First off: belated happy New Year and welcome to 2022. Last month I said that this fic will be ready by the end of January, but for a reason it ended up getting delayed, in which I won't make any excuses. It is because I caught the COVID despite getting vaccinated, and I believe that I have gotten the Omicron variant. Thankfully I managed to recover while isolating myself inside my house but as a result working on this and my other fanfics slowed down, hence the late update of this fic.
Now that I finished my explanation…time to get down to business…
Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc continues, in which the space shuttle is now in Japanese custody, while at the same time something STRANGE happened to Naegi, which would add woes to our resident Luckster…
Well then, read on and enjoy!
The scene shifts back at NASA, where the head of NASA is halfway in losing his cool as Trumpet called him and demanded that the NASA chief admit that he is involved in the election fraud and there the NASA chief shouted back at the now-defeated president, telling him to stop pestering him as he is busy in getting in touch with the Japanese officials regarding the crashed space shuttle.
Trumpet wouldn't relent and began to do a series of time-consuming and time-wasting tirades, going as far as accusing the NASA chief of treachery by allying with the enemies of the United States of America, where Trumpet mentioned the following names:
- Kim Dom Cam of North Korea
- Sa-Dummy Hustle of Iraq
- Ayatollah Boom-Shakalaka of Iran
- Abdula Al Butch-Cassidy-n'Sundance-kid of Saudi Arabia
- Nulla Shalalala of Afghanistan
- Xin Jinping-pong-ball of China
- Arf-Arf Alviendachipmanks of Pakistan
- Mikhail Gobra-Chevrolet of Russia
The NASA chief is clearly getting pissed off and told Trumpet to stop bothering him as he is still busy with trying to facilitate the retrieval of the space shuttle, but Trumpet wouldn't stop as he accuses him of IMAGINED CHARGES like:
- rigging the election proceedings;
- Smuggling ADULT manhwa (Korean comics);
- collaborating with a female Pakistani in order for her to sneak in nuclear weapons:
- secretly brokering a deal with the Saudi Arabian leader to hoard MOTOR OIL and COOKING OIL;
- secretly collaborating with China so that the Chinese agents can stealthily install Weibo on the American internet sites so that the American youth can access Chinese PORN SITES;
- and forming a secret alliance with the Russian government to bring in tennis beauties and take pictures of them while exposing their panties.
The NASA chief face-palmed and totally lost his cool and screamed at Trumpet to TAKE A HIKE before slamming the phone down, and the NASA employees tried to calm the chief down and urged him to ignore Trumpet, saying that the PIG is panicking because he lost his reelection bid.
"Don't worry."
"We're behind you!"
"We'll ignore that pig."
"That guy's brainless."
"He shouldn't be president at all."
"He's a whacko."
"Hope he gets his just deserts."
"Right!"

At the White House, Trumpet is in a state of doing an immature rant after feeling being disrespected by the NASA head, and told his secretary to prepare the documents to have the NASA head not only sacked, but to have him arrested for the IMAGINARY CHARGES, and the secretary answered back, saying that the charges he mentioned have no basis and he would only get himself embarrassed, as she mentally believe that Trumpet has lost his bearing due to losing his reelection bid and now he has only a month before stepping down as president.
"Sorry, Mr. President…no can do."
"What?"
"Those charges are not valid…"
"But they are!"
"Please forget about it…"
"I won't!"
"…"
"I must defend America's interest!"
In his foolish and mindless ranting, Trumpet angrily picked up his cup of coffee, she became more dismayed as he is holding his phone and is actually checking on his line of hotels, and is seen becoming more of a nervous wreck upon finding out that the hotels that are being constructed have stopped, as the construction workers decided to abandon it after being informed that the money being used for construction expenses and workers' wages came from the national treasury, and thus the construction of the unfinished hotels have been frozen.
Trumpet went on another tantrum, the secretary is pissed that Trumpet is wasting time on things that aren't vital to the American interests and now believed that karma has caught up to him after years of incompetent ruling.
As Trumpet drank his coffee, his personal campaign manager came running in and is very worried, as he told Trumpet that he checked the election results from other states, and revealed that the votes are all in favor of the winning presidential candidate, Joker Bidding, and this revelation caught Trumpet by surprise, in which he choked and spits his coffee out of his mouth and the secretary became a victim as the spitted coffee landed on her face.
"PPPPFFTTT!"
"EEEEKKK!"
"KAFF-KAFF-KAFF…"
"GEEZ!"
"KAFF-KAFF-KAFF!"
"Mr. President! You idiot!"
"Quiet! Get out of my sight! Do a porn movie or something!"
"You fat jerk! I quit!"
As the secretary angrily left and quit the Trumpet cabinet, Trumpet stood up and demanded an explanation on what he just heard, but the campaign manager sadly tells him that the results showed that 95% of the votes from several states and counties are in favor of Bidding, and it also showed that several states wielded the same results. He even showed Trumpet the online results.
Trumpet made another immature rant as he refused to accept this and picked up the phone and contacted his personal assistant, and told him to contact his TEAM of LEGAL EXPERTS and instructed him to contact his cabinet members to have an emergency meeting to discuss about the current matter as he plans to challenge the results of the election in order for him to remain in the White House.
"Call my lawyer! Call all available lawyers! Get me the best ones you know!"
"Mr. President…the results speak for itself…the voters voted for Bidding…"
"Baloney! There's still a chance! We will challenge the election results!"
"But…but…sir…you have to…"
"A massive fraud took place! We got to bargain with the Supreme Court!"
"That's impossible! Even the Supreme Court is already aware of your…"
"I don't care! I'm going to win this! So swears the United States president!"
"Damn it…this guy's hopeless…"
Trumpet heard what his PA just said and demanded to know if he is insulting the president, and there he threatened to have his security aides, and even the FBI to arrest his PA for verbal sedition and insurrection, and there the PA finally gathered the courage and told Trumpet that he is not only a lost cause, but the worst president of the United States of America, and he made it clear that he is quitting and told him to find someone else to represent the now-defeated president.
Trumpet is livid and berated the now erstwhile PA, who walked out of the office, and then he told his staff to do something, which they reluctantly nodded as they clearly do not want to hear another of Trumpet's silly ranting.

Ch. 119: Jiki inryoku
The scene shifts in Japan, where it soon zoomed towards Mt. Bandai, the scene shows that Kyoko is driving the car as they are heading towards a hostel as they need to rest after all that has happened, while Maizono gave Naegi a trench coat to wear in order to cover the red suit he is wearing, and there she commended him for saving the day, which he said that he is glad that he did not have to fly out to outer space.
"Wow Naegi-kun! You saved the day! I'm impressed."
"Well…"
"You saved a shuttle! And prevent it from crashing onto the town."
"At least I didn't get to try flying out to space…"
"Well…all that's left is we head back to town tomorrow…"
"Yeah…"
"You deserved a break, too."
"Well…"
As they arrived near a hostel, Maizono brought out her wallet and is about to take out some money when coins mysteriously levitated and attached itself onto Naegi's body, which Maizono blinked her eyes as she is baffled at what just occurred.
Then more coins came out and attached itself onto Naegi, which Kyoko noticed it and sensed that something is amiss and there she tells Naegi to stay inside the car and tells Maizono to pay the hostel owner while she figure out what is going on.
"Maizono…you do the paying to the cashier."
"Uh…"
"I'll keep an eye on Naegi…I think something strange has happened to him…"
"Seriously?"
"Yes."
"…o-okay…"
"We'll wait here…"
"…"
As Maizono went inside the hostel to inquire for a spare room to use, Kirigiri glanced at Naegi as she is somewhat suspicious as the coins moved and went to Naegi's body and remained there, which the SHSL Detective decided to test her theory and suspicion, so she tells him to remove his trench coat which made Naegi blink his eyes in bafflement.
After some prodding, he did so and removed the trench coat exposing the red suit he is wearing, and then she opened her bag where some metallic objects flew out of her bag, such as coins, paper clips, a ballpen and even a set of keys and attached itself onto his body, surprising Naegi.
The SHSL Luckster was baffled by this and asked Kirigiri what just happened, and this made her curious and asked if this is another HIDDEN ABILITY of the red suit, which Naegi thought carefully before telling her that he didn't do anything like this and said this has never happened before since putting on the red suit several months ago.
"Are you sure, Naegi-kun?"
"Yes."
"And you didn't activate it on your own?"
"No."
"…"
"I didn't do anything. Honest."
"…"
"…"
Her eyes narrowed and glanced at her classmate, seeing that he is not kidding, and sensed that something is amiss, and before she is about to ask a question, Maizono came back and told the two that she paid the cashier and secured a room, which Kirigiri nodded and told Naegi to put the trench coat back on and follow Maizono, and at the same time instructed the SHSL Idol to escort Naegi straight to the room and avoid any areas with small metallic items at all costs.
Maizono was baffled yet Kirigiri said that she will explain it later. Soon the trio are inside the rented hostel room and the SHSL Detective fill in to her two classmates what she deduced so far, and said that she couldn't be sure if this is another effect of the red suit or something else that may have affected Naegi's body.
Naegi and Maizono glanced at their classmate, with the latter slowly getting alarmed at the possibility that Naegi may have contracted a form of radiation sickness, while the former tried to calm her down, which Kirigiri sweat-dropped at the scene before her.
"No! Naegi-kun is poisoned?"
"Maizono-san…"
"That can't be!"
"W-wait..."
"Naegi is not sick…!"
"I don't think that's the case…she means that something has affected the suit…"
"Really…?"
"…"
Sighing, Kirigiri said that she is thinking of two scenarios that may have something to do with the space shuttle, stating that it is either another awakened ability of the red suit or something may have caused an effect on the red suit, reasoning that if there is something that may cause radiation sickness then Naegi would have shown symptoms by now.
To test her theory, she instructed Naegi to head for the rest room and remove the red suit and as Naegi did so, she tells him to peer slightly behind the door, and as he did so, more coins levitate and went towards Naegi, but at the same time utensils such as forks and knives also levitated and head for Naegi's direction, and Kirigiri tells him to close the door.
Naegi panicked and did so, and the metallic objects hit the door, remained like that before eventually fell to the floor, which a surprised Maizono was speechless at what she saw and asked her classmate what just happened, and she couldn't believe what she just heard from the SHSL Detective.
"There you have it."
"…"
"It just supported the theory I deduced."
"…"
"Something from the shuttle somewhat affected Naegi-kun…but only involving the suit he is wearing."
"…"
"And this is just the start…"
"…"
Kirigiri theorizes that there maybe something on the space shuttle that may have caused an unintended side effect on Naegi, and she attributed it to the fact that Naegi is wearing the red suit, and there she went to the door of the restroom and told Naegi what she explained to Maizono and instructed him to keep wearing the red suit as a means of protection.
By then the hostel assistant knocked, and tells them that there is a small cafeteria outside where they can buy food, which Kirigiri nodded and as the hostel assistant left, Naegi came out after the coast is clear, and soon more small metallic objects flew and attached onto Naegi's body, such as wristwatches and a letter opener, and the SHSL Luckster sighed in dismay, and asked if saving the space shuttle was the right thing to do.
Maizono attempted to cheer her classmate up and assured to him that everything will be okay, though deep down she too is worried about what might possibly happen next, seeing that Naegi may have been exposed to unforeseen consequences.
Suddenly, knives, forks, and even a hammer, screwdrivers and nails began to levitate, and Maizono panicked as she pushes Naegi towards the restroom.
"!"
"!"
"Quick!"
"Hey!"
"In you go!"
"Whoa!"
"Hurry!"
"Oof!"
As Maizono pushed Naegi towards the restroom the sharp-edged metallic objects flew towards the two teens' direction, and the two teens panicked and shut the door, and the objects hit the door before falling to the floor after a few seconds.
Kirigiri stared intently as she wondered what triggered this and wondered if there is a way to contact the three aliens as she believe that they might know something about this situation.
Leaning her ear onto the side of the door, she asked Maizono if she and Naegi are okay, hoping that they are.
"Naegi…Maizono..."
"…"
"…"
"Are you two okay?"
"…"
"…"
"Wait there for now."
"…"
"…"
