A/N: Let's get a few things out of the way before we can begin.

1. If you don't know by the summary, Part 6 does not exist in this universe, the only original character from Stone Ocean present in this story is Jolyne. So Dio never had a diary and whatnot.

2. I know that there are many returning characters from part 3, especially part 4, but this story isn't really about them. You'll see in future chapters that this story will really be about my own original characters and their own Stands, (I've made 20+ original Stands for this fanfiction).

3. This will be updated every Friday with no exceptions. Doesn't matter if it's a holiday or not. So expect a new chapter every Friday without any breaks until the story is finished. (As I said before, I've worked ahead and have already written the first 24 chapters). If I don't post on a Friday, then assume I'm dead. Or my internet's down. You choose.

4. Lastly, there is a bit of cursing in this fanfiction, but there will be no slurs or f words. Enough rambling, enjoy and feel free to comment, I will respond to all the comments I can, so feel free to ask questions.

Episode 20: Holy Diver

Damien Donovan along with his twin sister were born in 1986. Their mother, Angela Donovan, was an Englishwoman. Their father was also English, his name was Dio. Dio had broken out of his coffin after a hundred-year slumber a few months prior. He never stepped outside during the day and barely interacted with anyone. He was still learning about the world around him. One thing he had discovered was an odd bow and arrow. This bow and arrow would eventually unlock a new power that Dio had seemingly discovered, a Stand. This was when he met Angela, an artifact historian. This was the first and only time Dio would ever feel love, something that many thought Dio was incapable of feeling. He himself was unsure of this feeling and blamed it all on the heart of Jonathan Joestar who he had stolen along with the rest of his body. Regardless, Angela loved him back, but after growing ill after accidentally cutting her finger on the arrow, Dio gave her some of his cells so she would live. After that, he disappeared, and never spoke to her again.

Several months later, Angela gave birth to the twins, both of them had a star-shaped birthmark on the left side of their shoulders. Angela also realized soon after that she had a peculiar ability. She had realized this after a three-year-old Damien had fallen over and scraped his knee, after wiping away the blood, she could see his memories, all his memories. She was unsure what this was, but a few months later, her daughter had gotten a papercut and came crying to her. After wiping the blood off, she could see all of her daughter's memories. Angela knew this was no coincidence. Dio had briefly told her about this power, a power he had called a Stand. After touching the blood of any individual, she could see all their memories, this also worked on animals as she soon found out when cutting a chicken for dinner. She would call her ability, Good Riddance.

It was at this point that Angela missed Dio terribly, she wanted to see him again, even after three years of his absence. She would constantly tell her children about their father and how they would someday meet him. She used her Good Riddance and artifactual knowledge to find the whereabouts of the arrow that Dio possessed. This took several months, but in 1989, she knew where he was: Cairo, Egypt. After letting her children stay with their grandparents and promising that she would be back soon, Angela set off to Egypt. She took a plane and eventually landed at the Cairo International Airport. She did not know exactly where Dio was, only knowing that he was in the city, and spent several weeks looking for him. One night, she woke up in her hotel room after hearing a rather loud noise. She looked out her window to see a water tower in the distance break open. She hadn't noticed it yet, but a young man with cherry red hair had crashed into that water tower and would soon die. She then saw him. Dio. On the rooftops chasing an old man.

Angela quickly put on some shoes and ran out, but Dio was gone. She could hear screaming from a few blocks away and ran there to find that same old man, dead on the ground, with a knife in his throat. But Dio was gone. Angela was extremely scared and had no idea what was going on, but was sure that her love, Dio, was around here somewhere. She had noticed that he had abnormal abilities, he might be able to save this old man or the other young man in the water tower. Angela did not know that the man she had loved so much was the one who had caused all of this. She kept looking, but couldn't find him. Just as she was about to give up, she heard a very loud smashing noise and looked to see a tower crumbling as if someone was thrown through it. It was fairly far, but she ran as fast as she could towards it.

By the time Angela arrived, she was a panting, sweaty mess. She took a second to catch her breath and noticed that the sun was beginning to rise. She had been out here all night, but she didn't feel tired at all. She raised her head when she heard the sounds of ambulances and went to follow the noise. Several people had gathered to see what the commotion was all about. A teenager who looked to be 17, wearing a school uniform was taken into an ambulance, he was bleeding in several places and seemed to have broken several bones. Angela noticed that these paramedics had SPW written on their uniforms. They worked for the Speedwagon Foundation. Something else caught her eye, a steamroller, beaten up and smoking was not very far away. What had happened here? The last thing she noticed was that the SPW paramedics had a body in a stretcher. It had a tarp over it so its identity was unknown, but judging by the shape of the tarp, whoever was in it had been cut in half vertically and was missing a head. The thought almost made Angela want to vomit. The SPW paramedics were trying to get people to go away, whatever had happened here wasn't pretty. Angela had just noticed, but there was blood splattered everywhere. She looked down and saw some less than a meter away from her.

"Good Riddance," she whispered as she touched the blood. In a flash, all of Dio's memories filled her head. He was born on April 12th, 1868. His father, Dario Brando, was an ugly, mean old man who had worked his wife to death. Dio secretly poisoned his father and was later adopted by a man named George Joestar. Dio hated his new brother, Jonathan Joestar, and he had to live with him for seven years. Dio eventually tried to poison George Joestar as well but was caught by Jonathan. Instead of letting himself get arrested by the police, Dio rejected his humanity by killing George and using his blood on a stone mask to turn him into a vampire. After several battles with Jonathan, Dio's body was destroyed and he was just a head. He attacked Jonathan one last time in a boat and managed to kill him. He stole Jonathan's body and hid in a coffin before the boat blew up. The coffin sank into the sea and nearly a hundred years later in 1986, he was found by some fishermen and broke out. It was at this time that he met Angela and soon left after she almost died from the arrow. He hadn't known it yet, but Angela was already pregnant with twins when he left. He soon fully developed his Stand and grew several followers. He found out about Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Noriaki Kakyoin, Mohammad Abdul, and Jean Pierre Polnareff's attempts to kill him so he sent out an army of Stand users. After all the Stand users were defeated, the Crusaders found Dio. Dio's most loyal servant, Vanilla Ice, killed Abdul and a dog named Iggy before dying himself at the hands of Polnareff. Dio then proceeded to kill Kakyoin and seemingly killed Joseph only to finally be killed by Jotaro.

These memories of the over one-hundred-year-old life of Dio almost sent Angela into a confused hysteria. She had known Dio to be a kind, philosophical man, but now she knew what he really was, pure evil. The man she had loved was gone. She regretted ever wanting to meet Dio again and was glad that he was dead. She flew back to her children that week and hugged them.

"When's daddy coming back?" Damien asked.

"Did you meet him?" his sister asked.

"Daddy's not going to come back," Angela said, "You have me, don't worry about it."

Angela raised her two children by herself. She noticed that they seemed to have Stand abilities as well. By the time Damien was 13, he fully developed his Stand. It had happened when he was playing kickball in school and missed the ball, thus costing his team the victory. Damien felt incredibly guilty. If only I could go back just a few seconds! He had thought, Just ten seconds, that would be enough to try again! If only! His wish would come true when suddenly, time seemed to bend backward. He suddenly found himself where he was ten seconds ago, he saw the ball coming toward him and without thinking, kicked it as hard as he could, getting a home run for his team. Everyone was confused, muttering, "What happened?" "Did he kick twice?" "Why was the ball rolling again?"

Damien found that whenever something bad happened, he could go back for a maximum of ten seconds. But time didn't seem to go back. He tried using this ability in front of a clock and noticed that the events replayed themselves, but time itself was not altered. One day, when he was in bed, he saw something in his room. It looked like a statue. It was the statue of an angel with one of its arms missing. It had grand wings that made it look taller than it was, and it had a cloth tied over its eyes, stained with what looked to be blood. At first, Damien was scared but found that the statue seemed to follow along with his thoughts. It couldn't move its limbs, but its head would look wherever he wanted it to look. When he wanted it to go away, it went away, and when he wanted it to come back, it appeared. The next day he showed his mom who didn't look worried at all.

"I knew this day would come," Angela said, "Have you noticed any weird abilities that you might have?"

"Yeah, actually," Damien said, "Sometimes if I want to redo something, events replay themselves for me."

"This ability," Angela said, "It's called a Stand. I have an ability like this as well."
"A Stand?" Damien asked, "Where did it come from?"

"It most likely came from your father's side," Angela said, "He had one too. I got mine by accident. I wasn't sure if you had it as well, but now I'm certain. Your sister probably has a Stand as well."

"Stand…" Damien said, "Who was my father? You never talk about him."

"He hurt a lot of people," Angela said, "I don't like talking about him. But why don't you give your Stand a name?"

"Name?" Damien asked, "I'm no good at that, what did you name yours?"

"Mine is called, Good Riddance," Angela said, "The only words I wish I could've told your father when he left."

Damien thought for a second, "I'm learning about this man in History class. He was a French writer, and philosopher. He believed in freedom of speech and freedom of religion. His name was François-Marie Arouet, but his pen name was Voltaire. I think I want to name my Stand after him."

"Voltaire?" Angela said, "That sounds like a perfect name."

Damien soon found out that his sister also had a Stand, but it was just a small red fog that she could manifest, it didn't seem to have any abilities. By the age of 15, Damien had fully mastered his Stand. It could replay all events that happened for a maximum of ten seconds in the past. This would not affect time as a whole, and its range was ten meters in any direction of Voltaire. It worked as a perfect sphere around it. When it replays events, everyone still has memories of what happened and to them, it'll seem as if they had gone back in time. Voltaire's cooldown is however far back events were replayed. Voltaire was also able to seemingly delete events in time and everyone, including his, memories of them. But since fate cannot be changed, the events will replay almost the same as they did before. Everyone's memories only return when the seemingly deleted time had been fully restored. Damien tested out his ability to no end, working out every flaw, every detail to make it most useful. His sister on the other hand never developed her Stand more. It was just a red cloud that had no ability.

The following year, Angela grew incredibly sick. The cells that Dio had given her had slowly destroyed her immune system after his death. She grew very weak, and Damien was the one who took care of her. His sister had to get a job to get enough money to pay for rent and medicine while Damien cooked every day and cleaned the house while checking on his mother. Her condition grew worse with the months until she eventually died. Her last words were to Damien, "Keep.. my… blood…" Angela's Stand ability was linked with blood, and she thought that her daughter's might be as well, so she had Damien take some of her blood before she died. Damien and his sister were taken in by their grandparents, but their grief would never end. At the age of 18, they both set off for the same college.

While helping to move some boxes to the dorm room, Damien cut his hand on a nail, and his sister helped him wash it off. When she touched his blood, his entire life flashed in her eyes. She yelled and fell back.

"Are you okay?" Damien asked.

"I...I don't know," she said, "I just saw your every memory, your every thought all at once."

"Like mom's ability?" Damien asked, "Like Good Riddance?"

"I don't know," she said, "This is weird…"

"It happened when you touched my blood, right?" Damien asked.

"Yes, I think so," she responded.

"Hold on," Damien said, "I'm going to get mom's blood."

"You really think something will happen if I touch mom's blood?"

"It's worth a try."

Damien grabbed the blood which was in a tube that he and his sister carried with them everywhere and opened it for the first time. His sister touched the blood and an incredible flash of memories filled her brain. She remembered everything that Angela had remembered and that included all the memories she's gotten from touching others' blood. She remembered Angela's memories of when she touched Dio's blood, thus instantly knowing everything about him. She remembered every little detail from the beginning to the end of Angela's life all within a split second.

"Are you okay?" Damien asked, "What happened?"

His sister just stood there for several seconds before she finally spoke, "Our father… I know everything…"

Just then, the two heard a knock at their door. They opened it up to see a young woman who looked to be three years older than them.

"Hi!" She said, "My name's Greta, I'm your new roommate!"

Damien and his sister chose to ignore what had happened for now and invite Greta into their dorm. That night, they were in a car being driven by Damien. They were on their way to a restaurant for dinner.

"I think we're safe here," Greta said in the car.

"What?" Damien asked, "What are you talking about?"

"They were listening to us in the dorm, but I think we're safe in this car," Greta said.

"Greta, what are you talking about?" Damien's sister asked.

"Have you heard of the Speedwagon Foundation?" Greta asked.

"Yeah," said Damien, "They're a world-renowned foundation created by Robert E.O. Speedwagon after he struck oil. What do they have to do with this?"

"That's just a cover-up," Greta said, "In reality, they're an association that's helped the Joestar's for years. They're also helping to track down Stand users."

"Stand?" Damien's sister asked, "Did you just say Stand? What do you know about Stands?"

"I'm a Stand user," Greta said, "You two are as well, right?"

"How'd you know?" Damien asked.

"There's a saying," Greta said, "Stand users attract one another, plus I overheard your conversation earlier today. You two inherited yours from your parents?"

"Yes," Damien's sister said, "What about you? How'd you get yours?"

"It just developed one day," Greta said, "It is said that some people just randomly develop Stand abilities."

"So what does the Speedwagon Foundation have to do with all this?" Damien's sister asked.

"As I said, they're tracking down Stand users," Greta said, "Do you guys know who Jotaro Kujo is by any chance?"

"No," replied Damien.

"Actually yes," his sister said, "When I touched my mother's blood, I gained all her memories. Remember when we were three years old and she left us at our grandparent's house for a couple of weeks, Damien?"

"Yeah," Damien said, "She said she was going to find our father."
"Well she did," his sister said, "She managed to touch his blood and gain all his memories. Jotaro is the descendant of an old enemy. He's the one who killed our father."

"Your father was Dio?" Greta asked, "There is so much we need to talk about. After developing my Stand, I was under the Speedwagon Foundation's radar. But one time… I…" Greta paused for a second, averting her gaze from the twins, "I messed up. My Stand can drop bombs, I didn't know that. I killed several people by accident. But the Speedwagon Foundation has been hunting me down ever since. Listen, I'm not actually your roommate, I'm asking for your help. They already know I'm here, but I really need you guys."

"What?" Damien asked, "Your Stand drops bombs and you killed several people?"

"That's right," Greta said, sadly, "I didn't do it on purpose, I swear. I haven't been able to sleep properly at night. Listen, I'm not proud of myself. But they're going to arrest me, keep me in a cell forever. I don't want that. Are you two willing to help me?"

"I don't know," Damien said, "This is all a bit too crazy."

"Bite your finger," his sister said, "Bite it until it bleeds, then I'll trust you."

Greta looked at Damien's sister reluctantly before biting her thumb, sending a small trickle of blood going down her hand. Damien's sister reached over and touched the blood.

"Greta's telling the truth," she said, "I just witnessed all her memories. Everything she said was true. She really did accidentally kill twenty-three people. But she's been tormented by this. The Speedwagon Foundation actually is tracking her down."

"Then what do we do?" Damien asked.

Before anyone could answer, a loud voice coming from a megaphone could be heard, "This is the police, get out of your vehicle with your hands in the air!"

Greta looked out the window, "Those aren't police officers! They're Speedwagon Foundation members!"

"What do we do?" Damien's sister asked.

Without saying a word, Damien floored the car. The SPW Foundation members got into their police cars and drove after, chasing them. Damien's heart sank when he heard gunshots. Suddenly, the car swerved into a streetlight and crashed.

"They shot out our tires!" Damien yelled, "Voltaire!"

Suddenly, the car was back on the road where it once was, Damien moved the car around making it more difficult for the tires to be shot out, "I replayed the events from ten seconds ago," he explained to Greta, "I did not rewind time, I simply rewinded the events that happened within these ten seconds and dodged the bullets this time, I'm sure we'll-" One of the cars had slammed into them, stopping their escape.

"Use Voltaire again!" Greta said, as she felt blood dripping down her head from the crash, "We need to dodge it this time."

"I can't," Damien said, "There's a ten-second cooldown, it's already too late."

Damien's sister looked out the broken car window, they were surrounded by cop cars.

"This is your last chance!" The one holding the megaphone said a badge on his uniform read, 'Binns', "Get out of the vehicle with your arms in the air! If any of you try using your Stands, we have permission to shoot and kill!"

"Listen," Damien said, "When I say run, you run, both of you."

"What?" His sister asked, "No I'm not leaving you behind!"

"Listen to me!" Damien yelled, his tone scared her, "When I tell you to run, you will run! Greta! Make sure you keep her safe, you hear me!"

Greta nodded absently. Damien looked at his sister one last time before stepping out of the battered car, his hands, high in the air. Damien could feel his heart beating fast, although his breathing was calm.

"Voltaire," he muttered, the angel appeared next to him.

"He's got a Stand!" Binns yelled.

"Run!"

These were the last words Damien's sister heard before several gunshots and the sound of her brother's body falling to the floor. Greta grabbed Damien's sister's arm and pulled her out of the car, forcing her to run.

"What are you doing!" she yelled, "Let me go! Damien!" Time seemed to bend backward ten seconds and she could hear gunshots again, and Damien fell to the ground again. He erased the events playing up to his death right before he got shot! He replayed his own death to save us ten seconds! Damien's sister began to cry as she ran.

"They're going to follow us," Greta said, "They've probably already realized that we left the car."

"What are we going to do?" Damien's sister said, shaking and crying like crazy, "What the hell are we going to do now!"

"It's almost here," Greta said, "I didn't park it far."

"What's almost here?" Damien's sister asked. An airship suddenly appeared in the night sky, a rope ladder falling down in front of them.

"This is my Stand, Van Fleet," Greta said, "We'll be safe in here."

By the time the two entered, it was too late to be stopped by the Speedwagon Foundation. Van Fleet flew away, and within minutes, they were out of sight.

"This is a nightmare!" Damien's sister yelled, "How could this happen?!" In her frustration, she didn't notice that a statue of an angel suddenly appeared next to her.

"Voltaire?" Greta asked, noticing the stone angel, "Wasn't that your brother's Stand?"

"Huh?" Damien's sister turned to see Voltaire, but this was her Stand, she could feel it. The angel turned into a red cloud of smoke, "So this is my ability," Damien's sister whispered in a monotone voice, "I can copy other's abilities? First, it was my mother's, now it's my brother's. This really is a nightmare, this is truly a Red Nightmare."

"I'm so sorry," Greta said, "This was my fault. I promise I'll do anything in my power to help you in any way I can in the future… Hey, I know this is embarrassing, but I didn't get your name."

"My name's Dianne," she said, "Dianne Donovan. But this wasn't your fault, Greta. This was their fault. This was my father's fault. Both sides are at fault, my father's and the Joestars. You said you'll help me? Both sides need to be eradicated."

...

Hozier's mirror broke through the wall and ceiling of the mansion along with Dio's face which fell off along with the rest of his body like rubber, revealing a girl twenty-three years of age.

Kenna recognized what this rubber was. She was sure Joanne and Tenmei recognized it as well. "E-Elastic… Band?" she said in disbelief.

"You're not Dio!" Joanne yelled, "You're someone else!"

"Dio?" Dianne said as her blood dripped onto the floor, "No, it seems my disguise is gone. There's no use hiding my identity anymore. I am not Dio, I never was. Dio died twenty years ago. He was my father."

"What?" Tenmei asked, "What is going on?!"

Dianne could feel blood going down her head, "That kid's mirror… He got me…" she covered her wound with her left hand, revealing that she had a ring on her ring finger, "There is too much to explain. My name's Dianne Donovan. Me being Dio was a mere facade. You recognized the Stand I used to change my appearance, Elastic Band. I also used it to create a fake The World to trick you all. My true Stand is called Red Nightmare, it's ability is simple, I can store and use anyone else's Stand simply by touching them." Upon feeling her head wound, she realized that it was deeper than she thought it was.

"But why?!" Kenna yelled, "Why pose as Dio? Why lie to everyone?"

Dianne let out a light chuckle, the blood from her face falling to the floor, "I knew his presence would bring out fear in you. Fear is what I needed. I could never stop time, I was simply replaying events this entire time with my dead brother's Stand, Voltaire. Do you want to know how he died? The Speedwagon Foundation killed him."

"But why go after us?" Tenmei asked, "Why send others to attack Morioh in the first place?"

"To eradicate both sides," Dianne said, "The Joestar and Brando lineages need to end."

"Your dad is Dio!" Joanne yelled, "You have both Joestar and Brando blood in you!"

"I know," Dianne said, "I planned to die after all this was over. But as long as our families still exist, there will always be conflict, there will always be innocents who are caught in the crossfire. Speaking of killing, you are probably wondering how I killed Hol Horse and Polnareff. I used a Stand I took from an old friend of mine named, Karmiel Edwards. Its name is Uncontrollable Urge. If I ingest the blood of someone, whatever Uncontrollable Urge eats will appear in their stomach. I ingested Hol Horse's blood and had Uncontrollable Urge ate razor blades and chemicals. That killed him quickly. Polnareff was quite easy actually, I just threw a metal rod through him."

"Why are you telling us all of this?" Joanne asked.

"This wound is deep," Dianne said, "To be honest, I don't think I'm going to survive this battle. I know when I'm beaten. I might as well tell you everything before I die. After all, I only really had plans to kill one of you." Dianne looked into Joanne's eyes, "I'm kind of disappointed that Scallion and Stevana didn't manage to kill Jotaro and Jolyne. It would have been perfect if they succeeded. Then I would've just had to kill you. And then Josuke is a statue right now, he'd be easy to eliminate."

"Are you the reason everyone's still stone?" Tenmei asked, "Is this your doing?"
"Yes, it is," Dianne said, "I've already disposed of Stue Rod. I've been keeping his ability activated this entire time with his Sweet Little Rock."

"What about me?" Kenna asked, "Was there any point in having me around? What about everyone else here?!"

"Just pawns," Dianne said, "I didn't care about you, the only person I care about is Greta."

Tears fell down Kenna's cheeks, "I cared about Greta too! Why'd you send her to attack us?! If you cared about her, you wouldn't have sent her at all!"

Dianne looked down, "I loved Greta. More than you can imagine. If I had known she would've died, I never would have sent her. I didn't know she would attack you, those weren't her orders. All she was supposed to do was get Khan back here."

"This isn't love," Joanne said, "If you really loved her you would've gone with her! So many lives would've been spared if you had just attacked us, to begin with! Jon L, Stue Rod, Khan Miran, Greta! What the hell did they die for?! Why didn't you attack us yourself?! Instead, you hid in your mansion until we came to you! If you truly loved Greta, you would have gone after us yourself!" Joanne was breathing heavily, she clenched her fists tight.

"You're right," Dianne said, "I should've gone instead. But my decisions do not dictate my love. I loved Greta! And now I'll die just like her."

"You're too content," Tenmei said, "There's still something we don't know."

Dianne smiled, "You're right. I am content. My plan still hasn't failed. The Joestars will die along with the Brandos. It just so happens that my death will arrive a bit earlier than anticipated. They're still going to come after you. The Wall. They will find you. That's all I have to say. Finish me off fast, my face hurts."

"I don't think she's lying," Kenna said, "She's perfectly fine with dying right here, right now."

"Then let's do it," Tenmei said as Ruby Tuesday gripped its blood scythe, "We'll worry about The Wall later."

"I don't disagree," Joanne said, "After all that's happened, she needs to die."

Kenna nodded slowly, and Hozier gripped her pant leg. Tenmei looked at Dianne's eyes and Ruby Tuesday charged at her, ready to swipe her head off with its blood scythe.

Several explosions could be heard in the distance. Everyone turned around to see an airship flying fast towards them. It was dropping bombs on the trees.

"It can't be," Kenna said, "Greta? Greta's alive!"

"But how?" Joanne asked, "We blew her up along with her airship."

Dianne took this moment to rush quickly towards Joanne and Tenmei. She managed to touch both of them before using Voltaire to go back five seconds, maintaining her distance from them once again.

"What was that?" Joanne asked.

"She touched us!" Tenmei said.

"Ruby Tuesday!" Dianne yelled, all the blood around Tenmei's Stand flowed towards an identical Ruby Tuesday next to Dianne. She quickly threw all the blood out of the hole in the wall of the mansion, keeping it out of range of both Ruby Tuesdays.

"She used my ability!" Tenmei yelled, "When she touched us, she copied our Stand abilities!"

"We need to get out of here now!" Kenna yelled, "Van Fleet is coming and we're going to get blown up if we don't leave."

"But we're so close!" Tenmei yelled, "We are so close to victory!"

"We'll get her another time," Joanne said, "We know all her secrets now. What's important is that we're able to escape."

Tenmei wanted to argue, but he knew the two were correct. After looking at Dianne one last time, he rushed down the stairs with them, Kenna carrying Hozier on her back. Dianne sighed with relief, not from being saved, but from knowing that Greta was still alive. The bombs stopped falling and the airship stopped above her, letting down a rope ladder. Dianne climbed up the ladder looking one last time at her enemies.

Tenmei Kakyoin, Kenna Fletcher, she thought, If you two are smart, you'll run far away. But Joanne Jones, I am coming for you. I will end our lineages. She climbed to the top and upon seeing Greta, hugged her, crying.

"I thought I lost you," she said.

"I wish I could've arrived sooner," Greta said, "If I hadn't distracted them with my bombs, they would've killed you there."

"We'll come back for them," Dianne said, "Joanne Jones is our only target. We won't kill Fletcher."

Greta looked out and saw Kenna with Tenmei, Joanne, and Hozier, "I don't know anymore." she said.

"Contact The Wall," Dianne said, "And Miller and Cliff as well. We're going to need all the help we can get." Van Fleet sped on ahead, leaving Joanne, Kenna, Tenmei, and Hozier behind.

Dianne Donovan, Joanne thought as she watched the airship disappear, Fate has allowed you to escape for now, but after everything you've done, you won't be free for long. Fate. It's coming for you. We all are.

...

A/N That's chapter 20! This was quite eventful, wasn't it? First things I should mention are all the musical references. The first is Angela, who's named after a Japanese band. Her Stand, Good Riddance, is a Green Day song. Damien's Stand, Voltaire, is named after the band, Cabaret Voltaire. Dianne's Stand, Red Nightmare, is named after the King Crimson song, "One More Red Nightmare". The Stand that Dianne used to kill Hol Horse is revealed to be called, Uncontrollable Urge, named after the Devo song of the same name. This chapter, Holy Diver, much like Sacred Heart and Dream Evil, is named after a DIO studio album. What do you think of the twist? Dio was just Dianne in disguise. As I said, I had this planned from the beginning. I like how most of this chapter revolves over the backstory of Dianne, and how she isn't name-dropped until the very end, just to maybe fool the twist for some viewers. Not that Damien's sister being Dio wasn't the best twist ever, but I hoped it fooled at least somebody. One thing I wanna mention is that the Speedwagon Foundation Officer, Binns, has been in this story already. If you remember, he talked to Joanne and Jolyne back in chapter five, and was on a phone call with Tenmei in chapter 15. You may also notice that in this chapter, he somehow saw that Damien had a Stand. Does this imply that Binns is a Stand user? Yes, it does! We'll be seeing Binns a lot more in the future. Anyways, I believe that's enough talking, so I hope you enjoyed this extra-long chapter, and I'll see you all next week for Episode 21: Flood Part 1.
