Back with Vector Prime and his mates, the three slept soundly, wrapped up in one another's arms as they rested before Christmas and the party. It soon was morning and the three woke as they had much to do. "Merry Christmas" Mudflap said, his youthful exuberance shining through.
"Merry Christmas" replied Vector Prime and Landmine, tired from being woken up a bit early but still with loving warmth In their voices.. They didn't really understand all of this but were trying to enjoy it as much as they could, as they could tell that this holiday meant a lot to the three kids all the Autobots were fond of.
All three eagerly got up and set up for the party, as there was still much to do. The quarters needed to be decorated, at least according to Lori who had helped the three pick out decorations. They didn't understand still, it at least the bright and cheery décor made the atmosphere feel more warm and cheery. Mudflap even seemed to feel like his spirit was lifted as he helped decorate.
Soon, though not soon enough, everything was decorated and prepared for the Christmas party. The quarters seemed to sparkle with pretty lights and metallic décor. The lights reflected off the silver tinsel that covered some areas of the quarters, while other areas had green and gold decorations, including what now passed for a transformers sized Christmas tree. Landmine couldn't help but smile at just how warm and inviting the room now looked. "Well, I still don't get s holiday, but Lori was right about one thing – all these lights and other decorations seem to bring out something inside me. I feel more optimistic and full of cheer" Landmine stated, his own spark feeling lighter.
"I agree" Vector Prime stated.
"I hope there is snow outside" Mudflap added.
"Why does that matter?" Landmine asked.
"Well, Cody talked about a white Christmas, and how snow covers this part of the earth" Mudflap replied.
"Well, after the party, we can go look to see if it snowed. Right now, we need to be ready, as the guests will soon arrive. Make sure the energon treats and goodies are ready" Vector Prime stated.
"It is all ready, now just waiting for the guests to arrive. Here, Vector, put this on" Landmine stated, holding some kind of red covering for a bot.
"Why?" Vector asked.
"Well, the kids want to see Santa and I think you should play that role" Mudflap blurted it.
"Why me and not Optimus? He is already partially red in color" Vector Prime retorted.
"Because Optimus would be too obvious" Mudflap answered.
"Fine, I'll do it then" Vector Prime answered, reluctantly agreeing to this and putting on what Mudflap had brought. Now everything was ready and soon the party would start.
