Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Contaminated Crusaders. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi and a few others do.

"Ugh…." Mina said while looking at Aace. He turned to look at her in amusement. "Aace…" Mina whispered to her friend.

"Yes, Mi?" Aace asked as he looked up from his book. "Do you need something?" Aace questioned, amusement dripping from each word on his tongue.

Mina glared at her friend. Their teacher had given them a sheet to fill out based on their quirks.

Aace guessed they were still assigning classes. It made sense considering the battles were probably a way to pick out quirks. Their teachers would then assign staff based on results.

"Help…." Mina muttered as Aace looked his friend and smiled. He looked over his sheet. "I can't answer this." Mina said before Aace cracked his neck.

"Why would I know it?" Aace asked Mina and stood up. "Mi? They designed each sheet to be based on THEM. My sheet was based off what the school knew of me." Aace stated and tapped his fingers on the desk.

Mina watched while Aace walked his paper to her. Mina then looked over the sheet. She looked at her questions.

Aace knew for a fact that Mina had no intention to cheat. Aace hummed and looked at Mina. She sighed before Aace hummed.

"Damn it, Mi." Aace said and took a seat next to Mina. He looked at her sheet.

"'What is the practical application of your quirk?' 'What sector do you intend to patrol?'" Aace asked as Mina nodded and looked to the side. "Mi? I don't think their very hard questions." Aace stated to Mina. He started to tap on the table with interest.

Mina hummed as the bell rang. Aace hummed and grabbed his backpack. He looked at Mina who was busy frowning.

"I'll help you, but I'm not filling it out." Aace said while Mina nodded. "Heroes don't cheat. Man, I sound like my parents." Aace muttered and sighed before scooping up her book back.

Aace handed it to Mina. He left his paper on the table for the teacher to grab. Aace walked with Mina outside the room.

Aace hummed before and crossed his arms at Mina.

"A lot of the quirks here are interesting." Aace said with a smile. "Super speed, elemental control. The animal like abilities. It would have been interesting to have fought one of them. I wonder who your end up battling." Aace added while Mina started to fill out the sheet.

"Maybe I'll get to fight Momo." Mina put in which caused Aace to raise an eyebrow at her. "I have no idea what quirks she has. It could be a bare-knuckle brawl!" Mina yelled to Aace. He simply tucked his hands into his pockets.

"Mi?" Aace questioned his friend. "They already determined that before this happened." Aace said while Mina blinked in surprise.

"Kinda why I knew I was going to fight Gearhead." Aace put in and shrugged. "Besides, I'm sure your win. Look at me, a scrawny nerd managed to beat someone with computer powers." Aace said and rubbed his chin in thought.

"Then again? I am slowly getting better at my quirk." Aace added as Mina continued to work on her sheet. "I went from struggling to hold something as small as rubble to holding up a few crates." Aace finished and sighed while rubbing at his temples.

"Yeah, but you also constantly think while your battling." Mina stated which made Aace turn to her. "I'm always thinking in the moment." Mina added and watched Aace give a bit of a nod.

"Maybe, but it's also good to familiarize yourself." Aace said with a hum. "I won against Gearhead because he replied a lot on his quirk. I just had to stop his turrets from getting a lock on me." Aace said and rolled his eyes.

"Still had to put in effort, though.~" Mina sang which made Aace hum and roll his eyes at her.

"Mi, you kinda have to put effort into it." Aace said before blinking. "Hey, if I had to ask a weird question? How come your family is always cool with you coming over? I really haven't even gotten to meet your parents a lot." Aace questioned, he didn't see that Mina frowned and avoided his look.

It would have told him something was up. Aace simply shrugged and decided to continue the walk home. If Mina wanted to talk? It was on her. He wouldn't force his friend to do anything she didn't feel like doing.

Aace cracked his back as the duo reached home. Aace knew for a fact that his parents weren't home at the moment. They trusted Aace enough to walk home.

Or maybe they just trusted Mina. Aace was starting to wonder if they considered Mina like family already.

"You want to come inside so I can look at it?" Aace questioned Mina who nodded and hummed.
