First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which after a hundred chapters Naegi and Kirigiri finally get to meet the aliens personally, and there they are about to find out the reason why the SHSL Luckster was given the red suit, but something will happen within this chapter that would affect the characters in this story arc, especially Naegi, so read on and enjoy!

Well, then, read on and find out!

The scene shifts to the road where the car is traveling after entering Mt. Bandai, and you can see that Fuhito and Maizono are staring at the scene in front of them, until Maizono starts to panic a bit as Komaru called on her cellphone and is asking her if she knows where Naegi is, and through Fuhito's instruction, Maizono told Komaru that Naegi is with Kirigkri and are doing a study camp, and Maizono told Komaru to tell her parents that Naegi will spend the night at Kirigiri's house, and Komaru accepted and turns off the cellphone, and there Maizono went into a panic as she became very worried about Naegi, and Fuhito assures to her that the two teens are okay, he did all he could to calm her down, and by now they are in the middle road of Mt. Bandai, and the two noticed that there are no other vehicles traveling, and seeing a pair of tire tracks before them, they can only guess that the tire tracks belonged to the vehicle that Naegi and Kirigiri used, and this made Maizono feel more worried, and anxious, to get out there and see him, but Fuhito urged her to stay calm as he can see that the car is still moving on its own, meaning that the two other teens are somewhere within Mt. Bandai.

"Maizono…calm yourself."

"But…"

"We are heading to where Kyoko and Naegi are at."

"Eh?"

"Do not worry, I am sure that they are safe."

"Are you sure, sir?"

"Yes. So do not worry and relax."

"…"

Maizono reluctantly calmed down as she sat back and Fuhito looked at the scene before him as the car traveled and he had a feeling that the car is taking them somewhere secluded, and he can only guess that they are heading to the same spot where he first saw the UFO ship six months ago, and wondered what would happen if he do meet with the aliens, and this is something he and Maizono would brace themselves while at the same time worried about his granddaughter and Naegi's wellbeing.

After about 20 minutes the car came to a stop, where they saw the hotdog van parked, and there the car's door opened and both Fuhito and Maizono got out, and there they checked the van seeing that there is no one around, except seeing bloodstains on the seat, and when they went outside they saw bloodstains on the ground, and Maizono began to panic and Fuhito urged her to remain calm in order for her not to go into a nervous breakdown.

"Naegi!"

"Calm down…"

"But…Naegi…he…he..!"

"Please calm down…"

"How can I? there's blood! What if…what if he's…"

"Do not worry, I am sure that they are safe."

"Are you sure, sir?"

"Yes. If I am correct…the aliens may have taken them and treat his wounds."

Despite his calm and stoic manner, Fuhito himself is starting to get worried, not sure who is injured, whether it is his granddaughter or Naegi, and there all he can do now is wait and see what happens, seeing that they were brought here for a reason, and hoped that the results would be a good one, if not a worrying one.

Ch. 101: Uchūbito to kao o awasete

The scene shifts back at the UFO, where Seraphi is giving Kirigiri a tour inside their spacecraft, and she noticed that most of the staff inside the ship are hand-sized robots, and realized that only the three aliens are the only ones here and so far Seraphi is treating her like a guest and for now she would have to stay calm, and let things run its course and hoped that Naegi would be okay, and as the tour is about to end, she decided to ask him if he and his fellow aliens are the ones who gave Naegi the red suit, which he nodded, and when she asks him the reason for this, Seraphi smiled and said that it would be appropriate if Naegi is awake so that he can tell his answer to the boy face to face, and told her to be patient for a while, which she reluctantly nodded.

"We will come to that."

"Eh?"

"when the boy wakes up, it would be best if he hears it as well."

"Then…"

"For now, be patient."

"…"

"There is no need to rush."

"Very well."

Back at the control room, Ophani and Cherubi are monitoring the events on Earth and saw through the monitors that Fuhito and Maizono are there at the spot where the van is parked, and there Ophani sent a coded message through the communicator, telling them, through the car radio, that Naegi and Kirigiri are fine and asks them to be patient, and after that, Cherubi asks her why bother telling them, and she reasoned that it will keep them from worrying, and Cherubi wondered Seraphi knows what he is doing, and she told him that she has complete trust in Seralhi, and urged him to do the same, but Cherubi said that while he do, he sometimes question some of Seraphi's methods on dealing with Naegi.

"Have faith in Seraphi, Cherubi."

"I do."

"He knows what is best."

"But sometimes I want to question his methods…"

"We must trust him. We know that he is doing this for the better…"

"But by choosing an ordinary Earth boy…?"

"Seraphi does not do something he felt would be a detriment…"

"…"

By then, Seraphi and Kirigiri came back, and there he asks Ophani how things are doing, which she says that everything is fine, and Cherubi was silent, and there Kirigiri couldn't help but feel uneasy as she felt something is off here and she asks Seraphi how Naegi is doing, in which Ophani said that Naegi is recuperating after removing the bullet, and she asks Seraphi a question, in which she asks why he and the two aliens give Naegi the red suit, and why Naegi of all people, and while Ophani felt a bit worried hearing the tone of the teen detective's voice, Seraphi smiled and he pressed a button and the monitor showed the events from six months ago, where Naegi is involved in stopping a hostage situation inside a bus, how he helped a crane out from a pool in his middle school days, and his down to earth attitude, which Seraphi said those traits are the reasons why he chose to give the red suit to Naegi, and Kirigiri was silent seeing that Naegi's good deeds were among the reasons why he was given the red suit, and she asks him if he considered the situation where Naegi might get overwhelmed by the suit's powers, but Seraphi told her that he has everything sorted out in case that situation arises.

"May I ask?"

"What is it, child?"

"What if…what if Naegi-kun ended up getting overwhelmed by the suit's power?"

"Hmm…?"

"What if he gets corrupted by…"

"We already have a contingency plan for that…and Makoto Naegi has proven himself…for the past several Earth months, your friend has been using the suit benevolently, and not once has he tried using it selfishly."

"…"

"Thus I have full trust in your friend."

By then, one of the medic robots came and talked to Seraphi using their own alien language, informing him that Naegi has awakened, and both Ophani and Cherubi were surprised to hear this while Seraphi gave the robot some instructions which the robot turn around and leaves the control room, and Seraphi told Kirigiri that Naegi has awakened, and he told her that in a few minutes he will tell her and Naegi their story and why they came to this solar system and chose Naegi to have the red suit for a reason, and Kirigiri braced herself as she has a feeling that this is going to be a long story to listen to, and about ten minutes later, the medic robot came in, and is being followed by Naegi, who appeared groggy and weak, but his presence of mind is still there and Kirigiri came to his side asking him how he is doing.

"Naegi-kun…!"

"Kirigir-san…"

"Are you okay?"

"Uh…sort of…just a bit painful…"

"Don't strain yourself…"

"Huh? Where are we?"

"Inside the UFO. We are at outer space."

"…"

Naegi told her that when he regained consciousness, he is a bit bewildered seeing that he is inside the ship and followed the robot, and there Naegi is surprised to see the three aliens and there the medic robot gave him the communicator, and after hearing what Kirigiri told him, Naegi puts it on and there he is able to communicate with the aliens, and Seraphi introduces himself and his fellow aliens, and by then he asks them where is he, and what is he doing here, and Kirigiri told him that they are inside the UFO, and at the same time Naegi peered through the window and saw the Earth, and both he and Kirigiri realized that they are now at outer space, causing him to panic and Kirigiri had to calm him down.

"EEEEHHH?!"

"Calm down, Naegi-kun…"

"But…but…!"

"It's okay…"

"But…how can we…?"

"Calm yourself…the aliens will send us back."

"Really…?"

"Yes."

After calming her friend down, Kirigiri then turned her attention towards Seraphi and told him to keep his word once Naegi is awakened, which is to explain themselves and why they gave the red suit to Naegi, in which Seraphi and Cherubi glanced at each other, and Seraphi nodded as he felt that now is the time to tell them the reason why Naegi was chosen, and there he slowly showed to the two teens the image of their war-torn planet and told them that he and his two fellow aliens are from another solar system and showed them the planet that resembled Earth, which was vast and beautiful, and Naegi was awed at seeing how beautiful the planet was, until the next scenes showed that the three aliens' planets slowly went into civil war, slowly causing the planet to become war-torn, filled with pollution, and became dystopian, and there the three aliens were told by their leader to take the red suit with hem and escape, and give it to someone who is pure-hearted and cannot be corrupted, and after traveling to countless planets, they came across Earth, and scanned the planet to find someone, and that is where the three aliens found Naegi, and after observing his exploits leading to being scouted to become a student at Hope's Peak Academy, the three agreed to give it to Naegi, and that's how the story goes, and Naegi himself couldn't believe what he is told and seen.

"You were chosen for a reason."

"…"

"We considered other Earthlings…but…you caught our attention."

"…"

"You benevolent and gentle nature were grounds for us to consider you to use the suit."

"…"

Kirigiri observed the scene before her, and little by little, she felt somewhat ashamed at relying on Naegi to help her solve several cases due to him having the red suit, and while there Naegi asks why the aliens chose him, and Seraphi said that Naegi has pure traits that others do not have - purity, down to earth, unselfish, incorruptible, and level-headed, and that made him decided to choose him, and Seraphi reasoned that he did not want Earth to end up becoming another wasteland, and believed that Naegi has what it takes to save his planets without letting success get to his head, and told him that power comes responsibility, and Naegi slowly came to realize that he was given the suit for a reason, and felt ashamed for being selfish, and slowly told Seraphi that he threw away the suit, which Kirigiri said that she believed that the Nazi may have taken it, and Cherubi was shocked and livid at what the two teens did after hearing Kirigiri explaining the argument she and Naegi had that led to the suit getting stolen and berated Naegi for his foolishness, but Ophani defended Naegi, causing the two aliens to bicker.

"Cherubi!"

"What?"

"Calm down!"

"How can I? you saw what happened! That Earth boy just…"

"It is understandable…"

"What can we do about it? How can that boy be able to get the suit back?"

"Leave it to Seraphi…"

"…"

Naegi sweat-dropped at the scene until Seraphi urged the two to calm down and said that this also shows that Naegi is not malevolent as throwing the suit away shows that every human has a certain tolerance on something, and told Naegi to bear with it saying that he has been watching him since six months ago, and he is sure that Naegi can recover from this, and that he can protect the planet even though he has to sacrifice certain things, and when Kirigiri said that she and Naegi may have to find the suit, Seraphi gave her a device so that they will be able to trace the red suit's whereabouts, and urged the two teens to get along and work out whatever arguments they have, all for the sake of protecting Earth, and both teens glanced at each other, recalling the argument they had which led to Naegi getting shot, and both apologized for their actions and for imposing too much at each other.

"Kirigiri-san…"

"?"

"Sorry…I was…"

"I'm sorry too…I guess I relied too much on you."

"I guess I shouldn't be so selfish…"

"Me too…"

"…"

"…"

Seeing that the two teens are starting to get along, Seraphi told the two to not let any argument get the best over their logical thinking and said that he wanted Earth to stay peaceful and not end up into a dystopian planet like what happened to his planet, and also reminded Naegi to keep his good deeds, as well as his existence as a hero a secret, which Naegi nodded, as he do not want to expose himself to anyone wearing the red suit, and seeing that all is well, Seraphi glanced at Cherubi, and Cherubi maneuvered the spacecraft as the ship is heading back to Earth.

Hope you like this chapter, as Naegi and Kirigiri finally made up and gained some understanding on why they were given the red suit, and why they were given such a responsibility, and now the two Class 78 members must work out a way to retrieve the red suit
