The Long Road

Chapter 26: Echo

Gohan:

The announcement Gohan heard had only brought fury. It was bullshit. The trail of destruction his body had left behind on its journey into the side of the arena was certainly not "bullshit", but the fact that it ruled him out of the match was. The entire round he'd kept that sack of waste known as Trunks in the ring, because he'd been intent on winning the battle like a true Saiyan warrior. But when things were finally about to be resolved by him, the little bastard prince pulled a manoeuvre to save himself which was dishonourable at best.

Power flushed through his body a moment later, which caused Gohan to wince. Despite the surge of energy, the body which contained it was simply not what it once had been. Years of abuse to synthetic components onboard, components which had been in dire need of replacement from before he fought Turles, had lead to his frame struggling to suffer the strains of his own power. Synthetic muscles and bone which had been built to replace lost parts of his body from his years, upon years of piracy, now opened up on near full revolt.

For a brief moment, he swore his left arm stopped working entirely. After a spasm in the limb, and a fiery pain shot through it, he could feel the limb again, despite for a moment wishing he hadn't. Teeth grit together in pain, but his target didn't change. With strands of lightning rippling around him, Gohan appeared in the ring a second later, staring down his defensive opponent.

It was obvious obvious that Trunks was in a worse state then himself, at least the true Saiyan had that going for him. With a disgusted sneer, Gohan just stared down Trunks, almost unable to recognize the world around him. There was no God damn way, he was just defeated by this pitiful creature. Stone tablets which made up the ring floor began to rumble, as the multiple ton slabs began to rise into the air around them, electric sparks jumping between some of them as Gohan felt himself losing the edge of control he had. In that moment, he didn't care if he lost complete control. If anything, he wanted to, it would rid of him any feelings of responsibility for once.

"You lost," Trunks managed, holding his side as he did. "Get over-"

The words weren't completed as Gohan closed the gap between them faster then Trunks could follow, and simply chopped him into the ground in front of them, cracking the stones below. Shoving his boot onto the other Sayian's back a moment later, Gohan felt him struggle to rise, but simply kept the pressure on him, keeping him in place.

"I did not lose," Gohan hissed. "Did you think I couldn't have thrown you out of the ring that entire time? How dare you pull that kind of trick on me?! I'm-! AGH!"

Pain shot through his arm and left side, just as they had outside the ring. Every moment of maintaining the power he did caused another spike of agony. That pain began to spread to muscles long replaced on the right side of his rib cage, and in his right knee. The legacy of the pain he'd caused others. The only thing that kept him from letting the energy go, and trying to revert back to his more normal state, was his contempt for the other Saiyan under his boot. Managing to shake the pain from his face for but a moment, Gohan sneered once again, pressing his power forward once more, the spike in energy sending another wave of pain over him. But it wasn't without purpose. The ring itself rumbled until it seemed as if it'd buckle itself. Pushing pressure down on his foot, Gohan had ever intent of breaking bones in Trunks' body. In the pain filled haze, perhaps he even intended to do more then that.

Until a pain not born of his own power, exploded in his cheek. Stumbling off Trunks' body after the foot connected with his head, it took several moments for the Saiyan to catch his bearings. No longer focused, the pain became more real. Clenching his teeth again, Gohan stiffly stood there as he felt himself trying to maintain power, especially now. Across from him, standing over the body of the other fallen warrior who now struggled to move, was Vegeta.

"You lost," Vegeta reiterated. "If you wish to fight anyone, you can fight me."

It'd been a long time coming. Of all the arrogant creatures he'd wanted to put in their place, Vegeta was at the top of the list. Through his pain filled haze, Gohan could only look in contempt towards the father guarding his fallen son. Any plans for a battle however, were increasingly dwindling, as Gohan stiffly tried to get his limbs to respond to his commands. Anger and pain, began to give way to worry.

Any time he'd felt the ware of his body, any time his synthetics had been an issue, it was fleeting. The pain would disappear and his augments would just carry on. It was something that couldn't last forever, and that was becoming clear at that exact moment. The tremble in his left arm was impossible to ignore. The arm that was brutally torn off by Slug in his childhood. The arm which couldn't be fully fixed with just a healing tank, and was reattached with a series of synthetic pieces, from bone to muscle. It was the largest piece of him which was... unnatural. The scars were still apparent from where the surgeries took place to reattach the remnants of the limb.

"Well?" Vegeta demanded.

Pride.

It was something Gohan hadn't fully understood before he came to this planet. It was hard to say he truly had much. He gave off the impression he did certainly, but in truth he was a survivor. And being a survivor meant giving up pride when it was inconvenient. In his role on the Earth however, he'd certainly discovered his pride. He'd discovered what it meant to fight on even when it seemed hopeless. And Vegeta's demand for a fight, despite Gohan's own ailing body, was something his dignity couldn't deny.

There was no smile across Gohan's face, declaring himself the best. Instead, a pain filled sneer was written across his features.

"Fine, if you think-"

"That's enough," another voice broke in. It was Goku's.

Turning his head, trying to get his arm's trembling under control even as more pain shot through it. There stood his biological father, ironically the brother of the man who raised him. It felt impossible for focus for a moment as Gohan nearly buckled under the pain. It was impossible to conceal anymore. It etched in on the edges of his face and his arm's trembling only got worse. But to lower his power now meant he conceded that the little worm he'd been preparing to crush under his boot, had actually won.

"Stay out of this Kakarot," Vegeta quickly quipped, his voice filled with irritation as well.

"Vegeta, look, I'll get things sorted out with Gohan-"

The words began to feel emptier and emptier as the world began to haze further and further. Despite the golden aura and electricity around him, for all his power, Gohan felt himself slipping. Falling dead at his side, his left arm finally conceded to the agony of even moving. It was now his right leg which began to tremble at the knee, and before he could make much of sound of discomfort, everything slipped for Gohan.

Hair turned black and eyes followed suit. Unable to even stand correctly, the man who'd slaughtered billions across the stars, fell to his knees. It was only then that Gohan realized how much he was sweating. Even releasing his Super Saiyan form was gave a mild reprieve from the pain. Nearly falling over completely, he let his right arm move up, grasping at his left shoulder, which only added to the burden. It was different then just having a limb blown off, something he'd sadly become accustomed to. It was like fire under the skin, mixed with blades carving through his muscles. It was almost like every moment Slug was pulling on the arm, pulling the muscles out, but only cutting them at the same time as well. Only unlike before, where he'd experienced at least a relief from it all once his arm was fully torn away... it didn't stop.

The voices around him all blurred into the pain as well until he felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking up despite the blurs in his vision, brought on by the sensation in his arm, Gohan could see the eyes of Goku. Slowly, even as things began to fade for Gohan as his body desperately began trying to shut him down to save him from more pain, he could make out the concern in the other Saiyan's eyes.

"Gohan?"

And the world went black.

Babidi: Babidi's Ship

They were so close.

Every moment that passed by was almost unbearable for the wizard as he looked at the pod before him. Its rough texture on the outside betrayed the magnificence of what must have laid within. Within that pod, was the most destructive force in the universe, and something which could only be controlled through his magic, and his power. The Kais themselves trembled at the very idea of unleashing the beast within, a beast which Babidi knew full well would allow him to rule the universe.

It was said there were no equals in power to it. Even now that seemed impossible to imagine, considering the monsters he kept in his employ. Of all of them, Dabura was his right hand. A foolish enough creature now in his control, Dabura would eventually outlive his usefulness. In fact, soon enough all creatures would outlive their usefulness. The only thing that would soon matter was himself. Then all the slaves of the universe would grovel at his feet just for the privilege to survive, even the Gods themselves.

It would be as his father Bibidi imagined, only realized by his son.

Almost laughing out loud in a giddy excitement, the tiny creature realized he wasn't alone. The every stoic Dabura was to his left. Silently, the little creature cursed himself for getting so excited, if only because they still needed a great deal of energy to awaken Buu. The only reason he didn't consider using his crew, was in the case that the monster within its shell was too hard to control, and that he needed to pacify it, or at the very least keep it at bay until he could cast his spells.

It was when the Killi scale began to spike randomly that Babidi's attention turned.

"Oh?" he remarked, more to himself then anything. Rushing over to the scale, he saw the powers fluctuating on the planet.

He'd sent the two slaves, and fools, Yamu and Spopovich to harvest energy on this planet. Their own powers were insignificant, far less then one Killi even. If anything they were his blood hounds to find the best sources of power on the planet. Still, he grew further and further impatient until he began to see the numbers coming from the measurements.

Thousands of Killi. Thousands across two fighters. It was a dream come true for the little wizard. But then one of them began to rise further, and further. Dabura's own level was 6,000. One of them had already climbed over 5,000, and the other continued to rise. The scale itself began to wax and wane as it measured one of the participants.

Looking over to his large, red colleague, Babidi looked for an answer to what was happening.

"It's saying one of the warriors has over 7,000 Killi, and it keeps climbing," Babidi remarked, trying to understand where all that power could come from.

There was only one creature they'd encountered with that kind of raw power before. If anything, in some ways Babidi was excited. It would be easy enough to ensnare whoever held that kind of power and procure yet another salve. Perhaps this one would be more useful then his other slave was, who was too hard to control under the wrong circumstances.

"It must be an error with the calculations, even that power over 5,000 seems unlikely, master Babidi. This planet is filled with weaklings, what are the odds that it could produce fighters of this calibre?"

It was a true remark. And they had been deceived by false readings before. With a bright smile, the wizard simply looked at the reading.

"Oh that's all very good. Get the technicians in here to look over the Killi detector. Oh and Dabura?... Prepare for Yamu and Spopovich to return, and if they do not? Get a team ready to await the Supreme Kai. He and his pitiful pet Kibito are likely to arrive, if Yamu and Spopovich do not."

"Of course, Master Babidi."

Unknown: Planet Earth

There it was, the spike of familiar power all over again. For months he'd felt it off and on, but now he felt it without question. A power far more honed and intense then he could have imagined, but still all too familiar. It reminded him of his own waking nightmare. The passage of time did not heal wounds at all, especially for the creature that felt the power of someone who had ruined him.

The worst part of course, was that the brat was stronger then ever. The differences in their power were astounding, and certainly not in his own favour as well. Grasping an apple in hand, the figure took a bite out of it, looking ahead with furious eyes. After all that he'd experienced, after all he'd been denied, the very idea that somehow Gohan was given all of the power he could ever want, was just insufferable to him. Worse, it blocked his own plans, and that was before one considered the substantial powers other then the wretch.

Plans would be needed. The first of them that needed to be realized was his revenge, after that, the universe itself would bend the knee to him, and the legacy of his family.

Tossing aside the fruit, he walked to what seemed to be the edge of the Earth itself, looking out across the horizon as he felt the powers at work. In the Horizon he could see a glimpse of the future. With a grin slowly slipping across his pale features, he let out a cackle. There was always a great equalizer when dealing with creatures with as much power as his soon to be foes.

The power of a wish from the seven Dragon Balls.

Gohan:

Slowly, eyes breached open as light fill his world again. Wincing at it all, he raised his hand to block the light for a moment as he tried to keep it from his eyes as they adjusted. It took only a few seconds for him to realize he wasn't in the ring anymore. But where was he then?

Looking up, he saw only the red skinned freak which had come in with... Shin was it? The one that beast Piccolo? That made this... Kibito. The brutish looking alien was kneeling over him.

"He will be fine, at least his real body," the large creature remarked, standing at his full height. "Some of you isn't... you."

Taking in his surroundings, Gohan realized he was in the fighter's area again. Sitting up with a wince, still feeling a dull ache in his arm, he almost wanted to spit at the remark. The bio-synthetic cybernetic attachments under the skin may as well have been apart of him. The fact this creature knew about them seemed to be all the more evidence that they were dangerous.

But it was when he narrowed his eyes on Trunks and Vegeta that he felt his anger return. Before he could stand up and effectively charge the two of them, he felt a hand on his shoulder. Turning his head sharply to the left in order to lash out at whoever it was, he froze when he met the eyes of the one person he didn't want to anger or disappoint more then anyone in the world.

"Mom," Gohan said hesitantly.

In truth he'd almost completely forgotten she was in the stands. Worse, she'd been in those stands this whole time. It meant she'd seen the entire fight, and the aftermath of it. It wasn't that he felt bad for acting as he did, it was that he realized that his mother would feel that for him. Even now, he could see the relief in her eyes that he was okay, but at the same time he saw the disappointment behind that. It caused him to wince again, though not from his arm. Silently, he feared when she was going to speak. Her mere presence made Trunks and Vegeta seem irrelevant.

"You passed out in the ring," she said after a few moments, her voice speaking in its matter-o-factly way.

Quietly, he nodded in response, not able to look back at her after that.

"You fight like a monster."

There was the criticism he didn't want to hear. It was the truth of course, but it didn't stop it from stinging as she spoke. It wasn't meant to sting, he knew that. If anyone wanted to see his fortunes turn, it was her. It didn't mean she was an angel, but it did mean she was his mother. It was something she'd tried her best to do since the moment they were reunited. Fighting like a monster was in his nature now. Perhaps the only time he hadn't been, was when he'd been fighting for her when he stopped Turles.

It was impossible to respond to. All he did was swallow before keeping his eyes trained away.

"Look at me Gohan."

Muscles in his neck didn't respond for several moments, stiffly refusing to allow him to feel yet more disappointment. Eventually they surrendered however, and his head gently tilted towards her, before his eyes traced back over to meet hers.

With a sad smile, she placed her hand on his left arm, just over the scar. She remembered it was the one that was torn away from him all those years ago, and if she'd watched the battle as he knew she had, she would have seen him clutching it before he collapsed. Perhaps she didn't know the exact reason why it was hurting, but she did know that it was. Still, it didn't seem to matter that she was holding his arm in regards to her eyes. They demanded an answer to her statement.

"It's how I was taught," Gohan said, making an excuse for his behaviour.

The look she gave him however, clearly didn't accept the answer.

Looking away again, he sighed, feeling defeated for the second time in the day. It'd be so much easier if he didn't care. Still feeling her hand on his defective arm, he felt himself take another breath. How did he answer the charge that he fought like a monster, when it was glaringly true?

"It's all I know," Gohan answered, before looking ahead towards Trunks and Vegeta. "Even after avoiding fighting for as long as I have, it's all I understand. It is how I was taught, before I came to the Earth. I used to enjoy it. It was like a breath of fresh air on every planet I stepped foot on."

Taking in one more breath, Gohan continued with one last remark.

"Before I came to this world, it was an escape," he admitted.

He didn't have the courage to look at her this time, and he knew she could tell.

"You know, your father enjoys fighting as well," Chi-Chi's voice broke through his own thoughts. "But he doesn't fight to hurt people, and he's always fought with honour. He's the greatest person I've ever known Gohan, and I'd hoped after all this time here... after all the good things you've done for people, that I could have seen some of that in you."

Disappointment turned to shame as rapidly as the words were delivered. There was a sting on the edge of his eyes, but he ignored it as best he could. She'd wanted him to be like Goku? Of course she did, it was her husband and the man she'd had children with. It reminded him of an old wound he felt when he first realized who his parents were. The idea they wanted him to be someone else. Even now, he couldn't ever really be who they wanted. Where as before they made him angry that they even felt that way, now it just made him sad.

How pathetic.

Still, he quietly turned his head again towards hers, before giving her back the same sad smile she'd given to him. Even in her disappointment, he could see just how much she cared. Even when she spoke, it wasn't meant to lash out at him. It was voicing her own sadness. And without wanting it, or realizing it, a piece of her pain became his own.

Finding his voice finally, Gohan spoke.

"I'm just... I've got... I.." his voice disappeared as everything he wanted to say fell flat. He wanted to tell her something that would somehow make things right, but there just wasn't anything he could do for that.

So much had happened today. Running into the woman, Videl, and her daughter. Reuniting with his family again. Fighting against Vegeta's brat. Watching Piccolo concede. Before today, he'd almost completely ceased in fighting. He felt it'd only brought him more pain. During the battle itself he'd felt exhilarated, and enjoyed flaunting just how superior he was. Now? Not only did he taste the shame of defeat, and the bitter taste of anger towards his enemy, he also faced the disappointment of the person who'd helped change his life.

Around his waist, he felt his tail tighten for a moment before he continued.

"I'm sorry, mom," he then said. "I'm not as good as you want to believe."

For some reason, she brightened up at his remark. He didn't understand why. What could possibly make her happy about hearing how he failed to live up to expectations? Before he knew it, she kissed his forehead before pulling back.

"I know Gohan," she said after a moment, before he noticed the glint of tears in her own eyes. "All I care about is that you try."

It still wasn't something he fully got, but he felt his heartbeat slow and he felt the stinging feeling in his eyes get worse. Sitting up fully, he just nodded to her, unable to reciprocate her affection as openly as she had to him. In the last battle he'd almost forgotten himself, letting himself thrive in the kind of violence he'd lived on for so long.

"And in this corner, a mysterious fighter, new to this tournament! The mighty Kibito!"

Turning his head toward the fight, Gohan rose from where he was.

"And in the other corner, a former World Martial Arts Champion, Son Goku!"

"Let's watch," he finally said. "I'm sure you don't want to miss Goku's fight."

Looking out past the other fighters into the ring, Gohan stood next to Piccolo and "Shin", looking at the two of them briefly before looking into the ring. Seconds later, he felt Goku's power spike as he revealed his next stage. There was no kidding around it seemed. Super Saiyan power rolled off Goku's body in the ring as he ascended, and lightning followed as he pushed himself forward again.

This fight was going to be quite the battle to watch. Even if he was now out of the tournament, at least he could watch. Turning his eyes briefly over to Trunks, he glared for a moment, before looking back into the ring. Goku's power was incredible.

"Another warrior with indescribable potential," Shin remarked, looking into the ring. "Everyone stay back."

Looking to Piccolo, Gohan could detect how nervous he was. Looking back to Shin, he almost growled. Something was wrong. This fight didn't seem right, or on the level anymore. When he felt Yamu and Spopovich moving, Gohan knew something was wrong.

In the ring, Goku turned towards the two humans as they prepared to attack. In that second, Shin raised his arms and seemingly froze Goku in place. It was something Gohan only caught at the last moments. Spopovich grabbed the older Saiyan, before Yamu stabbed him with some sort of... device. In the ring, the Saiyan known as Kakarot's energy level fell almost immediately. He was dying in the ring.

It only took a moment for his mother to shriek in terror at what was happening.

The human warrior, Krillin, then shouted out.

"Goku!" he shouted, only to find Piccolo had grabbed him before he could charge to his friend's rescue. "Let me go!"

"Everyone stay calm," Piccolo ordered.

Piccolo was now in on whatever this was. Fury rose in Gohan's stomach before he turned to intervene.

"I told everyone you must all stay back!" Shin shouted.

It was then that Gohan heard his father's cries in the ring as his life was seemingly sucked from his body. Turning his head violently to Piccolo, Gohan sneered.

"You're supposed to be his fucking friend!" he spat furiously, before taking two steps forward. Suddenly he felt his own body almost freeze in place.

"You can't go in there!" the purple skinned creature shouted again.

Pain exploded in his arm again, as Gohan forced himself to transform once more. His artificial muscles hadn't recovered, but it didn't matter. Power began to ebb over his frame as he blocked out the pain. Turning his torso just enough, he pointed his hand out. If it weren't for the others being so close, he'd released a Catastrophe Gun right there. Instead, he gathered power into his palm.

"Wrong."

Discharging the shot, the purple coloured energy wave slammed into the tiny man's chest, sending him flying back and blasting him out of the back of the fighter's area, into the outside of the arena. The only regret Gohan had was that he'd not fired enough power to definitely kill him.

"Gohan wait!" Piccolo shouted.

Inside the ring, Goku's hair had turned black, and whatever device they'd stabbed him with, was flashing violently with power. The only response Gohan had for Piccolo, was the same he had for Shin. With a lightning quick motion, Gohan punched Piccolo in the face, sending the Namekian flying back through the building as well, sadly dragging Krillin along with him.

Turning back towards the ring, Gohan shifted out of his Super Saiyan form, if only to stop the ware on his body. Inside the ring, Goku collapsed as the two fighters took off into the air.

Like fucking Hell you're getting away from me!

Only minutes ago, his mother had spoken of how honourable his father was, and how she wished she could see him have a bit of his father in him. Before that, she'd said he fought like a monster. Well, even if she wasn't going to see it, perhaps he was going to be both.

The two humans blasted through the sky, getting distance from the island at high speeds, but they were nothing compared to how fast Gohan was moving. The two men had no clue. For one in particular, Gohan felt real contempt for.

The idiot who was now laughing.

"I can't believe how easy that was!" Spopovich shouted in the midst of his joyful bellow.

The bellow stopped immediately as the two were halted in the air, Gohan appearing in front of them in a blur of motion. Anger seeped into every pour of his body, as he stared down the giant one in particular. He'd warned him. He'd fucking warned him.

"I warned you, you piece of shit," Gohan said, his voice filled with fury.

This brute had beaten his daughter's mother, almost to death in front of her. Then like an idiot, he'd mocked him until he realized how strong he was. Well it was too late for second chances. Not only had he traumatized the little girl, he'd attacked the man his mother loved. Even in that moment it was hard to admit, but it was true. This man had attacked his father.

"Y-Y-Yamu! Get him away from me!"

Before another word could be uttered, and with a swift and violent motion, Gohan kicked Spopovich in the side with all his might. The body in front of him distended unnaturally as bones broke and flesh stretched unnaturally. Fat and muscle gave way before the body split through the middle, splitting Spopovich in two. His legs fell freely, blood trailing behind them in the now gore filled sky. The torso, along with Spopovich's shocked face, just spun helplessly through the air, rocketing in the other direction as a strangled scream escaped him in his final moments. The half corpse descended towards the ocean below, organs and blood trailing after him.

Turning his eyes towards Yamu, he saw the man shaking in the air, unable to move.

"B-b-b-"

Pointing his hand out, Gohan narrowed his eyes.

It was all it took to send the other man fleeting, holding the device in his hand. The device that had sucked all the power out of Goku and left him as a corpse in the ring. Narrowing his eyes, Gohan reached out with his power towards the fleeing figure. Concentrating, he let his mind do the work, cracking the container.

It took only a few seconds for light to begin flickering from the device and for Yamu to stop in the air.

"W-wha?" was shouted through the sky, before the container bucked under the strain of being compromised.

The sky filled with light, like a great eye opening in the sky. Force blasted out in all directions as clouds were pushed aside by the massive blast. Waves from the ocean crashed against the shore as the seas below seemed to separate.

Floating in the sky for several more seconds, Gohan just stared after the blast for a moment, before spitting towards the water below. That was two less problems in the world. Whatever they'd wanted that energy for wouldn't get it now. Right now, if anything, he needed to get to the ring again to see about making sure Goku was alright. He had to be alright, for his mother's sake, and the brat kid's as well.

The purple skinned mohawk, his red mullet wearing body guard, and Piccolo, all had some questions to answer.

Author's Notes:

To fan's of The Catalyst, don't worry, chapter 43 is being worked on. It's just going to be a really big chapter so I've really got to be in the right mood to write it. I'm trying to finish the Cooler battle in one chapter. But I've got lots of characters to work with. I'm 10 pages in right now and I don't know how long it'll go.

To fans of The Long Road. Congratulations! You get a new shiny chapter today. I couldn't sleep, and got inspired, so this got written.

Poor Yamu and Spopovich. We knew ye so little.

Reviewers:

Jack:

In terms of raw power, I'd say Gohan. In terms of being just the best fighter right now? Goku. He's a more skilled warrior then Gohan, has better experience, and fundamentally is more tactical. Gohan usually just overwhelms his enemies.

Dbzfan the first:

Thankfully Chi-Chi was around to diffuse him, or Gohan may have seriously hurt himself. Synthetic, expired implants just don't make up for real Saiyan Sinew.

Guest1:

I dunno about the latter, but he definitely deserved to beat arrogant Gohan.

Pyromania101:

Going all out, without the rules of the arena? Gohan would beat Trunks. Trunks just can't sustain the same effort for long, and Gohan can still have huge boosts in power if he loses control. It'd be a violent fight sure, but its a fight Trunks reasonably can't win.

Perfect Carnage:

Trunks defeated Gohan in his time, and this one. It just seemed fitting for me.

Delais Starlight:

Some of the biggest developments are coming this "Saga". Expect big revelations over the next 3-5 chapters.

Brograham18:

Thanks. :)

critic:

Uhm. I hope a "good nigga story" was a positive remark.

Johnny Spectre:

Big consequences to the last chapter, and this one. Just wait till you see what's coming up.

Masede:

There won't be a Majin Videl. I just find it amusing how worried people are that I threaten to make her a competent warrior. Which to be fair she is. I've noticed a great deal of sexism aimed towards Videl, or even people hoping she's going to somehow transform into a traditional love-interest. Which shocks me. Videl has a huge role to play in the story, just I wouldn't expect her and Gohan to get a white picket fence and house, and live happily ever after. It's just not possible.

Gan:

Don't expect to see Billis in this story. So uhm. Yea. But thanks for the review! :D

Eveline:

If Gohan's health held up, you'd have probably seen him fighting Piccolo, Goku, and Vegeta. Lol

xdevil-childx:

Not happy puts it lightly. Thankfully, Chi-Chi defused that situation after he came around. Though make no mistake, Gohan still holds Trunks in a lot of contempt.

xxxpossessedforlifexxx:

Gohan's going to have some smartass comments for trunks in future chapters, I promise. Lol

Peter1398:

Gohan's arrogance always appears when he thinks himself superior to his enemy. It's a huge flaw in his character. Its something Turles exhibited as well.

Anj3lik:

Hurrah for fallout! Lol

Guest2:

I agree. And don't think Gohan didn't learn something from it.

Guest3:

Trust me, Gohan's experience in this battle is vital for what comes.

Aqua Roxas:

Nope. Trunks totally legitimately won. Lol

ShadowLDrago:

Trunks learned to go SSJ2 in his own time, after the Cell Games and Bojack.

Brelic:

Both Gohan and Trunks were SSJ2, Gohan's just a significantly stronger SSJ2.

Infidel94:

Well, I generally dislike being cussed at over content which I provide people for free. I just write for fun. It's alright to not enjoy a chapter, I just dislike someone calling me a "fucking asshole". I'm glad you're passionate enough about the story to feel so strongly, but let's be real here man.

Gohan is an arrogant prick of a fighter. He thought he could blunt force his way through, and he wanted to humiliate Trunks. He let Trunks beat him because of his poor decisions in the fight. I won't apologize for how it was written, as it was meant to be written that way. You'll find a lot of fights like this in Dragonball as well. So, yea.

Guest4:

Neither could I wait. Lol

Guest5:

Let's not get too wrapped up in Saiyan genetics right now. All I can say is that in my stories, I have a real explanation as to how Saiyans and humans can intermingle their biology.

Guest6:

You weren't wrong. lol
