Ch. 20: Shashin satsuei no toraburu

The scene shifts at the studio hall where a photo shoot is taking place, and the magazine editor instructs the photographer to have the models do a certain pose so as to make it look good that would attract the readers and the fashion fans, which the photographer nodded, and tells the models to line up as one by one the model will do the fashion pose that is according to the article's theme.

There the photographer spent a few more minutes and took the pictures of the models, and by then Enoshima and Naegi arrived, which the magazine editor is delighted to see her and the other models were secretly pissed at seeing Enoshima, feeling that the magazine editor is purposely reserving something for her as jealousy slowly filled up their ego.

"Look…"

"It's her…"

"Junko Enoshima."

"The bitch."

"Who does she think she is?"

"Why didn't they blacklist her even when she's suspected of murder?"

"I bet she seduced the magazine editors to do favors…"

"Maybe she uses her BOOBS to make them fall for her…"

Moreover, they noticed Naegi, and they were quite appalled at seeing his appearance, as they deem him too plain despite having good looks, and they felt that Enoshima is bringing an outsider and is using her influence to make her do favors for the magazine editor.

The models are now resenting Enoshima as they believe that she is now using Naegi to steal their THUNDER, and wished that Enoshima be pinpointed as the culprit so that she would be backlisted as a model and that the other modelling agencies would shift their attention to them.

"Damn that Enoshima."

"She really is a bitch."

"I hate her."

"And now she brought a brat with her."

"She really doesn't know her place…"

"I hope she be found guilty."

"Yeah…so she would go away."

"And that boy is a real eyesore…"

As Enoshima and the magazine editor are talking, Naegi could feel the piercing glares of the other models yet he chose to pretend not noticing them as he opt to remain calm and not attract attention so as to save him the trouble.

However, the models discreetly approached Naegi and began to badmouth him and told him to know his place as they said that he is not cut out to be a model and that he is making a big mistake in associating with Enoshima, and told him to get lost and never come back.

"Hey you."

"Yeah, you."

"Who do you think you are?"

"You sure have the guts."

"You think you can muscle your way here?"

"You're in no position to apply as a model."

"You're just a wimp."

"And you have no place here."

Naegi just stared at them and opted to ignore them, and the models are rather irritated at being ignored, and are pissed to believe that Naegi is so stuck-up like Enoshima, as they felt that he is strutting around just to flaunt at being Enoshima's partner-in-crime.

"Why that…"

"Is he ignoring us?"

"He really has the guts…"

"He's just like Enoshima…a real stuck-up…"

"So he thinks he owns the world…"

"He really is a brat."

"So he thinks he can get his way…"

"He really is an asshole…"

Naegi could hear it but he opted to ignore them as he realized that he can't let them provoke him and get into trouble, but the models approached him and discreetly tells him to get lost or else he would be sorry, and also tells him to ditch Enoshima, saying that she is the killer and that he would end up being charged as an accessory to murder if he keeps associating with her.

"Hey, brat."

"Listen to our friendly advice."

"Get lost."

"You have no right being here."

"And better ditch that bitch Enoshima."

"She's a murderer."

"And you could become her next victim."

"So do us a favor and scram."

Naegi opted not to say anything as he felt that he is being provoked and turn his back on the models, but the models persisted as they tried to intimidate him into leaving the studio, and they went as far as discreetly shoving him, which Naegi is starting to give in to their taunts.

However, one of the magazine editors saw through this and confronted the models, asking what is their problem and why are they harassing the boy, which the models went silent after being caught. The studio manager noticed the commotion and asked what is wrong, and after being told, he berated the models for their unprofessionalism and threatened to expel them if they keep this up.

The models were stunned and apologized, begging not to be expelled as the modelling job meant to them and promised to behave.

"WE ARE SORRY!"

"FORGIVE US!"

"WE WON'T DO IT AGAIN!"

"WE PROMISE!"

"PLEASE...DON'T PUNISH US!"

"HAVE MERCY!"

"WWWWAAAHHH!"

"I STILL WANT TO BE A MODEL!"

Enoshima just glanced at the scene before approaching Naegi, apologizing to him for being dragged in yet he said it is okay as no harm was done, yet she cautioned him on not to lose his cool as some of the models she met have inflating egos and would bully anyone they deem below their standards and would do so until he/she got discouraged and quit.

The models' arrogant manager is pissed at seeing Enoshima and Naegi together, deeming them as troublesome and irritating, and planned on making Naegi lose his confidence and embarrass him into leaving the studio, and he discreetly spill coffee on the boy's clothes and made it appear to be an accident, then mockingly apologized to the boy.

Naegi somewhat deduced this and just glared at him as the manager continued to mockingly apologized to the boy.

"Oops…"

"…"

"Sorry about that…"

"You…"

"It was an accident…"

"Is it…?"

"Hope you don't mind…"

"…"

The models came to their manager's defense and mockingly told Naegi to accept the apology saying that their manager is SORRY for the accident and told him to go home and get a new set of clothes to wear so as to make him look DIGNIFIED.

"Hey!"

"Back off!"

"Our manager apologized already!"

"So lay off, you brat!"

"Be thankful you didn't get burned and the coffee is not hot!"

"But you think you are?"

"Go home and change clothes!"

"Or better yet, go home and don't come back!"

This however, did not go unnoticed as the magazine editor and the studio manager figured it out and confronted the manager and the models, and the magazine editor decided to have them leave the studio and not have them include in his upcoming issue of his magazine, and the studio manager told the models' manager that he will not entertain the models for now after seeing what they did to Naegi.

The models were shocked by this and attempted to appease him just to not ditch them, but the magazine editor and the studio manager stood form in their decision and told the models and their manager that it was their fault for bullying Naegi who is peacefully minding his own business.

"WE ARE SORRY!"

"FORGIVE US!"

"WE WON'T DO IT AGAIN!"

"WE PROMISE!"

"PLEASE...DON'T PUNISH US!"

"HAVE MERCY!"

"WWWWAAAHHH!"

"I STILL WANT TO BE A MODEL!"

The studio manager summoned his bouncers and instructed them to escort the models and their manager out of the photo studio and use force if necessary should they cause trouble, which the bouncers obliged and began escorting the now-banned models and their manager out of the studio to make sure they leave the premises.

The models pleaded to the magazine editor and the studio manager to give them another chance and promised to behave.

"WE ARE SORRY!"

"FORGIVE US!"

"WE WON'T DO IT AGAIN!"

"WE PROMISE!"

"PLEASE...DON'T PUNISH US!"

"HAVE MERCY!"

"WWWWAAAHHH!"

"I STILL WANT TO BE A MODEL!"

The magazine editor and the studio manager paid no attention as the bouncers carried the models out of the studio amid their crying pleas, and after that the two adults apologized to Naegi for what happened and promised to make up for it as well as compensate him for the trouble he endured at the hands of the rude models.

Naegi said it is okay and told the two adults not to worry yet they insisted on making up for it as well as to let Enoshima know that they are not selfish and play favorites.

Enoshima then told Naegi it is okay as the magazine editor and the studio manager wanted to show their appreciation for being calm and not causing trouble, which Naegi asked if she is sure, which the fashion diva said she is.

"You should accept, Naegi-kun."

"Eh?"

"Really."

"Buy…"

"They wanted to make up to you after what those models did to you."

"Really…?"

"Yup."

"Um…"

Sighing, Naegi consented and the magazine editor gave Naegi the fashion clothes he will wear in the photo shoot and said that he will pose with Enoshima. Naegi blinked his eyes upon hearing this and asked if he is sure, as he never thought that he would do something like that for a magazine.

The magazine editor is quite bemused seeing the younger boy's innocence and assured to him that the photoshoot will be wholesome in nature.

"Don't sorry, kid."

"Uh…"

"The photoshoot will be a wholesome one."

"Really?"

"Yes. It'll be artistically done with a wholesome taste."

"Really, sir?"

"Yes, so no worries. You and Enoshima would be a hit."

"Well…"
