A/N: Let's get a few things out of the way before we can begin.
1. If you don't know by the summary, Part 6 does not exist in this universe, the only original character from Stone Ocean present in this story is Jolyne. So Dio never had a diary and whatnot.
2. I know that there are many returning characters from part 3, especially part 4, but this story isn't really about them. You'll see in future chapters that this story will really be about my own original characters and their own Stands, (I've made 20+ original Stands for this fanfiction).
3. This will be updated every Friday with no exceptions. Doesn't matter if it's a holiday or not. So expect a new chapter every Friday without any breaks until the story is finished. (As I said before, I've worked ahead and have already written the first 24 chapters). If I don't post on a Friday, then assume I'm dead. Or my internet's down. You choose.
4. Lastly, there is a bit of cursing in this fanfiction, but there will be no slurs or f words. Enough rambling, enjoy and feel free to comment, I will respond to all the comments I can, so feel free to ask questions.

Episode 17: Amplification Part 2
Khan Miran, age 32 was an audio engineer. Ever since he was a little boy, he was fascinated with sounds and different music notes and beats. He was in a band in middle and high school and continued to pursue his love for music and sound as an adult when he became an audio engineer. His love for music and intense willpower gave birth to his Stand ability. He lived a fairly happy life until one day, tragedy struck. Khan was in his car, driving home when an earthquake struck, sending his car tumbling down a hill. Khan, trapped in his car, bleeding out of his head, should've died that day. Even if someone had found him and managed to get him out of his car, there was no possible way to take him to the hospital in time. The nearby streets had been ravaged by this earthquake. There was no possible way. Which is why his savior, a woman who looked to be ten years younger than him, was most bizarre. Khan, half unconscious from the amount of blood leaking from his head, hadn't even noticed when this woman managed to drag him out of his destroyed car. The last thing that Khan saw before losing consciousness was an airship in the distance.
...
Khan blinked in and out of visibility as he teleported in a circle around the five, "This is my ability! This is Amplifier!"
Khan transported in front of Hol Horse before disappearing seemingly instantly. In this blink of an eye, Khan had stuck a piece of glass in his stomach. Hol Horse spat out blood and fell off his wheelchair.
"Hol Horse!" Kenna yelled, "Don't worry, I'll heal you!" In an instant, Kenna was swept off her feet and fell to the wet ground, "He's here!" she yelled, "He's not going to let me get to him, he's going to let Hol Horse die!"
"No," Tenmei said, "We're going to make it to Hol Horse! Kenna, walk beside me!" Tenmei helped her up, and the two slowly walked towards the bleeding Hol Horse.
"Don't worry," Joanne said, a turtle in her arms, "I've got Polnareff!"
Tenmei quickly looked around him as he slowly walked with Kenna. Khan was appearing and disappearing instantly, always surrounding them, always shrinking the perimeter between himself and them.
"I won't let you save him," His voice traveled with him, coming from multiple different directions nearly simultaneously. Tenmei knew that Khan would come back to prevent him and Kenna from reaching Hol Horse, he was counting on it. The second Tenmei saw Khan in front of him and Kenna, he knew what he had to do. Khan screamed in pain before transporting away.
"What?" Kenna asked, "What happened?"
"Polnareff nicked his shoulder earlier," Tenmei said, "I impaled his arm with his own blood. Although I'm not sure how well I got him, he transported away as soon as it happened."
As the two took a few steps closer, Hol Horse's blood began to flow towards Tenmei, "Khan Miran won't be able to touch us anymore, the second he gets close to us, I'll impale him with a blood spike. Go heal Hol Horse now, Kenna, he won't attack."
Kenna rushed towards Hol Horse as Redbone put him inside its chest. "I'm going to need a few seconds to fully heal his wound, and I won't be able to recreate all the blood he's lost so he'll be out of commission for this battle."
"It's fine," Tenmei said, "We can give him blood later."
Meanwhile, Joanne was still holding onto Polnareff, "He can redirect sound," Polnareff muttered, "He can redirect sound and travel through it, how do we beat an enemy with such an ability?"
Joanne looked around frantically, making sure Khan wasn't going to attack, he was still transporting around in the distance, but he had been wounded. Joanne didn't know how severely. She looked back at Polnareff, "Listen here," she said sternly, "Don't you dare tell me that you're about to give up! You've told us stories about your times with the Stardust Crusaders. You've told us the story about how you've saved my mom. You've told us all about that time when you almost got eaten by your fake undead sister or the time when you faced a vampire who could create a void and erase anything it touched. This is nothing compared to that! We need to think of a way to counter this, and fast!"
"Back then I had a kick-ass Stand!" Polnareff yelled, "Now I'm just an old man whose limbs were cut off by an Italian Mafia Boss and got his soul switched with a turtle! I've lived eight goddamn years in this body! I know what's possible for me to do! I can't do it, Joanne! But that doesn't mean I'm giving up! The second you give up, the second you surrender in your heart, you might as well get ready to die. The last time I gave up, my friend Iggy gave his life to give me a second chance. You think I'm going to waste Iggy's sacrifice by dying here?! That's not happening! We're going to beat this guy, make it to Dio's mansion, and kill him!"
Joanne smiled, "Then let's get this son of a bitch! Abstract!"
"Yo Jo!" The Stand appeared, "Did you kill that bozo yet?"
"Not yet," Joanne said, "But I'm going to need your help."
Meanwhile, Kenna had healed Hol Horse, and Tenmei had put him safely in the car. "What do we do now?" Kenna asked.
"We can't attack him," Tenmei said, "He has to attack us first. But Hol Horse has left us a lot of blood. Khan won't be able to get within five meters of me. So if you and Joanne stay close enough, we can either wait this rain out and get him. Or he can try to attack us and get injured even more. It doesn't look like it'll rain that much, maybe for another half hour. Maybe a bit more."
"I'm here," Joanne said, still carrying Polnareff as she got close to Kenna and Tenmei, "I heard everything. Polnareff is thinking of a plan right now. Is there anything I can do in the meantime?"
"Wait," Kenna said, "Where did he go?" Everyone looked around, but Khan was gone. He was nowhere in sight.
...
Greta sat down on Khan's desk, fidgeting with the ring on her left ring finger, last she had heard from Khan was when he had called to report that Loni Dodson was alive, but out of commission. She would not be able to keep fighting in her condition. But there was still no word from June, Ally, or Kenna. This is what worried Greta. As she hung up the phone after talking to two people called Bill Cliff and Danielle Miller, she could feel a pit of dread in her stomach. She also hadn't heard from Scallion and Stevana, and now that over twenty-four hours had passed since they last reported, she could confirm them as "Out of Commission" as well. She still didn't know their fates, nor did she care. As long as Jotaro wasn't coming today or any time soon, they had somewhat completed their mission. She had also taken the time to personally visit Dio and tell him the information Khan had gathered.
"If Khan fails," Dio said, "Let them come."
"He could die," Greta said, "I'm not going to let that happen."
"Then make sure he doesn't die. And check on that kid, make sure his Stand has developed."
After having done all that, Greta slumped on the desk. She, Dio, and this kid were the only ones in the mansion. Everyone had either already been sent out to go after Joanne's group and failed, or were elsewhere doing other tasks. The mansion hadn't been this empty in a long time. But Danielle Miller and Bill Cliff said that they would be back within a few days, so there was that to look forward to. And who knows when The Wall would be back, they were always so methodical and took forever, but they made sure that the mission was done.
The silence was broken by a ringing phone. Greta quickly picked it up, "Khan is that you?"
"Yes it's me," Khan said on the other end, "Sorry for keeping you waiting, but I have good news and bad news."
"Really?" Greta said, "It's been boring back here in the mansion, I can't do anything with Dianne because the kid's still here. Hit me with the good news."
"Kenna's alive and well," Khan said, "Along with June and Ally. They're all alive and uninjured."
Greta jumped out of her seat, "Really?!" She yelled in excitement, "That is good news! Wait…" She sat back down, "What's the bad news?"
Khan remained silent for a few seconds, "They betrayed us, Greta."
Greta let out a deep gasp, she wasn't sure she had heard Khan clearly, "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
"They betrayed us," Khan repeated, "June and Ally got their flesh buds removed in exchange for information. The enemy already had a vague idea about my Stand. I'm not sure what else they told them, but I have reason to believe that information regarding The Wall was released."
"Wait," Greta said, "Where are you now? Why are you calling now? Why couldn't you have told me when you came back?"
"Greta," Khan said, "I encountered the enemy. Thanks to the leaked information, they were able to piece together my Amplifier's ability. Even though it's raining right now, they have me in a tight spot. It's no wonder they were able to defeat everybody up until now."
"I can come pick you up," Greta said, "I can help you fight them."
"I would appreciate that, Greta," Khan said, "They got my shoulder and arm pretty damn good. I stabbed Hol Horse but they healed him."
"Healed him?" Greta asked, "But I thought the members of their group were Joanne Jones, Jolyne Kujo, Tenmei Kakyoin, Hol Horse, and Jean Pierre Polnareff. They don't have any abilities that can heal. And didn't you say that Kenna betrayed us too? What—" Realization suddenly hit Greta, "Kenna can heal people… Her Stand, Redbone, can revert an object into another of equal value. We've already tested out that as long as not a lot of skin is missing, she can heal wounds. Does that mean… No! Khan, please don't tell me… Khan! Please no!"
Khan remained silent, he didn't have to confirm Greta's claim, and so he stood there as he heard her cries of despair from the other line, "June and Ally chose to go their separate ways, they knew better than to join up with Joanne's group. They knew that if they ran away, they might be safe. But you and I both know what's going to happen when Joanne's group arrives at the mansion."
"They'll all die," Greta said, as she tried to compose herself, "They don't even stand a chance! They're all going to die! Kenna's going to die… Why did she join them…? No, they must be keeping her with them against her will, there's no way she'd…"
"She's doing this of her own volition, Greta," Khan said, "I need you now. It's just like that time we first met. I'm in danger and my life's at risk. They're going to kill me. I need you to get over here. They're about five hours away by car. With your Stand going at its top speed, you can maybe make it in less than an hour. I need you to get here before it stops raining. I'll try to stall for as long as possible, to prevent them from going any further. But I need you to get here as soon as possible."
"I understand," Greta said, "I'm on my way to Van Fleet right now, sit tight until I show up. Give me your location."
...
"We've been standing here for twenty minutes," Joanne said, "Do you think it's safe to go? Did he give up?"
"No," Kenna said, "Khan wouldn't just run away like that. He's thinking of something… Or he's getting help!"
"Then what do we do?" Polnareff asked.
"We wait here," Tenmei said, "It looks like the rain will go away in about half an hour. He knows that we're stuck here. If what Kenna says is true, then he's probably keeping an eye on us from somewhere. And even if he called for reinforcements, there's no way they can arrive here so fast. We have the upper hand in this scenario. The best we can do is wait. I checked on Hol Horse, and he'll be fine. He'll wake up in a couple hours. I guess we should be happy that we don't have to hear him while we wait here."
Khan was standing far away, out of sight. He knew they hadn't moved from their stance, every now and then, he'd transport himself just a bit closer so he could see them in the distance. In the meantime, he had tended to his arm wound. His shoulder wasn't hurt badly from Silver Chariot, but Tenmei's blood attack had punctured a deep hole in his arm. But he knew he would be fine as long as he kept his distance from the enemy while maintaining an eye on them. And so, he waited. Biding his time for another thirty minutes, momentarily checking on the enemy, making sure that they wouldn't escape. And as the rainfall lessened and lessened, he knew that his advantage was nearly gone. So he couldn't help but smile upon seeing a giant airship flying through the sky.
Kenna had also noticed the airship, "We need to get out of here, now!" She yelled as she ran towards the car."
"Kenna?" Tenmei asked, "What's going on, what is that?"
"Van Fleet," Kenna said, a look of horror on her face, "It's Greta's Stand."
"Greta?" Joanne asked, "The one we're not supposed to hurt? That's her Stand?! A big freaking zeppelin? You've gotta be shitting me!"
"It's an airship, not a zeppelin," Kenna said, "It could probably fly faster than this car, we need to get out of here right now!"
"Does this mean that Khan did indeed call for reinforcements?" Polnareff asked, "What kind of Stand is this? It's huge. I've only seen one like it, back in my days with the Crusaders. It was a giant freighter. But this Stand you said was called Van Fleet, what are its abilities? Is there no way we can counteract it without hurting the user?"
"I think it's called a Bound Stand," Kenna said, "It's bound to an airship. It can fly by itself or with a trained pilot. Any damage done to it won't affect the user, and it can go as far away from the user as possible. So in theory, you could just steal it one day and Greta won't even realize."
"So what's the danger behind it, then?" Polnareff asked, "Even if it's faster than our car, what can it really do?"
Greta stopped her Van Fleet and dropped a long rope ladder, raising it up as Khan began to climb up. Soon, he made it to the top with her. "I saw her," Greta said, nearly crying, "I saw Kenna. She was standing with them."
...
"Greta," Khan said, "I know what you must be going through, and I understand. But now is not the time. I almost died earlier." Khan showed Greta his arm, "As much as I hate to say it, this is a kill or be killed situation. They are not going to hesitate to kill us both. You know what we have to do right? In this extreme instance, we have to eliminate them all. It's the only thing we can do."
"I understand," Greta said solemnly, "But you have to do it, I can't bring myself to do it."
"Just lay down," Khan said, "We'll go looking for June and Ally after this is all over, maybe we can at least get them back."
"Yeah," Greta said, "Hiding her face as she walked to a chair, "Let's do that."
"Okay," Khan said, "Position us right on top of them. They won't feel a thing, their deaths will be instant. I promise you Kenna won't suffer."
Greta could only nod slowly, trying to hide her tears. She knew what was about to happen and wanted it done and over with.
...
"Get in the car, goddammit!" Kenna yelled. She looked up and saw that the airship was right on top of them. Joanne rushed inside as well, holding Polnareff, "I'm not so sure what Kenna's so afraid of, but I'm sure this Van Fleet does something that we don't want to stick around for!"
"It drops bombs!" Kenna yelled, "They're going to bomb us! Drive the car, Tenmei!"
Tenmei rushed into the driver's seat and floored the car. Joanne and Kenna looked behind to see a bottom compartment of Van Fleet opening up. Five small round objects fell and landed behind the speeding vehicle. They blew up in explosions with a radius of about three meters each.
"What the hell?!" Joanne yelled, "Are they trying to blow us up?!"
"This airship looks like it can fly faster than this car," Tenmei said, "It's going to catch up to us soon, we need to do something now."
"This is reckless," Polnareff muttered, "They're planning on killing all of us. Why such a sudden change in plans?"
"She's not even hesitating…" Kenna said in disbelief, "Greta isn't even hesitating! She's planning on killing me without hesitation! This is called Heat Above! Heat Above is one of Van Fleet's abilities! For ten seconds, the airship will drop bombs, then there's another ten-second limit before more can fall!"
"Those bombs are catching up to us!" Joanne yelled, "I have an idea, but it's pretty reckless!"
"Do we have any choice?" Tenmei asked, driving the car at full speed.
"Abstract!" Joanne called, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"If this blows my arm off," the Stand said as she appeared, "I blame you!" Abstract punched a hole through the back window of the car and stuck her hand out.
"Please don't tell me you're going to do what I think you're going to do," Kenna said worriedly.
Tenmei saw what was about to happen and sighed as he slowed down the car slightly while shaking his head, "We're all dead."
The car slowed down slightly, and Abstract saw her target, one of the bombs was falling right on top of her. This was the last bomb of the ten seconds, once it hit the ground, they'd have only ten seconds to act. If she missed, they would all die. Right as the bomb fell down, she tapped it with a finger from her left hand. The bomb turned to liquid and spread all over the ground.
Joanne turned to Kenna, a worried expression on her face, "You know what we have to do next, right?"
Kenna nodded her head slowly, tears forming in her eyes, "She didn't even hesitate to try and kill me… Greta never even cared for me, this is what I have to do, right?"
"I don't like this either," Joanne said, "I know how much she meant to you, but if we don't do this, we'll all die."
"I know," Kenna said, "Greta made her choice, and now I'm making mine. Are you ready?" Kenna quickly jumped out before using Redbone and putting the liquid bomb inside its chest.
"Kinetic energy, right?" Joanne asked.
Kenna nodded, "Abstract will punch Redbone, and it'll turn the punches into kinetic energy that will send the liquid right back at Van Fleet. I'll also transfer Abstract's ability in her right hand to turn the bomb back to normal so it explodes."
"Alright!" Abstract said, winding up her arm, "It's punching time! Kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono kono!"
Kenna took one last look at the airship, she imagined her mother figure was probably sitting in there, smiling to herself as she waited for the ten seconds to end. Kenna couldn't bear this thought anymore and released the kinetic energy. The bomb flew out of Redbone's chest, materializing back into its original form as it hit the side of Van Fleet and blew up, spreading fire to it as it began to fall from the sky and crash onto the ground. Kenna stared at the destroyed airship, nobody could have survived that, she was certain. Without saying a word, she and Joanne returned to the car. Tenmei, knowing how much this must've devastated Kenna, decided to say nothing, and continue driving.
...
Khan looked in fear as the bomb hit the side of the airship, swaying it to the left, and causing him to fall over, "We've been hit! Greta!"
Greta came running towards Khan, "I can feel it, we're going down!"
Khan sighed, "We need to get back to the mansion… At least one of us has to."
"I understand," Greta said, "Go, I'll find another way to get out of here."
"No," Khan said, "You don't understand. Dianne trusts you more than she trusts me, it needs to be you who gets out of here."
"What?" Greta asked, "No, I'm not doing this!"
"I'm not giving you a choice."
Amplifier appeared and stood right next to Greta, "Khan… what are you…?"
"Amplifier can transport things through sound. The only catch is that it can only do it one at a time. It's still drizzling outside, I can transport you to the farthest raindrop I can hear, that way you won't be spotted."
"Khan!" Greta yelled, "You're not doing this! I refuse to let you sacrifice yourself like this!"
"How long will it take for Van Fleet to be operational again?" Khan asked, ignoring Greta's comment.
"Not too long," Greta said, "A couple hours, maybe more."
"Then it's going to be close. You need to make it to the mansion, I believe in you, Greta. And I'm sorry we couldn't save Fletcher, I wanted to be hopeful just like you, but now her fate is sealed. If she makes it back to the mansion, she will die. So will all the others. It's now in your hands to make this happen."
With one last look at her, Khan used Amplifier to transport her away. Greta suddenly appeared on the ground, the soft raindrops landing on her skin. Amplifier standing idly beside her. She looked in the distance as Van Fleet, now covered in flames, crashed into the ground. Amplifier burst into flames as it disappeared in front of her.
"Khan!" Greta cried out his name, but he wouldn't respond. Greta was left in the rain, crying to herself as she saw her Stand, covered in flames, on the ground, and a car in the distance driving away, heading closer and closer to Dio's mansion.
4 Hours Away From Dio's Mansion
...
A/N: And that's chapter 17! First thing I want to mention is Greta's ability. As stated in episode 5, Greta and her Stand, Van Fleet, are named after my favorite modern rock band, Greta Van Fleet. Van Fleet's ability, Heat Above, is the opening song to Greta Van Fleet's best album, The Battle at Garden's Gate. Anyways, with only four hours left, Joanne and her group are so close to Dio's mansion. Soon they will find out how this century-old vampire is still alive. But don't mistake this for the finale, don't forget about all the pieces still in play. Josuke and the others are still stone, Jotaro, Jolyne, and Portobello, are now all hospitalized, The Wall is still active, Greta mentioned a Bill Cliff, Dianne Miller, and a Dianne, lastly, Dio mentioned that there was a kid in this mansion. With so many pieces still in play, how will the battle in Dio's mansion unfold? Find out next week in Episode 18: Sacred Heart!
