Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Contaminated Crusaders. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi and a few others do.

"So that girl with the ear plugs quirk won." Aace stated to Mina and blinked. Mina hummed and nodded while messing with her phone. "And Tsuyu has an animal-based quirk. That's pretty interesting. It makes things more unique when it comes to quirks." Aace added to Mina who simply raised her eyebrow at him.

"Quirks are pretty random, Aace." Mina said before putting her phone down. "Besides, you fought someone with a computer quirk. You expect powers to be that normal?" Mina asked as she tossed a glob of acid at Aace.

Aace turned to the side. Aace blinked, letting the glob of acid fly by. He didn't have to turn to see it sizzle on the grass.

"Why do you insist on making your acid so corrosive?" Aace questioned as he turned and pulled a piece of scrap metal. He tossed the blunt and rusted trash at Mina who backflipped out of the way. "Your acid is better when it's slippery. Plus, it will be hard to make burning and melting things very heroic." Aace added and dusted off his hands.

Aace watched as Mina crossed her arms over her chest. She brushed off her bare feet and looked at her friend.

"You talking about our fight at the amusement park?" Mina asked before Aace drew his hands behind him. 2 more moderate pieces of scrap metal flew to him.

"Just trying to help." Aace said and tossed one of the metal pieces at Mina. She rolled to the side and watched the scrap roll across the lawn. "Besides, I'm well aware how quirks have limits. I can barely pick up metal bigger than a manhole cover without wearing myself down." Aace said and spun his hand in a circle. The metal followed his hand in a centrical orbit.

Aace took a moment to clear his throat before continuing to speak.

"It's going to take a few weeks of building myself up." Aace stated to Mina. Aace spun and sent the piece of scrap at Mina with speed.

Mina took a running leap before transitioning into a backflip over it. Aace hummed as Mina spun through the air. Mina aimed herself at Aace who went to roll out of the way.

He was about a second too late. Aace felt his feet leave the ground as he toppled to the ground. Mina leaned over her fallen friend. Aace looked at his friend, her white t shirt swaying slightly in the wind. Aace was glad he could only see a few inches of bubblegum pink skin and nothing else.

"Mi?" Aace asked with a small blush. He tried his hardest to look Mina in the eyes. "Please don't tackle me when we're just wearing pajamas." Aace said, Mina blinked and then leapt off her friend. Aace brushed the grass off his clothes and looked at the stains from dirt.

He sighed with part amusement and part frustration. Aace was glad that getting tackled was awkward for both of them. Aace looked at the girl.

"Nice move, though." Aace said with a smile. He looked at the grass stains, his smile fell slightly. His parents would complain. But they at least understood their son wanted to be a hero.

"Yeah, felt like trying to stop you from picking anything up." Mina put in, rocking back and forth on her heels. "Your quirk works only using your hands. Right?" Mina questioned which made Aace shook his head.

"It helps more when I'm using my hands, Mi." Aace said with a giant smile. "Besides. Your quirk at least doesn't tire you out or make you have small headaches." Aace said before he slowly opened the door.

"C'mon, my mom will kill me if I wake her up." Aace stated with a smirk at Mina. "Besides, I think you might be fighting tomorrow." Aace said and opened the door more to let Mina walk past him.

Aace let out a yawn while he cracked his neck and looked around. The hero in training did want to go and sleep. Aace didn't want to go to sleep just yet.

"How do you know all this stuff before it happens?" Mina asked Aace who looked up at the alien like girl. "You spend a lot of time on the internet." Mina said as Aace raised an eyebrow at her.

"Should I point out that I'm the one who helped you fill out the first day homework?" Aace questioned Mina who pouted at the accusation. Aace allowed himself a brief chuckle at this for a moment. "Besides, hero work isn't all about giant muscles and such. I like learning everything I can so I can help everyone I am able to." Aace put in while cracking his neck.

"Doesn't mean you're going to be able to save the world on brains alone." Mina stated which made Aace shrug at this.

"Doesn't mean I can't try, Mi." Aace said, his hand glowed black as the sliding glass door shut. He flicked his finger to the side, locking the door. "Plus, you practice dance moves more then you practice your quirk. Breakdancing doesn't help you defeat villains as much as you seem to think it does, Mi." Aace added as he cracked his fingers.

"Take it back, Aace." Mina hissed before glaring at her friend. Aace simply smiled at Mina. "TAKE. IT. BACK." Mina stated. She punctuated each syllable with a jab of her finger into Aace's stomach.

"Hmm… No." Aace said while slightly cocking his head to the side. "Dance moves are fun, but they don't do much for hero work." Aace stated, easily amused at Mina's anger.

"YOUR TAKING IT BACK RIGHT NOW!" Mina bellowed with anger. She growled, trying to make her voice as commanding but silent as possible.

Aace hummed as her usual happy go lucky attitude seemed to vanish. Aace tapped his fingers on the computer with amusement.

"Nope." Aace said with a slightly bigger smile. Mina's eye twitched before Aace rolled his eyes. "Mi? You're not going to force me to change my mind. I help you with your homework, and you help me get better with your homework." Aace stated and leaned back on the couch.

Aace pulled his legs under him as Mina sighed. Mina sat next to her friend. She stretched out her legs and leaned against Aace to check her phone.

"Your something else, Mi." Aace said and continued typing on his computer. "You think our parents are going to find it weird? I mean the fact that we hang out so much?" Aace questioned which made Mina blush.

Mina had no idea why she felt so sheepish like how Aace sometimes was.

"Maybe." Mina put in which made Aace shrug.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out Mina and Aace don't love each other yet. They just joke a lot. Aace is also good at talking to others once he finds common ground like with Mina. Next chapter will be on Saturday or next week and will show Mina and Aace at school. It will also show more bonding and friend making. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter is 900-1200 words. Rumi is 900 words soon. These chapters might have weird update times in December and onwards.
