"Will you go to Prom with me?" Georgie asked Diego with a smile as she looked at him.
Diego grinned, thrilled that she asked him. Maybe now she can see what she's been missing with having me as her date to the Prom, he thought to himself. "Yes, Georgie, I would love to go to Prom with you," Diego gladly accepted.
Georgie suddenly felt much better about everything and came around the counter to give Diego a hug. As she wrapped her arms around him, she felt him hold her close and smiled. This felt right to her and it felt nice to be in his arms for a change. She couldn't help but feel her heart beat faster as the hug lasted longer than intended. After several more moments, she pulled back and looked at Diego. The way he looked at her made her feel so beautiful and alive. "Thank you, Diego. I really was worried about missing Prom."
"It's my pleasure. I wouldn't want you to miss your Senior Prom. I know how important it is to you. So, do you have any idea what your Prom dress will look like so I know what color flower wrist corsage to get you?" Diego asked her.
"I still have to figure that out, but I'll let you know," Georgie answered.
Diego nodded than saw that another customer was waiting for service. "Ok, I got to go wait on a customer, but I'm looking forward to going to Prom with you."
"Yeah, me too," Georgie smiled. With that, Diego kissed her quickly on the cheek and Georgie was left smiling and touching the spot where he kissed her with her hand.
