Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc continues, in which the space shuttle is slated to make a crash landing, in which Naegi and his friends are now on the move to intercept and try to veer the shuttle to a different location to avert a potential disaster…
And now it's about to happen…will Naegi be able to pull it off?
Well then, read on and enjoy!
Back at the vicinity of Mt. Bandai, Naegi flew higher as he is now above the cloud level, and he wondered if he is doing the right thing, as he realized that he hasn't tested the suit's capability when it comes to outer space, and as he is about to go further above, he could feel the cold atmosphere, and braces himself in case he fails in this mission.
"Damn…if I hadn't lose the instruction book, I might have…"
By then he saw the shuttle descending, and there Naegi went underneath the shuttle's underside and grabbed hold, where he uses the suit's power to give him some extra PHYSICAL BOOST and tries to steer the shuttle towards another area, which proved difficult at first, due to the speed of the shuttle's descending speed, and yet he persevered and managed to move its angle a bit, where the shuttle is now heading towards an area near the mountain.
"Okay…keep it together…don't screw up…"
Kirigiri and Maizono saw it and there the SHSL Detective tells her classmate to hop on as they are going after it.
"Maizono!"
"Huh…?"
"Hop on!"
"Eh?"
"We're going after Naegi!"
"Is he…?"
"Still steering the shuttle!"
"Okay!"
Maizono hopped into the car as she and Kirigiri began to move out and follow the shuttle, where Maizono served as the EYES as she uses the binoculars to keep track of the shuttle which is being diverted towards an unspecified direction while Kirigiri is driving the car and instructed Maizono to give the direction on where the shuttle is heading to.
She also told Maizono not to lose sight of the shuttle as they need to keep an eye out for Naegi, as they can't let anyone see him wearing the red suit and to keep his identity as the SUPER GUY a secret no matter what it takes.
"You get my drift, right?"
"Y-yeah…"
"We got to get to where Naegi is landing…"
"Right…"
"And we bail him out. We can't let anyone see him in the suit…"
"I understand…"
"Brace yourself, Maizono…"
"Got it!"
The car sped off as they are chasing the descending shuttle as they hoped that the shuttle would crash land onto a vacant area with no people on sight, as the two girls wanted to avert whatever disaster it might occur if someone saw what Naegi did and report it to the media.

Ch. 117: Chakuriku kon'nan
At NASA, the technicians and employees are staring at the monitor, and are dumbfounded at what they are seeing, as the monitor showed that the DOT (representing the shuttle) somewhat veered to a different angle and is heading to another direction.
The NASA head asked the technicians what is going on, in which they said that they too are clueless on what is happening at the moment, and couldn't come up with an explanation as to why this happened.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, sir! Looks like it moved a bit!"
"Then the pilots are still alive?"
"Don't know…we still got no answer."
"What the heck is going on there?"
"I wish I knew…"
"Damn…"
"…"
By then one of the NASA employees received a call and answered it, only to find out that the caller turn out to be the US president, and he told the NASA head about it, which the NASA head wondered what Trumpet wanted now as he is preoccupied at the moment.
"HIM again…?"
"Yes, sir…"
"At a time like this…?"
"…"
"What does he want now?"
"Don't know."
"…"
"…"
Left with no choice, the NASA head took the phone and spoke to Trumpet, where they soon exchanged heated words regarding the shuttle, as the NASA head maintained that he didn't know what went on with the shuttle on why it suddenly changed course and why none of the astronauts answered the call, and assured to the president that NASA is doing all they could.
The president gave the NASA head an ultimatum, but was rebuked when told that threatening him will not solve anything and is told to wait for further news once it becomes available.
"With all due respect, SIR…I would appreciate if you stop with the threat…"
"What?"
"I'm doing my job, and you nagging me won't help matters…"
"Do you realize who you are talking to?"
"Yes I do, which is why I have no respect for you. All you know is real estate business and the Miss Universe…"
"How dare you…"
"If you don't mind…"
"I'll have your ass on this…!"
The NASA employees eavesdropped at the heated conversation, and agreed that Trumpet has to be the worst US president in America's history, and wished that he be impeached as his policies are dividing the Americans and causing dissent throughout North America and abroad.
"That guy pisses me off…"
"Me too…"
"America First…it's plain bullshit."
"Makes me wonder of our fellow Americans have become so stupid for voting for a guy like him…"
"Maybe they were bribed?"
"Could be…he's a billionaire, after all…"
"He should have stayed in the media business instead of the White House…"
"Yeah…"

At the evacuation center, Kizakura is seen talking to Tengan about the current situation, and both appeared to be relieved that the students of Hope's Peak Academy are safe, and all are accounted for, and so far things appeared fine as the army assured to them that they have nothing to worry about and that no harm will come.
By then they saw Jin looking worried and concerned, where he is seen pacing back and forth, and the two men approached the headmaster and asked him what is wrong, where Jin said that three students appeared to be missing, and revealed that Naegi, Kirigiri and Maizono are not here, which made Tengan looked concerned, as he thought that all students are already here.
"Really, Jin?"
"Yes, sir!"
"Hmm…"
"I'm worried…"
"Now, now…let's calm down…"
"But…"
"I'm sure that your daughter is okay…"
"Still…"
Kizakura sighed as he jokingly assume that Naegi took the two girls on a date, which Jin sternly reprimanded him, though Tengan assured to Jin that his daughter will be okay and that he has nothing to worry about, saying that maybe the three teens may have been taken to another evacuation center, thus Jin has nothing to be worried about.
Jin just sighed and said that he hope that what Tengan said has to be the case.
"So relax, Jin."
"I…I…"
"I'm sure that your daughter will be okay."
"You think so?"
"Indeed."
"…"
"So relax a little so we can collect our thoughts…"
"Okay…"
The rest of Class 78 overheard the conversation and wondered if Naegi really took Maizono and Kirigiri somewhere, and they hoped that they are going to be okay and not get into trouble given the emergency situation and all.
"Naegi…"
"What was he thinking?"
"I bet he took the two girls and went to a love hotel…"
"Hey!"
"That's not funny!"
"Indeed. They must be having a hard time…"
"Hope Naegi, Kirigiri and Maizono are okay…"
"Yeah…"

Back at the scene, you can see that Naegi is trying to veer the falling shuttle a bit further to another direction as he could barely see the town ahead, and he had to try and do something to avoid a possible collision, and he saw what appeared to be a vacant area within Mt. Bandai, and decided to take a risk and try head to that direction.
Using sheer will power, Naegi uses the red suit's power to try forcing the shuttle to head to that direction, and it slowly worked, and now all Naegi had to do is support it without forcing it to crash land, and as he did so, the scene shift to the ground below, where Kirigiri and Maizono are following the sight of the falling shuttle, and there Kirigiri asked Maizono how are things above.
"How is everything?"
"Well…the shuttle is still in sight…"
"And Naegi-kun?"
"Still there."
"He's hanging in there…"
"…"
"We'll be there soon…"
"Okay…"
After several more minutes, Naegi is cushioning the weight of the shuttle as it descends to the ground, and he took care not to make the impact threatening as he slowly pulls the weight and the shuttle makes a crash landing that is safe enough without causing damage to the shuttle, and after several minutes of skidding, the shuttle came to a stop, and Naegi sighed as he landed on the ground, feeling his whole body getting numb after several minutes of carrying the shuttle.
The car arrived where Kirigiri stopped, and as Maizono got off to greet him, the SHSL Detective asked Naegi if he could use the suit's power to SEE THROUGH the shuttle and find out if the pilots survive. A hesitant Naegi nodded and tried it where he SAW that the pilots are already DEAD, and told her what he found out.
"What?"
"The pilots…they're dead."
"Are you sure…?"
"Yes."
"…"
"They must have…"
"I see…"
"…"
As Maizono appeared worried, Kirigiri uses the binoculars and saw the army soldiers arriving in vans and with them are several fire trucks and ambulances, and there she told Naegi and Maizono that they are getting out of here, which the two teens nodded in agreement.
Boarding the car, the three tens make a run for it and safely got out of sight before the army arrived, and with the firefighters hosing the shuttle with water, the soldiers slowly got in, and found the dead pilots, and they were baffled as to what caused it, and they are baffled as to how the shuttle landed safely even though the pilots are dead.
"How the heck did this happen?"
"…"
"The shuttle landed safely even though the pilots are dead…"
"Beats me…"
"There's no way…"
"Must be a miracle…"
"If that were believable…"
"…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as the current story arc is underway, and now Naegi and his friends are now on their way to an area within Mt. Bandai as the three aliens used their weapons to have the falling shuttle veer to another slight course, yet it is still in danger of landing to a populated area…
Naegi is currently trying to carry the shuttle and is having difficulty in navigating the landing, yet in the end the shuttle landed safely yet something is amiss as he found out that the pilots are already dead…
Thankfully…he and his two classmates bailed out before firefighters and ambulances arrived, thus managing to keep their deed a secret…
I made an OC that acts as a fictionalized version of the USA president, who acts as the one who is monitoring the events and threatened to make a move if the shuttle lands on a very populated area within Mt. Bandai…
