Hello readers. So… it's been over a year since I last updated this. Reaching to a year and a half even. Yeah. Sorry about that. I didn't mean for the unofficial hiatus, nor was I silently canceling it. It's just that I had trouble writing for a bit, to a point I was barely able to focus on the main fic I'm doing; "Class 78th Watches the Future", if you don't know.

Thankfully, I'm finally able to get out of that funk. I started another fic, a Pokemon one called "A Whole New Timeline to Live in", and it seems to be slowly helping me get back into the writing spirit (Seems I just needed to do something new and fresh). So hopefully, it won't take me another year to update a chapter here… but I'm not gonna promise anything.

Anyways, let's get on with the chapter. Here will be the beginning of the first arc; The Ninja vs The Suitors. I hope you guys enjoy.

Disclaimer: I do not own To Love Ru or Naruto.

Chapter 07: Arc 1 | The Ninja Vs The Suitors Part 1

"So the two of you really are living with each other?"

After the tour given to Lala, and Naruto's prank on the group of boys, Lala, Naruto, and Riko walked home together. During the walk, Lala's previous statement about the two living together came back to orangette, prompting her question.

"Yep." Naruto confirmed with a nod. There's no use trying to hide it now, considering Lala's reveal and the fact they're walking home together. Plus, it was bound to be revealed anyway at some point. "It's a temporary arrangement until she's stopped being chased."

"Not unless we get married, Naruto-kun." Lala countered, happily clinging onto his arm. "Then we'll live together forever!"

"Yeah, yeah." The blonde replied with an eye roll. "Try to steal my heart first before making claims like that."

"I plan to!"

Riko's eyes twitched a bit in jealousy before shaking off the feeling, another question popping up in her head. "But… what about her family?" She asked hesitantly. "Couldn't they protect her?" She REALLY hopes that she isn't broaching a sensitive topic.

"It's… complicated." Naruto replied, rubbing the back of his head with his free hand. "Lala has something of a falling out with her parents, mainly her pops. That's another reason why she's staying at my place."

That, and the fact that her pops is the one chasing her around, in order to get her married to one of the many suitors. But there's no need to reveal that little detail, nor the details about her being an alien. Thankfully, there was time to explain to Lala why they should keep the details to the bare minimum.

Meanwhile, Riko flinched, feeling that she did indeed breach a sensitive topic. "I-I see. Sorry, Lala."

"What for?" The pinkette asked, tilting her head curiously. "You didn't say anything wrong."

"W-Well, I mean…" Riko stammered, looking away. "Isn't it a sensitive topic for you?"

"No. Not at all." Lala shook her head. "I don't hate daddy or anything. I'm just frustrated with him, that's all."

"I… see." Still, the orangette decided to not to breach the topic any further, at least for now.

Soon after, the three got to Riko's house. "Well, we'll see you tomorrow, Riko-chan." Naruto said, giving her his usual grin. "Hopefully there's less surprises then. Unless they're fun ones."

That got the girl shaking her head, though she was smiling. "Later, Naruto. Lala." With that, Riko turned and headed back to her house, while Naruto and Lala continued walking to the Uzumaki household.

During that walk, Lala started pouting at Naruto, something the blonde noticed. "Is something wrong, Lala?" He asked, the question driving a bigger pout.

"You call Riko, Riko-chan." She pointed out.

The ninja blink. "Well, yeah. We've been friends for a long time. I call a lot of my female friends that."

"You don't call me Lala-chan." The pinkette countered. "We're friends, aren't we? And I'm planning to be your fiance too!"

The last part got Naruto blushing a little. "First off, again, I haven't agreed to anything." He said once again. "And second, sorry about that. So you're okay with Lala-chan, Lala-chan?"

That got the girl beaming, a blush forming on her cheeks. "Hai!"

'Definitely takes it better than Riko-chan or Yui-chan.' Naruto thought with a chuckle.

Like with the Yuuki household, it didn't take long to reach Naruto's home. However, just as they got to the front, the door suddenly flew open…

...and a body flew right out of that door. Said body crashed right in front of Naruto and Lala, revealing itself to be none other than Zastin.

The two teens blinked a few times, as they processed what just happened. "Zastin?" Lala called out in surprise.

The knight, who seemed to have several scratches on his armor and bruises on his skin, groaned and slowly looked up from the ground. "Lala-sama? Naruto-dono?"

"That's us." Naruto responded back, before narrowing his eyes. "What are you doing here? I thought you said that you weren't going to force Lala-chan home now…"

"I did, and I haven't been ordered otherwise." Zastin confirmed, slowly getting up from the ground. "I came here with a message. But-"

"And where do you think you're going?" The knight stiffened and turned white at the voice inside the Uzumaki household. At the same time, Naruto and Lala turned towards the doorway.

And walking out was Kushina, in her shinobi garbs, her hair floating in the shape of nine tails, and a katana in her hand. Also a serene smile that is filled with rage. "Zastin-san, correct? Don't go anywhere just yet. I still haven't finished punishing you for daring to hurt my sochi."

(With Riko)

"I told you that this might happen at some point." Mikan stated blankly a depressed looking Riko. "A girl could show up and fall in love with Naruto, and would be much bolder with those feelings than you."

When Riko got home, she told her younger sister about the new pink-haired student and her goal to marry Naruto. The younger sister, while surprised at how fast this girl is trying to go, was not surprised that Naruto managed to attract yet another girl. She's aware that her surrogate brother is a natural charmer, and she often tried to encourage Riko to take the initiative. So this situation didn't surprise her too much.

In response to her sister's words, Riko groaned and curled up into a ball. "I know, I know! But confessing isn't as easy as it looks, you know!"

"Yeah, yeah." Mikan replied with an eyeroll. "Well, at least you have some time to confess, since it sounds like Naruto-nii isn't returning those feelings right now."

"But what chance do I actually have?" Riko cried out, comical tears streaming down her eyes. "Not only is this girl gorgeous, but she's capable of confessing her feelings! Even when Naruto doesn't return those feelings, she still declares her goal of marrying him! She has all the confidence I don't have!"

That little rant to herself seemed to make orangette even more gloomy. So with a sigh, Mikan moved towards her sister and grabbed her by both shoulders, before giving her a sharp shake. "Get a hold of yourself!" She barked. "If you keep this up, then you'll definitely lose Naruto-nii!"

The shake, along with her words, caused the older sister to look up. Seeing that she got her attention, Mikan continued. "This girl may be as pretty as you say, but you're a knock-out yourself. Plus, you knew Naruto-nii for years, much longer than this Lala girl. You still have a chance to win his heart! You haven't lost yet!"

Riko looked at her sister pitifully, though there was a spark of hope within those eyes. "Y-You really think so?"

Mikan nodded firmly. "All you need is to build up some confidence." She stated. "Once that happens, you'll have a much better chance to win his heart! We just have to find a way to build that confidence!"

She isn't gonna let some random girl be the one to win Naruto's heart. Not only does Mikan want her sister to be happy, but having Riko date, and eventually marry Naruto, will officially make her brother figure her brother-in-law! An opportunity she cannot pass up!

So she's going to do all she can to support her hopeless big sister.

(Uzumaki Household)

"So you have no plans on fighting any of us in the near future?" Kushina asked the nervous looking Zastin, looking stoic. They, along with Naruto and Lala, were in the living room; with the Uzumaki family and the alien princess sitting down while the knight remained standing.

"Yes, that is correct, Kushina-sama." Zastin replied, looking quite stiff. Though after having his nearly nearly end mere moments ago by the woman in front of him, neither teens could blame him. "Seeing that I'm not ordered to continue fighting, and that Lala intends to marry Naruto-dono, there's no reason to continue our previous conflict."

Kushina let out a humm, looking in thought. After a moment of thinking, she nodded in acceptance. "Then what are you doing here, if there's no plan to force Lala-chan back home?"

"To bring a message." The knight placed some sort of a bone-looking device on the table, a crystal floating over it. "It's from his highness, Emperor Gid Deviluke."

That gained serious looks from both Uzumakis. "Lala's father?" Naruto spoke up. "What does he want to say?"

Rather than say anymore, Zastin activated the crystal. Once it started glowing, a dark voice spoke from it. "Hey, Naruto Uzumaki. Zastin told me of how you fought off him and his men, as well as Lala's choice in marrying you. Got to say, I'm impressed; not many can fight against Zastin like that, let alone one of you puny humans."

Naruto and Kushina merely narrowed their eyes, not intimidated by the voice nor letting themselves be insulted.

"And for now, I'll approve of Lala's choice. After all, there hasn't been any other suitor that held her attention like you did." The Emperor continued. "However, know that other suitors, contenders for the throne, aren't just going to accept this. They're going to come to Earth, to get rid of you and take Lala away."

"It's up to you to protect my daughter from all of them; and at some point, I'll be coming to Earth to test you. If you fail to stop the candidates, or fail my test… then I will destroy your planet. Be sure to remember that."

With that, the communicator deactivated, the crystal falling back into the bone-like device. "His highness is very serious about the matter." Zastin stated to them seriously. "He once destroyed the planet of a noble who insulted him; there's no doubt that he would do the same if you fail."

The Uzumaki duo were silent, their heads down and their hair covering their eyes. The silence made the knight frown, wondering if the emperor's message scared them to the point of giving up. "Are the two of-"

"THAT BASTARD THREATENED TO BLOW UP OUR PLANET?!"

Zastin yelped and backed away at the two furious looking shinobis, both of whom had gained sharpened teeth and slitted eyes.

"If that SOB thinks he can threaten us like that and get away with it, he's got another thing coming!" Naruto roared, slamming his hands on the coffee table. "Once he comes over here, I'm gonna shove a Rasengan way up his ass!"

"Not if I get to him first, Sochi!" Kushina exclaimed furiously, her hair floating around once again. "Forget about kicking him, dattebane; I'll just go and rip the thing that makes him a man!"

The knight paled and stepped back at the absolute righteous fury stemming from the mother and her son. Having first-hand experience on how they can do in a fight, the strongest swordsman of the entire galaxy couldn't help but feel just a tad terrified, seeing the two so furious.

Kushina mostly. The beating he received from her is still very fresh in his mind.

"I'm… I'm sorry." Both the mother and son duo, as well as the knight, turned towards the pinked-haired princess. Said princess had quite the guilty look on her face. "I should've known papa would do something like that. I was kinda hoping that since I chose someone to marry, papa would stop all this; but I guessed that was too much to hope for."

Her apology earned a sigh from Kushina. "Don't blame yourself, dear. You can't control or predict what your father would do." She comforted the girl. "And besides, that message doesn't change much of anything; our goal is still to shelter you here, for however long you like."

"Mom's right." Naruto nodded in firm agreement. "I don't care who comes our way. Whether it's assassins, mercs, knights, or those princes who won't take a hint; we'll take on anyone who tries to take us on, dattebayo!"

Seeing the two's resolve in protecting her caused Lala to start up. "Thank you…" She said, sincerity clear in her voice. "I'm really glad I met you two, Naruto-kun! Kushina!" Her reply was a sheepish grin from Naruto, as well as a soft smile from Kushina.

Zastin, who had a smile of his own at the scene in front of him, decided to cut in by clearing his throat. When he saw that the focus was back on him, he continued. "So from this moment, I advise you to be careful Naruto-dono. Kushina-sama." The knight said, looking serious. "There will be various ways in which the suitors would try to kill you, or even take Lala-sama from your protection; so you best be prepared for anything."

The knight was met with serious looks from the family. "No need to worry for us, Zastin-san." Kushina said, a cold smile across her lips. "We are shinobis; we are prepared for anything and everything. So anyone that tries to come after us…"

"...will wish they never did." Naruto stated, a vicious grin entering his own lips.

(Next Day)

You know, with all this build-up of these suitors, assassins, and other threats, he was expecting something challenging. A bit excited even. He thought he would see the best the galaxy would have to offer, from the deadliest assassins to the toughest guards and knights.

Not… whatever pathetic excuse of a prince he was holding in his hand.

"That's Ghi Bree. He's one of the worst of my suitors! I rejected him a thousand times, yet he keeps asking for my hand in marriage!" Lala explained to him, pouting angrily.

The two of them were at the gym storage building, where Naruto had confronted the small alien in his hand. The little bastard was trying to lure one of his friends here, disguised as one of the teachers, Sasuga-sensei. So he intervened before that could happen, and confronted the imposter right in this room.

At first, the guy tried to intimidate him by transforming into a larger and more scary-looking monster. However, Naruto, being the trained shinobi that he was, was far from scared; and saw through the henge, as well as the intimidation tactic easily.

And all it took to take him down was one good punch. He wasn't even putting all his strength into it!

"Are all these suitors as weak as this guy?" Naruto asked, as held Ghi Bree in front of him.

At that, Lala hummed in thought. "Umm, some are, but I don't think all of them are." She answered. "Ghi Bree is probably the weakest of them all."

'He better be…' He and his mom didn't prepare extra security just for these small fries!

"I can't believe it…" The small, pain-filled moans coming from Ghi Bree, gained the attention of both the ninja and the princess. "My plan was ruined before it began… didn't even get the chance to grab either of those girls…"

"You plan suck." Naruto said flatly. "Even if you were successful at grabbing any one of my friends, your plan all banked on the idea that I would think that you were capable of killing them or fighting me. You didn't even think that I would see through your bravado, and that one average punch would put you in this sorry state!"

At that point, Naruto was rapidly shaking the small alien, a big vein right across his forehead. Ghi Bree could do nothing but let out small yelps as he got shook around.

Letting out a sigh, the blonde ninja calmed himself and stopped shaking the now dizzy alien. "So, what do we do with this guy now?" Naruto asked, turning his head towards Lala.

"Oh, I can get rid of him easily!" Smiling, Lala pulled out her phone. "Slosh Slosh Wrap-kun should do the trick."

With a few taps of her phone, a giant, weird-looking toilet suddenly appeared from thin air. "I'll just flush him out with this and he won't be on Earth." She then grabbed Ghi Bree from Naruto's hand, before dumping him into the toilet. "Don't you dare come back to Earth, Ghi Bree!"

With that, the tiny alien was flushed from the planet. '...Okay, almost pity the guy now.' Naruto thought blankly, as the toilet vanished and Lala put up her phone. 'Almost.'

"Honestly, are all your suitors as slimy as that guy was?" Naruto inquired, crossing his arms. "He didn't even care whether or not you wanted to marry him." The guy said so himself, during the beginning of their confrontation.

"Yeah, a lot of my more persistent suitors were really annoying…" Lala admitted, a small pout across her face. "No matter how many times I said no, they would always come back."

'Isn't that what you're doing?' Naruto remarked idly in his mind. However, he knew that there's a clear difference between Lala's pursuit for him, and those suitors' pursuit for Lala, so he refrained from voicing that. 'Still, with guys like that, no wonder she ran.' He wouldn't be surprised if the girl took her toilet teleporter and flushed them out of her sight whenever she's in those interviews.

"Well, a few knocks to the head should give them the hint." Naruto stated confidently, raising up a fist to emphasize his point. "I just hope the next guy is a challenge. I didn't prepare myself for a fight just to beat losers like that midget!"

Lala could only giggle as her crush gave his complaint about how weak Ghi Bree was. The two then started walking out the storage building, with the blonde ninja childishly complaining about the so-called 'fight' while the pink-haired listened on with amusement and fondness.

Neither of them noticed a small ball-like drone watching through the windows, before withdrawing to the skies.

And that's the end. I hope you guys liked this chapter, and don't mind how short this is. Think I'll stick with these shorter ones for the time being, if only so the task of writing each chapter won't feel so daunting. Anyways, review, favorite, and follow and I will see you guys later.
