Landmine soon arrived back at the quarters. He had finally gathered all the energon he needed. Before he had collected the energon, he had invited several groups of bots that were living on earth. Landmine had invited Jetfire and his mates, Red Alert and his mates, Override and her mate, and Leobreaker and his mates, along with the kids and minicons. All in all, about 16 bots or so and three humans. But Landmine felt it was well worth it.
Mudflap was the first to see Landmine return. "Hi Landmine, how did the energon hunt go?"
"I found plenty and we should have enough for our party" Landmine answered.
"Who did we invite?" Vector Prime asked, wanting to know in case there were bots who didn't get along really well.
"Well… Jetfire and his two mates, Red Alert and his two mates, Override and her mate, Leobreaker and his mates, and minicons and the kids" Landmine informed his mates.
"Any RSVP's so far?" Mudflap asked.
"Well, the kids said yes right away" Landmine replied.
"That figures" Mudflap retorted. While he didn't mind the kids, he didn't necessarily care for their overexuberance for things at times.
"Mudflap, be nice to them, they mean well" Vector Prime gently reminded Mudflap. Mudflap nodded slowly. "Any other yeses?"
"Jetfire said yes for his mates, Override said yes, Leobreaker said yes, and the minicons, but Red Alert said no, he and his mates are busy as they are heading to Velocitron" Landmine revealed to his mates.
"Well, even without them, it ought to be an interesting party" Vector Prime replied, gently rubbing Mudflap's back. Mudflap purred, and the kind of purr that usually riled his mates up and so, party planning was put on hold while the three attended to other needy matters.
Meanwhile, Jetfire headed back to his own mates, as he had to tell them what he had agreed to. "Loves, I'm home" Jetfire announced loudly.
"The offline could hear you with that volume" Hotshot replied, a bit annoyed at how loud Jetfire could be at times.
"Grow up, both of you" Optimus stated. He was exactly sure how or why he had ended up bonded to these two, but it certainly was an experience. "Now tell us, what kept you."
"Landmine invited us to a Christmas party and I told him we will come" Jetfire answered.
"A Christmas party?" Hotshot asked.
"Yeah, apparently it's the kids' idea, as they have those this time of year" Jetfire replied.
"Well, since it would give us an insight to humans, I think we should go" Optimus offered up and the other two agreed.
