Kashyyk 3998 BBY

AN: I decided do a ten year time skip here, as I believed it was what was best for my story. And to answer a review, this is a Legends based story, as I am a huge fan of the Legends stories. And they will be meeting Revan. I hope you like the update. Thanks to all those who have read, followed, favorited, and left kind and constructive reviews. Appreciate you all!

Harry Potter, also known as Hadrian Black, Hadrian Peverell, the Chosen One, the Savior of the Wizarding World, the King of the Mages and the Man-With-Too-Many-Titles sat at his desk dealing with the bane of all leaders: paperwork. As such, he didn't mind the approaching interruption that he sensed.

Hello, Hermione," Harry said without looking up from the report he was reading. Blaise and Parvati were really doing an excellent job with Karma Industries. They were making a fortune in the fashion and cosmetics industries as well as using their business to mine information from chatty socialites and politicians on Coruscant. It amazed Harry to no end how people dropped their guard while shopping or getting their hair done. And Parvati seemed to be thriving despite her recent breakup with Dean.

"One of these days you are going to tell me how you do that. And have you seen Ron? He didn't come back to our room last night. He usually doesn't disappear like that unless he is on a mission dealing with the Hutts that have been bothering us recently or recruiting orphans with magical potential, and I didn't think he was scheduled to go on one of those," Hermione said with a worried frown.

The Jedi Mages had not been idle over the last decade, and had started recruiting over the last two years. So far, they had only recruited Force sensitive orphans that also the magical gene in order to remain secrecy. So far two dozen orphans between the ages of four and fourteen had been brought to Kashyyk. All of them had been missed by the Jedi Order, and were overjoyed to be learning about both Magic and the Force in a magical castle, despite the restrictions that prevented them from exploring the planet. Everyone had pitched in to help take care of the orphans and teach them magic, and had all but been adopted into their dysfunctional family.

It also had the unforeseen effect of causing many of the married witches and wizards from wanting to have kids right away, citing the fact that they already had kids to care of. Only Harry and Ginny had their own child so far, with another on the way. Four year old James Sirius was adored by everyone in the castle, and was already starting to take after his namesakes if his uses of accidental magic was anything to go by. Draco had spent three days as a redhead, much to his horror and general amusement.

"He'd better not be on a mission. He promised to fulfill his godfather duties this weekend while Ginny gets some much needed rest. James is a handful even if you aren't eight months pregnant like she is. I know Ron's not with Hestia, Lee, and Angelina in the Outer Rim, as they left five days ago to investigate the rumors of a possible recruit. The only other currently active mission is centered around keeping an eye on the rumors of the strong presence of the Dark Side on Onderon. I sent the others to Ambria to talk to Jedi Master Thon, who is one of the four Jedi Masters outside of our own who are aware that we are not a myth. Hopefully he can tell us more," Harry said with a frown.

Harry had no problem sticking to Sirius and Croaker's cover story. In fact, he embraced the idea of being a Jedi Mage and taking leadership of a secret and mythical sect of Jedi trained to combat the Dark Side. Combating the forces of Darkness was something that they were good at, and his loved ones were much better protected than they were on Earth, especially since the expanded wards kept the aggressive and dangerous creatures miles away from Hogwarts. It would keep them hidden and safe from anyone or anything that intended to do them harm. And they were surrounded by people who were now well trained in both magic and the Force, so they were much better prepared and protected then they were in the last war. And their numbers were growing.

"Who did you send?" Hermione asked, curious as to who on the team Harry would trust with making contact with the Jedi since he wasn't sending Ron.

"I put Sirius in charge since Thon will know who he is. He is the only Jedi Mage he knows of, after all, since he isn't in on Croaker's secret. Apparently Thon is borrowing Ood's Holocron, which told him all about Sirius's adventures during the Great Hyperspace War as told to him by Odan-Urr. I sent Seamus, Michael, and Dennis with him as well," Harry responded.

"Are you sure Sirius can be trusted with something like this? His time in Azkaban, multiple wars, and more than eight centuries of isolation hasn't done the man any favors, and he wasn't exactly responsible before all that," Hermione asked in concern. She never had trusted Sirius due to his impulsive behavior and party animal lifestyle. She never had forgiven him for leaving Harry with Hagrid and the Dursleys instead of taking care of him as he should have.

"Yes, I am sure. Penelope cleared him for active duty years ago, as you know. And she studied the mind in the Department of Mysteries, so I trust her judgment. And Sirius has come a long way in the last ten years. I know you disagree with how Sirius lives his life, but I would trust Sirius with the lives of my children. Besides, he is very motivated by the vacation I promised him. He's been dying to go to back to Zeltros for months now," Harry replied, rolling his eyes at his godfather's love for the party planet of Zeltros.

Sirius had first visited there two years ago and had fallen in love with what Hermione called "a cesspool of hedonism and overindulgence". Ron was still in Hermione's doghouse after Sirius took him, Fred, George, Seamus, Dennis, and Michael there six months ago. It was certainly not one of Ron's most brilliant moments. Angelina had not been very pleased with her husband George either. He had managed to worm his way out of trouble much more successfully than Ron had, though.

"Well he better not take Ronald with him this time. If I even get a whiff of a Zeltros whore on him, I will castrate that ginger bastard!" Hermione raged.

Harry winced. While Ron had sworn up and down that he had resisted the pheromones that the Zeltrons gave off, Hermione hadn't believed him in the slightest. No one had forgotten how Ron was around Fleur's allure, and Fred had tactlessly mentioned that Zeltrons were a lot more difficult to resist then their dearly departed sister-in-law. And Fleur hadn't been trying to blast everyone with her allure like the women on Zeltros had. And Ron wasn't known for his mental fortitude. Fortunately, Harry had a shrewd idea where Ron was.

"I bet that Ron spent the night with his brothers. I thought I saw the twins scheming up something this morning, so they could have roped Ron into it," Harry reassured her.

Unfortunately, this did not reassure Hermione in the slightest. Her eyes narrowed as she walked off, muttering to herself about pranksters. Just as she did, a call came in from Padma over his personal HoloPad. Apparently Remus and Padma were almost finished with their new base on Endor, and she wanted to personally update him on their progress. The Shadowlands of Kashyyk had turned out to be a less than ideal place to raise children, despite being an excellent spot for a hidden base. Oh well. The new school on Endor would be safer anyway. Why wizards thought moving staircases were safe or practical was beyond Harry.

Ambria

Sirius sighed as he landed his ship, the Marauder, onto the surface of Ambria. He really didn't think this trip was necessary. The presence of the Dark Side on a planet didn't warrant this kind of alarm, in his opinion. There were lots of places where there was a Dark Side presence, but no one was making a fuss about them. Although Onderon did have the distinction of having people on it, so that was likely the concern, or so Sirius thought.

"Let's go. Thon lives right over the ridge there," Sirius told his three companions. Seamus, Michael, and Dennis nodded, before grabbing their lightsabers and disembarking the ship. As they passed over the ridge, they came across the remains of what appeared to be a battle. All four men immediately activated their lightsabers. Seamus crouched next to one of the bodies.

"I recognize this one. He's one of Bogga's enforcers. He was with the group that tried to rob us last year. And the one next to him I recognize from that pirate crew that we scared off a few months ago. What was the name of their leader again?" Seamus asked.

"Finhead Stonebone. Slimy little shit. Didn't think he had the balls to mess with Jedi. Bogga must have forced him into it. This may be what we need to get permission to take that slimy Hutt down for good," Sirius said with a savage grin at the thought. The Hutt has been making travel more difficult for them lately, and was on his last chance as far as Harry and Sirius were concerned. The Hutt had tried to kill Sirius more than once. The only reason Sirius hadn't gone after him yet is that Bogga's cronies had failed so miserably in their attacks against them. Even the tiny fur ball with the gorm worm had nearly gotten decapitated when he had tried to use a sneak attack with his poisonous pet a few weeks ago.

"Well, it looks like we missed the fight. Hope Thon and that new apprentice of his are alright," Seamus said. They had heard tell of a woman being spotted heading towards Ambria, and had correctly presumed that she was a Jedi in training. Although they were surprised at the rumor that she had a daughter, as Ambria was not the best place to raise a kid. Then again, they had no room to talk. Despite the protections around the castle, the Shadowlands of Kashyyk weren't very safe either.

"Look, there they are," Dennis said, pointing at a figure atop a large armored beast with a child in her lap. Only the beast wasn't really a beast at all. It was Jedi Master Thon, a member of a very secretive race from an unknown planet. His past was shrouded in mystery, but he was considered one of the wisest and most powerful Jedi in the Order.

"Greetings Master Thon. My name is Jedi Master Sirius Black, and these are my companions, the Jedi Knights Seamus Finnigan, Michael Corner, and Dennis Creevey. We have come to offer our assistance," Sirius said, bowing slightly at the famous Jedi Master.

Nomi Sunrider has been surprised to see the three men who were clearly Jedi on Ambria, especially so soon after the attempt on their lives by Bogga's henchmen. They were a welcome sight, however. Perhaps they would be able to tell her more about the Jedi Order on Ossus than the still-mysterious Master Thon had. However, when they had introduced themselves, Nomi had felt Thon's shock through the Force when the Jedi Master had introduced himself. Thon had clearly not been expecting them.

"Greetings, Master Black. It is a surprise to see you. Odan-Urr speaks fondly of you. He will be glad to see you, if you choose to come to Ossus with us," Thon said in his gravely, beast-like voice. They were all able to understand him though, thanks to their universal translators courtesy of Hermione and the Weasley twins.

"It would be good to see the old bookworm again. We will follow you there," Sirius said, nodding at the Jedi before turning around and walking back to the Marauder with Seamus, Michael, and Dennis in tow.

"You know those Jedi, Master Thon?" Nomi asked as she watched the four men leave.

"No, but I know of them. Their presence makes me think things on Onderon may be more dire than they appear," Thon said thoughtfully. He would say no more on the subject on their flight to Ossus.

Ossus

Seamus was extremely confused as he watched Sirius land the ship. The older man had been acting extremely strange since they left Ambria. They had stopped by the castle before coming to Ossus, and Sirius had come back wearing the strangest outfit that looked like it was a suit of armor that belonged to royalty. Katie had come with them as well. Apparently Luna, who was now a full-fledged seer, had said something. They had also had exchanged ships, wanting something more roomy and comfortable for the trip. The McGonagall's Pride would be more than up to that task.

While Sirius had told them on the way where he had gotten his undoubtedly expensive and lavish outfit, along with the history behind it, Seamus was worried that they were being pranked somehow. The idea that Sirius was a famous Jedi Master and a former Emperor of the Empress Teta System, which had been renamed after his wife, seemed rather unbelievable. The idea of Sirius running a entire system without getting it blown up seemed especially unlikely.

Sirius whistled as he stepped off the McGonagall's Pride and took in the Jedi establishments on Ossus. "Damn, they sure have improved on this place since I was here last. Got to give the old bookworm some credit there," he said with a grin.

As they walked towards Ossus, they could see that there was a gathering of sorts. The Jedi Master speaking was naming off the name of five Jedi Knights who were being sent to rescue Master Arca Jeth on Onderon. "Dace Diath, Shoaneb Culu, Qrrrl Toq, Kith Kark, and Nomi Sunrider..." the Jedi Master trailed off as he noticed Sirius, Seamus, Michael, Katie, and Dennis approaching. There was a collective jaw drop among those assembled as they recognized one of the legendary and heroic figures from both Jedi and Galactic history.

"Master Black, err, Emperor Caesar sir, what a pleasant surprise," the Jedi Master stammered as the crowd parted, letting them approach. The respected Jedi Master had been left like a stuttering school boy upon seeing the hero and ruler from the time of the Great Hyperspace War.

Sirius grinned at the stammering Jedi, whose words had caused the assembled Jedi to break out into whispers and statements of shock. "Thank you, Master Fan-Vlogg. It is good to be back on Ossus and amongst my fellow Jedi after all these years," Sirius said with a wide smile. Master Fan-Vlogg looked ready to faint in shock at the fact that Sirius Black knew his name. Sirius barely managed to refrain from bursting out into laughter at the sight. He hadn't had this much fun in years!

"I should have known that disturbance I felt in the Force meant that you had returned, Sirius. Only you could cause a scene like this," an ancient and powerful voice said as he approached them. The Draethos Jedi Master walked towards his old friend, depending on a walking stick as he made his way over to them. Three of his acolytes at the Great Library of Ossus followed behind them. One was a frowning female that looked like she had a stick shoved so far up her ass that she wouldn't even know where to start looking for it if she wanted to remove it.

"I have known a librarian or two that have said the same thing about you over the years, Odan-Urr," Sirius said with a grin, causing a few to gasp in outrage at the joke, the female acolyte among them. It was then that the Jedi assembled were treated to a sight not seen by anyone in almost a millennium. The normally stoic and emotionless Odan-Urr, the author of an entirely new Jedi Code that supported that way of thinking, burst into laughter.

The Draethos Jedi Master had wrote the code due to his long life span as a way of dealing with all he lost. The presence of one who knew even better than he did how that felt had always managed to have a positive effect on him. The fact that Sirius had managed to maintain his sense of humor after all these years was something that never failed to impress him over the centuries of written exchanges they had while Sirius was in isolation. He still had yet to figure out how that notebook that they wrote to each other in worked.

"It is good to see your wit has not dulled over the centuries, old friend," Odan-Urr said, putting his hand on Sirius's shoulder and embracing him.

"It is good to see you again, old friend. I would like to speak to you as soon as you are able. There is much we need to discuss, and I would love to be able to catch up," Sirius said.

"Agreed. Come with me to my office. I look forward to showing all we have built since you were last here," Odan-Urr said.

"I look forward to seeing it. Knowing you, this library of yours must be spectacular. Dennis, Seamus, Michael, Katie, please accompany the Jedi to Onderon. Show them what you can do," Sirius said smiling at the four younger Knights/Mages. Seamus, Michael, Katie, and Dennis simultaneously saluted Sirius.

"Yes, sir!" they said in unison. They had all immediately realized what was happening here. The way Sirius was handling his return to the galaxy and the introduction of the Jedi Mages wasn't a prank on them. No, the Jedi Order was being pranked. And the majority of them had no idea. It was hilarious seeing their reactions to their arrival, and it had taken a considerable amount of self-control to keep themselves from bursting into laughter. Apparently the arrival of the only living Jedi Master to kill multiple Sith Lords in single combat and the former Emperor of a entire Star System was a pretty big deal.

Onderon

As they boarded the ship headed to the Onderon system, introductions were made. And much to the chagrin of his fellow Mages, Seamus had been spending quite a bit of time with Sirius and had begun picking up some of his habits. Especially the ones involving flirting with any attractive woman within his line of sight and trying to get in their pants. And unfortunately, this process included cheesy pickup lines that the majority of the Mages believed should have died with the rest of their planet.

"I had heard that the Celestials were missing an angel, but I hadn't believed it until I saw you, milady. Seamus Finnigan at your service, milady, please allow me the honor of escorting you to the gates of heaven when this is all over," Seamus said to Nomi, flashing her a rather confident grin as he did. Nomi looked very uncomfortable as she flushed red. She was not ready to move on after her husband's death last year, and had no idea how to explain that. Fortunately, Michael noticed her discomfort.

"Oi, Seamus! Leave the nice Jedi alone. We've got work to do," Michael said as the ship took off. They were now all seated inside the comfortable cruiser that Sirius had loaned them for this mission. The McGonagall's Pride was a top of the line luxury cruise ship, designed by the brilliance of the Corellian shipyards and perfected with a little magic and ingenuity from Sirius and Dean. The dark-skinned Jedi Knight from Tattoine, Dace Diath seemed especially impressed by the ship, and was now peppering Michael with questions about its' design.

"Yeah Seamus, she doesn't seem to be interested in midgets and their terrible pick up lines. In fact, I'd imagine she thinks very little of them," Dennis said from his spot next to Kith Kark, who let out a snort at the pun. Seamus was 5'3 and was rather sensitive about his height, so he predictably sent a stinging hex at the leg of Dennis in retaliation. Unfortunately, this led to a barrage of questions about their powers and origins that the Mages were reluctant to gives lot of details on.

Ossus

Atris scowled as she approached her Master and his... friend. She did not like the mysterious Jedi Master who was making her Master act so out of character. She also didn't like the fact that Sirius Black had been behind the change in the Code that Odan-Urr had created to clarify the original Code. She had thought Odan-Urr had done an excellent job with the new code that read:

There is no emotion, there is peace

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge

There is no passion, there is serenity

There is no chaos, there is harmony

There is no death, there is the Force

She much preferred this to the Old Code which read:

Emotion, yet peace

Passion, yet serenity

Chaos, yet harmony

Death, yet the Force

Atris had been furious to discover that Sirius, along with her fellow historians and Jedi Masters Croaker and Goldstein, had convinced her Master that his changes would do significant damage to the future of the Order. They had apparently convinced them that this Code would make the Jedi strive to be emotionless drones, which was completely ridiculous in Atris's opinion. But Odan-Urr had agreed with them! And now the only surviving copy of the New Code was hidden in Atris's desk. Much of Odan-Urr's thoughts on the Code and how he now interpreted it were still in his office, but this outrage still burned in the white-haired Jedi Knight's mind.

Yet she schooled her features and swallowed her irritation as she approached Odan-Urr and the infuriating Sirius Black. "Master, is there anything I can get either of you?" Atris asked her Master and personal hero.

"I'm fine, Atris," the ancient Draethos Jedi Master said. But much to Atris's chagrin, Sirius opened his mouth.

"Yeah, could I get a glass of water and one of those delicious sandwiches they brought me earlier. Appreciate it Whitey, your dedication to your Master and his friends is to be applauded," Sirius said with a grin. Atris did not appreciate her new nickname or being asked to be a personal serving girl for someone who she already didn't like. She was a Jedi Knight, not a serving girl at a cantina on Nal Hutta!

Odan-Urr cut off Atris's response before she could start in on Sirius, however. "Please forgive Master Sirius. His time in isolation seems to have made him forget his manners. And he always did have the irritating habit of giving nicknames. Not even my own Master Ooroo or Master Memitt Nadill were spared from that," Odan-Urr said, glaring at Sirius slightly. Odan-Urr also momentarily wondered, and not for the first time, how the Empress Teta System had survived with him as Emperor. Upon further reflection, he decided to give Empress Teta the credit. Empress Teta was without a doubt a one-of-a-kind woman and ruler.

"Yeah, good old Master Squid and Master Frizard. Couldn't have asked for better Masters, could we old friend?" Sirius asked, his grin momentarily slipping from his face as he remembered the long-dead Jedi Masters who had taught them both so much. Atris took this moment to storm away with a huff.

"Indeed. I only hope that we prepared our students well enough for what they are about to face as our Masters did all those years ago," Odan-Urr said, thinking about the Jedi en route to Onderon.

"Agreed. If this Freedom Nadd truly did learn from a Sith that survived our little purge, you can bet that his spirit and descendants will be dangerous. We have already seen what the Dark Side is capable of, and I can only hope the Jedi and Republic forces on Onderon manage to survive the experience," Sirius said with a rather grim expression.

"Indeed, old friend. May the Force be with them," Odan-Urr said with sigh.

Onderon

Michael sighed as they neared the Onderon system. They would be pulling out of hyperspace very soon. The Jedi had been very inquisitive as to how they knew Sirius and what they had been learning. The Gotal Jedi Knight Kith Kark in particular wouldn't shut up. He regretted ever thinking that Sirius wasn't pranking them. The old asshole knew they would be the ones facing the inquisition, while Sirius sat and caught up with his old friend. On the bright side, it would give them an opportunity to show the Jedi what they could do, which would be fun.

It also helped that they were able to keep their origins mostly vague. They were a sect of Jedi founded over twenty thousand years ago on a primitive planet that lacked hyperspace travel but had a large number of Force sensitives. Merlin had set up a hyper gate with the help of a member of an ancient and powerful race* to return to Tython if needed. Their planet had been recently destroyed by an evil Sith Lord and his followers. The Sith Lord had been defeated by their leader, the adopted son of Sirius. But the Sith Lord's followers had gotten their revenge and made sure that their world and the majority of their people were destroyed. The idea that a Sith has been willing to doom an entire world out of petty revenge was rather shocking to the Jedi.

Michael explained that the survivors had escaped their home world via the recently rediscovered hyper gate left there millennia ago and setting down. Seamus was very careful to keep any hints about where that was to himself. Although he did try to give the impression that they had settled on Tython, where the hyper gate was allegedly located. The planet was located in the Deep Core and was extremely hard to reach, so it would serve them well as a decoy for the time being. They didn't want any visitors, especially since they typically got eaten by the local wildlife before they even got close. No one had yet to come close to finding the castle, and they all wanted to keep it that way, despite the fact that Kashyyk was only going to be their secondary base soon enough.

Most of the Jedi seemed to get the hint that Seamus, Michael, and Dennis didn't want to talk about their past after that particular revelation. The idea of a planet wiping themselves out with their own weapons was unfathomable to them. Not to mention how awful it must have been for them to lose almost everything they knew and loved. But Kith Kark missed all the signs. He seemed very interested in the fact that they had faced the equivalent of a Sith Lord and his acolytes and survived.

"So fighting Dark Side Adepts. What was it like?" Kith Kark asked Dennis eagerly, as Seamus and Michael had gotten tired of answering questions and was currently sitting silently across from the Mirakulan Shoaneb Culu and Nomi Sunrider, who were conversing quietly with Katie. Katie was especially intrigued as to how Mirakulans saw through the Force despite being born without eyes.

"I wouldn't know. I was fourteen when Harry fought and defeated the Dark Lord Voldemort, so I wasn't allowed to participate in the battle. My brother did, and he fought and died with honor. Truthfully, I have yet to fight in a battle like this. Today is a first for me. Even in our confrontations with pirates, I did not get to ignite my lightsaber for anything other then deflecting blaster bolts," Dennis said honestly.

Four of the five Jedi did a double take at hearing this, including Shoaneb. His words had managed to distract her from her conversation with Nomi and Katie. While it was not unheard of for a Jedi to serve many years without using their lightsabers in combat, they had not expected it from an apprentice of Sirius Black. From what they had heard of him, they had thought he had been spending the last several centuries fighting evil wherever it may hide. They would have been shocked to hear the truth of how Sirius had actually been spending the majority of the last several centuries.

"I thought that Master Black was sending Jedi experienced in fighting the Dark Side," the Nazzar Prince and Jedi Knight Qrrrl Toq said with a slight frown. While extremely confident in his and his fellow Jedi's skills, he had considered the chance to fight alongside those who had actually fought against the Dark Side as a considerable advantage that he welcomed.

"Dennis is fully capable of fighting against the Dark Arts, despite none of his experience coming on the battlefield. He has had plenty of training. But if you want experience, we have that in spades," Seamus interjected indignantly. An unspoken agreement passed between Michael and Seamus, and they unfastened the charmed pendants that hung around their neck that none of the Jedi had noticed before.

Michael had a long, white scar stretching from his right temple that ran down his cheek all the way to his jaw. His arms were covered in scars that appeared to have been the result of being tortured by a sharp object of some sort. Seamus had several burns on his neck and arms, as well as a round puncture wound on his right shoulder blade. He had plenty of smaller scars as well. He was even missing his pinky and ring finger on his left hand! The Jedi were stunned by the amount of damage that had been done on their bodies.

"Yeah, the rest of our bodies aren't much better. I'm pretty sure most of you have no idea what a battle against the things so evil it will haunt you for every step you take looks like. Fighting the forces of evil isn't something that we do for fun. We do it because we refuse to stand by while the innocent suffer, no matter the cost. Because there is always a cost, whether it be physical, mental, or spiritual. The question is, are you willing to pay it, whether it be in life or death?" Michael asked, looking at the Jedi challengingly.

"Of course we are! We will always protect the innocent, no matter the cost. We are Jedi Knights, after all!" Qrrrl Toq proclaimed loudly.

"Good. Then we need to make a plan. As a wise man once said, "Those who fail to prepare are prepared to fail," Michael said firmly.

The Jedi looked at each other before Dace Diath spoke. "What do you have in mind?" he asked.

"I have a couple of ideas. Nomi, I hear that you are proficient in battle meditation. That's a huge advantage for us right there if we play our cards right, especially if the Dark Side is as strong on Onderon as I suspect it is. Is it true that you can use battle meditation and fight off enemies with your lightsaber," Michael said, looking at the redheaded female Jedi Knight with a rather impressed expression.

"Yes, I can, Nomi said, looking rather taken aback at the impressed looks on her fellow Jedi's faces. She hadn't realized how unusual the skill of battle meditation was, and how impressive it was that she was as skilled as she was considering that she had only been a Jedi for a few months now.

Seamus let out a low whistle. "Damn, that's impressive. Most Jedi Masters couldn't pick up that much skill in battle meditation as quickly as you did. That'll come in handy. I think we should focus on finding the other Jedi Knights as quickly as possible. They are probably still fighting for their lives down there, and they will be instrumental in taking the fight to King Ommin, seeing as they know where he is," Seamus said.

"Agreed. Finding Ulic and the other Jedi is our first priority. Let's link up with them and take Onderon back for the rightful rulers of Onderon and send that spirit on a one way trip back to the afterlife," Michael said to general cheer and applause.

When they dropped out of hyperspace, they were met with the sight of the Republic fleet engaging the Naddists in a heated battle above the planet. Katie had to quickly jerk the controls of the ship to the left to avoid being shot out of the sky by a Naddist ship. As they probed the surface for any sign of the Jedi, Seamus managed to lock on to the radio signal that Jedi Knight Ulic Qel-Droma had used to transmit his plea for help.

"Qel-Droma's signal is coming from that primitive fortress. It looks like it under siege! We better get down there!" Seamus said. Katie managed to find a place to land the ship, and the brave Jedi Knights wastes no time charging into the fray, using the Force as a war shield against enemy firepower like they had been taught. The Jedi Masters were rather insistent on teaching them that technique before sending them into battle. The Mages had been taught the same technique by Garnoo, the late Neti Jedi Master who had taught the Mages all about the Jedi and the Force alongside Algernon Croaker and Penelope Goldstein.

As soon as the four Mages stepped off of the ship, they immediately felt the effects of the Dark Side on Onderon, causing them to pause their advance into battle. It is safe to say that it did not bring back pleasant memories, and caused Seamus to start swearing.

"Why the bloody fuck does it feel like someone released a fucking dementor here?" Seamus growled angrily. To say that Seamus was not happy by this was like saying Peeves was only slightly obnoxious. He immediately started using Occlumency, which they all knew, to shut out the darkness that was sapping at their will and any positive feelings much like the dementors did. And all of them had run into a dementor before, and Seamus, Katie and Michael had done so more than once. On the bright side, at least this time they wouldn't have to worry about reliving their worst memories or getting their souls sucked out.

Or so they hoped.

So it was four very irritated Jedi Mages that ignited their lightsabers and charged into battle. Seamus hacked apart a archaic looking droid that somehow was giving off a dark aura. Just as he did, a Naddist tank fired its weapons and managed to punch through Kith Kark's shield and kill him without warning. But just as Kith passed into the Force, Ulic Qel-Droma led his fellow Jedi and the Beast Riders out of the fortress and into battle!

"Ulic! What's the matter with you guys? Why weren't you fighting?" Dace asked as Ulic engaged a droid nearby.

"The Dark Side has been eating away at our life force. Sith Magic at work. But for some reason, I'm feeling a lot stronger now that my fellow Jedi are here," Ulic replied, as he finished off a couple of droids. The arrival of the Jedi and the Beast Riders under the command of Lord Modon Kira and his son, the rightful King of Onderon, Odon Kira, the battle began to turn in the favor of the Jedi. But the forces of darkness had a few more tricks up their sleeves...

Underneath Iziz, Ommin and the spirit of his ancestor, the Dark Lord of the Sith Freedon Nadd, stood in front of a stasis chamber that had long been forgotten by the living. But Ommin had found it a few years ago, if only by chance. The occupant was the son of the greatest soldier and general that had ever served Freedon Nadd. His father had left their service after Freedon's death and his son's supposed death, and had secretly returned to Yavin IV and began building the Massassi there into an army of Sith minions that hadn't been seen since the Great Hyperspace War.

But neither Dark Side user knew that. What they did know is that before he had left, he had a son who he had trained in the Force and in Sith Magics that had made them both feared as the Butchers of Onderon. Stories about both father and son had been told to naughty children as a warning to behave. Even King Ommin had learned to fear them as a child, and only in his current desperation and the persuasion of Freedon Nadd had convinced him to free him.

The great soldier had been wounded in battle by a Beast Rider who had engaged him via suicidal dive, and a scheming descendant had put him into stasis after healing him in order to blackmail his sibling into handing him the throne. But he was killed in battle before he could reveal his plans, and his schemes died with him. The soldier was presumed dead, and since Freedon Nadd had died a few months earlier, his father left, deciding that Freedon's descendants weren't worthy of his service.

But his son was alive and was the only hope they had to survive the Jedi forces. The presence of the Jedi Mages had caught Freedon Nadd of guard and had made him concerned about their chances. He knew how powerful they were. And despite the large number of dark side acolytes on Onderon, they would be no match for the Jedi Knights and three Jedi Mages. But the figure now kneeling before them had learned at the feet of Freedon Nadd and his father for almost a century, and had devoted himself to the Dark Side of the Force. He could restore the power of the Dark Side to Onderon.

"The Jedi and our enemies are at our gates. Show the Jedi why you are remembered as the Butcher of Onderon, and remind them of the power of the Dark Side. Reclaim my daughter from the clutches of our enemies and claim her as your bride. Restore order to Onderon in the name of Freedon Nadd! Rise, Lord Dolohov, heir to the throne of Onderon, and future Dark Lord of the Sith!" King Ommin proclaimed.

Victor Dolohov bowed, and gave a sadistic smile underneath his infamous armor that was still remembered and feared centuries later as he set off to do just that. Ommin returned to his quarters. He had a pesky Jedi to take care of. Battle meditation was a pain to deal, and his heir would undoubtedly have no problem restoring order with her out of the way.

Nomi winced as she sat up and looked up at Ulic Qel-Droma and Michael Corner. She had not been expecting the attack that had come unexpectedly through the Force while she was using her battle meditation. The Dark Side on Onderon was stronger than she thought.

"I see no wounds, what happened?" Michael asked in concern for the Jedi that he could not help admit to himself was rather beautiful. But he was really trying to ignore that feeling, along with his growing admiration for her strength and character.

"I'm alright. Someone very powerful lunged at me through the Force when I tried to meditate the fight. I saw him- an emaciated man on a metal armature," Nomi said, wincing slightly. Both men could see that she had been affected by the attack. But she appeared to be fine as she stood, and neither man doubted that she would be accompanying them into the city.

"That'll be King Ommin. But now that you are here, we have the strength to strike together at the source of evil," Ulic declared, glaring at the city of Iziz in the distance.

"Agreed. We should get moving. I doubt that this King Ommin will give up easily. We're going to have a fight on our hands once we get into Iziz," Michael said. And both Jedi got a feeling that he was right about that. So the Jedi regrouped and started heading towards Iziz with the Beast Riders following. Seamus did take Kith Kark's body and placed it alongside the rest of the dead inside the fortress before they did, as no Jedi should be left to be devoured by the local wildlife. He deserved better.

Unfortunately, Michael was correct in his assessment of King Ommin. As they approached the subterranean lair where the apprentices of Arca Jeth could sense their master being tortured, an army of around one hundred darksiders stood defending the entrance. And at its head stood an individual covered in intimidating armor, and had a dark side aura that felt more powerful than King Ommin had to the horror of Ulic and Nomi. But it was the reactions of the natives of Onderon behind them that made them realize what they were up against.

"The Son of the Butcher has returned! Ommin has summoned him from the Void! We are doomed!" a soldier behind Modon Kira wailed in despair.

"Hold fast men! This is a trick of the Dark Side! My ancestor killed him over two centuries ago. Do not be fooled by Ommin's tricks!" Modon Kira yelled, trying to keep his men from fleeing in fear.

A deep laugh came from behind the helmet of the imposing man. "Your ancestor never understood the power of the Dark Side, which is why he failed to kill me. For centuries, I have slumbered. But I have been awakened, and I will end the line of the Beast Rider who wounded me, and restore order to Onderon in the name of Freedon Nadd! Avada Kedavra!" the man shouted. And without warning, he pulled out a stick and a jet of green light shot out struck Modon Kira in the chest, and he fell dead.

Chaos ensued. While a few men fled, most of them followed Odon Kira into battle, eager to avenge their fallen leader and restore his son to the throne. The Jedi engaged the Dark Side acolytes, despite the darkness sapping at their strength and their fear. They had felt the darkness of the green light, and had felt the life being snuffed out of Modon Kira. He had simply ceased to exist. The idea that someone could kill with a couple of words was terrifying to them. But they fought on with a grim determination, hoping that the Jedi Mages were capable of defeating this ancient Dark Mage that wielded magic and the Force as they did.

The four Jedi Mages dueled the mysterious Dark Mage as his kind would come to be called, but despite being outnumbered four to one, he was still able to match them and hold his ground, fighting them to a standstill. The fierce duel allowed the Jedi to continue to advance and defeat their adversaries, giving them the opportunity to enter the lair of King Ommin and confront and defeat him. The battle stopped briefly as they felt the death of King Ommin through the Force.

"You may have won the battle today, but as you will discover someday, you have already lost the war," the armored Dark Mage said, and Disapparated with a crack as four spells flew past where he had been standing.

Seamus swore, and Dennis slumped over in exhaustion. "I think it's safe to say that we know what galaxy Dolohov got dropped in," Michael said, having recognized the trademark purple spell the former Death Eater favored. It was rather hard for him to miss it as it zoomed past him.

"No shit. And I'd wager that Travers, Rookwood, and Greyback ended up here as well. And if what Death said is true, they're probably still alive. And having kids as well," Seamus snarled. The Jedi Mages knew that the former Death Eaters could be anywhere in the Galaxy by now. And who knew what they had been doing in the time they had been there?

Dxun, a week later

The Jedi had spent much of the week restoring order with the help of King Oron and Queen Galia. They finally managed to bury the remains of King Ommin, Queens Amonoa, and Freedon Nadd on Onderon's fourth moon, Dxun, in a fortified tomb in the jungle. This time, there was no attempt by the Naddists to reclaim their remains. The Jedi Knights stood and watched alongside Jedi Master Arca Jeth, as well as the King and Queen. The four Jedi Mages were there as well, having volunteered to stay and help the Jedi with the cleanup as an excuse to search for the mysterious Dark Mage that had escaped the battle.

"Master Arca, what did Freedon Nadd mean when he said the Jedi had lost?" Ulic Qel-Droma asked his master as they watched the entombment process.

"The Dark Mage we fought said the same thing. Master Sirius mentioned that he might be referring to some ancient Sith prophecies foretelling the return of the Dark Lords of the Sith, which seems rather ominous if they are true," Michael said. He had just returned from Kashyyk, as he had gone with Sirius to report to Harry about what had happened. Harry wasn't a fan of prophesies about Dark Lords for obvious reasons, and had been none to pleased to hear that he might have to deal with another one. The Mages were all pretty concerned, actually.

Harry was taking the prophecy seriously though, as he immediately moved their operations to their new base on Endor and started sharpening his dueling skills. Kashyyk was being abandoned by everyone but a few dozen house elves, the House ghosts, and the centaur herd they had smuggled through the Veil under the command of Firenze and Bane. They would be taking care of both the base and the magical creatures that they had saved from the destruction of their world. Peeves had also been convinced to stay as the guardian of the castle, something which he had accepted with rather terrifying enthusiasm. Fortunately, the Bloody Baron had promised to keep him in check.

"Master Sirius is correct. These prophecies chill my blood. There may be something to them, but the future depends on us. We Jedi must cling to the light. The light is our strength and our ally. With the light of the Force, the Jedi will stand forever. Remember Ulic, where there is light, there can be no darkness," Arca told his former apprentice.

"True. The only problem is, darkness will always find a place to hide in some corner of the Galaxy. It can never be snuffed out completely. Because unfortunately, there will always be darkness in the galaxy. There will always be those who seek power no matter the cost, whether they be Hutts and criminals or a power hungry force sensitive falling into the dark arts," Michael responded.

Arca frowned slightly but conceded that the young Jedi Mage had a point. But he steadfastly believed that the Jedi would always be there to combat the darkness when it comes out into the light.

AN: Hope you enjoyed the chapter! Some of Sirius's past is revealed, and it will definitely continue to be relevant in the future. I hope to do a one or two chapter short story about his adventures, but it is on the back burner for now as I focus on this story and the Adventures of Krios Black, as well as reallife. And the magical world is growing, as they are recruiting in secret and adopting those who have no one. The magical gene will be explained in more detail soon, but it's basically a gene that you either have or you don't. And you don't have to be Force-sensitive to have it either.

Yeah, Dolohov survived and had a kid. Those two will be a problem soon enough. The fates of Travers, Rookwood and Greyback will be left up in the air for a while though. But they're out there, and they'll have a role to play in distant future. Also, please keep in mind that it is typically hard for the average human to stay loyal to their partner over a decade. Imagine doing so over the several centuries they will be living. Harry will probably have a mulligan if he wanted to, as his wives are already okay with sharing the savior and leader of the Wizarding world, and they completely adore him. But being Harry, he won't do that anyway. And Neville is Neville, so he won't have any problems with a wandering eye. But the rest might have problems as you can see.

I always thought that it must be terrible to live for a thousand years and only have a tree that happens to be a Jedi Master remaining from your childhood. Not exactly the best source of comfortconsidering Ood Bnar is a member of a species used to dealing with this, so the idea that he wrote the more restricting and absolute version of the Jedi Code as a way to cope seems quite possible. Atris is a Jedi Master from the Revan storyline, and is pretty much the same as she is there. She was the one who pushed for the Jedi to adopt Odan-Urr's code in his honor and got a spot on the Jedi Council for it. She's not a fan of the Jedi Mages, and will oppose them every chance she gets.

Luna being a Seer is not an original idea, and it makes sense for this story. Speaking of making sense, so does a new base. It's best not to put all your eggs in one basket, especially on a dangerous area of Kashyyk, and they'll have several small bases in the Outer Rim in the future as well. I will be doing some story building as well as character building on that in the next chapter before I get back to the main storyline I am following.

The legacy of Freedon Nadd hasn't been completely destroyed, as Victor Dolohov and a couple of others will continue to cause havoc in the galaxy. You'll find out what happens next before the end of the month. Thanks for reading! I
