It had almost been a full year since the new resident fairy, Crystal entered Pixie Hollow—and she, herself couldn't have imagined how fast things were changing; every day she'd wake up at the crack of dawn to meet her mentor Fawn to help with the morning workload. Fawn and Crystal were both animal-talents and for this reason, the season Crystal liked best of all was spring.

One morning she woke up bright and early, eager to help Fawn with whatever she needed done. Opening her door she wondered which season they were to practice on today—fluttering out the door in the direction of her friend's house.

One there she lowered herself to the ground upon the welcome mat and knock three-time upon the door.

Fawn answered the door—still in her silkworm-style pajamas of course.

"Crystal" she yawned, "What brings you by... so early?"

"Morning Fawn, so... what season are we going to prepare for today?"

"Huh?" she blinked.

"Training—Fawn aren't you going to mentor me?"

"Crystal... I'm quite tired right now, and after all, it's Saturday..."

"Yeah, so? The seasons never stop"

"Well, some fairies do... so consider this you're day off"

"Day off?"

"Yeah, you can go visit Tink or Silvermist... of go get some new furniture for your home; like... oh, I don't know maybe: a calendar"

"Hey yeah, and maybe I'll stop by that new pajama store that just opened and get myself a pair... beats sleep in my work clothes from the day before"

"Yes, you do that and I'll meet up with ya later okay chickadee?"

"Okay, see ya later then" I walked off a little disappointed but also very excited, after all, it was my first day off work.

Walking out, I felt the cold, cool breeze surround me numbing my face. I shivered winter must be on its way I continued to walk toward Tink's place—hoping to talk to someone.

"Tink!" I knocked softly.

I watched her open the door "Oh Crystal, hello... and the purpose of your visit is?"

"Oh, umm... well; it's... my first real day off and I just want to see if you... and maybe Sill would like to do something?"

"Like what?"

"Well, I thought we could... I don't know; play volleyball"

"Volleyball...? Now?"

"Yeah, is there a problem?"

"Well yeah..." she rolled her eyes annoyed. "If you haven't noticed it's almost time for the start of the winter season"

"Winter? Oh wow! The winter fairies will be surely stressed out"

"Indeed"

"Anyway, you wanna travel to the Winter Woods later?"

"Sur... oh wait, sorry Crystal I can't—I promised Peter I meet up with him...",

"Hmmm... can't you bring him to the wood too?"

"Well... I... I suppose"

"...After all, Jack Frost has your sister Periwinkle there and you have Peter here; who might I add have never met"

"Okay, okay... we'll go later okay"

"Okay see you then, right now I have to go buy a few things" she turned, and walked towards the direction of the new store that she had heard so much about—finally there on the corner of Crystal Cove and Pixie Dust Lane stood a single hut made to look like a cozy acorn kettle only like 10 times bigger.

Walking inside I heard the little jingle of the bell above the door, "Ooo goodie, a customer!" a lady stood up from behind a big desk and fluttered towards me.

"Welcome, welcome to my little store home to all your winter needs"

"Good day to you ma'am, my name's Crystal"

"Crystal? Ha like Crystal Cove... always liked the name Crystal Cove—ah Crystal Cove... such a pretty name for a Cove... well anyway, what can I do for you today Crystal?"

"Oh, I just wanted some silkworm pajamas"

"Silkworm pajamas?"

"Yeah, I've seen my mentor Fawn wearing them earlier today—and well—I just sort of found out that—well recently that—w...wi... winter is fast approaching"

"... and you want to be prepared..."

"Well yes..."

"Snug as a bug in a rug, right?"

"... umm, y- yeah, yes; that's exactly how I wanna feel!" I almost screamed overjoyed.

"Great! Then let's fix you up with a pair" she said in an overly cheerful voice.

The grown woman-fairy by the name of Maize, who can be described as having reddish almost auburn hair—which she had tied up in a bun and was wearing a baby pink dress with matching shoes. Led me towards a rack where tons of soft and cozy looking nightgowns were,

"Oh Maize" Crystal gasped. "What beautiful nightgowns"

"Why, thank you Crystal" she replied as she grabbed at one to show me. It was a very nice, soft silkworm two-piece pajama top and bottom— I of course brought two or three, one of which consisted of a baby blue top with soft white pants and the other a very, very light pink top with matching bottoms.

"I'll definitely take these!" I smiled, grabbing three of the favorite pajamas of mine labeled correctly as Fairy Smalls.

"Okay..." Maize replied as she fluttered over to the cash register; but before she made it all the way she turned back abruptly, grabbed Crystal's hand, and pulled her towards some more nightgowns, only this time these nightgowns were on a circular rack and above the rack was a sign that read: Famous Fairy Talent Nightgowns.

"Oooo, what cool nightgowns!" I stared in awe at what I saw before me. A stunning array of colored clothes were spread out before her, there was every nightgown color imaginable for every fairy talent in Pixie Hollow from Silvermist's water-talent to Tink's Tinkering one.

"These are new, we just got them in a couple of weeks ago"

"Cool"

"Just tell me what your talent is sweetie, and I'll try to match it"

"Oh okay," Crystal leaned over and whisper her talent into Maizie's ear.

"Oh, an animal-talent fairy eh"

"Yes"

"I think I've got just the thing," she said with a wink. She fluttered over to a rack of orange-color clothes and things; pulling out a white top with orange bottoms and what looked like a hat. Fluttering back over to me, she held them up for me to see. "Here, see what you think of these"

"Wow, I like these" I said stroking the fine fabric.

"Well, I'll ring these up for ya then" the woman fluttered over towards the check-out counter, I fluttered closer behind as Maizie took her place behind the desk. "Now that'll be 20 buttons please," I thought that sounded very reasonable. Sense shiny coins are too big for us fairies we decide to use buttons instead.

"Very well" I replied, taking out the black buttons from a multi-colored coin purse of my own design.

"Here you go," I said, handing them over.

"Thank you" she acknowledged, taking the buttons from my hand—placing them in the cash register.

"Thank you" I replied, taking the bag full of clothes. As Crystal said her goodbyes to Maisie. Fluttering out the door, hearing the little bell chime once again as she went.
