Naegi arrived and so was Kirigiri, and there he approached her asking what she did just now, and said that she used a disguise to walk around the circus as she figured that the assailants are working here and that they have recognized her so she wore a wig and a different outfit so as she can navigate herself around the circus without attracting attention, and she was using a careful approach in asking anyone here about Piotr.
"...and that is why I am wearing something different...fortunately, I made sure no one see me entering this tent..."
"..."
"You should know by now that the culprits have recognized me...which explain why they locked me in that cage with a tiger when I was posing as a cage cleaner...they have seen my face back at the condominium when Bismarck was abducted. Moreover, I pretended to be someone by posing as an insurance agent so that they won't suspect me of being a detective when I asked everyone here about Piotr."
"...oh...right..."
"So, Naegi-kun..."
"Huh...?"
"How is your investigation?"
"Well..."
Naegi in turn told her that he did the same thing, and said that none of the people he asked know anything about Piotr, and as he looked around, he said he was approached by an American midget performer and told him to stop asking about Piotr and said he should leave the circus saying that his life would end if he keeps on pestering anyone about where Piotr is, and Naegi told her that he had a feeling that no one here wants to mention Piotr, and Kirigiri is now sure that there is indeed a conspiracy within the circus, and suspected that the dating service and Bismarck's abduction are connected in some way.
"So, then that means our hunch is right on the spot."
"Kirigiri-san?"
"There is indeed a conspiracy, Naegi-kun. The abduction of Bismarck...the dating service...the disappearance of Piotr Nikolaivitch...they are all connected."
"You think so...?"
"We still lack proof...but we can tell that this is the case."
"...um..."
"What is it, Naegi-kun?"
"About Fujisaki-san..."
Naegi then asks Kirigiri how Chihiro is doing and she said that she hasn't gotten a call or text from him and said that he will contact her once he finds any info or lead, and right now she advised Naegi to be on guard as she sensed that the assailants are nearby and they may use today's performance as a way to kill him, and he nodded, and thus Naegi removed his casual clothes, revealing the red suit and cape and he began to leave the tent as he is off to try to find a lead, and Kirigiri watched Naegi head off, and she sensed that today's activities at the circus would play a crucial role on finding out who the abductors are and all she needed is a sign to unmask the culprits and see if they have any lead towards Bismarck's whereabouts.

A few hours later, it was almost lunchtime, and Naegi is walking the areas within the circus, and he again asks other performers about Piotr and they were reluctant to answer him, and he sees that they did not want to have anything to do with Piotr, and remembering what Kirigiri told him Naegi opted not to pester them and left, and soon he came across the female elephant trainer and he asks her if she knows anything about Piotr, and unlike the other performers, the female elephant trainer willingly answered his queries based on what she knows.
"Well, about Mr. Nikolaivitch..."
"Yes...?"
"He seemed to be a nice guy..."
"And...?"
"Well...he's quite serious..."
"Okay...did you notice anything from him before he...?"
"Well...not really..."
"..."
The woman said that Piotr was an average guy and he seemed to be a rather serious type and she did not sense anything bad about him, though she did notice that other performers did not like him, and said that since a few days ago she hasn't heard from him, and even the circus owner did not seem to mind it, and she said that it is all she knows, and Naegi thanked her as he leaves, realizing that something is indeed strange going on at the circus, and as he is walking around, he stopped as his heart beats faster upon hearing recognizable voices, and he became more worried as the voices belonged to his classmates from Class 78, and what's worse, they saw Naegi and called out to him, and some balked at seeing him wearing the red suit.
"Hey, look!"
"Huh?"
"Isn't that...?"
"It's Naegi!"
"Hey, Naegi!"
"Over here!"
"What a coincidence seeing you here!"
"Whoa...what's with that getup?"
Naegi is at loss for words as he is thinking of a way to explain to them without telling them about the red suit, and did not want them to know that he is a reluctant superhero, until he came up with something and answered them back, which appeared to work due to the spontaneous reply he came up with, and he hoped that his classmates do not suspect him of being the GUY WITH THE RED SUIT WHO CAN FLY, and the others were rather skeptical of the alibi he gave.
"My, Naegi-kun...did you sleepwalk on your way here...?"
"Come on, Celes-chan...don't be so mean..."
"Hey, Naegi...what's with that red pajamas...and why are you wearing a cape...?"
"Um...you see..."
"Come on, Naegi...what is your alibi...?"
"I...work...part-time here..."
"Huh? You're working here?"
"Really?"
By then, Maizono arrived along with her four idol band members, as they passed by and saw the circus and they decided to check it out, and the five girls were surprised to see Naegi and his classmates, and Maizono stared wide-eyed seeing him wearing the red suit and feared that her classmates would suspect him of something, and her idol band friends asks her about Naegi.
"Whoa...check that out..."
"Sayaka...isn't that Makoto Naegi...the boy who saved you from our ex-manager...?"
"Um...yeah..."
"What's he wearing...?"
"Yeah...why is he in his pajamas...and wearing a cape...?"
"..."
"Is he really that mentally wimpy...?"
"Come on, Satomi...he might be like that, but he's the one who saved Sayaka..."
But as Maizono's band mates, and Naegi's classmates stared at Naegi, awaiting his reply as they asks him what is he doing here at the circus and why is he wearing the red suit and cape, and things became more tense as Yamada shrieked upon recognizing the red suit as the one he saw in the manga, and demanded an explanation from Naegi about it, and Naegi sweat-dropped as he is trying to come up with something to quell the tension.
"WWWWAAAHHH!"
"What's wrong, Yamada?"
"Look...the suit Naegi-dono is wearing...it's the same one as in the manga!"
"Huh?"
"You're right..."
"Yeah...when you look closely...Naegi resembles the manga character himself..."
"Naegi-kun..."
"..."
The others stared at Naegi as they are getting more suspicious at their classmate, and Maizono is worried that Naegi's classmate are onto him, and Maizono's fellow idol, Ayaka, asks him if Naegi is really an average guy or does he have an outrageous secret, which Maizono tries to cover it up to protect Naegi from suspicion which would potentially cause problem for the Luckster.
"Sayaka..."
"What is it, Ayaka-chan?"
"About that Naegi..."
"..."
"I know he saved you back there...but is he really an average guy? Or does he have a rather dark secret...?"
"Um..."
"I mean...look...walking around the circus...wearing only a pair of pajamas...draped in a short towel...he might be mistaken for a mental patient..."
"No, Ayaka-chan...you see..."
Naegi feels that he is in trouble and wished that Kirigiri were here to bail him out, but right now he has to think of a way to fool them so that they wouldn't suspect him of being the SUPER GUY.

Not far from the circus, you can see three persons meeting up, they turn out to be the former Hope's Peak Academy students who graduated two years ago, and they are now involved with the academy itself, having found work. They are:
- Kyosuke Munakata
- Chisa Yukizome
- Juzo Sakakura
Yukizome found work at Hope's Peak as a teacher, while Sakakura works as head of security. Munakata, on the other hand, is working on establishing an international branch of Hope's Peak, and the trio meet up after Yukizome summoned them. There she told her two friends that she will be treating them as she suggested that they enjoy a little fun once in a while, and her two male friends were reluctant at first, but accepted at her urging, and she showed them the poster about the circus.
Sakakura sighed as he felt it could be boring, yet she assured to him that he will enjoy it, however, they noticed that Munakata had a rather anxious reaction upon seeing the poster, where it showed the circus' main attraction - the human cannonball, where it showed Naegi wearing the red suit, and Sakakura approached Munakata and asks him what is wrong, and there Munakata grabbed Sakakura by his collar and told him that this is the one he's been trying to tell in the past several weeks.
"Sakakura...look!"
"Huh?"
"This is what I've been telling you!"
"Whoa...Munakata...what are...?"
"This is him...the kid I saw...he ran...he jumped...and flew in the air!"
"Hey...you're not making any sense...!"
"The kid is for real! He can fly like Superman!"
"Calm down! There's no way a wimpy kid can fly like that!"
Munakata is now acting like a NERVOUS WRECK upon seeing Naegi on the circus poster as he recalled seeing him in the red suit and fly, and Munakata has been like this since and Yukizome sighed as she believed that he is suffering from stress and tells Munakata he needs to relax and tells Sakakura to carry him ans they are going to take a tour inside the circus to help Munakata loosen up, which Sakakura agreed, and carries Munakata in his arms and tells him to calm down and relax.

Looks like Naegi is in deep trouble…his classmate saw him wearing the red suit, and are slowly suspecting him of being the SUPER GUY...
Munakata is nearby, and if he sees Naegi…the trouble would double…
