Mina slid backwards. Aace knew just how well Mina could fight, but it seemed that Yuga and Todoroki were dueling each other.
"Well, Mi is getting off easier when it comes down to it." Aace said as he crossed his arms. "Then again? I'm sure she's going to get a much worse fight when they realize how her quirk works." Aace muttered and hummed with interest.
Mina ran through the field of ice, slowly spraying acid out of her boots to slide through the ice ramp. She flipped over a laser from Yuga. She continued skating to try and f
"Very unique idea." Aace heard from Momo as he turned to look at her. "But against fire and ice? I doubt she can close the distance." Momo added while Aace hummed.
"Well, I'm sure Todoroki will go after Yuga first." Aace responded and crossed his legs under him. "Yuga's quirk negates Todoroki's ability to keep the fight at a distance." Aace said before noticing Tsuyu was next to Momo.
The trio along with the rest of the school continued to watch the battle between the trio.
"Oh, your Aace, right?" Momo asked as Aace nodded. "I should congratulate you! Gearhead didn't look easy to defeat." Momo added while Aace waved his hands back and forth.
"I wouldn't call it easy." Aace put in as Mina blocked several icicles with a wave of acid. "Gearhead just relied too much on those damned turrets for me to get close. I haven't really combat trained my quirk that much. Here or there, though" Aace added and turned back to the battle in question.
She was thrown off her feet by Todoroki melting part of the ice under her. Aace winced as she slammed into the ground before Yuga fired a laser at Todoroki. This caused the elemental hero to dodge the strike. He was thrown from his perch which took an advantage away, however.
"This could go either way, ribbit." Tsuyu put in which caused Aace to turn and look at her with interest.
"I'm hoping Mina wins." Aace said and placed his hands behind his back. "I mean, I know these are test rounds… But winning kinda shows your training paid off. I mean, I wanted to beat Gearhead… But if I lost? It wasn't the end of the world. I get to learn my limitations and what I should have to improve at the end of the day." Aace stated and looked up at the sky.
Aace hummed and cracked his fingers before turning back to the battle in question. Mina had chosen to hang back and watch the battle between Yuga and Todoroki. She narrowly dodged a laser which was aimed at Todoroki's stomach.
Aace chuckled at how Mina's natural agility allowed her to keep mobile. If it wasn't for her backflips and cartwheels around the battlefield? Mina would end up being knocked out or worse.
Mina dodged under a fireball from Todoroki before he shifted his aim back to Yuga once more. Aace wondered who was going to win if the battle continued. It looked like it could go either way.
"I told Mina that Todoroki was going to be hard to defeat." Aace said and cupped his chin. "I do think Yuga's quirk is ridiculous… Seriously, why would a stomach laser be practical in a fight?" Aace muttered while he sighed and hummed.
"It would catch people off guard." Tsuyu put in which made Aace open his mouth.
"Ok, fair point." Aace said while watching Mina roll under a trio of icicles. "But aiming it is super annoying… Hey, I've been meaning to ask. Since your quirk is animal based, does it help you navigate in the water better… Or do you have to design your costume with that in mind?" Aace questioned the aquatic heroine who was about to speak up again.
Then a massive explosion cut across the field, throwing Yuga across the field. He grunted in pain as he slowly stood up.
"Oh, that looked like it hurt!" The announcer put in as Aace blinked. "Well I don't think he's going to be getting up from that." The announcer added.
"So, you were saying?" Aace put in while keeping an eye on the fight. "Because Mina didn't understand why I made my costume out of metal. I wanted something that hit a cross between protection and agility." Aace asked Tsuyu.
"My quirk doesn't turn me into a frog." Tsuyu said which made Aace nod. "Aren't you worried about your friend losing, though?" Tsuyu asked while putting a finger to her lips.
Aace shook his head and crossed his arms under his chin.
"Mina and I practiced for the fights in advance." Aace stated and leaned on the railing in front of him. "Plus, I already told her of the dangers in the fight. Mi can handle herself in a fight if push comes to shove." Aace added before Mina skated by.
"Hey, Aace!" Mina yelled as she backflipped into the fight once more.
"I rest my case." Aace put in as he cracked his fingers and leaned on the railing. "Mina can handle herself. Trust me, she knows how to fight." Aace added and hummed with amusement.
Aace leaned back and sighed while watching the back below. He was much more interested in the other heroes at the moment.
He rubbed at his eyes for a moment while he yawned and waited for a deciding factor.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Aace and Mina will be bonding and such. Next chapter will be in a week and will end up showing the end of the battle. I will let YOU guys decide the victor. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
