Jordan- 13

Once Hank made sure Vladimir was secur in Stateville and made damn sure he wouldn't be a danger to Jordan, the older man had set off for New York. He would finally be able to bring his little girl home.

He had set off early the next morning, he left for New York at 4 am and drove all day. He wanted to go alone so he can have time with his little girl and so the others can set up for the surprise welcome home party for her.

Meanwhile

In New York, the SVU squad had a serial rapist on the loose. Olivia didn't feel comfortable having Jordan around all this stuff and she didn't wanna go against Hank by having her around it.

She had brought the young teen to one of the kid's play rooms. Olivia flipped a light switch. "Sorry it's not ideal but I hope it'll do"

The teen smiled. "It's fine, it's nice in here"

"Make yourself at home. Either I'll check on you or I'll have one of the others check on you"

"Thanks again Olivia"

"You're welcome sweet girl"

Olivia had left going back out to the squad, Jordan looked around and grabbed some paper and color pencils as she started to sketch. The older woman had gone back out to her squad.

"Where are we?" Olivia asked her squad.

"Nothing yet, we got Amy Riley giving a sketch now" Amanda answered first.

"Any DNA or evidence?"

"None, sicko most likely used a condom" Fin said next.

"Is Jo ok Lieutenant?" Carisi asked.

She looked to him with a small smile. "She's fine. A little home sick but fine"

They all had got back to work. The time passed quickly, Fin had ordered pizza for lunch for everyone. When it got there Fin took some and some soda taking it to Jordan. The teen was still sketching she'd been sketching most of the afternoon.

Opening the door, the older man smiled. "Time for lunch kiddo"

Looking over she returned the smile. "Sounds great, what's for lunch"

"Pizza"

"Smells great, I wonder if it'll beat a Chicago deep dish"

"Let's see"

He brought it over to her and sat it down, the teen moved her drawings out the way as she started to eat. "Thanks Fin"

"No problem kiddo"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Anything"

"Is Fin short for something?"

"It's short for Odafin. You could say I was never one for my full name"

She chuckled. "I'm the same. I don't like my full name, unless I'm in trouble I hate it"

He glanced at her drawings, she passed them over. "You can see them if you want"

"These are amazing Jo"

"I have a lot of hidden talents, I got bored one day and I started drawing. When my dad saw them he said my mom used to do the same. He said I'm like her in many ways"

"I bet that you are"

As the others worked on the case, Hank had arrived in the squad room. Carisi had gone to him quickly. "Sergeant, is everything alright?"

"Everything is fine" For the first time in days Hank was smiling. He was finally gonna be able to hold his little girl again. "Is Olivia in?"

"Yeah she's right in her office"

Hank went to her office and knocked. She called. "Come in!'

Opening the door she was hanging up when she saw Hank and smiled. "Hank, I didn't know you were coming"

"I wanted to surprise Jo"

"It's safe for her?"

"Completely safe we got the bastard. He won't see the light of day for a very long time"

"That's great. I put her in one of the kids rooms while the others work, I'll bring her to the squad"

The older man nodded, Olivia had gone to the room. Jordan and Fin were laughing.

"And Adam had screamed like a girl when he saw the toy mouse in his chair. He jumped like ten feet into the air, I thought he was gonna wet himself. He learned from that day, not to wear a clown mask again and I won that prank war" She said through giggles.

Fin laughed with her. "You gotta teach me you're secret on how to do that kid"

"Do it when they very least expect it"

"I'll keep that in mind"

Olivia opened the door smiling. "Hey Jo, I got a special friend I'd like you to meet him"

She hopped up and went to her. Fin raised his eye to his friend. He mouthed 'Who?'

Once Jordan was out she replied with the same smile, she mouthed, 'Hank'

He smiled, the teen would finally be reunited with her father; he gathered the trash up and tossed it. Olivia walked with Jordan out to the squad.

"If I may ask whos' your friend?" Jordan asked.

"Were pretty close," Olivia answered, still smiling.

"Did you work together?"

"We did"

Just as she was about to ask another question as they got close to the squad, Jordan stopped and a huge smile appeared on her face. The teen had seen her father. Olivia's smile grew more.

"Daddy!" Jordan called seeing her father.

Hank saw his baby girl and he had the biggest smile on his face, he finally had his little girl back. Jordan ran straight to him once she was in arms reach he swept her up effortlessly and held her kissing her head. The teen kept her arms wrapped firmly around his neck and kissed his cheek.

"My baby girl" He muttered, choking up.

Hank kept one hand on the back of her head and the other on her back. He wanted to cherish this moment forever just holding his little girl, he was finally whole again. He was complete again.

"I missed you so much daddy" Jordan muttered, tears falling from her eyes.

"I missed you too baby. I missed you so much" His own tears falling.

She pulled away smiling for a moment. "If you're here..does that mean..I can come home?"

The older father couldn't help but smile. He missed seeing her smile and hearing her sweet voice. "Yes my sweet pea. You can come home"

She hugged him just as tight again. The teen was finally going home, the past few days in New York were fun. She got to hang out with Olivia and her son, Amanda, her dog, her daughter. She got to get to know Fin, Carisi, and Barba. It was as if the teen had gained another family, they were like the other back in Chicago, loving, caring and very protective. She had the best family anyone could ever ask for.

Hank had set her down, Jordan had gone around hugging the SVU squad. A thought had occurred to her. Olivia was like her mother, Fin and Rafael were like her uncles, Carisi was another brother, Amanda was her sister, Noah and Jessie were her cousins. She wouldn't trade them for the world.

When she hugged Fin she whispered in his ear. "Remember when they least expect it"

"Gotcha kiddo" He whispered back with a smile. He kissed the top of her head.

Next she hugged Carisi next, he held her with a smile. "I can't wait to see you next time kiddo"

"Ditto. You're like another big brother Sonny" She smiled.

"That means I can help keep the boys away," He chuckled.

She chuckled. "Sure. You and Fin both can, between you guys, all the guys back home and my dad I don't think a boy will stand a chance"

"Your absolutely right sweetheart" Hank says chuckling, brushing her hair back.

The teen had gone over to Amanda next, the blonde detective had hugged her. "I'm gonna miss you darlin"

"I'm gonna miss you too. Between us, I could always use another sister"

"I could too" Amanda gave her a sisterly kiss on her head.

Joran had pecked her cheek. Barba had come in, Olivia had done a quick introduction between Barba and Hank, the two men shook hands. The teen had then hugged Rafael.

"It was nice meeting you Rafael, I hope I can see you next time I come back" She says to the ADA.

"It was nice meeting you too Jo, I can't wait for you to come back" He replies hugging her back.

Finally she went to Olivia, she hugged the older woman tightly. "Thank you Olivia. For everything. I loved spending time with you all these past few days. It was really fun"

Olivia hugged her just as tight, as if a mother holding her child for the last time and sending her away. She felt her heart breaking. "You're welcome sweetheart, we have loved having you here. We can't wait for you to come back. And always remember, my phone is always on anytime you need me. Day or night"

Jordan nodded and wiped her eyes. "Welcome to the family guys"

They all smiled and had a group hug, Hank watched smiling and eventually joined. After the hug they pulled away. Hank held a gentle hand on his daughter's shoulder, he looked to the team with a smile.

"Thank you all for watching and protecting Jo. It means a lot to me, I really appreciate it" He said to them with a smile.

"Jordan's family and we watch out for family" Fin says with a smile.

"Fin's right, you guys are family and we look out for family" Amanda spoke up, a smile on her face.

Hank smiled, he was glad they have the family they have. Olivia had told her team to finish working their case while she took Hank and Jordan back to her apartment to gather the teen's stuff.

Olivia had taken them back to her apartment after the last heart felt good bye. Once they arrived there Jordan had gone to the room to pack up her stuff. Hank and Olivia stayed in the living room and moved to the kitchen area, she got him some tea.

"Thanks. How was she?" Hank asked, sipping the drink.

"She was great. A few nightmares the first couple days but good. How are you Hank?" Olivia replied, drinking her tea.

"I've been good" He hoped she saw through his lie.

Hank had been a nervous wreck the past few days, hell the past few months. The older man was never one to admit his feelings to just anyone, he did that in private to people he trusted. Alvin, Erin, Trudy, occasionally Meredith. Maybe now..Olivia.

"Hank, I see the look in your eyes. You're not good and you're not ok. What is it"

The older man sighed, it had to come out before he broke. "The past few months off and on, I'd have dreams about that bastard" He gritted out about Yates.

Olivia put a gentle hand on his hand. "Take your time"

"They'd be different ones but they all ended the same. He killed my baby" His voice started to crack and choke up.

"Oh Hank" She rounded the counter and hugged him.

Suddenly he found himself hugging her letting out a few sobs. "She'd… cry and beg for me to save her… and he'd pull the trigger. I woke up and ran to her room to check on her" He sniffed and wiped the tears from his eyes. "Jo would be right there in her room fast asleep. I don't know where I went wrong that day Olivia. I kept Jo at the district under protection and he still managed to get her"

"It was nothing you did Hank, guys like Yates they love to play mind games with people to throw you off your game. Once you're off it's easy for him to go inside your head and have his victims seem as if he's there in your head to make it easier to mess with you. He knew how to trick Jo and easily got in her head and once he had her it made it just as easy to get in yours and Erin's heads" Taking a deep breath she moved some hair behind her ear. "There was this guy, William Lewis, he got so far into the victims head they were convinced he was there. I was one of his victims, Hank".

The older man looked stunned when she said that. Olivia nodded and continued. "He kidnapped me. He had gotten so far into my head I believed he was everywhere that I went. It was getting to be too much for me. I couldn't work, couldn't eat, I barely slept. If I got any sleep I'd have nightmares. That's when I knew I had to reach out for help. I got help for myself so I can be me again. Because I got help, I'm a better person, a better cop, a better mother to Noah, I was a new me Hank. There's no shame in asking for help, it's to help you, it's to help your daughter. But if you're constantly living in fear, Jo is easily gonna pick up on that and feed off of it, soon she's gonna think the world isn't a safe place and she's gonna live in fear. You can talk to anyone about it Hank, you have a whole bunch of people in Chicago you can talk to. You can talk to me about it, like I told Erin and Jordan, my phone is always on. Whenever you need you, day or night. But it's ok to seek help Hank, if not for yourself, do it for Jordan. Be better for her, be a better person, a better cop, most of all be a better father. If she sees you struggling with this it's gonna worry and scare her. I'm pretty sure she'll be right by your side so will everyone else. And so will I"

A small smile appeared on his face as some tears ran down his face. He wouldn't admit it but not seeking help he did feel like he was failing Jordan as a father, he's taken down gangs, mobsters, he'd gone toe to toe with a couple of cartels, and he was letting a guy like Yates screw with his head. He was dead for god sakes and he was still mentally and emotionally toying with him. It had to stop. For him, but most of all for Jordan.

"Thank you Olivia" He wouldn't admit it but part of him needed to hear that he needed help.

"You're welcome" She gave him a warm smile.

Jordan had come out with her stuff, the two adults looked smiling. Olivia then thought of something. "Why don't you guys stay here for the night and head out in the morning"

Hank looked at her. "We wouldn't wanna intrude"

"You're not besides you have been driving for hours. You need to rest"

"Only if you're sure"

"I'm positive"

"Thank you again"

"You're welcome"

Soon it was night and Olivia had ordered some take out, the father and daughter thanked her. They ate and made small talk. Jordan was rubbing her eyes as they ate, Hank smiled brushing her hair back.

"Why don't you go get ready for bed sweetheart, we'll be in to check on you in a minute" He told her softly.

Nodding the teen had gone to change for bed, Hank and Olivia went to clean the dishes.

"Hank, you don't have to do the dishes, it's fine. You should go get some rest, you have a long drive come tomorrow morning" Olivia told him.

"I don't mind helping" Hank replies with a smile.

Olivia smiled and they washed dishes together, soon the kitchen was cleaned. Olivia's phone rang and she excused herself from taking the call. Hank went to check on his little girl.

Jordan was ready for bed as she sat on the bed playing with a few strands of her hair, Hank had walked in sitting next to her pulling her close. Looking back the teen smiled as she leaned against her father.

"What's on your mind sweet pea" He stroked her hair back.

She had glanced down picking her nails, a habit she did when she was nervous. "That night when I was walking and I saw that guy get killed. It made me think back to when Yates killed that guy in front of me"

He swallowed hard and cringed. He knew deep down his little girl would forever be traumatized by that. Gently he placed a kiss to the back of her head. "I'm sorry that happened to you baby girl"

"I'd have different nightmares now about him getting you, mom, Justin, Olive and Daniel" She choked up. Hank very gently rubbed her back. "He'd kill you guys and say your deaths would be my fault" Tears started to fall from her eyes.

Immediately the older father held her close and protectively. "Shh it's alright. That'll never ever happen I promise. I'll always be around to protect you and I'll always protect your brother, Olive and Daniel. Nobody won't ever hurt any of you. I promise"

More tears started to fall from her eyes. "Daddy, I still can't help but think. Was it really my fault that mom died?"

"No sweetheart of course not. You had absolutely nothing to do with what happened to your mother. You were just a baby when she died. You were in no shape, form or fashion responsible for what happened to your mother. I give you my word"

At this time Hank had actually wished Yates was alive so he can make him suffer unimaginable and excruciating pain. The evil bastard still had it in his little girl's head she was responsible for her mother's death. Hank had thought his precious little girl had gotten past it but it looked as if he was wrong.

"My last nightmare, he had me back at the house where he kept me. He brought me to a room" She was choking up as she remembered it.

"Take your time baby" He smoothed her hair back.

"He had you and mommy. It all happened so fast, he was behind you guys then behind me. He shot and killed you and mommy" She started to cry. "And then...then the gun ended up in my hand. He told me I had killed you and mom and that your deaths were my fault. I'm sorry daddy, I'm so sorry" She turned hugging him and cried into his chest.

"Oh Jo, my baby" He muttered as his own tears fell. "You couldn't hurt anyone, Not me or your mother. I promise. None of that was real or your fault, I promise"

She sobbed for a few minutes and eventually had fallen asleep holding him, Hank just looked down as her breathing was evening out and returning to normal. She had him in a good grip on him. Something wet had landed into her brown silky hair, tears. He hadn't realized he was crying.

The older father realized his daughter may have still needed help just like he did, whether they wanted to admit it or not. Looking over Hank saw Olivia standing in the doorway with tears of her own falling. Walking over she bent down and brushed some hair back off the teen's forehead.

"I'm gonna get help Olivia," Hank whispered. "For me and for Jo. I can't be like this and neither can she. My little girl is gonna need me and I have to be strong for her. She needs me to be strong for her. I need to be a better father and the first step is admitting I need help"

"You're an amazing father Hank, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It's gonna be good that you're gonna be getting help. You'll feel as if a weight will be taken off both your shoulders. Remember I'll be a phone call away if either of you need me. Why don't you try and sleep for a bit"

"I'll try" He gave a small smile.

Olivia smiled and left the room cutting the light out. Hank had stretched out on the bed, Jordan had very slightly stirred. She turned and curled back into her father's side nuzzling her head under his chin. Hank smiled as he held a protective arm around her as he fell asleep with a smile.

Around 4:30 the next morning Hank had woken up, they had to hit the road so they could go home. He still couldn't believe he was bringing his baby girl back home where she belongs. The older father never wanted to send her away to begin with but to keep her safe he saw no other choice.

He quietly got up and started to gather the bags taking them to the living room, Olivia was just getting up as she was getting ready to go in as her squad had a possible suspect in interrogation over night and refused to talk.

Looking over he had seen her. "I hope I didn't wake you"

"I was up, I gotta head in. A suspect isn't talking. I'm gonna go try grilling him"

"I know you'll get him to talk you always do"

"You need some help?"

"Sure, I was gonna go pack the car up and get Jo"

Olivia had helped him take the bags down and load up his car. They had gone back in, Hank had gently picked up his daughter. Jordan managed to stay asleep as he picked her up. The older woman couldn't help but smile. Hank was an amazing father, he always had shown a rough, strong, intimidating look but deep down he was very different when it came to his children. He was more soft, kind hearted, caring. It wasn't very often she had seen him like this.

"You're a great father Hank, I'm sure Justin and Jo realize that they're very lucky to have a father like you" Olivia says softly with a smile.

Hank had returned the smile. "Thank you. I know I screwed up many times. I just never wanted them to pay the price for what I did. And you're an amazing mother to Noah, he's lucky to have you"

"Thank you"

They left the apartment, Hank carried his sleeping daughter down. When they were outside, a morning breeze blew in the air. Olivia had opened the back door for him as he very carefully laid his sleeping daughter down and covered her with a light blanket. Closing the door the two faced each other.

"Thank you again for watching and taking care of Jordan, I really appreciate it," Hank spoke.

"That's what family is for. I'd do it all over again to keep her safe" Olivia replied. "I hope to see you all again, maybe under different circumstances"

"We'll see"

"I hope you have a safe trip home, the both of you"

"We will. I should get going pretty soon this one is gonna be awake in a few hours and gonna be hungry"

"Mind if I say bye to Jo?"

"Not at all, I just gotta make a quick call"

Hank stepped away to make a call to Erin letting her know they'd be home that day. Olivia very gently opened the door, careful not to wake the teen. She very lightly fixed the blanket, leaning over she very gently kissed the teen's head.

"Goodbye Jo, momma loves you" She whispered.

"Love you too momma" The teen muttered back.

A few tears slipped from Olivia's eyes and she wiped them, after fixing the blanket again she closed the door just as Hank walked back over.

"I'll let you guys be on your way, you have a very long drive ahead of you" She spoke.

"Until next time Olivia" Hank replied.

"Until next time. Try and stay out of trouble Hank"

He chuckled. "No promises"

She chuckled, she watched as he got in the driver seat and buckled up. Soon enough he had taken off, Olivia watched on with tears. It was as if she had a child of her own for a few days and just like that she was gone. The older woman knew it wouldn't be forever just until next time.

Hank had started to make the drive back to Chicago. Around 9 am they had stopped so they could eat and Hank could fill up the gas tank. They were at a small diner eating quietly, Jordan was chewing a bite of her pancake when something had come to her mind.

"Hey daddy, can I ask you something?" Jordan asked her father, as she took a sip of her juice.

"Anything sweetheart" Hank replied, drinking his coffee.

"When we get back home and settled. Could you maybe...make me an appointment to see Dr. Charles? I don't wanna end up like last time. I wanna be able to get help and work through this. I don't wanna have anymore nightmares and I wanna finally be able to put everything behind me"

He gave a small smile. "Of course I can. I was actually thinking Jo. I was maybe considering doing a couple sessions with him myself"

The teen looked surprised. Her father had really never been one for actual therapy. He'd either do what she does and bottle his emotions, never talks about what's bothering him, if he talks at all he only goes to a few people he trusts.

"Really? What made you wanna go?"

"A wise person had told me it's no shame in asking for help, it's to help me and help you. It's to help make me a better person and better father"

"Has anything been bothering you dad?"

Taking a deep breath he looked at her. He never thought he'd have this conversation with his daughter. "I've been having my own nightmares about everything the past few months. I never told you because I didn't want you to worry about me, I didn't wanna scare you while you were still trying to heal"

She had gotten up and hugged him. "I love you daddy"

"I love you too sweet girl. Why don't we hit the road, Erin said she has a surprise for you when we get home"

"A surprise? What is it?"

He chuckled. "Well if I told you, it wouldn't be much of a surprise now would it?"

"I guess not" She chuckled.

Hank had paid the bill and soon the father and daughter were headed back home.

Meanwhile

It was nearing early afternoon and Erin had everyone from the district setting up the welcome home party. Adam and Kevin were doing the banner, Jay and Antonio were out getting the food and drinks, Sean, Kim, Trudy, and Alvin were setting up the decoration, Erin had her own surprise for her sister. She had managed to fly Justin, Olive, and Daniel in for a couple days. She was out getting them at the airport.

Adam and Kevin were just finishing hanging the sign up as they got off the ladders.

"Man it's great that Jo's coming back. I miss the kiddo" Adam said, taking a drink from a water bottle.

"I think we all missed her. The squad was so quiet the past few days" Kevin spoke.

"No doubt, I miss my partner in crime"

"Yeah. Watching her prank you is priceless"

"That mouse wasn't funny"

"It was a squeak toy and we all told you not to get her with that clown mask you were the one who didn't listen"

"Didn't you also end up with a broken nose from that?" Kim asked with a small chuckle.

"For her to be thirteen and a girl, Jo hits hard as hell" Adam slightly messed with the bridge of his nose.

"She boxes with one of the best instructors ever. What did you think would happen?"

"Point taken"

Walking in the door Jay and Antonio had walked in with burgers, hot dogs, buns, chips, some chicken. Sean and Alvin grabbed the stuff and went to set it down. Jay looked to Adam with a small grin.

"Mouse boy, come help us unload the car" Jay teased.

"I swear the next one who calls me that" Adam muttered.

"Yo Ruzek there's a mouse right behind you at your feet" Kevin said to his partner.

"What the.." He jumped about 15 feet in the air and onto the couch.

Everyone couldn't help but laugh at the young detective, he chuckled and playfully rolled his eyes. "Ha ha ha yeah laugh it up"

"Now that was even better," Antonio laughed.

"I recorded that for Jordan," Kim said laughing, putting her phone away.

Chuckling and shaking his head he hopped down and went to help his friends unload the car. They decided not to make the food just yet, they would wait till Hank and Jordan were there.

Soon the house was ready and everyone made sure the food was put away so it wouldn't spoil, the drinks were getting cold, they even got a welcome home cake for the teen. It may have been a few days, but it was a very long few days. And now she was finally coming home.

Erin was then walking through the front door with Justin and his family, the elder Voight carried his son's diaper bag while Olive carried their son in the car seat as he was asleep. Olive had taken her son upstairs so nobody would disturb him. Justin had greeted his father's team, he saw how much his baby sister loved, cared, cherished and admired them.

It was nearing quarter to 5 in the evening and Hank was pulling up in the driveway. Jay had been the look out. "They're here"

"Let's hide you two," Erin looked to Justin and Olive. Justin was holding his son who was now awake.

She escorted them to the kitchen so they'd be close by, everyone stood in their places. Hank and Jordan were walking in, the older man decided to leave the bags till later. He opened the door and let his daughter in first as another smile appeared on his face. When Jordan was in she heard a chorus of voices yell,

"Welcome home!"

Looking on she saw her father's team as she smiled big and brightly. Hank stood behind her smiling. Glancing back the teen smiled. "I take it you knew?"

"Something like that, someone roped me into it" He says looking at Erin.

Erin smiled and went to hug her sister. "Welcome home Jordy"

The teen hugged her sister then hugged everyone else. A grin had appeared on her face while Adam was distracted she snuck up on him and hopped on his back. Adam was caught off guard when he felt a jump and someone pouncing on him. Glancing back smiling he saw the teen.

"My partner in crime has returned" Adam gave her a smile.

"That I have and as of now. It's on Mouse boy" Jordan teased him.

"Bring it kiddo"

Taking something from her pocket she slid it down his shirt, it was the same toy mouse she put in his chair. Jordan had hopped down just as he started shaking and the toy fell.

"Hey Adam, there's a mouse at your feet. Like right on your feet"

"Kev already got me with that earlier"

"I missed it. Dang it. Anyway suit yourself look at your feet"

The young detective looked at his feet and let out a squeal as he kicked it off, everyone couldn't help but laugh. Adam had given her a playful look.

"It's on kiddo"

"Bring it"

"Hey Jordy, I got another surprise for you," Erin told her sister.

The teen looked over at her. "You do?"

The female detective nodded and went to the kitchen, a moment later she had returned with Justin, Olive, and Daniel, Hank's smile grew as he watched his daughter run to his oldest son. Justin hoisted his little sister up hugging her close.

"There's my little Jo Jo" Justin hugged his baby sister.

"I missed you Justie" Jordan muttered in his ear.

"I missed you too"

He set her down, the teen then hugged her sister in law then saw her nephew. "Hi buddy, you're getting so big"

The baby boy squealed and cooed seeing her. The teen had kissed her nephew on his small head. Soon everyone had gone out to the back yard. Hank was meaning the grill with his son, Erin and Olive were talking while Olive held her young son. Jordan was already getting Adam again.

She grabbed a plastic cup from the house, got some ice and poured some soda in it, she then slipped some hot sauce, salt and pepper in it. Mixing it quickly she took it out to him, some of the guys were tossing a football around.

They had taken a break and gotten something to drink, Jordan had skipped happily over to Adam. "Here ya go"

Adam knew during their pranks wars to always expect the unexpected. He took the cup and inspected it. The teen chuckled. "Adam if I wanted to poison you, don't you think I would have done it when you pulled the clown mask on me?"

"Maybe. But I learned many lessons during our prank wars, one is always expect the unexpected"

"I promise you that it's only soda. Just ice cubes and soda. That's all"

"Let's see then shall we"

He took a drink as she grinned, immediately he had taken a drink and spit it back into the cup. His mouth was on fire and tasted very salty with pepper. Getting another idea Jordan turned and pouted, taking a tissue from her pocket she held a couple pieces of raw onion towards her nose, her nose had started to tingle a bit and her eyes watered.

"You didn't like it" She had used a fake upset voice.

"Those are fake tears aren't they?"

She had let out what sounded like a sob and kept the tissue at her nose so her eyes can still water. Putting the tissue in her pocket she turned to him as the tears had fallen from her eyes.

"Why didn't you like it? I made it special" She took the tissue and smelled more of the raw onion.

The young detective then realized he had to quickly fix this, he couldn't let Hank find out she was crying. Let alone Alvin or Trudy.

"Please don't cry squirt, please don't cry. I'll finish it" He then was gonna regret it later but eventually chugged the soda. By the time he finished his mouth was on fire even more, it tasted more saltier and tasted pepper.

Jordan was gonna play this out as best as she could, she let out another noise that sounded like a sob. The others looked and if they had to guess, Jordan was working on another prank already.

"Please don't cry Jo. What do you want so you'll stop crying? Money?" He then pulled a $20 bill from his pocket. "This is yours if you stop crying and I'll do whatever you want for a month. 2 months"

A grin appeared behind the tissue but kept the fake sad face. "Whatever I want?"

"That's right. Whatever you want"

"Adam, can I tell you a secret?"

"Anything"

The teen had broken out in laughter. "Dude I can't believe you fell for the fake tears again"

"Wha?"

Opening the tissue she showed the raw onion. "Raw onion"

"You sneaky little" He hoisted her up tickling her.

The teen laughed and giggled. "Adam… I surrender"

He then laughed setting her down. "You get better and better at you're pranks"

"You could say I learned from the best. So back to whatever I want for 2 months"

"I..I was joking so you'd stop crying"

"I already know the first thing we can do together. How do you feel about seeing concerts?"

Adam groaned, what had he gotten himself into?

Kevin had gone over patting his shoulder. "Have fun with that Ruzek"

"Kev, so not helping"

"You're the one who said it not me"

"Don't remind me. Please don't"

"We'll remind you," Jay teased, patting his other shoulder.

"We'll remind you every day," Antonio chuckled.

The young detective looked at his team. "None of you are helping"

Soon the night was ending, everyone had gone home. Jordan was fast asleep laid across the couch. Justin had taken his sister up to her room, he laid her in the bed and covered her up.

Blindly opening her eyes she smiled seeing her brother. "G'night Justie"

"Sleep tight squirt" He kissed her head.

He left her room and went to his room where his wife and son were. Hank had to grab something from his car, he went back inside. Seeing his daughter wasn't on the couch he checked her room. The teen was fast asleep under her blankets, smiling he had gone over and very gently sat on the bed.

As gently as he could he placed the bear in her arm, Jordan had sensed someone was there. Very slightly opening her eyes she saw her father. "D'ddy?"

"Shh it's alright go back to sleep sweetheart"

"G'night daddy"

"Sweet dreams my sweet girl"

He had kissed her head just as he got off her bed he glanced back and muttered something. "Welcome home Jo"

With that he had gone to his room for the night he went to sleep with a smile on his face. His children were under the same roof for the time being, they were happy, healthy, and safe. His little girl was safe from Vladimir. But most of all he was just glad she was back home where she belongs.
