At the Gates of Hell

I stand here at the gates of Hell,

Lost without you by my side.

Sesshoumaru glanced to the left of himself, seeing Kohaku with no emotion on his face or in his eyes. It was just strange to see a child act in such away. He then looked to his right, wanting with every fiber of his being to see a little girl with a strong and determined smile on her face. The smile that showed she would do anything for him.

But I will find you, and bring you home,

Where you are safe and warm in your bed.

Yes, he, Sesshoumaru, would bring his daughter back home. Back into the living world and way fom the terror that lies within the depths of Hell. In his heart he would rejoice for her return, enough to show her that if he were the kind, he would hold her close to him in order to show he cared.

With the sound of the unsheathing of my sword,

And my silent battle cry,

I run into the firy pits of the Underworld.

He glanced at Kohaku and nodded for him to follow if he wished. Without a backwards glance he walked into the gates, going not only for strength and power, but for the love of his child.

The ambery sparks lighten up my hair as I run to find you

My daughter, my light.

I run as fast as my tired legs can take me,

And I... I... I finally found you.

It felt as if his powre was draining from him. The UInderworld was sucking small jists of powers from his very being. He growled low in annoyance, but it stopped as his eyes caught a small orange clad figure lying on the edge of a cliff. Unmoving.

You were there, lying on the dry ground, your eyes closed.

I picked you up and held you close

As you whispered my name.

You used your last breath just to say my name.

Sesshoumaru ran to Rin's side. Determined to reach her. He kneeled beside her as her big brown eyes looked at him with all the love her little heart could hold. "Lord... S-Sesshoumaru..." she whispered lovingnly. She hugged him around his neck with a smile, and then went still as Sesshoumaru gripped her closer.

I cried for the first time that day.

He stoppped his sudden movment and tried to bring her closer to his body. As if his warmth could make her heart start beating again, make her small chest move up and down with the breath of life. But nothing happened. Nothing but the lone tear that traveled down Sesshoumaru left cheek in the dismay and sorrow that on feels when losing the only person they would truly die for.

Gosh... that's rather sad isn't it? Hmm... I did a sad poem and I didn't end up changing it into a happy one! YAY! That's two! WOO HOO! lol anyways review and tell me if you liked it or not!
