A/N: Let's get a few things out of the way before we can begin.
1. If you don't know by the summary, Part 6 does not exist in this universe, the only original character from Stone Ocean present in this story is Jolyne. So Dio never had a diary and whatnot.
2. I know that there are many returning characters from part 3, especially part 4, but this story isn't really about them. You'll see in future chapters that this story will really be about my own original characters and their own Stands, (I've made 20+ original Stands for this fanfiction).
3. This will be updated every Friday with no exceptions. Doesn't matter if it's a holiday or not. So expect a new chapter every Friday without any breaks until the story is finished. If I don't post on a Friday, then assume I'm dead. Or my internet's down. You choose.
4. Lastly, there is a bit of cursing in this fanfiction, but there will be no slurs or f words. Enough rambling, enjoy and feel free to comment, I will respond to all the comments I can, so feel free to ask questions.

Episode 29: The Wall Part 1
Jotaro, Jolyne, and Portobello stepped off the plane. Tenmei and Ally greeted them at the airport.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Portobello Belle," Tenmei said, "And you too, Jolyne. I've heard that you two are the reason that Jotaro was able to survive that Stand attack."
"Kakyoin!" Portobello yelled, hugging Tenmei, "I haven't seen you in ages, buddy! How are you? How's the wife and daughter?" Portobello looked at Ally and gasped, "Don't tell me you're cheating on your wife with this girl, are you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Tenmei said, "I haven't been married or had a daughter. And Ally is my girlfriend."
"Oh right!" Portobello said, "I must've mistaken you for someone else, silly me!"
"Just ignore Portobello," Jotaro said, "Let's go."
"Right," Tenmei said as he led them to the car. Tenmei and Ally sat in the driver's seat while Jolyne, Jotaro, and Portobello sat in the back.
"Hey, where's Joanne?" Jolyne asked, "I haven't seen her since we fought those two Stand users in Morioh two months ago.
"We wouldn't have been able to fit everyone in the car if she came along," Tenmei said, "Plus she's having lunch with her girlfriend right now."
"Girlfriend?" Jolyne asked, "Who is it?"
"Her name is Kenna Fletcher," Tenmei said, "I'm sure your father has heard of her."
"I have," Jotaro said, "But I never imagined she would be this close to Joanne."
"I was surprised too at first," Tenmei said, "Especially since I found out the day Joanne was taken out of the hospital. But I learned to roll with it."
"Man, I can't wait to see her again," Jolyne said, "And now I really wanna meet this 'Kenna Fletcher' too."
"What about the kid, Hozier?" Jotaro asked, "Where is he right now?"
"Don't worry about him," Ally said, "June's watching over him while we're gone."
"His Stand," Jotaro said, "You're positive that you know all of its capabilities?"
"Take me to Church," Tenmei said, "That's what Hozier decided to call it. I had the Speedwagon Foundation run some tests. So far any objects we've used have perfectly reflected off of the mirror with no harm to Hozier. The cracks that form on his mirror seem to be able to cut through anything."
"Can he control where the cracks appear?" Jotaro asked.
"Not exactly," Tenmei said, "He can determine the size and general location, but the shape of the crack seems to be random."
"Interesting," Jotaro said, "And there hasn't been a record of his family or how he got this ability?"
"His parents are confirmed dead," Tenmei said, "They died in a restaurant. I highly suspect they've been murdered. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with their bodies whatsoever. It's hard to tell who killed them, but it could've been Dianne. She has a Stand named Uncontrollable Urge that can put whatever it eats in someone's stomach. If Greta somehow got a strand of their DNA, I'm sure the Stand would affect them even from thousands of kilometers away."
"I'm not sure," Ally said, "I don't think Dianne would kill two people like that. Her whole purpose for ending the Joestar bloodline is because she thinks misfortune befalls them. No matter what, there will be tragedy caused by them. It's outside of her character to kill two people like that."
"Then who killed them?" Tenmei asked, "And why?"
Nobody answered the question, they sat in silence as Tenmei kept driving towards Morioh.
...
Six days earlier
Greta sat in her Van Fleet, sitting on one of its soft cousins, reading a book. Only a couple of hours had passed since the assault on Morioh. As part of the plan, Dianne had said that if she didn't return with the others after three hours then Greta would fly above Morioh with Van Fleet to look for them. Greta closed her book when she heard someone enter Van Fleet.
"Dianne, is that you?
"Greta…" Dianne walked into the room Greta was in.
"What's wrong? Did you do it? Are Joanne Jones and Josuke Higashikata dead?"
Dianne crumbled to the ground, tears falling from her face. Greta rushed towards her, trying to comfort her, "Hey it's okay," she said, "Tell me what happened."
"Khan is dead," Dianne said in a shaky voice, "So are Cliff and Miller."
"What?" Greta said in surprise, "What about Clayton and Eaden? Were they successful in setting Dodson free?"
Dianne shook her head, "Dodson's probably dead too. And Eaden and Clayton betrayed us. They're the reason that Cliff and Miller are dead. Another thing. Do you remember that Speedwagon Foundation officer that killed my brother?"
"Binns?" Greta asked, "You told me that was the name on his nametag. You told me not to forget that name."
"Right. He was there too. In Morioh. We had always suspected that he had a Stand since he was the one that spotted Voltaire. He activated his Stand on me. He called it The Space Between."
"And? What did it do?"
"He took away my Red Nightmare. By holding his breath, my Stand was gone. I was able to escape out of pure luck. If I wasn't lucky, I'd be dead right now. I managed to get Amplifier to bring Khan's, Miller's, and Cliff's bodies outside of Van Fleet one at a time before arriving here myself."
"What about Dodson?"
Dianne shook her head, "I tried to get her too. I assumed she died near that Speedwagon Foundation prison. But her body had already been taken by them. She was gone."
"Ally and June betrayed us?" Greta said, "Are you sure?"
"I'm positive. Clayton and Eaden were helping out Kakyoin and the others. They were trying to kill me too.'
Greta shook her head in disbelief, "Them too, huh? Kenna, June, and Ally… They're not long for this world, are they?"
"I'm afraid not," Dianne said as Red Nightmare, in the shape of Elastic Band, brought the bodies of Khan, Miller, and Cliff. The Stand wrapped fully around their bodies to conceal their faces.
"So what do we do now?" Greta asked, "We can't go back now. What if The Wall—"
"No, we're heading back," Dianne said, "I'll talk to Moure."
Greta didn't say a word. She nodded and Van Fleet rose in the air before flying away from Morioh.
...
"We're here," Greta said.
Dianne looked out of one of Van Fleet's windows and saw the mansion. The roof and part of the top floor had still been destroyed from the battle two months ago, but the rest was in good condition. Greta parked Van Fleet outside of the mansion and the two walked inside.
"Go get The Wall," Dianne said, "And then stay in our room. I don't want you to see what's going to happen."
"But Dianne…"
"Please Greta. I love you. Please wait in our room, I'll be up soon."
Greta sighed, "Why are you so stubborn?" she kissed her wife, "Don't keep me waiting."
"Wouldn't dream of it," Dianne said with a smile.
Greta went into the elevator and left to the top floor, leaving Dianne alone as six men slowly descended the stairs.
"Ah, you guys are here already," Dianne said, "I had just sent Greta to go fetch you."
"Cut the bullshit, Dianne," one of the men said, "Where are the others? How come Miran didn't call us when the mission was completed. You did complete the mission, right?"
"No," Dianne said, "Clayton and Eaden betrayed us and everyone else except for me and Greta are dead."
"I see," that man said, "And did you at least manage to kill the traitors? Or even Kakyoin or Fletcher? Hell, did you eliminate Josuke?"
"No,"
"So what you're saying is that you failed in every way possible?"
"Yes, that is correct,"
The man walked up to Dianne and slapped her in the face, "You didn't reveal our stands to them, did you?"
"Of course not,"
The man slapped her again, "You didn't give them any hints on how to defeat us, right?"
"Of course not,"
This time, the man punched Dianne's face, almost making her fall back. "Useless," he muttered, "You're useless! If you weren't his daughter, we would've gotten rid of you already. Do you understand that? You and your wife."
"Don't you dare threaten Greta," Dianne said as she faced the man, her nose and lip bleeding, "You may think you're tough shit, David Gil Moure. But let me tell you something. Without me, you're nothing. You guys rely on me to do shit that you can't be bothered to do yourselves! If you're all so pissed about my 'failure', then get your asses over to Morioh and kill them all yourselves!"
"I will not take backtalk, Dianne," The man named David Gil Moure said, "We didn't go to Morioh ourselves because we trusted you to do one simple thing, Dianne! One goddamn thing! Eliminate the Joestar bloodline! But clearly, you can't be trusted!"
Dianne wanted to tell him off, but her mouth wouldn't move. Her entire body couldn't move. Strings could be seen coming out of all her joints as they rose up into the ceiling. Two hands appeared above her head with the strings coming out of their fingertips.
"You have no authority over us, Dianne," David said, "You can't do anything to us. But we can do whatever the hell we want to you."
One of the men moved his arm and the air around Dianne slowly hardened and began to crush her.
"We're nothing without you?" David continued, "No, you're nothing without us."
Dianne tried to use Voltaire to go back ten seconds and be free, but her Stand just stood idly next to her, unmoving. A feather with an Egyptian hieroglyph engraved on it stuck to the Stand.
"Do you understand your situation at all, Dianne?" David said, "What's stopping us from getting rid of you? Go on, tell us, we'd love to hear."
Dianne tried again to open her mouth, but her entire body stayed immobile.
"What a shame," David said, "She's lost her brash personality. What's the matter, Dianne? Cat got your tongue? We could remove any further trace of your existence with a snap of our fingers." David snapped his fingers and Dianne could no longer see anything. Her eyes only saw darkness.
Dianne could hear a crunching noise almost as if something was eating stone. She knew what was making the noise, but couldn't see it.
"Do you see where I'm getting at?" David said with a chuckle, "Well, perhaps 'see' isn't the correct word. He took out a polaroid camera and took a picture of Dianne. Dianne heard the camera flash and instantly began to panic. David could hear her frightful whimpers.
"That's it," he said, "that's what I wanted to hear. You guys can release her, I think she's learned her lesson."
Almost instantly, the crunching noise was gone, and so were the strings and dense air keeping Dianne still. The feather was off of Voltaire who turned into a red mist and disappeared. Dianne's eyesight came back.
"I'm going to hold onto this," David said, holding up the picture of Dianne that the polaroid had printed, "You know, just in case you try something. You're free to go, Dianne."
Dianne almost ran to the elevator. Once the door closed and she felt it lifting her up to the third floor, she crumbled to her knees and took big gulps of air from the fear in her body. The elevator dinged and the door opened to reveal the moonlit third floor. Dianne steadied her breathing as she regained her composure. She stepped out of the elevator and walked down the hallway next to the stairs. This had been where she had fought Joanne and the others two months ago. The blood stains from Hol Horse and Polnareff's deaths remained next to the stairs. Dianne felt the cool evening breeze from the open roof as she walked up to the door to her room.
As she reached for the door handle, she realized that her hand was shaking from fear. She struggled to get a good grip on the handle but finally managed to open the door. Greta was laying down on the double-sized bed. Her head perked up when she heard the door open and saw Dianne walking in.
"You're bleeding!" She said as she got off the bed and walked toward her wife.
"I-I'm fine," Dianne wiped the blood off her face with her hand.
"Here," Greta said, pulling out a handkerchief, "Use this." She wiped Dianne's face, letting her blood soak up the handkerchief. Dianne grabbed Greta's arm, her hand still shaking.
"Dianne…" Greta looked at her wife worriedly, "What happened?"
"They don't trust me anymore. Moure took a picture of me. He can get rid of me whenever he wants"
"Dianne, he's just doing that to scare you, he still needs you."
Dianne shook her head as she approached Greta and hugged her, "No, they're gonna get rid of me, Greta. They used their Stands on me, all of them. They were about to get rid of me, Greta… I can't leave this world. Not yet at least. I know I'll have to go soon, but I don't want to leave you so soon…"
Greta held her tight, "I don't want you to leave yet either. But that's the hard part about our job. Once it's completed, only one Joestar will remain."
"I want at least a couple more months after this is over. I want to spend that time with you. I'm not prepared to have everything end right now."
"I'm not prepared either… In reality, I don't want you to die at all. I want you to stay with me for the rest of our lives."
"You know I can't do that. The Joestar bloodline needs to end."
"But what if there are more of them outside of Joanne, Jolyne, Jotaro, and Josuke? How can you be so certain that Dio didn't have any other kids? What if Joseph had another affair? If you die, and there's still more Joestars out there, then all this work would have been for nothing."
"That'll be The Wall's problem, I don't want to deal with any of this shit anymore. You're the only reason I can put up with any of this anymore. I can't stand being constantly threatened and scared shitless by The Wall. I have no authority over them, they won't listen to me. They treat me like a child who's constantly getting in their way. And the constant threats make me want to cry."
"Then cry. Let it out. It's okay, I'm here for you." Greta guided Dianne over to the bed where she sat down. She had Dianne sit down next to her, and pulled her head onto her lap, "Tell me everything, Dianne, let it all out."
Dianne stopped holding her tears back, "I was scared today, Greta. Back in Morioh I actually thought I was gonna die. I never realized how terrifying that is to feel. The last time I felt that was when I fought Kakyoin and the others in this mansion. But back then I had already thought you were dead. You're my world, Greta. I had nothing left to live for. But I'm scared of dying. I'm beyond scared. This feeling is eating away at my stomach and makes me feel like throwing up. I can't take it anymore. Every time I'm not around you, I'm scared. I'm not sure if I want to continue doing any of this. But I know it's already too late for me to turn back. So many people have died because of me. God, I'm such a hypocrite. I've killed and attempted to kill, but I'm too scared to die myself. I don't know what's wrong with me. I've known that I would die for the past four years, but now that my time might actually come to an end, I can't handle it. All the constant threats from The Wall and the close call from today have stirred me up so much. I just want to cry and hide. I just want to cower from everybody…"
Greta listened to her wife's words carefully. She wasn't surprised that Dianne was going through this. She had anticipated something like this would happen for the past year. She slowly weaved her hand through Dianne's hair, letting her know that she was listening and that she understood.
"Dianne," she said with a gentle voice, "This was your decision. I wasn't a fan of it at first, but you somehow managed to convince me to not be sad. So let me say this. When it's your time to go, I'll go with you. We'll go together, that way we can spend the afterlife together. Our time is limited, so let's make the most of it. We haven't gone on a vacation in a while. After this is over, we could go to Paris for a little bit, or maybe even Hawaii. We can take some time for ourselves first. It doesn't have to end just yet. I understand that you're scared, Dianne. I'm scared too. But if we go away together, nobody can hurt us. Not The Wall, not anybody. It'll just be me and you forever."
"I'd like that," Dianne closed her tear-filled eyes as her wife stroked her hair, "I'd like that a lot."
"Then we'll do that. The Wall will take care of the Joestars and we can go have our vacation."
"Should we rely on them, Greta? If they want the Joestars gone just as badly as I do, then why did they send me and the others to attack Morioh instead of going themselves?"
"I don't know. But with Stand abilities like theirs, the Joestars will be finished," Greta paused and gave out a small sigh, "And probably Kenna, June, and Ally as well. They're not gonna make it, are they?"
"It all depends on if they get in the way. But knowing them, it's almost certain."
"You think we'll all be reunited in the afterlife?"
"I hope so. I want to see my brother again." Dianne attempted to raise her head off of Greta's lap but was stopped.
"No, don't get up," Greta said, still stroking her wife's hair, "Let's stay like this for a bit longer."
Dianne smiled and closed her eyes.
...
David Gil Moure faced the other five men, "Dianne has put us in a situation worse than when we started. Not only were our forces depleted in that failed assault, but our enemies have more allies than they'd had before. It's time that we take initiative. Jotaro could be cleared from the hospital any day now. Now that we know that Dianne can't be trusted to do anything, it's time for us to make a plan. We're going to have to split them up and pick them off in my pocket universe." David pulled out the polaroid, "We need to fill up the family album and initiate part one of my ability. But I'm going to need all your Stands for that. This is our biggest mission, and we can't afford to make mistakes. We have the advantage of knowing their abilities. With a few weeks of testing our abilities on Dianne who will use her Red Nightmare to replicate the enemy's Stands, we'll be ready."
The five other men cheered and nodded in agreement.
"This will be the first mission where all of us will be required," David continued, "So we're going to have to learn how to use our Stands in sync. How to exploit our abilities for the better under any situation. The ideal goal is for you five to split our enemies up while I prepare the family album. But with so many enemies, we don't know what could happen. We should be prepared to fight by ourselves, with a partner, or with a team. If we don't give the enemy any openings, then we'll win. Let's get started."
The five men all brought out their Stands, they were ready to push themselves to their absolute limit to be prepared for anything. They were all determined to end this once and for all.
...
Three weeks later
A lot had changed in Morioh. Joanne and Kenna's hotel room had been upgraded. Instead of two beds with a meter of space in between, the two shared a single double-sized bed. They were nervous to propose the idea to Tenmei, but he happily accepted. He was planning on doing the same with Ally now that she had moved into his room. June volunteered to stay with Hozier. She had grown fond of the young boy ever since they had met.
"Your Stand and mine are similar," she had told him, "We can protect ourselves and others with them. We can stop attacks coming our way. We're going to save lives."
Ever since then, the two had been getting along very well. While June was enjoying her stay in Morioh. Ally seemed tired all the time, but was happy to be dating Tenmei again. Jolyne had made good friends with Kenna and often hung out. She did serve as Joanne's wingman and often laughed at Abstract's crude jokes. She got her own room in the Morioh hotel. Portobello and Jotaro shared a room in the hotel. Jotaro was more distant towards the others and spent most of his time with Tenmei, Binns, and the Speedwagon Foundation, devising a plan for what to do in case The Wall chose to attack. Portobello took two weeks to remember all the new names, and mostly hung out with Jolyne in his spare time. More often than not, he'd be hanging out with his clay dolls.
Joanne woke up a little earlier than usual. The rising sunlight barely crept through the closed shutters of the second-floor window. Joanne looked to her left to see Kenna sleeping on the other side of the bed. She smiled before leaning over and kissing her girlfriend on the forehead. She looked at the clock and saw that it was 7:30, so she decided to go out for an early morning walk. She quietly got out of bed, put on some pants, and headed out to a small park. After fifteen minutes, She sat on a bench as early morning joggers ran in front of her.
"What are you up to Jo?"
"Hey, Abstract. I'm not up to much, just appreciating the early morning air,"
"That sounds boring! Let's go to that arcade you took Kenna to last week!"
"I'm not sure it's open this early in the morning, Abstract,"
"Well, shit! Now I'm gonna die of boredom!"
"Why don't you stay out for a bit? I was thinking about walking a little more,"
"Eh, only because I'm bored."
Joanne smiled as she got off the bench and walked through the park, "It's a beautiful day today, isn't it Abstract?"
"Eh, seems pretty shitty to me,"
"You don't know what you're talking about, Abstract! The sun's barely risen, it's not foggy, and it's even warm out. I'm gonna treat Ken to ice cream later today."
"Sure Jo, whatever floats your boat."
Joanne laughed at her Stand before her eyes went dark.
...
A/N: And that's chapter 29! We're getting started with the third major arc! This will be longer than the last one. Anyway, let's start with the musical references in this chapter. The first is the title of the chapter, The Wall, named after Pink Floyd's album of the same name. And the last is David Gil Moure, named after David Gilmore, one of the guitarists and co-lead vocalists for the band. Anyway, part of this chapter was just a small little conclusion to Hot Soft Light, at least through Dianne and Greta's POV. We also finally got introduced to The Wall, an organization that I've been hyping up since chapter 10. Hopefully, I can live up to the expectations I've set for myself. One thing I really liked about this chapter was how vulnerable Dianne was. So far we've seen her as the main antagonist hell-bent on killing the Joestars, but I wanted to add some more layers to her character. Another thing I liked was the small twists that it's not Dianne who's in control of The Wall, it's The Wall who's in control of Dianne. We also got a tiny sneak peek at what some of their Stands are capable of. We also finally got the whole good-guy gang together with Jotaro, Jolyne, and Portobello arriving in Morioh. Anyway, that's enough rambling, I hope you enjoyed, and see you all next week for Episode 30: Blackbird-The Wall Part 2!
