I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here Naegi is embroiled in another compromising situation, only this time it involves Enoshima, so find out what Naegi would do next, so read on and Well, enjoy!

Ch. 17: Gūzen no deai

A week has passed since his last tryst with Kirigiri, Naegi, who is sitting on a bench at a nearby park, is still at loss as to how he ended up like that and is starting to regret it as he felt that he violated her, as he realized that his recent actions were due to passion and felt that he did not feel any romance toward Kirigiri.

He planned on apologizing to her but could not come up with the right approach and is thinking of a way to approach Kirigiri and properly apologize to her for what happened recently so that there would be no hard feelings, and no bad blood, between the two.

By then Aoi Asahina passed by and greeted Naegi, which he waved to her and asked how is she doing, where she admitted that she still grieve over Yuta's death and is starting to lose faith as there has been no breakthrough yet, but Naegi assured to her that Yuta will get the justice he deserved and that she should not be daunted and have more faith in the system.

"Don't worry, Asahina-san."

"..."

"Your brother's case will be solved..."

"Are they...?"

"Yes. The investigators are on the move..."

"Still...will I have to wait for a long time...?"

"Have patience. You will get the justice you seek..."

"..."

Asahina was emotionally down and asked Naegi if he were in her situation, would he still have faith, in which Naegi nodded and said that he will not be discouraged and urged her to face the challenge and have more confidence, as he assured to her that Yuta's murder will not go unnoticed and that he culprit will be exposed and punished.

"If I were in your situation...I will not be daunted."

"..."

"I'll remain steadfast and not be discouraged."

"..."

"No matter what happens...I won't give up. And neither should you, Asahina."

"Naegi..."

"So have more faith."

"..."

The words sounded very optimistic, and Naegi is doing his best to lift Aoi's spirits as he can tell that the lengthy investigation is starting to take its toll on her patience and she is startong to feel discouraged, so he has to cheer her up and assure to her that Yuta will get the justice he deserved.

Soon it worked as Aoi feels better emotionally and said she is okay now and thanked him for helping her and promised to repay him, which he said that it is nothing and he should look forward to the advancement of the investigation, and promised that the culprit will be unmasked and be arrested and prosecuted.

Asahina smiiled and thanked him for the emotional support, which he said that it is nothing.

"Naegi-kun."

"Huh?"

"Thanks."

"Eh?"

"For cheering me up...I feel better now."

"Uh...it's nothing. Really."

"Okay! I'm pumped up!"

"Ah-ha-ha..."

After that, Asahina left and Naegi is alone, and wondered what to do next, whether to go to Kirigiri's house and apologize, though he seemed to have second thoughts as he anticipated that she might avoid talking to him, and he decided to wait for another few days before attempting to pay her a visit and properly apologize to her.

By then Enoshima passed by and saw Naegi by chance, where she greeted him the usual way, and he was caught off-guard at her sudden appearance as he did not expect to see her so suddenly, at the park of all places.

"Yo!"

"Huh?"

"You're the kid with the ahoge!"

"Huh? Me?"

"Who else?"

"Enoshima-san?"

"Yup! Junko Enoshima in the flesh! Er...what's your name again...? And what are ypu doing here?"

"Makoto Naegi. Anyway..."

Naegi said he just came here by chance and is unwinding, and asked her what brings her here, which she said she also passed by as she just finished a talk with her manager as he booked her to a scheduled photo shoot near here, and she informed Naegi that her manager would like to book him to a photo shoot as well, saying he sees potential in Naegi.

Naegi blinked his eyes at hearing this and asked if she is sure, as he never thought he would be this sought-after and asked if her manager is serious about it. Enoshima smiled and said that her manager asked her to contact Naegi so he can make a schedule and promised to pay him.

"R-really...?"

"Yup!"

"Seriously?"

"Uh-huh."

"For real?"

"That's right!"

"I can't believe this..."

"You better believe it, Naegi-kun."

Naegi twitched his eye as he never thought he would attract her manager's attention, and there she said she is going to visit her manager and invited Naegi to come with her as her manager wanted to speak with him, as she believed that he sees potential in Naegi.

Naegi is unsure as he sees himself as an ordinary boy and nothing more, but now Enoshima's manager said he saw talent in Naegi as a rookie model, and before Naegi would say something, Enoshima grabbed his hand and took him with her as they are about to leave the park, as she promised that the meeting would be brief but a worthwhile time.

"Okay, let's go!"

"Huh? Where?"

"To my manager. He wants to see you."

"R-really...?"

"Yup!"

"Seriously?"

"Uh-huh."

"For real?"

Naegi was quite surprised at the turn of events and asked Enoshima if this is okay, in which he asked if her manager really wanted to see him and not bother him, in which she said that it will be okay and promised that things will go smoothly and Naegi will benefit the most, saying that he would get the chance to earn money legally and doing modelling will be easy.

"R-really...?"

"Yup!"

"Seriously?"

"Uh-huh."

"For real?"

"That's right!"

"I can't believe this..."

"You better believe it, Naegi-kun."

As Enoshima is walking with Naegi, her hand holding his, they unknowingly attracted attention as some fans saw them, and somewhat misunderstood what they are seeing and assumed that the two teens are a couple, and they secretly took pictures and sent them through social media, and within minutes rumors began to swirl as the subject become hot, as many debate if Enoshima and Naegi are a couple or not, and this became a trending topic.

"Look…"

"Junko Enoshima…"

"The fashion model?"

"And look at that...she's with a boy..."

"Look…they're so close…"

"Are they a couple…?"

"Looks like it…"

"That boy is lucky…"

At the Kirigiri house, Kirigiri and her friend and fellow detective, Yui Sumidare, are having tea together when Yui checked her smartphone and saw the trending topic, and tells Kirigiri about it, and when Kirigiri asked what the trending topic is about, Yui innocently told her the subject, which caused Kirigiri to choke on her tea which made Yui concerned.

As Kirigiri choked and coughed, Yui showed the trending pictures and the gossips surrounding it, and Kirigiri face-palmed at it as she is dismayed that Naegi is letting himself get goaded into submitting to Enoshima's seductive whims, and Yui noted her friend's facial reaction and asked if there is something wrong.

Not wanting to complicate matters, Kirigiri told Yui what she needed to know.

"...and that is that..."

"Really...?"

"Yes."

"Whoa..."

"That boy can be an idiot at times..."

"Hmm...Makoto Naegi..."

"..."

"I wonder..."

Yui glanced at the pictures again and eyed Naegi, where she noted that Naegi does look cute even though he is a bit shorter than Enoshima, and believes that Enoshima was attracted to Naegi's boyish look and charms, hence any girl would fall for him, and in extreme cases, any girl can take him to bed and have sex with him.

Kirigiri involuntarily blushed as she recalled about unintentionally having a passionate encounter with Naegi, which is something she wanted to forget, and as much as she hate to admit, she finds herself drawn to Naegi but her professionalism prevents her from seeing Naegi as a charming boy, and had to put aside any possibilities of a romance.

Yui saw her friend blushing, and suspected that Kirigiri has a crush on him, and as Kirigiri sipped her cup if tea, Yui asked if she is FANTASIZING about him, causing her to choke on her drink and cough, and Yui realizes her folly and apologized.

"PPPFFFHHTTT!"

"!"

"KOFF-KOFF! KAFF-KAFF!"

"Kyoko...?"

"KOFF-KOFF! KAFF-KAFF!"

"Are you okay?"

"KOFF-KOFF! KAFF-KAFF!"

"Kyoko...?"

Kirigiri glared at Yui and asked why ask something like that, and Yui said she based it on her reaction after seeing her blush while looking at the trending pictures and noted that Kirigiri is eyeing Naegi. Yui said that she couldn't help but suspect that Kirigiri may have a crush on Naegi and felt INSECURE about him hanging out with Enoshima.

Kirigiri blushed deeper as Yui can be so blunt yet she cannot let anyone find out the fact that she had a one-day ENCOUNTER with Naegi last week and she thus cannot let Yui find out about that so all she can do now is deny the accusations and tells Yui she has no interest in Naegi.

"No."

"Huh?"

"That's not true."

"Hmm...?"

"I have no feelings for that boy."

"You sure?"

"Yes."

"Really...?"
