"When a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower."
- Alexander Den Heijer
Chapter 7
"O-umf!"
A hackling near painful cough interrupted the near peaceful silence which mere moments ago surrounded the female form currently trying to not choke on her mini secret chicken biscuits (totally given by the strangely understanding panda of her 'what-the-freaking-hell-you-carnivorous-herbivore' snack preferences. And boy oh boy was it a fun conversation when she could totally eat meat. She thinks the panda may be of the opinion that she's either an alien or another new creature all together, hah.)
The suns warmth from her open curtains had her wanting to comfortably snack in front of the TV while leaning half of her body over the incredibly soft giant couch chairs arm rests, while she curled her legs upwards towards her chest.
Enjoying the sunrays from the afternoon's sunset with a small red plate of chicken biscuits curiously shifting channels- then boom.
Wide eyes half shiny and blurry from the overflow of tears- holy shit what the Hell! she hurriedly wiped her blurry sight with the thick material of the long sleeved sweater covering her left hand, her right hand fumbling with the remote control after cleaning off the excess remains of biscuit crumbles on the napkin over her curled up lap, rising the volume steadily.
Sienna gawked at what she was seeing on the screen, coughing lightly behind her hand and clenching the remote with the other, oval ears perked high and attentive, fur standing on high end like a bristling feline, not that She knew that.
Oh my god. Ohmygod.
"-ock it was indeed, to have received numerous emergency calls from students and teachers alike here in Cherryton Academy when a fellow classmate who, at this moment the Academy would like to remain anonymous, attacked his herbivore classmate in a fit of instinctive uncontrollable rage."
...She swallowed, fisting her hand against her pursed snout as she uncurled and sat up straight, wide eyes half watery due to her intense focus on the news cast.
"Numerous students have been injured in this situation where they bravely attempted to stop the brutal act, thankfully succeeding when one managed to hit the student on the head numerous times enough to finally subdue the other and have him go unconscious, long enough for the authorities to come and retrieve him. Right now, we know the wounded students have been taken immediately to the hospital for emergency care due to their injuries, and the unstable student has been taken since last seen with our police officers."
The almost monotone of the female Zebra announcing all of that confidently would have been more believable of being unflappable if Sienna couldn't visibly see the trembling in the lady's taller figure, even the nervous fidgeting and wide blinking panicking eyes was in contrast with her monotone voice.
"At this moment, there have been no further reports of any deaths fortunately, and this situation was stopped miraculously by the brave students of Cherryton Academy. We have received word that due to the nature of what happened, and for the mental stability for all students, the school will be temporarily shut down as an investigation is presently being pressed by the families of more than half of the students of the academy, and the students themselves. Right now, this is all the information we know of, but we'll be in contact with the school and the authorities to hear back soon as to how everything will process with this situation. Back to you Mitsuna-san." The lady tightened her trembling hands around the mic, huffing out tremulously and ears flickering downwards, though to her credit she kept the monotone voice.
Sienna was just trying to process what was just said, absentmindedly lowering the volume when it switched to a lean masculine black jaguar in a suit as she felt the warmth of the sun once again all of a sudden.
Huh.. Guess her abrupt anxiety had her body pressure lower like crazy in a second..
Siigh. Well Shit.
That's... when she gave Legoshi that advice a month ago.. she didn't quite realize that he'd actually, well...do something about it.
At least, not from what she could vaguely recall of his personality type in the manga.
Sienna had hoped he'd maybe speak to a counselor about it, or someone that had the power to be able to Do something about what may or may not happen.
As she couldn't dip her toes in any paint, less she end up on any authority eyes, which is a big no-no in her books. Especially since she's Still learning how to go Home.
Not.. here. In this bi-pedal anthropomorphic world. A huff of pure exasperation escaped her, leaning back against the couch while tucking in her legs close to her chest, damn you Legoshi. If you're one of those in the hospital... she swears she'll- do something Nefarious when she thinks on it.
Her eyes glanced down sadly at the last of her chicken biscuits all over the floor, the red bowl thrown on its side.
The chicken biscuits...
An irrational spike of irritation zapped through her, you made me throw the Last of my chicken biscuits Legoshi. The. Last. There will be retribution.
What the Hell even Happened there? She needs to talk to someone that was actually There...
Sienna groaned to herself, "Noooo", scrunching up her face and pushing herself face flat against the couch in a pose full of Nope.
Today was supposed to be Chill Day. Day-to-Chill, not Day-to-find-out-baby-would-be-murders.
Should she? Augh.
Maybe Legoshi was in the hospital...? That poor fluffy cinnamon roll..
A huge fifty part of her was saying Screw That, lettsgo! urging her to go check up on him now that she knows the most recent crap that happened, while the other fifty half was such a giant Nope, because of all the cons that could happen...
(Out of sight, out of mind had never worked so brilliantly before. Damn it.)
Hmm.. then again, its not like anything too bad can happen, plus maybe there won't be too many visitors? Since the 'Situation' capital S required occurred maybe few hours ago in the morning.
Nobody knows her too, which will be a huge advantage on her part. Her nose wrinkled at the thought of playing to some foreign herbivore instincts so that others won't be suspicious, yeaah no.
"What happened?"
Sienna grunted at the newly entering Gouhin cave man style, the only unconscious response she could afford since she couldn't multi-task worth her life and was thinking way too many things at once.
Why did the bear who had reached the end of his tethers at Night and tried to kill Tem Then, snapped Today? Literally in plain view in Daylight? What the hell happened in that span of a month the first and last time she had seen Legoshi? Had he talked with anyone else? Did something else happened to make that other animal snap Now?
She Literally Only spoke Once with the wolf! Once!
Could that small action somehow have had a butterfly affect? How the Fuck even? Did the bear take more medication? Did Legoshi Speak with the bear and cause him to snap? Or was it something else?
Her head raised instantly in a sharp realization with a dramatic gasp, what were they going to Do to that young bear? It wasn't exactly his Fault. Could they take blood works at a hospital to get the evidence showing how he wasn't exactly stable due to those medicines he was taking? A psychologist better be appointed to him. And a damn better Psychiatrist.
Soft texture on her forehead had her blinking out of the swirling thoughts inside. "Oh.." Gouhin removed his finger from the poke he gave her, she pouted at him from under her lashes, narrowing her eyes humorously. "Can't believe you just Itachi'ed me", she mumbled half-heartedly, giving him an upwards quirk of her lips. Sienna knew Naruto didn't exist here, these poor uncultured creatures.
What they were missing.
Instead they had something similar enough to the manga called Gakuto... which- she had saved both first and second volumes yes don't judge her. Sienna needs to survive on Some type of entertaining literature while she's busy cocooning herself against every other negative thought going against her going Home.
There's only so much she can take of false hope over false hope before it starts getting kinda salty for her.
Anyway-
By now he knew which character she meant, after the long informational conversation she deemed necessary to give him the last few times he forehead flicked her or patted her head with an almost, dare she say, Fond care...
-Ookay dangerous lines shall Not be crossed, lets go back five steps and two more just to be careful.
He responded with a low questioning grunt, leaning back against the counter near the couch with crossed arms, barely two feet away from where she was slouching unashamedly on the arm rest nearer to him.
Sienna glanced at the closed door from which of course he entered, "yes, please do come in," she dryly stated, silently exhaling a huff from her nostrils when all he did was to raise an eyebrow and curve his snout into an unrepentant smirk.
Not that she really cared since he always knocked and made sure she was decent before entering. Guess she was too out of it again to notice- "So?" His glance towards the news showing some other type of political animals verbally fighting made it clear what he was asking.
She hissed; not unlike that of an irked cat who's fur was pet the opposite direction, or a vexed snake who's nap was interrupted.
Gouhin only humored her with an indulgent hum, peering at her from beneath the darkness of the fur surrounding his observant eyes.
He was by far used to her expressions and ways of reacting after almost two months of providing for her and assisting her in trying to find out more about where she came from, and How she arrived.
A put upon expression on her Lovely face (this animals face was actually quite pretty with how the white fur around her eyes looked like white eyeliner, how the white fur started below her jaw and grew from there downwards, the white fur lining her ears; it was incredibly weird to know it was Her face now. And body. After the intense observation, she's pleased and casually concurs to resolutely never look at another reflective surface in this place again. Denial is not just a river in Egypt, and she's an expert in rowing mental boats-) "Legoshi may be in the hospital and the animal that attacked was taken by police custody."
Gouhin evidently was used to her usage of power word 'animals', not bothering to respondd and waiting patiently, like always.
Resuming after dragging her hands over her stiff face and leaving them there, voice lowered to a gentle murmur, "The attacker is but a young high schooler who made a mistake, and because of some damn faulty medicine he's forced to drink he's going to be freaking crucified. Legoshi may or may not be in the hospital, and I don't doubt its the former. And I really really want to talk to some psychologist or a police officer and just, I want to know this will be taken care of correctly because what happens originally is such a shit fest because fucking government is the same fucking Everywhere."
Sniff.
Oh my- she's so Irritated that she's freaking Crying out of indignation and Rage from the inability of not being able to do Anything...
A surprised squeak leaves her snout when she feels texture and pressure beneath her chin making her rise her head upwards, blinking past the tears still falling and narrowed eyes stubbornly gazing back at the contemplating expression on Gouhin's face. Not caring how the tears kept dragging downwards to her chin, leaving his furred thumb and index finger slightly damp.
"And who said you couldn't do anything about it?" He raised an eyebrow ridge.
Wha... hot rage cooled all at once from the abrupt confident question he just raised.
Hmm...
"Should I use my Secrets?" She responded seriously.
Yes, he had given her a tiny stun gun with more than enough power in it to shoot down a giant lion. She named the weapon Secrets, in honor of her goal in her past, of wanting to model for Victoria Secrets. It's funny how using it in the context now sounds more like a pokemon attack.
"No. That is Not what I meant, missy." He gave her the patented Look, one which she just stuck her tongue out at.
He smoothly slid his fingers away from her chin, leaning back against the counter again crossed arms more tightly held from the way some muscles bulged a slight bit more than before where he was more loose.
Sienna blinked in confusion. Da hell?..Did she offend him? It's not the first time she's done that, so maybe something else happened? Her nose bunched up, something which her species instincts would have picked up on, she assumes.
"There's no law indicating that you don't have the free right to visit injured parties in a hospital."
For Real?! Her jaw slacked open, "But won't they only allow family members to visit?"
"From what you've explained, you know the kid pretty well. You can go visit as a friend."
Oh..
Ohh..
She hadn't... her mind didn't quite remember that she could use that... Sniffs.
A warbling laugh, "I'm an idiot." she deadpanned to herself, feeling all warmhearted inside in the comfort of having such a dear understanding companion in this foreign world when Gouhin's large hand gently pet her over the head, hearing a snort beside her she side glanced at him. "Too emotionally distressed to remember common sense."
"I will bite you."
He chuckled low before flicking her again on the forehead, ignoring her petulant glower.
"What about the psychologists and psychiatrist? For the other student? The bear?" Sienna turned around to stare thoughtfully into the bluish yellowish sunset, the warmth long gone as the city's lights blocked most of the stars from showing in plain view. Her gaze flickered to different buildings lights from outside her window, feeling strangely melancholic yet nostalgic at the view from the apartment window, half the darkening sky and half the city's lights. Her apartment window was similar, but much larger than this one... and it had a tiny balcony in which she'd sit at and just sip hot chocolate while gazing out at the view..
"You don't need to involve yourself with that situation, Sienna" oh no, not the first name basis, "It's considered a concern to the correct authorities-"
"-Which will do absolutely Nothing and hide behind god knows what lies and use Riz for their own means!" She snapped upwards with a harsh smack of her tightly held fist against the arm rest, heated up all over again as she kneed on the couch, facing a completely placid faced Gouhin who's narrowed gaze centered on her own narrowed determined spiteful one.
She felt such loathing for the way things were playing out, and not exactly knowing what to do except the one choice which would actually put her right in front of the eyes of the animals she least wanted to know of her. Irritation seethed inside her but she didn't hold back and didn't allow her face to fall from staring directly in Gouhin's eyes, challenge as it was be Damned.
He only hummed casually, narrowed expression taking in her whole self who was practically vibrating in shivering righteous angered restraint.
And she knew, she Knew she had a miniscule pending problem with her anger, but it was within good reason always! The calm way Gouhin stood, in a casual loose yet ready for whatever action may be next- had her feeling irked despite herself right now. She respected the giant panda like no other, but the polar opposite way he held himself compared to her when it was against her (thankfully its only happened a handful of three times- this being the forth- but-), all cool tones while she blew hot had her feeling like- she didn't know! She felt like she wanted to freaking Scratch him, or Do something to make him react back to her- then again- she thinks it'd be quite alarming in a way since he's always so in control of his instincts-would he slam her down..? Bite her neck to assert domina-
NO. Nononono- What the Fuck mind! Okay sure, Sienna isn't blind to attraction- and yes she loved her animes like any other proud otaku. He's an animal though? Well- She's an animal too- But right Now? Companion! He's her Companion right now! The. Hell. Does this have to do with her instincts? Are they waking up and attacking her right now? Oh my god, can he Scent any of these things-
"Who's Riz?"
The screech of her thoughts bundling to a cold halt was an instant relief and she loosed the uncomfortable tightness of her fists, laying her palms against the couch rest absentmindedly curling and uncurling her slim digits, similar to when kittens would do the same to comfortable blankets.
She plopped back down, snout edge curving down while doe eyes stayed somewhat distant.
Riz...
Wow, it's been awhile since one of those lighting fast memories slotting into place. She felt a bit like her brain was slightly tight from the sudden uncomfortable compressed space now being squished inside. Pieces fell into place despite their tight fit and she had more realizations with these new memories than she'd have liked in the span of three seconds.
No wonder Sienna now had a pounding headache slowly but surely increasing in rhythmic ache.
"He's the.. a bear student, the one who attacked. It's still annoying and I'm this close," she made a small space between her thumb and index finger, "to just saying screw it and jumping out my own window." An inquiring grunt on his side, "another influx of information. It's just been two weeks since the last one, so that's why I think my head hurts more now than before." Her voice ended in a more lower volume to not make the abrupt headache worse.
Sienna honestly tried to not think too much on Legoshi and the impending Situation which would have kick started the whole series into place.. since she kept on getting anxious on not being there, unable to help, what will happen?
It's worked so far she thinks.. she's had so many other things in mind that it all just fell behind.. until now.
"Can I talk to the people who have him hostage right now?" Sienna tilted her head slightly in question, directing her curious gaze towards the calculating Gouhin who hasn't shifted from his pose except to lean more languidly back, arms loosely folded together over his chest.
A stifled rough laugh sounded, "Who's a hostage, oi...you need to remember you're not a god in this world. Despite what you know, there may be things that happen anyway, no matter what you do to try to stop them." His voice had sort of gentled on the end words but were no less blunt and frank, perceptibly accurate in how the words were like daggers to her rapidly pounding heart.
The pounding of her headache leveled out faster than she thought was natural beforehand, receding slowly the more the silence around them stretched in a comfortable but telling way.
He's more of a softie than she thought..
And she knows.. she Knows what he said is true.
That doesn't mean she can't Try.
"Doesn't mean I can't Try. I will try." Her eyes peeked up at him subconsciously, narrowed large dark orbs under black eyelashes peered up with stubbornness etched intensely in every feature of her face and body straightening unthinkingly, rising to an unknown challenge under Gouhin's intense contemplating face staring down at her.
He smirked suddenly, Sienna blinked and plopped back down on her butt not knowing when she had risen again to her knees on the couch and feeling strangely out of touch with her own body?, "I didn't doubt it. Aren't you going to go?"
"..To?"
"To where your first kid is."
Her nose wrinkled.
"He's not my child." She, nevertheless, knew Exactly who he was talking about, and threw her face up in the air and away from him cheekily since he once again jokingly called the young wolf a kid (not that he's not Wrong on that account compared to him but still. It's the principle of the thing.) And first kid? Then who's the se- Oh you've Got to be kidding me. Riz? Yeah, she's not touching that situation yet, at least until she's seen Legoshi.
"Will you be going with me to visit our child?"
"...Don't even joke about that, fucking hell-"
Her free laughter flowed through the apartment loudly sounding over the exclaimed curses, utterly enjoying the most disgusted and creeped out face she's seen on the giant pandas face as of yet. Vindictively relishing the genuine subtle disturbed look, ha. Eat me. Aand not the best expression to use in this world, ahem.
"Oh yeah, and we need to pass by that market place to get my chicken biscuits, please thank you."
"..Don't ever say that in public."
The echoing of Sienna's Yes, yes was what she responded with as she focused on getting changed out of her pajamas sprinting to her room and putting a hand over her silently laughing mouth at his exasperated louder growl.
The white short sleeved ankle length summer dress with pastel yellow daffodils swished across her long legs, and she twirled unexpectedly with arms wide out grinning widely to herself and dancing out of the way of a small group (herd?) of small female looking sheeps, and the only reason she can tell they're female are because of their brown uniform skirts, not even noticing the strange looks they each gave the taller slim doe that quickly moved with an envious precision to her steps, similar to that of a dancer or a model. With a pair of white tennis shoes and not even carrying any type of purse, she made for a perplexing figure since she had the figure and look of a herbivore, but the posture and the way of walking was all confidence and easy nonchalance from the outside of her focus, which drew more eyes than the slim doe knew.
Not that Sienna cared enough to pay attention to those she by passed swiftly, she was more focused on heading straight towards the hospitals location.
Giving a twirl here and there out of nowhere, well, Gouhin didn't have to know.
Nor that she had almost ran into like four to five animals (three were obviously herbivores and the last two were taller carnivores), before high tailing it out of there with an easy apology and a charming smile, not allowing for more than a second of talking on their part before brushing off gracefully.
See? She could be easy going, Sienna's not That bad at keeping her calm. Gouhin should totally be proud of her for not biting off the head of the first dickwad that gave her a luscious glance of hunger (and she means that literally) or proposition's from the small group of younger male carnivore fox and feline students who thought themselves 'cool alphas', only to squirm away in unsettling silence when she gave them a cold narrow eyed stare. They perfectly got the look in her eyes, 'I will jump at the first one who dares any shit.'
"He is here? Oh no, is he alright?" She placed her clasped hands over her bosom, giving the female white cow manning the front desk an expression of pure concern.
Sienna wasn't faking her concern, per say.. more like.. giving it a nine when she's at a solid five.
He's Fiinee... he.. kinda Has to be..?
"Yes, he is, no worries young lady." The lady cow reassured her with a professional smile, oh thank god, her hands automatically covered her face, giving a large relieved exhale.
He's alive, it's fine, he's okay, everything's still alright.
"Are you also one of his friends? Legoshi-san has been receiving quite a few visitors since he arrived. We've placed him in the same room as his friend since they arrived at the same time and know each other enough for it to not be a problem. The other students who came in with the two have been placed in different rooms, if you would like to know..." Her smile gentled at how expressively worried Sienna must look, the female chital doe only bowed her head and thanked the lady softly, asking if she'd be allowed in to visit Legoshi as well, glancing at the clock in the back wall, noting it was six twenty five.
"We do have a strict limit of only three visitors each visit-" Sienna's ears flopped down beside her head so fast it had the white nurse cow give a small pause from the suddenness and the adorably almost childish look of dejection on the younger female herbivores body language, "-but because two students have left, you can go right in." Oval ears stood straight back up in abrupt attention, wide gleaming eyes full of relief and thankful to the white cow nurse that simply waved off her honest thanks with a warmer smile, less professional but still nurse like.
"Thank you so so much!" She bowed respectfully, half a full bow and smiling back at the way the nurse easily went back to her work right after waving her off.
Her genuine smile softened to a tiny thing when she was in front of the door with the number she was given, realizing that she forgot he wasn't alone, and forgot to ask who was with him in the room.
Well.. can't exactly do anything about it Now.
Wing it.
Her slim arm opened the door slowly, peeking in and feeling blissfully relieved when there were no visitors surrounding any of the two beds in the room.
And there on the white colored bed nearest to the long closed window was Legoshi, the curtains still opened showing the lights of afar from the city below, the dark sky covering less than half of the glass panel. Bandaged heavily over his left side, especially more over his neck and chest, arm in a plaster cast which had a few written words in different writing styles and funny tiny drawings on it already, do doubt the cause being his friends who had come to visit, alongside the gifts and flowers in the corners with notes.
His friend on the next bed was someone she instantly realized and felt so so bad on how he got there. Jack, the sweetheart friend of Legoshi. Who's looking thankfully less full of gauge, but so dead tired and messy furred all curled up like a child under thick white hospital blankets that he didn't even twitch when Legoshi seemed to notice her appearance before she could announce herself and stuttered outright, pointing his clawed finger at her with rapidly reddening features and wide shocked eyes.
She's still wonderfully mystified by how the even heavens that type of blushing on fur thing is even possible, but not something she'll be worrying about. Nope.
"Rude!" Sienna chirped cheerfully but not too loud, happily smiling openly when he brought his hand down in an abrupt motion, clenching the thin white blankets covering his lap only, though both boys looked to have changed clothes to the hospital gowns required.
Legoshi's snout clicked shut, eyes narrowed down at her though in intense concentration and not in anger, thank goodness.
"How are you feeling? Both of you?" Her voice lowered in a soft tone, gently closing the door after walking through, running her narrowed concerned eyes over both of their figures, slowly sitting down to the side from where the taller wolf's blanket covered thighs are and vaguely noticing how the wolf tensed somewhat in an uncomfortable way.
Was something like this the result of the change? Did this Have to happen? Would it have been worse if she Had not have said anything? Or is this the better result? Legoshi and Jack and who knows how many others in the hospital and Riz God knows where.
Poor Jack... her heart felt torn in different directions, and maybe its because they're animals that it fucking hurts more.. she's always been more sensitive and definitely suffered more whenever it was an animal in pain...
Look at his ruffled fur, she's Sure it must have been dirty with blood or dirt before but they must have cleaned it.. and he looks so exhausted even deep asleep.
And not even speaking of Legoshi, even though she knows he can handle himself somewhat better- Way better than Jack due to his instincts, he could have been killed.
Flashes of what the wolf will go through due to- to trying to be together... couldn't they just be together like That? Why must he be the only one to change his ways? Because he's the more dangerous one with the instincts?
Useless frustration, throbbing piercing pain, bundled together and oh she can't see in front of her-
"Why do you suffer so much for me? For us?"
The kind low voice made her blink, hot tears overflowing down her cheeks without her noticing as she turned from her view of Jack to next to her, a tilting his head wolf looking much more relaxed than before, though no less curious, glancing to his friend Jack and then back to her with the most open and kind expression she's seen on his face. (not that she's seen many honestly.)
"Sienna-san.."
She closed her eyes tightly, ignoring the hot tear tracks continuously forming under new tears.
"How did you know?" The whisper of his question in the silent room felt like a beginning to an end. "At first, I.. didn't know what to believe. You sounded so.. sure. Even though you're a stranger, my instincts- all my instincts never let me feel one hundred percent safe after you told me that. I... didn't Want to believe these weird things by such a strange herbivore. But I didn't exactly have a choice after that," The word sounded a bit bitter in his explanation, she cringed but kept her eyes closed and head turned back to a deep sleeping Jack, "...in a way, its the only thing that saved us."
Her eyes snapped open in a frozen shock but she stayed in her position.
The only thing that... Saved them?
"So.. thank you, Sienna-san."
Fresh hot tears flowed down, she's just relieved they're all still alive oh god what if something Worse had happened, ears lowered tightly low almost to the point of trembling pain, she raised her lowered head at the startling warmth from a spot on her upper arm. Legoshi's hand was laid gently over her arm, head still tilted but expression thankful and a bit awkward with warmed cheeks.
Such a young expression, what a kind soul..
Sienna's face scrunched up in a new pain, giving into her human self and slowly wrapping herself around Legoshi's lightly tensing form, not in anything else but youngster awkward young male energy. One arm went around his neck carefully, the other around his head and ears, leaning her upper body over his, just letting her forehead drop with a small pop onto his less injured shoulder.
Why why why.
Hot tears flowed and he made no gesture to move, not even twitch at the liquid that must be staining his gown and bandages. Only slowly lifted his bandaged hand and pat her on the back in a comforting way.
Few seconds later, maybe a minute, she.. wasn't counting and wanted to Damn it, Stop crying.
"I'm glad you're alright. That you're All alright." She stated in low tones, sniffing as the patting paused, and then resumed. Legoshi mumbled something but she couldn't hear it- that's right, she had shit hearing apart from not having her instincts on too.
Exhaling a hot breath from her high emotions and ignoring how his fur stood on end in a traveling shiver that lowered straight afterwards, she slowly began untangling herself from his form, he immediately followed the same as always a gentleman but she caught his face once again with her warm palms before he could lean further back.
"I want to tell you more Legoshi. You're in the eye of the storm, and I want to try my best to Help in any way I can..." his posture was resigned and more eased than she's seen him be in her presence, open eyes now watching her intensely and curiously, not hiding his emotions nor broadcasting any tension in their close position with his ears relaxed and flickering randomly.
"Don't have anymore of that cheese mind now, thank god." Her snout curved upwards in an miniscule warming smile at his completely confused expression.
"The information I have of certain things are more.. organized in my mind." No need to tell him her life story of how she basically had no memory more or less about two months ago. Or how she used to be human... mayybe later?
Sienna sent him a pointed gaze and raised eyebrow ridge. His dawning realization hit only seconds later, giving her a slow nod of understanding.
Such a good boy! Such a fluffy fluffy boy. Low hummed coos instinctively let out and she gave him a loving pats on the cheeks like an elderly would, smiling delightfully at his embarrassed indulgent expression.
In an abrupt move, the slender chital doe lightly tugged Legoshi closer by her palms still on his jaw and cheeks, leaning her forehead against his and nostalgically remembering how she used to do this so many times with her babies back at home, just the thought had fresh hot tears easily appear but she held them back with will strength and closing her eyes tightly, no more crying today please, No More.
"Thank you for trusting in me." Her watery tone had the taller wolf exhale slowly out his nose, instinctively letting his half lid curious and abashed eyes slide shut, just allowing his instincts to guide him for this moment, just this moment. When this moment feels so.. compound.. so genuinely warming. He felt strangely comforted yet protected at the same time, and it was the strangest yet nicest feeling he has ever received when he's listened to his instinct.
"What the Hell is going on here!"
Legoshi flew back with a yelp and wow thats Really red cheeks and damn he almost hit the wall, gotta be careful.
Sienna just sniffed and casually wiped her excess tears that she had on her face, ignoring the icky odd sensation of damp fur from her hands to her face, while glancing at where the angry female yell came from; offhandedly disregarding the wolfs stuttering panicking voice-
The cutest white rabbit stood with an enraged face, cheeks all red and eyes glaring holes at both of them, hands on her cocked hips and white school skirt flared out, all in all an indignant pose.
Quick subtle glance up next to the white rabbit stood a male deer, casually leaning his shoulder against the opened sliding door leading to the room, arms crossed carelessly but posture all straight and business, school uniform easily recognizable being the same as the still panicking wolf next to her. The white rabbit now had her narrowed round eyes locked onto him, the deer still calm as the breeze, though with a subtle raised eyebrow and tiny curve of the lips, a discreet amused smirk.
She shifted her serene gaze back to the non-stop stuttering of Legoshi and raised her hand in a quick motion, flicking his nose lightly.
The reaction was instantaneous and ahh how she misses her babies. He instinctively yipped in surprise more than any real pain, rashly placing his hands over his nose in a protective gesture, giving her a narrow eyed stare though it felt more like a sulking pout to her, since she assumes he must instinctively feel in a way rebuked.
Her hand lifted and she patted his head, giving a small nudge to his warm flickering ears, removing her hand and placidly giving the now even more angered rabbit with clenched fists at her sides and fuming features a more than warmer and genuine smile than what the situation should warrant (at least on their end). The incredulous raised eyebrow ridges of the male deer lowered in a familiar analyzing way.
"You, young lady, are just the most adorable white rabbit I've ever seen!" She tried not to squeal, she really really did. But. But look at how smoll and her ears are sho long and she looks so Fluffy!
The dumbstruck look on their faces meant they expected something Completely different based on what they saw only minutes ago. And simultaneously their ears laid back at the same time, oh whoops. Guess her squeal got out accidentally.
Of course she wasn't going to let them think it was anything other than what it was. Affection for a dear companion in which reminds her of her Old companions.
Maybe she could get them to click faster than in the manga? Where they went through so much crap...
"Did you just.. smoll?" The fact that Louis didn't deign himself to even utter the word but instead mouthed it made her smile unashamedly bright.
Haru was blinking her eyes rapidly, giving her an incredulous and face full of disbelief. Louis went straight to suspicion, thanks.
Legoshi let out an amused tired chuckle, more of an exhale of resignation than anything, but much more calmer than before, which, good enough for her.
"Shh, we need to be quiet. Jack still needs his rest."
The motherly tone in which she inflicted in her words, and then the tender and emotionally melancholic way she gazed down conflicted at a still half comatose Jack spoke volumes. Making Haru and Louis even more confused because wasn't she Legoshi's something?
AN: Thank you all so much for still following and reading along to this story!
I'm so sorry for appearing and disappearing at random times, I really do love all the stories I create and I hope to continue resuming them and getting back that motivation to resume! I love creating and writing, so I'll keep on adding, maybe new stories, maybe continuations of the stories already written.
Thanks again everyone for being Really patient and to those who keep foll/fav/rev!
I do think Sienna Has gotten calmer since that month ago when she went out, thankfully she doesn't resort to 'jumping-at-first-disrespect-bite-them-with-blunt-teeth' anymore I think lol perhaps she's being unknowingly trained by Gouhin? Oh man xD
Sienna seems to think of everyone she knows in animal terms for which she just wants to cuddle and snuggle and give them all love! (Well, maybe almost everyone? Who knows? Gah XD)
She still wants to go help Riz... oh boy ^^'
Hint: The comforting of a human is in a way instinctive to an animal, or dangerous. It depends on the animal and what the will strength of Sienna's Soul is at that moment.
Thank you guys who have taken the time and reviewed your thoughts onto this story!
(I try to respond back in PM's since I feel awkward responding here lol)
I'm glad you guys have liked the story so far! And hope you enjoy the new chapter! ^^
