A/N: Let's get a few things out of the way before we can begin.
1. If you don't know by the summary, Part 6 does not exist in this universe, the only original character from Stone Ocean present in this story is Jolyne. So Dio never had a diary and whatnot.
2. I know that there are many returning characters from part 3, especially part 4, but this story isn't really about them. You'll see in future chapters that this story will really be about my own original characters and their own Stands, (I've made 20+ original Stands for this fanfiction).
3. This will be updated every Friday with no exceptions. Doesn't matter if it's a holiday or not. So expect a new chapter every Friday without any breaks until the story is finished. (As I said before, I've worked ahead and have already written the first 24 chapters). If I don't post on a Friday, then assume I'm dead. Or my internet's down. You choose.
4. Lastly, there is a bit of cursing in this fanfiction, but there will be no slurs or f words. Enough rambling, enjoy and feel free to comment, I will respond to all the comments I can, so feel free to ask questions.

Episode 16: Amplification Part 1
Greta walked through a brightly lit hallway, passing several uniquely designed doors. She calmly walked to a flight of stairs at the end of the hall and went down a floor. She kept walking until she stopped in front of a door and knocked.
"Is that you Greta?" A voice spoke from the other side, "Please come in."
Greta opened the door to find a room lit only by a burning fireplace. A long table and several cushiony seats were located in the room. In one of the corners, a man sat next to a desk. The desk had several monitors attached to it.
Greta took a seat on one of the cushiony chairs, "You called for me, Khan Miran?"
"I did," The man said, "I have gotten two calls today. The first was…" Khan checked his watch, "A little over three hours ago. Stevana and Scallion called. They said that they landed in Florida and are pursuing Jotaro."
"So?" Greta asked, "You called me down here just for that?"
"No," Khan said, "I called you here for something entirely different. I just thought you would like to know if Scallion and Stevana landed as well. But the thing I called you about was another call I got just under an hour ago. It was from Loni Dodson."
Greta leaned forward slightly on her seat and folded her hands over her lap, "She called? Does this mean she has come into contact with June Eaden and Ally Clayton?"
"No," Khan said, "Although that was her original task, she has found something more interesting. She has come into contact with the enemy."
"Polnareff's group?" Greta asked, "Do you need me to send another Stand user? I could send Bill Cliff or Danielle Miller. I'm sure they could—"
"That won't be needed," Khan said, cutting her off. "Besides, Cliff and Miller are out for the next week. We sent them to Italy to investigate a gang full of Stand users, remember?"
"This issue is more important than the gang," Greta said, "Polnareff's group will be here tomorrow if they're not stopped."
"You seem worried, Greta," Khan said, "Are you stressed?"
Greta looked down, "A little…" she muttered, "I don't really care for Stevana or Scallion. I've never really liked those two. But Kenna was like a daughter to me. The same thing for Ally and June. Even if those two are old enough to be my sisters, I see them as my daughters regardless. I'm just really scared that they're all dead. So I'm sorry if I'm a bit on edge. All of my hope is in Loni's mission."
"I know," Khan said, "I didn't know them as well as you did, but I understand. Then perhaps it would make you feel a little better if I told you that Loni managed to capture one of the enemies and escape."
"Really?" Greta asked, "Which one? And is she sure that the enemy won't escape? What if Dodson gets found?"
"Joanne Jones," Khan said, "Loni told me that she managed to capture Joanne Jones. Knowing Loni, she probably webbed the girl up, there's no chance she's escaping. As for if she gets found, I'm not sure. But I told Loni that she should watch over the Joestar girl until I arrive. This is why I called you here. I'm planning on heading out now, I should arrive at her location by tomorrow. All Loni has to do is make sure the Joestar girl doesn't escape for the next twelve hours. I need you to man my post while I'm gone. If you get a call from Loni, Scallion, or Stevana, you need to let me know. You're the only one I'm willing to trust with this task."
"I see," Greta said, "But promise me that if anything in the slightest goes wrong, you'll call me. I can't afford to lose you too. You and I have been here with Dio since the very beginning. Dio only trusts us with… well, you know."
"Of course," Khan said, "Only we know Dio's secret. And I'm prepared to die before even telling the enemy anything."
"Okay," Greta said, "I'll stay here, make sure to get back safely.
"I will," Khan said, "I promise."
5 Hours Away From Dio's Mansion
An entire day had passed since Loni Dodson's attacks, and some storm clouds were visible in the sky. It was just past 2 o'clock, and Polnareff's group was determined now more than ever to arrive at Dio's mansions.
"How much time do we have left?" Hol Horse complained, "I have to take a piss!"
"We still need to drive for about five more hours, Hol Horse," Tenmei said, "If you want, I could stop near a gas station."
"No," Polnareff said, resting on Hol Horse's lap as usual. "We can't afford to make any stops now. Especially when we're this close."
"Then what do you want me to do?" Hol Horse asked, "Piss myself?"
"Just go pee in a bottle inside Mr. President," Polnareff said.
"You want me to piss in a room inside you?!" Hol Horse yelled, "You're disgusting, Polnareff!"
Kenna and Joanne smiled from the backseats as they listened to Hol Horse's complaining.
"Hey Kenna," Joanne said, "I just wanted to thank you one last time for the save yesterday."
"Oh," Kenna said blushing, "No, it's fine. I should be thanking you!"
"Just take the compliment, dammit!" Joanne said with a smile, "I'm really glad I got to meet you and that you decided to join me."
Kenna blushed even harder, "Oh! Uh, yeah! Me too…" she let out an awkward laugh, "I'm uh… glad that I've met you, Joanne."
"You okay there?" Joanne asked, "Your face is bright red, is it too hot in here?"
"Oh, no!" Kenna said, looking down in embarrassment, "I'm fine, thank you."
"Alright," Joanne said, "But listen, I've been wanting to ask you something for a couple of days now, but it's always slipped my mind. I might as well ask you now before I forget."
Kenna's head perked up, "Really? What is it?"
"Remember when we were fighting Ally Clayton?" Joanne asked, "And she put us under her Vertigo's spell?"
"Yeah," Kenna said, "What about it?"
"Well," Joanne said, "later Tenmei told me that the illusions amplified our greatest fears. Mine were spiders which is why I saw so many of them, and Tenmei told me that his vision didn't affect him because he had already been put under them before and overcame them. Which got me thinking, what is your fear? What is it that manifested in your illusion?"
"Desert," Kenna said solemnly, "I was in a desert… alone…" She trailed off for a second, "My greatest fear is abandonment. So many bad things have happened to my parents and guardians that I was always scared I would be abandoned. That's what manifested, everyone around me had abandoned me and I was all alone…"
"Oh," Joanne said sadly as she grabbed onto Kenna's hand, "I'm sorry to hear that, Kenna, I really am. But I promise that I will never abandon you."
Kenna blushed deeply as she averted her gaze, "Thank you, Joanne," she said, "That means a lot to me."
The two didn't speak again as the car drove on for another thirty minutes. "I've got butterflies in my stomach," Tenmei said to break the silence, "How are you guys feeling?"
"I'm just itchin' to blow Dio's head off," Hol Horse said, "So pretty normal, I guess." He howled in laughter as Polnareff rolled his eyes.
"I still don't fully agree with this," The turtle said, "Dio and his subordinates killed some of my best friends." He looked up at Tenmei, "Including your uncle."
Tenmei gripped hard on the steering wheel, his hands turning white, "All my life I've been wanting to avenge Noriaki," he said, "His parents thought that he had run away from home, but eventually his body was given to them by the Speedwagon Foundation. They told him that he had been killed by a murderer. Not that far from the truth, don't you think?"
"Hey," Joanne said, peering out the window, "What's that?"
Everyone looked towards what Joanne was pointing at, a figure in the distance.
"Probably some hobo wandering around," Hol Horse said, "I know one when I see one."
"No," Kenna said as she squinted at the man, "He works for Dio!"
Tenmei nearly swerved the car upon hearing this, "Kenna are you sure? Do you know if he has an ability?"
"Khan Miran," Kenna said as she looked at Joanne, "The one that you told me Loni Dodson called when she captured you."
"Khan Miran?" Joanne asked, "Didn't June Eaden and Ally Clayton talk about him?"
"Yes, I remember," Polnareff said, "They said that his Stand's name is Amplifier and it can do something with sound pitches, but they didn't know the specifics."
"He's the bridge between the missions of Stand users and Dio," Kenna said, "Wherever Dio's subordinates are, they call him regularly to keep him updated. He then presumably calls Dio and tells him any important information. I don't think he actually meets up with Dio like Greta does, but he does communicate with him a lot. But I doubt we'll get any information out of him, he'd rather die."
"Damn," Hol Horse said, "Just when I thought we had a lucky break. So what do we do then? Do we ignore him?"
"He was going to pick me up," Joanne said, "That's what Loni called for. I don't know how he made it all the way to that trailer and back so fast, but he did it. He realized that we escaped and has somehow tracked us down."
"We shouldn't ignore him," Tenmei said as he stopped the car, "It's impossible for a human on foot to have traveled all the way to Loni and back here in less than a day. It's just impossible. Not even our car can go that fast. I'm not sure how sound pitches affect his speed, but we have to assume that he can somehow use them to go fast. I'm sure he'll have no problem getting ahead of us."
"So we fight him then?" Joanne asked.
Emperor appeared in Hol Horse's hand, "Don't bother," he said, "I'll pump this guy's face full of bullets before you can say 'Pumped up Kicks'."
"Wait, Hol Horse!" Polnareff yelled.
Hol Horse shot regardless, sending six bullets breaking through the windshield. Right before the bullets reached Khan Miran in the distance, he disappeared, almost instantly.
"What the hell?" Hol Horse yelled, "Where did he go?"
With a single hit, the entire windshield crashed. Sending glass flying everywhere. There, on top of the hood, was Khan, crouching as he examined everyone in the car.
"Ruby Tuesday!" Without hesitation, Tenmei bit his bottom lip and turned his blood into a small needle that he swung at Khan's eye. Right before Tenmei could land his attack, Abstract appeared in the empty seat between Kenna and Joanne, "Who the hell is this shithead?"
Khan instantly vanished just before Tenmei swung the blood needle.
"Where'd he go?" Tenmei asked, "What the hell happened."
"Fletcher," Khan's voice appeared along with his entire body, right behind the backseats of the car, "Are they holding here against your will, Fletcher? Keeping you as a hostage?"
"Khan," Kenna said in disbelief, "How did you—"
"Answer the question, Fletcher," Khan said, "You can answer truthfully, I won't let them hurt you."
"Kono!" Abstract swung her fist towards Khan only for him to disappear again and reappear right next to her.
"This car is rather cramped, isn't it?" Khan said, "I'd prefer if we continued this outside." Khan elbowed a window and instantly appeared outside of the car as soon as the glass hit the ground.
"What is he…?" Polnareff said in disbelief, "Can he stop time as well? No, that can't be it, his Stand is supposed to have something to do with sound pitches, isn't it? They said it was called, 'Amplifier'."
"Sound pitches?" Khan asked, "Now who could have told you that? I don't know how much you've interrogated Fletcher here, but I know for a fact that she doesn't know my Stand ability. Was it Loni Dodson? Did she tell you? No, you guys beat her senseless, I'm not sure it was her. What about June Eaden and Ally Clayton? Did they rat me out? That's more likely."
"We need to get out of this car now," Tenmei said, "He can't dodge if we all attack at once, do you guys understand?" Everyone nodded and quickly got out of the car.
"What's this?" Khan said, "Fletcher, are you willingly following his command? Does this mean that you have betrayed us?"
"Khan," Kenna said, "I don't know you very well, but I'm sure you know me well enough. Dio is pure evil, I'm sure you can understand. With your ability, whatever it is, you can help us defeat Dio. I have my reasons for why I defected, and I'm sure you'll have your reasons too."
Khan put a finger in the air, "Do you smell that?" he asked, "It's about to rain." He looked intently at everyone, "Where is Jolyne Kujo? Is she not with you? Perhaps she went to her father in Florida. Is that a fair assumption?"
"Why should you care?" Hol Horse yelled, "You're about to die anyway!" As soon as Hol Horse cocked his gun, Khan was instantly behind him.
"Convince me," he said.
"What?" Hol Horse yelled, "What the hell are you talking about?!"
"Convince me," Khan repeated, "Convince me not to kill you two. You and that turtle, Polnareff. Dio does not require you guys to be alive. You have until the rain falls to convince me. I am not here to attack you, not yet at least. I just want some answers, and I want to talk a bit. That is until it begins to rain. If you can't convince me by then, then you two will die."
"Tell us your Stand ability," Polnareff said, "You know all of ours, don't you? You're giving us time to convince you not to kill us, right? That's a pretty fair thing for you to do. Wouldn't it be fair if you told us your Stand ability?"
"There's a fine line between fairness and foolishness," Khan said, "There are at least four of you that can fight. A four on one is not fair. If I told you my Stand ability, then I would surely lose. And judging by his itchy finger," Khan motioned towards Hol Horse, "I don't think you're planning on letting me live. What I will do is confirm what you already know. It does not matter to me who informed you of my Stand ability anymore. I can confirm that I have called it, 'Amplifier', and that it does have something to do with sound and pitches. But not necessarily 'sound pitches' together. That is all I'll tell you, the rest you have to figure out for yourselves."
"Why exactly do you work for Dio?" Joanne asked, "What has he done to make you admire him so much?"
"One of his associates saved my life once," Khan said, "I am in his debt. That is all."
"I don't believe that, Khan," Kenna said, "You have a flesh bud somewhere in your forehead, don't you?"
"Dio trusts me more than he ever trusted you, Fletcher," Khan said, parting his hair to reveal that there wasn't a flesh bud on his forehead, "I will not let his trust go to waste." Thunder could be heard in the distance, "I suggest you two hurry," Khan said, motioning towards Hol Horse and Polnareff, "You don't have much time left."
Joanne noticed that Tenmei hadn't said a word. He was leaning on the car, his fingers folded in front of his face, deep in thought.
"Tenmei?" Joanne asked, "Is something wrong?"
"Sound…" Tenmei muttered, "Sound… Sound… Sound…" His head perked up, "I've got it." he said as he stepped a tad bit closer to Khan, but still far enough away to keep him out of his Ruby Tuesday's range, "Sound, right?" he said one more time, looking at Khan. The latter nodded. "You can travel through sound, isn't that correct?"
Khan's facial expressions didn't change at all. Either Tenmei was completely wrong, or Khan had a good poker face. "You can travel through sound," Tenmei repeated. That's how you got to Loni Dodson's trailer and back here, is it not? You traveled through sound! That's how you just suddenly disappeared and reappeared when Hol Horse shot his Emperor. The bullets broke through the windshield, and you somehow magically teleported right to that same windshield. Then when I was planning on stabbing you with my blood, you teleported to the backseat of the car as soon as Joanne's Stand started speaking. You broke a window from inside the car and when the glass shards fell to the outside, you instantly teleported there. You teleported behind Hol Horse when his gun cocked. That's why you're waiting for it to rain, you'll be invincible then. You'll be able to teleport wherever the rain falls."
Khan smiled proudly as if he were the father of a son who had just won a baseball game. He clapped slowly, "I applaud you," he said, "I have heard that it was your uncle who managed to piece together Dio's Stand ability was it not? I am not surprised that someone with his blood managed to piece together mine. Someone like you would make a great addition to Dio's team. We've been short a few members ever since Jon L. and Stue Rod died. That reminds me, whatever happened to June Eaden and Ally Clayton? Did you kill them as well?"
"No!" Joanne said, "We didn't kill anyone! We removed June and Ally's flesh buds in exchange for information, and now they've gone far away, you'll never see them again. But know that they're safe. And as you already know, we didn't kill Loni Dodson either. But don't think you're hot shit, because I'll have no problem having you be my first kill."
"So bold and full of energy!" Khan said, almost excitedly, "The burning passion of the Joestar bloodline definitely flows within you, Joanne. Now I can see how you managed to defeat Jon L. and Stue Rod back in Morioh. Don't let such young talent go to waste. You have all convinced me. If you all willingly agree to become my prisoners and allow me to take you to Dio without any problems whatsoever, I will allow all five of you to live. This is the only deal I'm willing to make."
Some more thunder could be heard in the distance, "I suggest you hurry up and give me your answer," Khan said, "You only have a couple of minutes."
"A couple of minutes is all we need," Polnareff said, "Now, Hol Horse!" Without hesitation, the grizzled old man threw the turtle directly at Khan. Right before Khan could teleport to another spot through sound, he felt himself getting sucked into something, and suddenly found himself in a small room.
Polnareff, in his human form, appeared in front of Khan, Silver Chariot behind him. "Is this your Stand?" Khan said, "I already know about Silver Chariot, but this room… Do you have two abilities?!"
"This is my ability," Polnareff said, "It's called Mr. President. It allows me to create a room inside of this key and conjure up what I want inside of it. Nothing created inside this room can leave, but as long as you're in here. You can be affected by them."
Khan ducked under one of Silver Chariot's sword swings, just barely getting grazed in the shoulder. He grabbed a nearby bowl on top of a table.
"You can't get away," Polnareff said, "It doesn't matter where you throw that bowl. You're planning on traveling through the sound of it breaking, aren't you? Now that Kakyoin has exposed your ability, I know how to counteract it."
"You underestimate me, Polnareff," Khan said, "As someone who's fought Dio before and managed to survive, you should know that that was a mistake."
Something appeared next to Khan. It was very metallic, with wires running down its body. It didn't have any arms and had an exoskeleton look to it. Its legs looked skinny, but they had a firm stance implying that there was more power to them. Its head was shaped like a megaphone, with no facial features whatsoever.
"This is your Stand?!" Polnareff yelled, "You haven't revealed it up until now, this means you're in a corner! I'll defeat you before it rains!"
A calm look was on Khan's face as he smashed the bowl on the ground. Oddly enough, it made no noise. "Amplifier," Khan said in a calm, soothing voice. The sound of something smashing could be heard from behind Polnareff. Khan along with his Stand disappeared. Polnareff quickly turned around to see Khan and Amplifier standing right next to him.
"What?!" Polnareff yelled. Khan ran his hand through Polnareff, "As expected, you're not actually tangible. The real you is the turtle. But your Silver Chariot can still damage me, that is concerning. But as long as I don't get sucked into this room again, I should be fine."
Before Polnareff could attack, Khan stomped his foot, but it made no sound. Outside of Mr. President, a stomping noise could be heard a few meters away, and Khan suddenly appeared.
"What?!" Hol Horse yelled, "How did he get here?! Where did that noise come from?!"
"He can redirect sound!" Polnareff yelled, "He can choose where the sound goes and transport there. That's his Stand's, Amplifier's, ability! It looks like he can only redirect sound for a few meters. But his transportation ability, It seems that he could transport to anything he could hear. This ability! It's nearly invincible!"
"I'm glad you understand your situation, Polnareff," Khan said, "But I'm afraid you're out of time." Thunder exploded through the air and rain began to fall heavily.
"Shit!" Polnareff yelled, "This is the worst thing that could have happened! He's invincible now!"
Khan blinked in and out of visibility as he teleported in a circle around the five, "This is my ability! This is Amplifier!"
...
A/N: And that's chapter 16! With only a few hours away from Dio's mansion, Khan Miran is the last hurdle that Joanne's group has to jump over in order to reach their destination. I know a lot of you have been curious about how Dio is alive and whatnot, and I promise I have an answer, just a few more chapters and you'll get those answers. Anyways, this is part one of two of the Amplification arc, featuring possibly my favorite minor antagonist so far. I'm really proud of his Stand ability as well. Anyways, see you all next week for Episode 17: Amplification Part 2.
