Sorry for not posting in a while. My internet went down, and I didn't know what should happen next in Broken And Confused. If anyone has any suggestions, I'll be happy to read them in the reviews for that story. Also, I will no longer be posting every day so I can put a little bit more effort into these, but I will try to post when I can, possibly once, or twice a week. So, until I figure out what should happen next, here's something new. Please enjoy He's Strange, But He's Ours.

The cold winter night was not a pleasant time to wake at, and yet Mr. Chen was walking to the front door of his orphanage to see who was knocking at this hour. Mr. Chen's Orphanage for Young children was one of those 'Invite The Kids In, Yet Still Hate Them' kind of places, and, sadly, not many people could see that. He grumbled as he opened the door, but saw no one and nothing except for the freezing snow.

'Dang kids,' Mr. Chen thought. 'Don't they have better things to do then this stupid game of theirs?' Mr. Chen yelled profanities, trying to see if anyone was there, yet no one came, but he did hear a small sleepy coo below him. Mr. Chen paused and slowly looked down to see the strangest looking baby he ever saw. The little hair the baby had was fluffy and entirely white, and their skin was so pale, Mr. Chen almost mistook the sleeping child for a corpse. The only thing keeping the small baby warm was a white blanket that almost blended into the snow. Mr. Chen picked up the child, and almost gasped when the baby started wiggling in his hold.

"I thought you were asleep," Mr. Chen said in his unpleasantly scratchy voice as the baby continued to wiggle. Mr. Chen rolled his eyes and walked inside, bringing the small baby with him. He closed the door with his foot, making a loud slamming sound echo through the orphanage. Mr. Chen's daughter, Skyler, walked through the hallway where her dad was, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"Dad, keep it down. The kids are sleeping," Skyler whispered. Mr. Chen growled.

"I don't care about those brats," Mr. Chen said. Skyler crossed her arms against her chest.

"Says the angry man holding what looks like a baby," Skyler said, smugly and annoyed. Her eyes snapped back to the wiggling bundle in her father's arms.

"Why do you have a baby with you?" She asked with a slight worry in her voice. If Skyler knew anything, she knew her dad hated kids, especially young ones. She wasn't sure why he opened an orphanage or where the kids went after they turned 10, but she does know her dad gave little to no care to the kids.

"I found it on the porch," Mr. Chen said, as calmly as someone talking about something that annoyed them.

"I'll take them," Skyler said, reaching for the little child, but Mr. Chen kept the child away from her.

"I'll give it to Clouse for him to handle it," Mr. Chen said. At the mention of Mr. Chen's friend and Co-worker, the baby started whimpering and tried to squirm away from him.

"Dad, you scared them," Skyler said, still trying to keep her voice down. Mr. Chen couldn't care less.

"Good. If it's scared, it will listen to me the first time," Mr. Chen said, his scratchy voice getting louder.

"Why are you calling the child it?" Skyler asked, getting ready to tackle her dad for the frightened child.

"Because that's all it will ever be!" Mr. Chen yelled. The baby woke with the yell and started to cry. Really loudly.

"Great, now look what you did! You're going to attract unwanted attention," Mr. Chen yelled to his daughter over the sound of the screaming child, who squirmed in Mr. Chen's grasp. Skyler grabbed the child and quickly ran to her room before her dad could start one of his tantrums. She locked her door as Mr. Chen banged on her door. Skyler held the crying child close to her chest until her dad gave up and left, grumbling under his breath as he walked to his room. Skyler shushed the crying child, and when the baby was quiet enough, she could hear crumpling paper in between the baby's blanket. Skyler carefully fished around the baby's blanket, making the baby quietly giggle, and found a small note. She read it, the dark making it difficult to do so while comforting the child.

Skyler, I know your father's dirty little trick. What he does to children is cruel, and my team and I are going to stop him. Sadly, the way to do that is for my newborn son to be in his filthy orphanage. Luckily, he's young, so he's not in danger yet. I know you won't abandon him, you are a very kind and selfless woman, and I know you will take great care of my little boy. My son is a wonderful little boy, and he has something no one can avoid, but I won't tell anyone what it is; I'm not an idiot. I have a feeling this plan is completely idiotic, and it might backfire, but we have no other choice anymore. Skyler Chen, please take care of my little Zane as much as you can.

Skyler looked at the note, then back at the small baby, who was close to falling asleep.

"Zane, huh?" She whispered. "I wonder what kind of 'something' you have to make my dad stop doing whatever he's doing." The small baby - Zane- slowly fell asleep at the sound of her calming voice.

'This kid can stop my dad and help these kids? He's only a baby, and just hearing my dad scared him,' she thought, gently rubbing her knuckle on his soft cheek.

'Well, if this guy says you can stop him, I'll do my best to help you.' she thought with a small smile at the sleeping baby.
