15-year-old Mina Ashido had seen over 30 quirks since she had started to live in Japan.
Seeing a metal girder explode out of a building and impale a car? Not a quirk she saw often.
"CRAP!" Mina heard before turning the corner to see a teen her age. His hands were glowing blackish blue.
"Sorry! That's been happening for 5 minutes!" The boy said as Mina blinked and walked over.
More metal, a box of nails, a baseball bat, and parts of a rusty fence flew into the sky. The boy looked up at the sky.
"That's not going to be good…" The boy stated as his hands finally stopped glowing.
"Uh, I'm sorry, my dad said my quirk is finally manifesting…" The boy stated before crossing his arms. "I'm Aace by the way, I didn't mean to… Hurl part of a building at you." Aace awkwardly added, scratching the back of his head.
Mina smiled; she was far too used to danger to be worried. You kind of tended to be used to danger when your quirk was spilling acid from your body.
"I'm Mina Ashido." Mina said with a giggle as she rocked back and forth on her heels. "Nice to meet you. I'm guessing your new here?" Mina asked as she titled her head to the side.
Aace's left hand glowed as he gently lowered his hand, slamming the items into the ground. Aace looked over his shoulder at the items.
"Yes. This has been like the second day we've moved here from America." Aace stated while clutching his other hand. "My quirk happened to start manifesting this morning." Aace said while rubbing at his temples.
"Your quirk is control of metal; I'm guessing?" Mina asked while she smiled at the awkward teen.
"Considering every time, I move my hands something goes flying?" Aace asked as he kicked at a small cloud of dust. "Yes, I'm going to guess throwing cars is my super power." Aace said with a nervous chuckle.
"Well, you might want to dial it back." Mina said, she guessed someone at least didn't know about the destruction. There were multiple people with quirks. Nobody was going to guess a kid with a metal quirk was behind it.
"I'll try, I am actually trying." Aace stated while folding his hands to his side. "What's your quirk?" Aace asked as he sat down on one of the chairs his parents left out in the front yard.
Aace sighed while he tried not to move his hands. Something flew half across the street. Mina hummed while she turned to look over the building.
"Would you believe it's acid?" Mina asked before Aace raised an eyebrow. "Its why my skin is pink." Mina added, Aace nodded gently.
"Ah." Aace stated before he scratched his arms and hummed.
"So, I'm guessing someone like you wouldn't happen to be thinking of joining the school?" Mina questioned while Aace blinked before realizing what she meant.
"Oh, you mean UA?" Aace asked, the teen who was almost always on his phone had looked it up this morning.
"Yep." Mina said while Aace smiled and looked over his hands.
"I wouldn't mind helping people; my dad's been helping people back home." Aace stated before he sighed and looked down at his hands.
"I'm going to have to figure out at least how this works a bit. Aace said with anger at himself. "I hope this doesn't get me arrested." Aace said and cracked his knuckles.
"Hey, everyone causes problems at least once with their quirk…" Mina said before looking at the car. "That said? You're probably going to need to go somewhere without people to practice." Mina added as she put a hand to her chin.
"Yeah." Aace said before he looked at Mina once more.
"I'm guessing you're going to UA?" Aace asked while cracking his fingers. "I've heard a lot of the teens with new quirks are heading to there." Aace stated while Mina giggled.
"Yep. I'm headed there to become a Pro Hero." Mina said while snapping her fingers.
Aace watched as a glob of acid hit a paint bucket which began to sizzle. Both teens looked at it.
"Whoops." Mina said while scratching the back of her head. "I'm so sorry." Mina said with frustration to herself.
"I don't think my dad is going to mind." Aace stated with amusement as he smiled. "He was going to uh… trash those anyway." He said as Mina buried her head in her hands.
"Dude, that joke sucks." Mina said while Aace laughed right before Mina laughed to herself.
"Sorry, it runs in the family, I'm afraid." Aace stated while smirking as Mina patted him on the shoulder.
"Well. I got to run; my parents wanted me to go grab groceries. See you!" Mina said before running off.
Aace hummed before the paint smashed into the fence.

Phew, another chapter done! I want to point out Aace will be named Mercury or such. I wanted him to have metal control as well… It's a mix of Wolfram and Magneto in the story, your see issues like this as Aace grows. Next chapter is in a week and will show Aace practicing and meeting Mina again. Until then with a bigger chapter. Lighting Wolf out!
