Stefan has been getting his memories back and understands why he had Klaus get rid of them.

He knew his dad was awful to him and Damon but nobody could say he didn't treat them equally, Damon looked like Lily but had his heart, Stefan looked like Lily's mom but had her heart.

Stefan wondered if he'd see himself get abused or use Magic. As he fell asleep he was pulled into another dream.

Stefan is 13

"What is wrong father," Stefan asked as his dad dragged him out of bed.

"Normally I'd do this to your sister but she is with your aunt in Poland for college so my youngest child was sufficient for our clients"

"Do what father" young Stefan asked fearfully

"Well Stefan we are in severe debt to I need extra cash and a few other founding families have offered to help our situation for a price"

"What price"

"You Stefan, they can do as they please, now Stefan don't go telling anybody about this, not Wanda or Damon" Giuseppe explained

Mama Debby as they called her was one of the slaves Giuseppe kept, has always favored the youngest Salvatore, Wanda was wild and independent, Damon had darkness brewing in his heart, but Stefan was pure, he would help her and all the others without them asking, he'd refuse to stop, he'd even risked his neck to give them extra food and shelter, seeing him be sold to retain a lifestyle broke her heart.

"It will be alright Stefan, I will get you ready to go with Reverend fell alright baby"

"Okay mama Debby"

Stefan shot up tears streaming down his face, he needed his sister, but then he remembered that she died when she was in Poland.

Stefan grabbed his phone deciding who to call, the choice was made by Klaus' compulsion as he clicked the familiar name.

"Stefan are you okay" Klaus sat up in his bed beside cami with a frown

"Klaus what did I just remember"

"Oh Rippah, it was that night, when you were 13" Klaus was looking at a sleeping cami thinking about having Stefan see her as his therapist.

Stefan unknowingly let out a sob

"Why would he do that to me Nik, I knew he was cruel but..."

"I know Stef, why don't you grab your girls and take a trip here I'm sure Hope and the others would love to see you again" Klaus suggested "take a break from the mess of mystic falls"

Stefan nods "umm yeah I'll ask, thank you Nik, sorry if I bothered your beauty sleep"

"Meh, not that I need it"

Stefan chuckled "goodbye Klaus"

Stefan started packing a bag and texted Caroline and Bonnie to see if they wanted to go

Bonnie had promised to do some spell for Delena Caroline was eager to accept.

Caroline is shocked to see Stefan look Heartbroken in a way she'd never seen anybody look before, it made her want to cry.

"Stefan you look" Stefan cut her off

"Ruggedly handsome" he joked half-heartedly

"Broken" the word was only six letters but held over a century of meaning

"That's been established already it's why we work, the depressed, broken one and the optimistic outgoing one," Stefan said as if the fact he admitted to being depressed didn't feel like a stake to the heart.

"Oh Steffy," she said using the nickname he 'hated' but always made him smile, but he just looked at her.

Caroline brought the taller man into her strong arms and kissed his temple "I got you stef"

Stefan broke down In her arms, Caroline was momentarily shocked by the expression of trust to break in front of her, to take down his walls, and his mask. She quickly got over it and comforted him to the best of her ability.

She knew this had to do with his dreams, but what was so bad that he broke like this, this reminds her of something Klaus said once.

"What did your dad do" Caroline softly asked, Stefan, looked up confused "some pain only a father can do" Stefan went to answer her question but the words got blocked by a sob.

"Do you want to show me, or is that too much?" Caroline said but backtracked

Stefan's lips twitched in a weak smile only for a second but nodded and put her hands on his temples.

Caroline saw his memory and gasped out shocked and disturbed "he sold you" Stefan nodded

"What did they do to you" "I don't know, I don't remember," Stefan said not knowing if it was a good thing or not.

"So we're going to go to New Orleans so you can get control see your friends and-"

"My God-daughter Hope, Klaus' daughter"

Caroline nods "that baby loves you"

Stefan has a sad smile on her face "yeah"

Caroline takes Stefan's hand " I love you too Steffy"

"I love you too Caroline Forbes" Stefan sighed and hugged his best friend tightly.
