I'm so sorry about the really late update today but again it took a lot of debating with myself to decide how to end this!
Solanos's Pearl : Great Instincts!

Happy reading!
And as always thank you for sticking with me 3

Narcissa knew that the only way to bribe a goblin is with something they had once made themselves. She met with Griphook and presented him with old Goblin made bracelet that had been passed down through generations of blacks.

"Yes… this will do…" Griphook said reaching for it but Narcissa snapped the case shut and pulled it back

"You will get it once my sister and I have left the bank safely after conducting out business…" She said ensuring that there were no loopholes

"If you leave how will I get it?" He asked baring his teeth

"You can come meet Mr. Burk here, he will ensure you get it after I let him know that our business is done…" She said

"Very well, tomorrow then…" Griphook said and skulked out of the shop

Narcissa left the store via floo.

Head Auror Friedrich Gerhard made his scheduled rounds of Nurmengard prison. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. He checked all levels and then chose to visit a very special prisoner hidden deep in the bowels of the prison. No one suspected that they had a man in an invisibility cloak following them through the entire visit.

Once inside the secure corridor leading to the prisoner, Auror Friedrich ordered his guards to wait out there. He and his invisible guest walked up to the prisoner. If this prisoner didn't have magical shackles subduing his powers, Friedrich would never even have raised his wand against him. The prisoner was Imperiused and covered with the invisibility cloak. The polyjuiced replacement took his place.

The replacement was instructed to drink the potion only just before mealtimes to ensure that the prisoner was not missed. He had been given enough potion to ensure that this escape would not be discovered for the next 3 weeks at the very least. By that time there would be no suspicion against Auror Friedrich.

Friedrich lead his invisible companion out and side long apparated him to an isolated location where Lucius Malfoy was waiting for him.

"Here you go…" Auror Friedrich said taking the invisibility cloak off the prisoner "He's still got the magic dampening shackles on, I suggest you keep them there…"

Lucius gave a nod and held out a rather heavy bag of Galleons for Friedrich "And the other matter?"

"Yes, we are close to catching him and when he is caught, I will accidentally grab a Portkey that will deliver us close to Wiltshire…" Friedrich said

"Good… Thank you Friedrich… It's always a pleasure doing business with you…" Lucius apprated to what looked like an old mountain road leading nowhere.

He walked down the path and if a muggle was watching, he simply disappeared. Hidden behind several charms and spells including several muggle repelling charms and the Fidelius Charm was a grand medieval knights castle. Just like the manor it was spread over a large area with sprawling lawns and yet there was not a human being in sight. As Lucius and his guest entered through the grad doors, a house elf popped and bowed deeply and followed Lucius and the guest as they made their way to the east wing…

"Welcome Master Gookey is making all the arrangements… We has Master in the usual room and for the guest in the east wing as mistress advised… Gookey is making traditional chicken soup for the sick guest…" Gookey finished

"Good…. Leave us…" Lucius said shutting the door to the east wing behind them. The elf disappeared with a pop.

There was a row of rooms and portico at the end of the hall that overlooked the gardens. Once they were inside the bedroom, Lucius lifted the Imperius curse.

"Lucius Malfoy I presume…" the guest said looking at him "and what do I owe you for rescuing me from that hole in the ground?"

"It's an honour to have you as a guest in my home." Lucius said seriously "I hope that once I remove these" he said noting to the shackles "that you will listen to what I have to say…"

The guest cracked a smile and held out his hands

Lucius used the charmed cylindrical key that Auror Freidrich had given him to release the shackles "The east wing is all yours. You will find everything you need in these rooms. I'd like to tell you however that the wing itself is heavily warded." Lucius finished

"So I've just gone form a cell in Nurmengard to a more comfortable one." The guest said ominously rubbing his wrists as the shackles came off. Lucius and he stared at each other then the guest cracked a smile "Gellert Grindelwald thanks you for your kindness… Now…What are you expecting in return?"

There was a pop as Dumbledore landed outside the village of Little Hangleton. Instead of making his way up to the abandoned manor, he turned right and walked towards the broken forlorn structure of an old hut on a side road leading to nowhere. He came to a halt outside it. He examined it throughly and then waved his wand muttering an incantation. He felt hot and then a sudden chill passed through him, but it seemed like some of the invisible wards had gone down. Sure of himself he took a step forward but he still couldn't get inside.

Dumbledore walked around the broken structure of the cottage. He ran his hands along the walls, that's when a few runes began to glow on the back wall. He looked at runes and tutted. He then used his wand to give a shallow cut on his palm and rubbed the blood onto the wall. The runes glowed momentarily, Dumbledore smiled satisfactorily and stepped in. He looked through the wreckage but found nothing much until he looked at the ground. There he saw it, the shadow of a long forgotten scared geometrical shape. It took him a minute but he recognised it as the flower of life. He sighed, he knew he couldn't get this lock open.

If it had to be opened it would need Voldemort himself or a blood relative to open it. Which seemed completely unlikely. Little did he know at that very minute there was an unlikely discovery being made.

When Hermione got in, Parvati and Lavender were busy gossiping about the rest of the school, especially those at Madam Puddifoots shop. It had been a long day but a near perfect day. Hermione smiled as she thought about the reaction her dorm-mates might have if they found out about her. She changed and got into bed and began to read the letter she'd been carrying around all day

Dear Mione,

I hope you are doing well. Give my best to Harry and Ron. How are things with Draco and Blaise? I hope you are indulging in all the teenage experiences without the drama and other improper behaviours.

Hermione smiled and rolled her eyes at her mother's indecision between being happy for her and being… well a mother. The rest of the letter was just an update about their life and some older patients who Hermione had gotten know in her younger years. What came next was something that would change her world forever.

I know you said this didn't matter much the last time we spoke but it got me thinking. We never meet my sister or your father's siblings and your cousins very often. In fact since you are away, you don't even get to come for the birthdays and other such things. I realised you barely know your family. So I'm attaching a family tree for you with a few tid-bits about each person. At least those of whom I know about. It goes back a few generations. I hope you enjoy it.

Hermione was touched. She pulled out the second sheet and unfolded it. The family tree dated back all the way to her to parents grand-parents. There were adorable tidbits like always wanted to be a lawyer and ended up marrying one for her aunt, or currently pursuing anthropology as an excuse to stay away from home about her cousins. Suddenly, she dropped the sheet in shock.

Her Grandmother,
Her father's mother…
Grammy Mary…
Her maiden name…
it was RIDDLE.

Her grandmother was the daughter of Tom Riddle. The Half Sister of Voldemort!

Mary Margret Riddle
(Eloped with your grandfather at age 15! She was the oldest and got disinherited. A year later I think, everyone from the family just died mysteriously so naturally everything came back to her! Talk about Fate! They have a manor in little halgington that is lying in ruins. Your grammy never cared for it. She said the place gives her the creeps. The locals say there's a curse on it or it's haunted or something. Even their old caretaker Frank died a couple of years ago. Your father was going to go see it, but we've been so busy we've just been putting it off.)

Hermione picked up the paper and read it over and over again. She didn't believe it. It couldn't be. She could not be Voldemort's Grand Niece!

See you next week! (or sooner if i get time to write a little)
