What a Poem means to Eragon
Disclaimer: I do not own Eragon, Eldest, nor anything related to it.

"Under the moon, the bright white moon,
Lies a pool, a flat silver pool,
Among the brakes and brambles,
And black-heart pines.
Falls a stone, living stone,
Cracks the monn, the bright moon,
Among the brakes and brambles,
And black-heart pines.
Shards of light, swords of light,
Ripple 'cross the pool,
The quiet mere, the still tarn,
The lonely lake there.
In the night, the dark and heavy night,
Flutter shadows, confused shadows,
Where once..." Eragon said as he laid down on his bed. He had been saying this poem over and over. Hoping to figure out what it meant. "It must mean something."
"What troubles you now little one?" Saphira asked from outside the tent. "You must not dwell on past events. You need to rest and forget that bad news...At least for now. Oh and Arya is here." She said this last part with a bit of amusement.
Eragon rolled over and scrambled around for a shirt. "Enter." He said pulling one on. He began to touch his lips, but Arya stopped him. Eragon gave her a confused look.
"You needn't do that right now." She said placing her hands over his and pulling them down. "Saphira tells me you have been repeating the poem I wrote for Agaeti Blodhren."
"Um, that is I...Y-yes." Eragon said finding the ground interesting all of the sudden. "I was hoping to find out what it meant."
"Promise me that this info never leaves this tent and I shall tell you." Arya said raising his head with her left hand. Eragon blinked then swore in the ancient language. Arya nodded and smiled with aprroval. Then entangled his left hand fingers with her right hand fingers.
Eragon felt his face turn red. Arya's smile grew slightly bigger as she slowly started to lean forward. Eragon went stiff with surprise as Arya gave him a quick kiss. Arya pulled away. Eragon showed no emotion or made any reaction. Arya's smile soon vanished and she took a step back. "I'm sorry. I shoudn't have..." She tried to turn away but something held he in place. She looked at Eragon's direction. What was holding her in place? Eragon still hadn't moved. She looked down and saw...
Eragon's hand. Which was still holding hers. Only more firmly. "Don't go." Eragon brought her closer. Arya smiled and Eragon placed a pasionate kiss on he lips.

Arya and Eragon felt Nasuada, Orik, and Trianna comming.
"Uh-oh." Arya said sitting up. Both her hair and shirt were a mess. Eragon was in the same state. ((AN: They didn't do anything bad, just made out for awhile -.-; )) "What are they going to say if they see us like this?"
"Um...Lucky rider?" Eragon said sitting up as well. Arya punched him in the arm. Eragon punched her back. Then Arya tackled him. They were soon wrestling on the ground. Next thing they knew they were having another make out fest.
Orik and the rest walked in and saw them. Eragon and Arya didn't even notice them until they broke for air and looked up.
"Oh, um. Hey guys." Eragon said looking at them.
Orik smiled and nodded. Nasuada just nodded. Trianna looked hurt.
And the rest...Well you can guess...

AN: This story was itching at the back of my head. And I know its short, but still good right? Also I think the poem is a way for Arya to say she likes Eragon. As you could probably guess, this isn't what really happens. I have another Eragon&Arya story I might write. And I am still writing my other story. Read and Review!
