She was His; no question about it.

As she drove home she was fuming!

'What the hell is wrong with him? Can't he go one day without pissing me off! He abused this patient, was rude to another, skipped clinic duty Argh I have had enough. It's not like he does it once in a while. It's everyday. And then everyone looks at me as if WHY IS HE STILL HERE! And honestly why is he still here Lisa? Because you love him? Am I letting my personal feelings get it the way of being a good Head of Medicine? No! I would never. My whole life has been revolved around getting me here. Achieving what I have achieved. 2nd youngest Head of Medicine in the state and first women. No man can change that. No man can take that away from me. Some have tried but all have failed. What makes this man any different?'

Too lost in her thoughts Lisa Cuddy drove into her drive way totally oblivious to the motorbike parked under the tree in front of her house.
She walked up to the front door with every intention of going straight to bed, sure that anything she did would make her think of him and just make her annoyed even more.
When she reached the front door she was surprised to find a long stemmed red rose taped to the door with a note saying:

Forgive Me

She couldn't help but smile as she took the rose and the note and walked inside. She flicked the light switch, no lights came on. She flicked it a couple more time just to be sure.
"Bloody powers out" she hissed to herself. She looked down the hall and could see light seeping out of the dining room. A little scared she kicked off her heels, which were killing her feet, and headed down the hall. She could feel something under her feet but it was too dark to see what it was. She reached the dining room door and push it open a little. Rose Petals. That's what she had been walking on. All fear she had before left as she walked into the dining room.

She gasped. Her dining room floor was covered in rose petals, as was the dining table. On the table stood a tall candle letting of a romantic feeling to the room with the tiny bit of light it was letting off. The table was set for two with food already on the plates.

Lisa feels a pair of arms snake around her waist and a voice in her ear.
"What took you so long? Dinner almost went cold"
Lisa turned around to face he lover. Placing her hands on his chest she looked into his eyes. She pulled him down into her for a passionate kiss. When they pulled apart she looked over at the table and back at him. "You're forgiven." Was all she could say before he kissed her again. When they ended the kiss he rested his forehead on hers. She stared into his eyes.
"I love you Lisa Cuddy." She smiled
"I love you too Gregary House" She said as she parted from him. Her hand moved down his arm and took his hand. She led him over to the table and sat down.
Maybe she was wrong. Maybe she was letting her personal feelings get in the way of her being a good Head of Medicine but she didn't care anymore. This man was different. This man she loved. This is the man she would throw everything away for, including her job. This is the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with and she is the women he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
She smiled as she brought a hand up to his cheek. He smiled at her.
Oh yes this man was different and he would not fail because he had already won her.
