Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc continues, in which the space shuttle is slated to make a crash landing, and Naegi would soon be made aware of the possible situation, and the possible risks involved once the three aliens contacted him…
Well then, read on and enjoy!
At NASA, the NASA officials are seen panicking a bit as the shuttle at outer space appeared to be heading back to Earth, and that no one inside the shuttle is answering, and the officials are determining what the repercussions are if this situation keeps up. For the past several minutes the NASA officials continued their attempts to contact the astronauts but up until now there has been no answer at this time, and the officials are worried about this.
The head of NASA arrived and asked the officials if they have established contact with the astronaut, which the officials said there has been no answer from the astronauts, and that the shuttle's been acting up for the past several hours or so, and one of the officials feared that something may have happened to the astronauts, stating that the astronauts would have contacted NASA if there is something happening at the shuttle.
"Were you able to contact the astronauts?"
"No, sir."
"There's been no answer."
"We've been trying to contact them up until now."
"Keep trying."
"We're doing so, sir."
"I have a feeling that…"
"Huh?"
The NASA head then asked how long would the space shuttle remain floating, in which one of the technical workers became alarmed as he made some research and have been monitoring the shuttle's movement, and told everyone that the shuttle is descending towards Earth, and that it is expected to fall down within the continent of Asia.
The NASA officials scrambled and asked if he is sure, and the lead technical worker nodded, saying that in less than two hours the shuttle will crash down on Earth, and predicted that based on its descending trajectory, the shuttle will land forcefully somewhere in Japan, and after some serious analysis, it is forecasted to land on Tokyo.
The NASA officials became alarmed as Tokyo is full of people and buildings, and feared that if the shuttle landed there it would cause a lot of damage and casualties if that were to happen, and they all began to scramble in order to alert the Japanese Diet about the impending forced landing of the space shuttle.
"Blast! Quick! Contact the Japanese Embasy! Tell them the situation!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Right away!"
"We're on it!"
"You! Try to contact the shuttle and see if there's a way to remotely steer the shuttle!"
"Yes sir!"
"Right away!"
Believe It Or Not by Joey Scarbury
(Opening Song from The Greatest American Hero)
Look at what's happened to me,
I can't believe it myself;
Suddenly I'm up on top of the world,
Should've been somebody else.
Believe it or not,
I'm walkin' on air,
I never thought I could feel so free;
Flyin' away on a wing and a pray'r,
Who could it be?
Believe it or not, it's just me.
Just like the light of new day,
It hit me from out of the blue;
Breakin' me out of the spell I was in,
Makin' all of my wishes come true.
Believe it or not,
I'm walkin' on air,
I never thought I could feel so free;
Flyin' away on a wing and a pray'r,
Who could it be?
Believe it or not, it's just me.
Ch. 114: Shatoru kiki taiō
Still at outer space, the scene shows that the UFO that houses the three aliens have overheard what the NASA officials are saying, and Ophani became concerned at what would happen if the shuttle crash lands there and cause serious harm towards the Earthlings, though Cherubi is just silent as he wondered what is causing the shuttle to act like that.
Seraphi then instructs Cherubi to activate the radio and said they will contact Naegi and inform him of the situation, which Cerubi, in a surprisingly concerned tone, asked if he is thinking what he is planning to do, and the leader of the three aliens nodded, and there Cherubi asked if Naegi can do that, let alone survive the situation.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, Cherubi."
"But…"
"He is the only one who can avert an impending disaster."
"But…can that boy…?"
"I have faith in him."
"But we're talking about…"
"I know."
As Ophani asked what is wrong, Cherubi said that Seraphi plans to have Naegi use the red suit and fly into outer space and attempt to steer the shuttle away from Tokyo, and said that while the red suit gives Naegi protection, it is unknown at this time if it would protect him from the effects of surviving at outer space, and Ophani realized what Cherubi means.
She then asked Ophani if this is true, and Seraphi slowly nodded, and she asks why and how will Naegi survive if the red suit has not been tested in being used outside Earth's atmosphere, and there Seraphi said he will shoulder the responsibility if anything bad happens to Naegi.
"Seraphi!"
"…"
"That's risky!"
"I know."
"There has to be another way!"
"If I know…"
"Please reconsider and think of another way!"
"…"
Cherubi watches on as Seraphi instructed Ophani to prepare the communicator as they will attempt to contact Naegi and inform him of the impending situation that is slated to happen in two hours from now.

At Hope's Peak Academy, most of the students of Class 78 stared in surprise seeing Naegi and Maizono running here, terrified and spooked to death, and the classmates were astounded to hear the reason why Naegi and Maizono came inside the classroom screaming out loud and told the two that the so-called GHOST OF HANAKO is just an urban legend and doesn't exist.
"Geez…"
"What are you two? Elementary kids?"
"Come on…"
"You know there's no such things as ghosts…"
"That HANAKO thing is just plain rumors…"
"An urban legend."
"I can't believe you two would believe in such things…"
"Yeah…how did you fell for that ruse?"
Kirigiri sighed as she wondered why her two classmates got mixed up with the rumor and wished that they use common sense that ghosts don't exists, though she seemingly forgot that she herself was possessed by a female ghost a few months ago and it took Naegi to save and exorcise her from the ghost that resided at the now-demolished mansion.
By then Jin Kirigiri is heard on the speakers where he announced that an emergency dismissal is in effect and that all students are being evacuated from Tokyo, surprising Class 78 as they did not expect something like this and wondered what is going on here.
"Huh?"
"An emergency dismissal?"
"Whoa…"
"That's unexpected…"
"What's going on?"
"Something must be up…"
"Another security breach?"
"Who knows?"
As the students calmly leave the classroom, Kirigiri instructed Naegi and Maizono to hide at the toilet room as she attempts to ask her dad what is going on and why the sudden evacuation to leave Tokyo.
Minutes later, Kyoko is inside the headmaster's office, where she learned from him that a warning and evacuation is being implemented after getting word that a space shuttle from space is believed to be crash-landing somewhere within Tokyo, and it is possible that it might crash within or near Hope's Peak Academy, thus Jin puts the safety of the students as the top priority.
"…and that's why you must evacuate, Kyoko."
"…"
"You should go now…"
"I…"
"Please. For your own safety."
"Very well."
"Good. Now hurry."
"Yes, dad."
Kyoko nodded and said that she understood it and will evacuate, and as she left, she went straight to the girls' toilet, where Naegi and Maizono are waiting, in which Naegi is holding his backpack, where the RED SUIT is hidden, and there Kirigiri told her two classmates about what she found out, and told Naegi to put on the RED SUIT and try using its power to pinpoint the exact location and trajectory on where the space shuttle is heading to, and see if he could intercept the shuttle and steer it towards an uninhabited area.
As Naegi pondered, his smartphone vibrated and he answered it, where Seraphi's voice spoke and both Maizono and Kirigiri peered forward as the alien told Naegi the exact location and trajectory of where the descending space shuttle is heading, and Naegi asked how did he know, but Seraphi said that right now stopping the shuttle from crashing onto a populated area is the priority, and said that Naegi may have to fly out of Earth's atmosphere to catch the shuttle and veer it to another direction.
Kirigiri sensed that something risky is going on, as she asked if the RED SUIT would protect Naegi from the effects of space since a normal person cannot survive without wearing a space suit, and Seraphi said that the possibility of Naegi surviving the vacuum of space is 50%.
Maizono stared in worry while Kirigiri questioned if this is the right thing to do, as there is a possibility that Naegi could die, but the SHSL Luckster stood up and took off his civilian clothes and then puts on the RED SUIT and cape, stating that he will do it if this would mean saving lives, and the two girls appeared hesitant and asked if he is willing to take the risks.
"I'll…do it…"
"Naegi-kun…"
"Naegi-kun…what if…what if you…"
"I'll be okay, Maizono-san."
"Can you do it?"
"Kirigiri-san is right…what if you…"
"I'm sure…the suit would pull me through…"
"…"
"…"
Naegi nodded and puts on his civilian clothes in order to conceal the RED SUIT, and said he believe that he could survive the vacuums of space, and as the transmission ended, Naegi was silent for a moment and the two girls wondered if he is just acting brave and asked if he really wanted to do this, and the SHSL Luckster said he is, as he felt that doing nothing is like letting people die out of selfishness.
He also said that this is a good time to see the RED SUIT's limits, so that he would know how far the suit goes, and assured the two girls that he will be okay and that he will come back alive and well, thus he told the two girls not to worry too much.
"I'll…be fine…"
"Naegi-kun…are you really…?"
"Naegi-kun…what if…what if you…we're talking about you going to outer space…!"
"I'll be okay, Maizono-san. I'm sure of it…"
"Can you do it? I mean…this is about going beyond the normal atmosphere…"
"Kirigiri-san is right…what if you…you know…"
"I'm sure…the suit would pull me through…it hasn't failed me until now…"
"…"
"…"
By then, Nene Yashiro came, and saw the trio and asked if they came here to see Hanako, which Naegi and Maizono went rigid and shook in fear, which Kirigiri asked if this is about the rumor about the ghost inside the girls' toilet, which Yashiro nodded, and said she came here to ask Hanako if he could find a way to stop the shuttle from falling within or near Hope's Peak Academy.
Kirigiri sighed and proclaim that there are no such things as ghosts, and told Naegi and Maizono to stop shaking like scaredy cats and pull themselves together.
By then the toilet door opened and Hanako emerged, smiling eerily and said that there are people who do not believe in ghosts, but then informed Yashiro that it is beyond his GHOSTLY ability grant something like stopping a falling space shuttle from the skies.
Yashiro appeared dejected at hearing Hanako's response, though the ghost said all is not lost, as he said that he overheard someone would stop the shuttle instead.
Kirigiri refused to believe that Hanako is a ghost and asked if he is seriously a ghost, and Hanako smirked as he said that he is, but a denying Kirigri said she doesn't believe so and claim that Hanako is just using makeup to scare girls so as to spread unjustified rumors.
"So you're saying that I'm not a REAL ghost…?"
"Absolutely not."
"Really?"
"I'm sure…you're from another section using special effects to trick people."
"Oh…? What if I prove to you that I'm really a ghost?"
"Can you prove it?"
"Yesss I caaannn…"
"Then show me.…"
Hanako smirked as he placed his head on both sides of his checks and pulled his head up, severing it and revealing its INTERNAL tissues, as well as his spinal cord, and for the first time in recent months, Kyoko Kirigiri got SPOOKED, and screamed in terror, along with Naegi, Maizono and Yashiro and the four students ran out from the girls' toilet and are screaming in horror as they wanted to get away from Hanako.
"WWWWAAHHH!"
"EEEEKKK!"
"GGGAAAHH!"
"KKKYYYYAAAHHH!"
"WWWWAAHHH!"
"EEEEKKK!"
"GGGAAAHH!"
"KKKYYYYAAAHHH!"
At the entrance of the main building, Jin and Kizakura are instructing the students not to run and shove while boarding the bus that would lead them out of Tokyo, but then the two adults were surprised to see Naegi, Maizono, Kyoko and Yashiro running in panic, and Kizakura adjusted his hat seeing the four teens running like scared kids who just saw a ghost.
Jin sighed and said that there are some people believing that ghosts exists and this in turn cause people to get scared just because of hearing such rumors, but nevertheless the two adults continue to assist in evacuating the students of Hope's Peak Academy and ensure that all students are accounted for.
