Jordan- 15/16

History was indeed repeating itself yet again. Only the circumstances were far different. Again. Jordan was sitting in a hospital, she hated hospitals ever since her brother died in one. She couldn't stand to be inside them but for her family she'd step inside one all day long.

There were dried tear stains on her cheeks with fresh ones falling. A blank emotionless look on her face, her body trembled. Her teary eyes glanced at her father who kept constantly pacing, he kept stopping every doctor and nurse trying to get information. But nothing. Nobody told him anything.

Jordan was still trying to figure it out. All she knew was this had been Denny's fault. That bastard had to go and dig into something he had no business going into. That deranged bastard had to dig into Kevin Bingham's murder, the same bastard who had taken her brother. Her best friend. Just as Jordan was finally coming to terms with Justin's death, her miscarriage, Erin's departure, Lexi's death. Then this happens.

Her godfather, Alvin was attacked in prison and stabbed. They rushed him straight to surgery as soon as he got to the hospital. The entire time Hank stayed by his side until they held him back. The older man didn't want to but he made the dreaded call to his daughter. When Jordan heard the words, her blood ran cold and heart stopped again. She rushed down to the hospital.

Before she knew it she was surrounded by her father's team, she was so out of it she hadn't even felt Adam pull her close to him. She curled into him grabbing and gripping his shirt tight as she could in her fist. The urges were there and they were strong. The room was filled with dead silence, the tension was so thick it could be cut with a hot knife.

Time passed slowly. The clocks ticked slowly. Still there was no update. Nothing. Jordan had thought she felt Adam rubbing her back, she was trying not to allow herself to feel anything because if she did she'd lose her sobriety.

Finally after what seemed like eternity Hank had emerged very slowly, a broken expression on his face. No words had to be spoken, his face said it all. Alvin died. Jay punched a wall and stormed out, nobody dared go after him. Everyone sank down into chairs. Hank engulfed Trudy into his arms. Adam held Jordan as a scream and a cry tore through her throat letting it out at the top of her lungs, the young officer held her tightly to him as she started to fight.

"Jo, Jo sweetheart it's ok" Adam told her, his voice cracking.

"Let…me…go….Adam…let me…go!" Jordan cried, trying to get out of his hold.

"I got you darlin. I got you"

She was shaking her head, fighting more in his arms. "No. No no no no. Not again"

Hank went over, tears streaming down his eyes. "Jo Jo, come here baby"

The teen looked at her father, Adam let her go and the upset teen just about launched herself at her father. Her body trembled and shook, fresh tears ran down her eyes and cheeks.

"Not again. Daddy please no. Not again" She cried, gripping his coat.

"I'm so sorry baby. I'm so sorry"

After a few minutes of sobbing she had stopped, she was emotionally drained and she was forcing herself not to feel anything she didn't wanna feel anything. She was afraid if she did she'd lose her sobriety. The next few minutes were a blur. Everything happened so fast. Before she knew it Hank had taken her home and put her on the couch. Soon Jordan's vision was blurred and soon she passed out, her breathing finally evened out.

When she awoke the next morning she looked around a tad bit confused, then everything was hitting her at once. Alvin died. Her father brought her home. She was now enraged, fueled by anger, not bothering to change she looked around the house to find her father. She eventually found him sprawled across the bed when she got close she smelt the foul odor of booze.

Hank had drank till he passed out the previous night. The smell was enough to make Jordan wanna drink again but she wouldn't, instead she covered her father up and kissed his cheek. Once she left her father's room she quickly threw her silky brown hair up in a ponytail and left the house.

She started walking and walking, she knew exactly where she was going and who she was going to see. One person was responsible for this and it was Denny Woods. He started this damn investigation. He had her godfather arrested. He was killed in jail. And it was all Denny's fault. After walking for a while she had eventually arrived at his house.

The teen began beating and pounding on the door when the door had finally opened a fist had connected hard to Denny's jaw making him stumbled backwards. Jordan stormed in, throwing another punch hitting the man's face again. Jordan was livid.

"You! You evil conniving son of a bitch!"

Denny wiped the little bit of drool off his lip. "Something on your mind Jordan?"

"This is all your fault!" She then brought her foot up to his groin area making him drop to his knees. "If you had just left it alone he'd be alive! My uncle Alvin is dead because of you!"

Denny had let out a dry chuckle. "I think you should be angry at your father. After all he's the one who did it"

"My dad didn't do anything! If you had just left that damn case alone none of this would have happened!"

"It's my job to get justice for the victims Jordan"

That had enraged the teen even more. "Victim?! Victim! Kevin Bingham was far from a goddamn victim. That dereranged bastard killed an innocent woman, that woman's child has to grow up without her mother. He killed my brother! He took my best friend, he took a father, son and brother from this world. How do you or anyone expect us to tell my nephew he no longer has a father because of that thing that was killed. Kevin Binghman wasn't a victim, that woman and my brother are victims. Bingham got what he deserved. To be killed and put down like the animal he is"

The older man had smirked trying to get up and gain his balance. "Would you like to make a confession Jordan? Perhaps you killed Bingham? You had motive, he took your brother. You took his life. An eye for an eye. You could have had opportunity. Track him down while your father worked, you drowning in anger, grief, depression, took matters into your own hands and one thing led to another and you killed him"

She chuckled dryly. "Really? You only wanna turn this on me because you don't have the balls to say a teenage girl hurt your ego. You wanna pin this on me to get back at me and my dad. You wanna do it to get back at me because I refuse to do your bidding for you and once again you wanna hurt my dad, well let me tell you something asshole" She got up in his face getting nose to nose with him. "I ain't letting you hurt my dad again, if you wanna hurt my dad, this time you're going through me. My dad and I have suffered enough and I won't let you hurt him again. Before I forget"

The teen once again had brought her knee up to his groin much harder making him drop again. "That was for my brother and woman that Bingham killed" She sent a hard kick to his midsection. "That was for my uncle Alvin" Finally she bent down and grabbed him by his shirt and yanked him up. "Now I'm going to give you a warning and if I were you, I'd listen every carefully. If anything and I mean anything happens to my dad, I'll make the rest of your life a living hell and don't think I won't. After all the rumors are true, I am my father's child right. Let anything happen to him I don't care what it is, I will make your life a pure living hell" Her voice and tone was so deadly and cold, she didn't even sound like herself.

She threw him back on the ground and stormed out of his house. Jordan refused to allow herself to grieve her godfather, when Lexi had died she nearly relapsed and went off the edge again. This time she flat out refused to allow herself to feel anything but anger. She wouldn't let herself to go back down another rabbit hole of no return.

The days slowly passed and still Jordan wouldn't allow herself to grieve her godfather instead she was helping take care of her father. He was always taking care of her and being her rock, it was now time she took care of him and been his rock.

Hank had gotten word of the guy that put out the hit on his late best friend and he went to track him down, they had a stand off on a roof like area. The Sergeant saw the bastard reach for something and he fired his gun taking him down killing him in the process. There was a huge problem there had been witnesses but Hank didn't care, he was going to get justice for his best friend.

Jordan saw how bad her father was spiraling it reminded her of how bad Erin and herself was after Nadia and Justin. She had faith her father wouldn't completely lose it but this one hurt just as bad as Justin.

One night Hank was out needing some time to himself, he didn't want his daughter to see him in that state. He'd been strong for so long he hardly allows himself to feel vulnerable. He figured that's where his daughter got it from.

He went to a bar hoping to get money from one of Alvin's old debts but it turned bad and he ended up in a fight letting the guy hit him, every swing he tried to throw missed. It was like he was purposely missing. Finally one of the guys had broken up the fight and pulled Hank outside.

"What the hell was that? You tryin to die or something?"

"Tommy Sullivan owes Olinsky 10 grand"

"Is that why you came? To cut money from Tommy?"

"Olinsky's dead"

"I know, saw it on the news"

"Yeah he's got a family and they need the cash"

"You ain't gonna get it from Tommy, he died 3 months ago. Olinsky gave the eulogy"

Hank stayed leaned on the wall, his phone kept buzzing and ringing with his daughter calling. He reached to get his phone and he had accidentally dropped it till the other guy picked it up and the front screen showed many missed calls and texts from Jordan.

"Who's Jordan? Olinsky's kid?

"My kid. Jordan's my daughter, she's about to be 16"

"You have a kid and you thought it was smart to get into a bar fight? Give me your keys, I'll take you home"

"I'm fine"

"Hank give me your goddamn keys"

Not in the mood for a fight Hank gave him the key and he had taken the injured man home to his daughter. Jordan was consistently panicking and kept calling her father.

The front door opened and she ran out to see. "Dad? Dad!' When she saw how badly her father was injured her eyes widened in fear. "Dad! Oh my god, are you ok? Are you alright?"

"Jo Jo, I'm fine sweetheart" Hank assured her.

"You're beat to hell dad, you're far from fine"

"It's late, you should be in bed"

"And you should have been here with me" She looked at the guy. "Thanks for bringing my dad home. I appreciate it"

"Not a problem. You'll be ok with him?"

"I definitely got him. Thanks again"

He had left the father and daughter alone. Jordan had guided her father to the couch and went to get the first aid kit going back to him.

"Are you alright dad? You look like hell" Jordan cleaned the blood off her father's eyebrow.

"Sweetheart I'm fine. Don't worry about me. It's my job to worry about you"

"We have to worry about each other. Dad, please don't spiral. Uncle Alvin wouldn't want you to"

Hearing his best friend's name he closed his eyes to block the tears. Jordan bit her lip knowing that wasn't the best thing to say. She had continued the clean and bandaged the small injuries she could.

"How'd you get good at this?"

"You forget, I hang out at a hospital with doctors and nurses. Not to mention Jay's brother is a doctor"

"You don't have to do this Jo"

"I do. You'd do it for me and dad, please just this once. Let me take care of you, you've taken care of a lot of people daddy. A lot. And in all that, you don't let anyone take care of you. Let me be the one to take care of you. Please"

Without a word Hank wrapped his arms around his daughter and held her close. Tears still falling from his eyes.

"You're all I have left Jo Jo"

Jordan held her father tight, tears burning in her eyes. Refusing to let them fall. "I'm not going anywhere dad. I'll never leave you"

Before the father and daughter knew, the day had come. Alvin's funeral. Jordan had worn a simple black dress and sneakers, her hair was in a ponytail. Hank had wore his dress blues and Jordan was fixing his tie.

The teen was still refusing to show any emotions about the death of Alvin. She wouldn't allow herself. There was a knock on the door and the teen had gone to answer it, it had been Trudy wearing her dress blues.

The older woman had a sad smile seeing her goddaughter. She knew this news would break both of them. Meredith had forbidden both Hank and Jordan to Alvin's funeral. She was taking the anger out she had towards Hank on Jordan. She hadn't even considered them family anymore.

"Aunt Trudy hey. Is everything alright?" Jordan asked her godmother.

"Yeah sweetie, you look beautiful. Is your dad around?' Trudy replied, her voice and tone was filled with pain and sadness.

"Yeah, he's fixing his tie. I'll let you guys talk and I'll be right back"

Jordan went up the stairs to grab something but stayed close listening.

"Hank, I'm so sorry to tell you. Meredith doesn't want you or Jo at the funeral" Trudy told her friend.

Hank felt his heart shatter into pieces. Jordan covered her mouth to hide the gasp. After consoling her friend Trudy had left to make the funeral.

Jordan had gone down to hug her father. Nothing would keep them from going to Alvin's funeral. They left and went. The father and daughter hid and kept a far distance.

Alvin's funeral was a full honor memorial. Just about all of the CPD was there saluting as the remaining members of intelligence carried out the casket that their fallen conrad laid. They carried it out to the car and slowly put it in the car waiting. Once the casket was loaded inside the car the Intelligence team saluted him.

From afar Hank had saluted his best friend trying to hold in his emotions together. Jordan was struggling to hold her emotions in.

After a long stressful and emotional day Jordan took a walk and found herself walking to someone's house and knocked on the door. She knocked hard and rapidly.

"Yeah! Yeah! Hold you're horses! I'm coming. I'm coming"

Opening the door was Kyle, Adam's former informant and very old flame of Jordan's. After the miscarriage of his and Jordan's unborn baby he had straightened his life out and got a legit job and was making plans for his future.

When he saw Jordan he had gotten concerned, they had grown a friendship after the miscarriage of their baby. Hank or Adam didn't like it but as long as Jordan was happy and had someone outside of her normal group to talk to it was fine. And both men made it clear no funny business.

"Jo, what's wrong? Are you ok?" Kyle's voice held concern.

After all the emotions and feelings built up Jordan burst into tears and sobs. She went and hugged Kyle.

"He's gone Kyle. My Uncle Alvin's gone" She finally sobbed. "He's gone. He's gone"

Kyle didn't say anything, he heard of Alvin's death on the news. He wanted to reach out but also had wanted to give Jordan and her father their spaces. All he did was hold her and let her cry. He let her do whatever she needed to do to get her emotions out.

Jordan had cried and screamed until she was red in the face and her throat was raw. After days, weeks of all the feelings and emotions building, the teen finally let them out and was trying to allow herself to feel something for her late godfather.

After letting out everything she was holding in she was calming down some and her eyes drooping. Kyle had taken her to his room and laid her on the bed covering her up.

"I'll text your dad and let him know you're here" Kyle told her.

She reached in the small pocket of her dress and passed him her phone. "Thank you"

"Jo. It's fine. You know I'll always be here for you no matter when you need me. We're friends, you and me. I'll text Adam and your dad to let them know you're here and safe"

"Don't leave me. Please. I can't be alone right now"

"I'm staying right here by your side"

After sending Hank and Adam a text he sat next to her and watched as she drifted off to sleep. Jordan fell into an uneasy sleep but finally allowed herself to feel and express her emotions. She managed to stay together for herself and her father. And she always would.
