Dressed in my Star Fleet grey officer uniform, I sat next to my father. I've chosen to wear my Star Fleet uniform instead of the traditional Vulcan attire. To show the Vulcan council and Serock, he will not get the satisfaction of how much he injured me physically and mentally. I am a strong Vulcan Star Fleet Engineering Senior Officer.

Out of the corner of his eye, Sarek saw his daughter's hands turned into fists. The white-green hues of her knuckles shown brightly. The corner of his eye scanned his daughter's face and saw her jaw clenched but had a straight face. He looked back down to her clenched fists. If his wife was here, she would of already reached for their daughter's hand discreetly to help unwound the tension.

I noticed movement but it paused when I felt a hand on the other side of me. I glanced up at the owner and felt my shoulders melt. I swallowed, "Spock, you're here. I thought..."

My words trailed off when he sat down in the seat next to mine. His hand undid my fist and we laced our fingers together. Spock's stoic voice came out, "I wouldn't let you face this alone."

I glanced at our father briefly before turning back to Spock, "I had father. I would've been fine."

Spock and I shared a look between each other. I tore away first letting out a sigh. Father made a comment, "Glad to see you came to support, Spock. I was starting to wondering when you would arrive."

I turned to our father with a raised angled brow, "You knew he was coming?"

Sarek gave a light nod, "Of course."

I opened and closed my mouth unsure on what to say. Spock gave a light squeeze of his hand. I squeezed back finally feeling relieved to be surrounded by my family. The Vulcan Council walked towards their council table. The head of the council spoke loud enough for the audience to hear, "All Rise."

I was ready to let go of my brother's hand but Spock didn't release my hand. I readjusted my hand grip onto his. Due to the nature of my father's involvement to the trial, he cannot sit at the council's table. The audience of four stood. Other than the three family members, there were one other Vulcan. His newly bonded mate, T'Aerial. She was dressed in Vulcan clothing for a wife of a high upstanding husband. When we entered the council room, I caught eye of the robes. One look between us showed her anger. The rare and raw emotion bleeding through one look. I kept eye contact with the woman who helped induce my Ponn Farr. I refused to break eye contact with the woman who share the same ideals as her now-husband. She tore apart our silent emotional staring contest.

The head of the council's voice tore me out of my thoughts, "We are going to begin the sentencing of Serock. You may be seated."

The council and the three other Vulcans sat down in their seats. One of the members started, "We have a detailed record of Serock and his annulled bonded, T'Saraphina's relationship. The first offense was after the destruction of Vulcan..."

I tuned out the council member's words as I focused on my brother. I felt him about to stand to object but I kept a firm grip on his hand. His jaw clenched. The only logical reason for the first offense of his abuse and intent to kill was erased for the detailed report was his parents became dirty politicians. Not like they weren't in the first place. A voice, surprising my brother and I, spoke out, "Councilmen and women I'd like to correct you on your 'detailed' report."

I lightly turned my head towards our father. Sarek stood tall with his hands behind his back. He continued not allowing the council to add in, "My daughter, a Star Fleet officer, was abused by the hands of her annulled bond mate, Serock before this time. If you would like I would go into great detail of such event. I will not have you taint my family name of one's hidden actions."

Spock gave a reassuring squeeze to my hand. A council member cleared their throat, "Alright. Council member Sarek, thank you."

Another voice protested, "Council member if I may interject, Council member Sarek has been compromised due to the nature of this trial."

Sarek was ready to release his inner wrath, "I assure you council, I am not compromised to see a fair proceeding of my daughter's behalf. If it was anyone in her shoes, I would provide a fair proceeding for one's family."

T'Aerial didn't open her mouth again. The room stayed silent once the head of the council gave the verdict, "We see Serock as an infirm Vulcan. T'Aerial, you will be granted a visit beforehand. The meeting is adjourned."

My heart pounded against my lower rib cage. I could feel the sting of salt prick my eyes. T'Aerial didn't glance back towards me as she left the room. The Vulcan people knew of death. It is inevitable and we accept it. If one becomes beyond the feeble age or not mentally stable, the health committee commences the choice. The council was next to leave the room. The family of three stayed to be the last ones out. I looked over at my older brother. His brown eyes studied my person. I immediately wrapped my arms around him tightly. I buried my face into his chest. Spock's arms wrapped around my shoulders. His cheek rested against the top of my head. A few tears leaked out. This whole mess is finally over. I can finally put it behind me without being worried and scared.

Sarek relaxed at the sight of his two children embracing. He bent down picking up his daughter's Star Fleet Officer cap. He looked down at it. The silver insignia reflected the indoor light. His thumb lightly wiped over the insignia. A sense of pride of how his children grew up to be washed over him. Sarek tore his eyes away from his daughter's cap to the still embracing siblings. He spoke up, "We should be going. I am sure you would like a night of peace before you are to report back to the Enterprise."

I slowly pulled away from my older twin. I sniffled, "Thank you, father."

Sarek's brow raised, "What for?"

I felt a light twitch of my lip go upward. I took my Star Fleet regulation hat from his hands, "For being my father."

Sarek's brows knitted together. Spock gave a light tilt of his head. I placed my cap on my head as I looped my arm through my father's hooked arm, "Shall we?"

Sarek's eyes met his son's. Both males were not understanding the reference coming from their only female. Sarek placed a hand ontop of his daughter's. He gave a nod, "Of course, I am your father. Your mother and I did-."

Spock felt his ears heat up. I interrupted our father with a light scold, "I know how we were created, father! It's a human expression. Now can we head out, please?"

Sarek wouldn't mention to his children but he felt amusement at his children's embarrassment. The father of three led his daughter out of the council room. Spock followed on the other side of his sister. He placed his own Star Fleet cap ontop of his head. The two mentally thanked the atrocious design to shield out New Vulcan's sun. Their father squinted his eyes to protect them from the sun's glare. It's time to restart this part of my life.
