"How much longer?"

Wakko Warner pressed his face against the oven window, watching a delectable looking pizza bake inside. His older brother, Yakko, placed on a pair of oven mitts. He smiles at his younger brother.

"Just a few more minutes." Yakko says as he gently shoves Wakko aside and opens the oven. The smell of pizza fills the room. Both brothers come close and smell the yummy aroma. They sigh.

Yakko checks the pizza over. "Yep, not too long now."

As he closes the oven, making sure Wakko doesn't get his hands caught trying to sneak it out before it is ready, Yakko looks out the kitchen. "Dot! Pizza is almost done!"

Not too far away inside the water tower, Dot Warner was staring at the wall in her pretty pink room. She looks out the room door.

"I'll be out there in a minute!" Dot calls out. She returns to the task at hand. Finding the blasted tick noise.

Tick, tick.

Dot snaps her head to it, holding her hammer up high. There it was again. She'll show it!

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Yakko and Wakko jumped in the air the second they heard that. Wakko looks at his brother.

"What is she doing?" He asks.

"No clue baby bro." Yakko says walking out the kitchen and heading over to Dot's room. "I'll check it out."

Upon getting closer to their sister's room, he spies Dot inside and facing a new hole in the wall.

"Oops, overdid it." Dot says, poking her head into the hole. She raises a brow realizing she could not see the outside. Instead she found a metal wall within. There was at least a few inches of open air where she could poke her head in before touching the metal wall's surface. Yakko then pops his head into the room.

"Remodeling?" Yakko says, walking into the room.

Dot turns to him. "I wish. It's that same ticking noise that keeps coming back. It keeps annoying the heck out of me."

"It's probably the pipes." Yakko concludes and draws his sister away from the open wall, grabbing her hammer. "I'll check it out later. For now the pizza calls us!"

"Gluten free?"

"Always." Yakko nods.

"Great!" Dot skips out the room. Yakko tosses the mallet onto her bed and walks after her.

"It's an interesting turn of events, Bob." A newscaster on the tv begins. Wakko had flipped on the little tv in the kitchen and was watching it with boredom.

"As of two days ago, Dr. Anderson still remains missing. Clues about his whereabouts remain scarce as of yet."

"Booooring." Wakko moans and grabs the remote, flipping the channel to a commercial.

"Eat Branimaniacs! Nutritionally, it lacks-"

"That's even worse." Wakko groans and hits his head against the counter.

"Nothing to watch?" Yakko asks as he and Dot enter the kitchen, Dot going to sit at the table.

"Just news and junky commercials." Wakko moans, lifting his head up and flipping the channel once more.

"They're zany and totally insaney! And they're back on tv! The Animaniacs reboot is what everyone is talking about!" Some lady on a talk show began with a cheesy smile.

"Now this sounds promising." Yakko says, grabbing the remote and bringing up the volume on the tv.

"Of course it does." Dot says as she watches from afar. "That's the third talk show to debut our comeback."

"But tonight I have with us an actor who claims she was originally going to star in the original Animaniacs episodes way back in the 30's!" The lady from the tv goes on. "Allow me to introduce Melody Cattington!"

"Huh?" All three Warners say and in seconds are crowded around the tv with their faces against the screen.

On the tv, the camera moves over to a set of chairs beside the lady's desk and shows a female toon cat. She had the blackest of fur and wore a pretty red dress. She sat daintily in the chairs with a simple smile on her face as the audience clapped.

"Tell us Ms. Cattington." The talk show lady says. "The Animaniacs tv show was not the first piece of entertainment the Warner Brothers had starred in. Originally, they began filming in the 30's, but those episodes have been lost due to time. You're telling us you almost starred in the original lost episodes?"

"Yes, that's correct." The feline purred with a voice like honey. "In my early years of acting, I had a contract with Warner Brothers to begin filming as one of the starring roles in the up and coming Animaniacs cartoons."

"Yakko, is that true?" Dot asked her older brother, who was staring at the tv screen with the feline's face closed up on. "I didn't know we were gonna have a co-star."

"Dottie hush." Yakko shushed his younger sibling.

Dot folded her arms. "You better be glad I left my mallet in the room!"

"Dot shush!" Wakko persisted. "They're still talking."

"How outrageous!" The lady went on. "Now, I'm here to assume that this would never be the case, is that right?"

"That's right." Cattington nods. "I would never star in that episode. The studio completely threw out my contract the minute the Warners were casted into that damn water tower."

"Oh yes, we all know about the scandal." The talk show lady says. "Tell us, Cattington-"

"Please. Call me Melody." The feline smiles. "Cattington makes me sound so old."

The talk show lady laughs. "Of course. Now tell us, Melody. Many actors and Warner Brother employees were quite aware of the Animaniacs scandal, were you one of these people?"

"Oh, I was quite young when the scandal happened. I never even met my co-stars." Melody admitted. "But yes, I was told like many others to keep the lost episodes under the wraps as you might say. They threatened my very career after all."

"Might we have clarification on this, Melody?" The talk show host asked. "Who is they?"

"Oh, of course! My first director. Weed Memlo." Melody admits. "I was never quite fond of him, even in the little time I did know him, but just as the CEO threw out my contract with the studio, Weed Memlo threatened worse if I ever spoke out about my co-stars."

"How terrible!" The host exclaimed.

"Yes, I was quite terrified of the man." Melody says. She shakes her head. "I never forgot that conversation. He would threaten and I quote "Make me the laughing stock of the film industry". Oh it was horrible putting up with him in the past. It's why I moved companies right afterwards."

"What a smuck." Dot grumbles. "Threatening that nice old lady."

"I never knew we were gonna have a co-star." Wakko said, backing away from the TV to look at his siblings. He crossed his arms with a frown. "I hate Memlo! We could've had a co-star!"

"And a pretty one at that." Yakko said, eyes glued to the screen. Melody was still talking to the tv show host, but Yakko had long since stopped listening. He was too busy looking over the feline, admiring her beauty. Such an awful thing to have happened to her, and even worse that they were the last ones to find out. They never got to meet…

Yakko clapped his hands together, an idea forming. "I got it!"

"What?" Dot and Wakko asked.

Yakko faced his siblings. "What do you say about going on a little field trip?"

"Where are we going?" Dot asked.

"To visit our fine feline friend!" Yakko said, pointing to the tv with Melody on it. "I think it's about time to meet our once co-star!"

Wakko nods. "I like it!"

"Then what are we waiting for?" Dot said.

Each Warner zipped out the kitchen and out the front door in seconds…just in time as the oven dinged. Just as quick, Wakko zipped back into the kitchen and placed on the oven mitts.

"Can't forget this!" Wakko said aloud and took out the pizza. He ran right out the kitchen once again and followed after his siblings with a hot and ready pizza to go.

It was time to meet Melody!
