Aace looked over the group of students in front of him and hummed. It was more out of being completely caught off guard more than anything. Aace also knew for a fact that many if not all of them had quirks.
"So today is going to be the big day?" Mina questioned as Aace nodded and looked around. "Then I'm guessing today we get our costumes?" Mina asked as Aace hummed and patted her shoulder.
"No, this is Monday." Aace put in while looking around at the crowd. "Friday is when we start getting our outfits." Aace stated and cracked his neck while letting out a yawn. He turned and slowly exited the car.
Aace said nothing as he looked around one last time. Aace waited for Mina to join him before casually stepping aside. He blinked before Mina started to walk up to him.
"Oh." Mina said while looking over the giant crowd of other students. "This is going to be so awesome, though! We're going to make our own superhero team!" Mina said as Aace rolled his eyes but gave a thumbs up to his friend.
"Yeah, I think I'm honestly going to be the leader of the team, though." Aace put in only to get Mina to elbow him in the ribs. "What?" Aace said with a smirk adorning his face.
"Dude, you know I can kick your butt, right?" Mina questioned Aace who rested his head in his hand. "Besides? It isn't like we can't try and make friends. You and I are good buddies, right?" Mina questioned which made Aace nod.
"Yes, but to be fair?" Aace asked while the duo walked forward. "We are friends. I know you, though. I don't really know everyone here." Aace stated and cracked his knuckles.
"Everyone is just a friend you haven't made yet." Mina said before flashing a smile at Aace. "Just like how you and I are friends." Mina said before pushing her pointer fingers into Aace's lips and pushing them into a smile.
"Can you please get your fingers out of my mouth?" Aace teasingly asked Mina who sighed and backed off. "Today is just supposed to be us meeting teachers and figuring out homerooms. We aren't backflipping through explosions and fighting off mutant wolverines with tommy guns. Mi, this is supposed to be warmup to being a superhero… Not superhero level 1." Aace stated to Mina who said nothing.
"Should I point out that I've been busy doing all the math work for school?" Aace said and crossed his arms. "I've kind of had to remind you of a few things and such." Aace stated as the duo finally reached the group of students.
"Hey, I'm not stupid." Mina said while Aace hummed.
"I didn't say stupid. I prefer the word 'absentminded.'" Aace said before turning to look to the side. "You need to focus, Mi. I'll gladly handle the brain stuff if you give me the muscle." Aace said as Mina sighed and let out a hum.
"Deal." Mina said before poking one of the people on the back. Aace could see their big spiked ashen hair stick up. It made Aace wonder if their quirk was related to their hair.
"Hey, I'm Mina Ashido!" Mina yelled in a tone that made Aace instantly grab at his ears. "This is Aace Dontell! He's one of my best friends. What's your name!?" Mina yelled before Aace elbowed his friend in the ribs in an effort to quiet his friend.
"Mi, I think the entire damn block heard you." Aace stated while rubbing his ears. "And yes. My name is Aace. Mina is the one who almost made me deaf right now. She has an acid quirk that comes out of her skin. I have a quirk that lets me control metal objects it seems." Aace said while patting at his ears and groaning.
"Nice to meet you both." The girl stated, seemingly unbothered by the volume of Mina's words. Aace was stunned for a moment how unfazed she was at this. "I'm Momo Yaoyorozu." Momo added which made Aace nod.
"Nice to meet you." Aace said while nodding his head slightly. "Mina? Please NEVER shout next to me again. I'm starting to think you have a hidden yelling quirk." Aace stated to Mina as his friend glared at him.
"Dude, you have to have more pep in your voice." Mina said while Aace hummed.
"And you need to not announce to everyone you're a hero. We need licenses if you forgot." Aace stated and cracked his back before his hand glowed black. Momo and Mina watched as the soda can in his bag floated next to him.
"What's your quirk?" Mina asked before Aace dropped the can into his palm.
"Oh, its-…" Momo started to stay before the bell rang. Aace looked at someone with partly white hair and reddish hair, another that looked slightly animal like.
'Cool quirks.' Aace thought to himself while he smiled and tapped Mina on the shoulder.
"Mi, time to go inside." Aace stated while slightly tugging his friend. Mina sighed as Momo became just another face in the crowd. "I'm sure we're find out more about quirks when we get inside." Aace added while he and Mina started to walk inside.
Aace hummed and smiled while cracking a smile as the students walked inside. He was glad at least nobody pushed or shoved.
Aace was also glad people were allowed to use their quirks without legal trouble. Aace was starting to like his quirk more every day. It made him wonder what his quirk would be like in the future.
"Mi, I heard my mom plans to go to the theme park in town." Aace put in while turning to Mina. "Did you want to go? I'm sure some of the people here would be going. It would be a good time to get to chat with people. We wouldn't have to worry about classes at least." Aace added as Mina nodded.
"Sure!" Mina yelled; her cheery optimism returned. It was a trait Aace liked about the heroine in training.
Even if it did make his ears ring like church bells. Aace couldn't fault Mina for being so cheery, though. Aace was just as excited to be at MHA as most students were. He just didn't want to come off like a crazed rock fan.
"You know I still think the hero costume I made is slightly cooler." Aace said with a smirk. He already knew what would happen.
"Aace, I'm going to elbow you… Hard." Mina as Aace smirked.
He had a feeling today was going to be a very fun day.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that the story won't be going like the show since I don't want to be a copycat. Some scenes will be similar. Next chapter will be in a week and will show Mina and Aace going to the amusement park. Along with maybe an action scene. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
