Hello again! I don't think there's much I need to say here. I will tell you guys a bit about how I'm structuring this story of mine. Every chapter has a few different sections. Each one of those revolves around usually one or two main Titans. While they aren't all happening at the same time, or in order in terms of the overall plot, they do connect. I hope I explained that right. Oh, and another thing. While the whole mechanical side of things seems a bit far-fetched for the MonsterVerse, I am trying to include more mechanical kaiju.
It's pretty obvious I'm introducing the 2021 Mechagodzilla into the story later(I think), and I already have Moguera. Other than a particular cyborg, I can't think of anything other than the previous versions of Mechagodzilla. I definitely can't do Mecha-King Ghidorah, since that goes entirely against the whole story, and the only Ghidorah currently on Earth is very much alive and well. Any ideas for another mechanical kaiju I could include?
One last thing. Atomic R4y, I am glad that you are enjoying this. That means a lot to me. Anyone else, a review or anything would be great!
Disclaimer: All Titans and Kaiju are owned by Legendary or Toho. I don't own anything.
Somewhere in Pennsylvania
The Queen MUTO looked around in awe. While her kind never was a species that cared about their environment, she had to admit that these surroundings were beautiful.
The different colors in the sky as the sun sets beyond the horizon are beautiful. She just stood on the hill, admiring the view. Her red-orange eyes took in the various shades of red, yellow, purple, and orange.
Her counterpart walked up beside her. The fresh scar on his neck wasn't entirely healed yet. The ordinarily black exoskeleton was broken by a dry red and jagged brown. An injury that severe along with the fact that the winged parasite was even alive would merit a harsh punishment from Prime.
Their leader didn't tolerate failure. She would rather her children and the rest of their kind die battling their opponents than run away or allow their enemies to survive the encounter.
However, that doesn't matter anymore. Prime is long dead. Their big enemy had likely killed her. In a way, she was glad that Prime was dead. Their "Alpha" was a brutal and uncaring leader. She didn't care for the rest of their kind. She had only wanted the Alpha and the rest of his kind wiped out.
Their leader had taken the choice to order many needless kills on the other kinds as well. The Queen knew about many of them.
While she had not directly participated in those hunts, she had watched from afar. While some of the others had tried to make their deaths quick and as painless as possible, Prime wouldn't allow that.
The male was young. Her partner didn't know much. He must not have been around for long.
The winged parasite made a trilling sound directed at his companion. Is something wrong?
The older creature turned to face the other parasite. She didn't know how to even begin explaining how horrible Prime was, or the troubled past of their kind.
Instead, her calls were a question to the male. Where are you from? The Queen Jinshin-Mushi was genuinely curious. Before he showed up out of nowhere, she was sure that she was the last of her kind.
Prime was for sure dead. She vaguely knew of a mating pair that died before this whole mess with that Three-Headed Devil started. All the others had died one by one long ago. Then, this male did seemingly just come out of nowhere. It was a simple curiosity from the Queen as to where this male came from.
The black parasite briefly turned to look at the sunset. He had just turned his head away from her gaze so that he could think about what to answer. However, he too realized that this sunset was a nice sight.
After a brief moment, he finished thinking. Through a set of trills, calls, and cries, he told the other parasite his story.
This male had hatched from an egg. So, not one of Prime's children. Both of his parents and all of his siblings were nowhere to be found when he hatched. While the male didn't quite remember much from his larval form, he knew that the place where he hatched was a destroyed nest, and the area around him looked like a bunch of human nests but was abandoned. Eventually, he was drawn out of a cocoon by that Golden Monster's roar.
The Queen realized something startling from what he said. This male is a child from that dead mating pair. She paused, shifting a little. The Queen was hesitant. She didn't want to say what happened to his parents.
The male Jinshin-Mushi made another low call. This guttural roar along with a small gesture with one of his forelimbs directed her towards the sky once more.
They both stood there on the hill. No interruptions by those bipeds or any other giant creatures. The two of them just stood there.
Deep down, the Queen knew that their futures were uncertain. With Ghidorah in charge and most of the other Titans hating them, the two didn't have many options.
Drawn out of her thoughts by a nuzzle from the male, the larger parasitic creature stopped thing about the negatives.
The two parasites stood there, watching the sunset. A very beautiful sunset.
Indian Ocean Garbage Patch, Off the Australian Coast
Various patches of garbage and other trash could be seen floating in various clusters off the Australian coast.
These clusters of waste varied in size. However, they all shared the same composition.
These floating blobs of trash are made up of mostly plastic and other waste that degrades extremely poorly.
Despite humanity's efforts to clean up the planet's oceans, this garbage patch has remained largely forgotten. Being the smallest and most spread out of the garbage patches, not much has been done to clean the Indian Ocean of this man-made filth.
The garbage floated aimlessly along the surface of the ocean. It would go wherever the currents took them.
A sea turtle was caught up in a piece of abandoned fishing line, and one of its fins was wrapped up in a discarded plastic bag.
The helpless animal floated along the surface of the salty water, not far from patches of much more garbage.
They varied from just a small cluster of trash pushed together to areas spanning half a mile of pure waste.
The only sound that could be heard in this silence was the splashing and crashing of garbage against waves and other pieces of trash.
A dead fish was floating near a smaller patch of various junk. The aquatic creature was caught in a twisted piece of plastic. The broken item was thrown away and left to rot, before ending up floating in the Indian Ocean.
Several miles away, the western coast of Australia was visible.
Out of seemingly nowhere, bubbles began to float to the surface of the water, popping upon contact with the air.
Saltwater began to move due to a large and sudden displacement.
More bubbles floated to the surface, popping into nothingness just like the rest.
A sort of toxic grey-green look replaced the blue water.
A Titan broke through the surface of the ocean.
His gurgling roar could be heard for miles around if there was anyone around to hear it in the first place.
Hedorah glanced around. His red eyes adjusted to the brightness of the sun. He had been in the darkness of the depths for so long.
They blinked sideways. Turning around, the Smog Monster began to swim towards one of the garbage patches. Despite it being so much smaller than him, he noticed a dead fish floating in the water. Its body was wrapped in some sort of thing. It was not natural at all.
He made a sad gurgling noise. This was not good... All around him, the toxic creature could see patches of waste and biped trash.
Such messy and uncaring things... Why do they do this? Despite his own body leaking toxic sludge into the water, he tried to minimize the effects.
Despite his wishes, it was uncontrollable. The toxic sludge was part of him. It's his very nature. His body. He isn't truly made of flesh and bones.
For his situation, there was no avoiding it. But these bipeds... This planet is home to all of them. All the small animals. The big creatures such as himself and all the other Titans. And the bipeds themselves.
He just couldn't wrap his head around it. For him, it was unavoidable. They have a choice, and they decide to pollute their world with artificial things. Garbage. Junk. Waste.
Hedorah could feed on radiation, just like the rest of them. However, ever since those bipeds advanced enough to make this waste, he fed on this instead.
It was his role in the "Balance" Gojira cared for oh, so, much.
Before the bipeds, in the days long past, he had no purpose.
It was the toxic sludge he produced just by existing. He had to admit, if it wasn't for the earliest bipeds leaving behind even a little trash when they traveled, the old Alpha would have killed him long ago.
Hedorah moved closer to the floating clump of garbage. It floated lazily in the water. Just glancing at it, one might think that this stuff isn't so bad. However, he knew what this foreign thing could do to an animal.
Moving into the clump, his body absorbed all the waste.
It was still around, inside his body. Just like how a normal animal has a stomach with acid that dissolves food, his toxic nature would render this material nonexistent.
The Smog Monster absorbed a few other patches of these discarded things. Then, his eyes saw a turtle. He simply stayed there at first, blinking.
After realizing that this animal was suffering because of this waste, he had two feelings. Concern and anger. Moving close enough to the sea-dwelling animal, his body absorbed the plastic trash, leaving the creature only partially dirty, due to a small amount of toxic sludge that ended up on its shell. After diving underwater, it came off.
Hedorah happily watched the turtle submerge beneath the waves. His arm even waved goodbye.
The young Titan looked around. His eyes blinked sideways again. No more biped things were floating in the water. As far as he could see, there was only endless blue water.
A few miles away, he saw the coastline of that nearby continent. His anger resurfaced. Hedorah made another gurgling roar. This one was out of anger.
Those bipeds will pay for what they've done. Alpha is right to want them all dead.
Hedorah began swimming towards the coastline. His path would lead the Titan straight towards the Australian city of Perth.
Apex Cybernetics Facility, Pensacola, Florida
Deep underground, in an extremely classified level of the facility, Apex was at work.
Scientists, engineers, and other workers walked through the halls.
In rooms that resembled factories, machinery and artificial attachments were being created.
Researchers were studying scans, pictures, charts, and graphs.
Any useful information would be immensely helpful for the efforts this Apex Facility was undertaking in secrecy.
Elsewhere, in a large room, a creature was being held captive.
A Titan unknown to Monarch and the US Government is being kept here.
If anyone found out what Walter Simmons had them doing, despite the Titans being in their class of animals, this would certainly fall under animal cruelty.
If this effort did succeed, their newest creation could rival Moguera in aiding the fight against the other Titans.
Now, the creature in chains stirred.
The avian creature awoke from slumber.
Same as last time, he couldn't move.
However, something didn't feel right.
Ugh... What... What did they do now?
His weary eyes struggled to see.
His surrounding looked the same. His right arm looked alright. The green feathers looked brighter in the light.
His left arm...
What!? What... No...
His left arm was gone. His beautiful green feathers were replaced. The whole arm felt different. There was something foreign in his flesh.
The claws on his arm are gone. Now, there's this... shiny hook thing.
He tried to move his arm. However, it wouldn't budge. Out of the corner of his vision, he saw that something was holding his arm in place.
The avian creature tried to get a sense of the rest of his body. Had anything else changed?
The realization horrified him.
My spines!
Why can't I feel them anymore!?
Did those things remove them? He didn't know. He just couldn't feel them anymore. However, there was another feeling on this back. Almost as if something was poking into him.
Then, they suddenly moved deeper.
Out of his beak came a loud chirp of pain.
It hurt so much. What was happening?
Just as suddenly as it started, the pain went away. It almost felt like, his spines were back?
However, they didn't feel the same. Strange. It was like the skin and rest of his lime green sail was now made of something else. Something foreign.
What are those bipeds doing to me? Why...
The question seemed impossible to answer.
Gigan just couldn't understand. What had he done to deserve this? They were changing and replacing parts of his body.
What was next? His other arm? His chest? His feathers? His beak? His legs? What else would they do to him?
The avian creature chirped again. It all seemed without a purpose.
Why?
Why?
Apex Cybernetics Facility, Hong Kong
The rumbling of a machine was vividly heard by all the staff and workers on this level. Then, a loud explosion followed the previous noise.
Inside a large room, several people are standing on a platform. Among them is Walter Simmons, the CEO of Apex Cybernetics. The man was excited. Probably the most enthusiastic person in the room.
He impatiently ordered another round of tests. The missile launcher below them fired again. Various missiles were sent flying out of the mechanism, exploding upon contact with the reinforced wall in seconds.
It was clear by now that this launcher was effective and efficient. The leading figure of the company immediately ordered that an exact copy be built. He also made a mental note to try and find more ways to add more missiles to their ultimate weapon.
While he was dissatisfied by not hearing any concrete results from Moguera yet, he had faith. That mech was the first. It would not be the last.
The world would see Apex as saviors who helped take down the Titans, humanity's biggest threat, and save their species.
Ever since Godzilla first showed himself in 2014, he had an ultimate goal. An ultimate dream. To build a mecha that would rival the King of the Monsters. One that would secure humanity as the true rulers of this planet.
Shinomura, Camazotz, Rodan, Tiamat, Kumonga, and all the others were negligable. While Serizawa and Monarch still insisted that none of the Titans be killed if possible, some of them must die.
Moguera would see to it that Methuselah was killed. While its programming and orders included the possibility of either forcing the rampaging Titan to halt its attack or flee, that's not what he wanted.
A simple manual and complete override of the mecha would be enough to make sure that Living Mountain was rendered extinct.
Methuselah would be the first of many sacrifices. The world would see that Moguera and the mechs that will soon follow are the saviors of mankind.
King Ghidorah would be killed. Mothra, Kong, and any other Alpha Species would be dealt with later.
His dream of rivaling Godzilla went down along with the former King when the Oxegen Destroyer exploded.
However, now, he had a new goal.
Rival Ghidorah.
Along with that, the egotistical man had another goal, one that had yet to change.
Humanity would once again be the Apex species.
Munich, Germany
Methuselah's front limbs crashed into the ground again. Two biped nests were turned into rubble and dust under his legs. The shockwave from the force of the impact radiated outwards, shaking the surrounding environment, while also toppling over other nests that were already damaged.
Moguera's man-made vision saw it happen. His orange-yellow lense flashed for a moment.
As he approached the partially destroyed city, the mecha lowered the power he was giving his propulsion systems. It was time to slow down and land. From there, he knew his objective. Kill or incapacitate Titanus Methuselah.
Moguera's senses picked up that his enemy was now looking at him. It doesn't seem to be hostile just yet. Perhaps it's only curious so far.
After all, none of the Titans have ever seen anything like himself.
Once he landed, it would be time to fight. His plan was simple. An initial barrage with Spiral Grenade Missile. Then, he'd use his Automatic Tracking Lase Cannons. If his target gets too close for ranged weaponry to be effective, he would use Crusher Drill.
His circuits figured that this was the most logical and effective plan. His only question was if this would work. He has never interacted with another Titan before.
Soon, he would have more allies, courtesy of Apex Cybernetics, more mechas to fight alongside, but the actual living creatures...
This... This is what I was made for. I can't think about alternatives. I must fight.
Moguera continued to lower the force of his thrusters. He was slowly descending to the ground.
However, the mecha didn't realize that the effort wasn't nearly enough.
Wait... Oh no! Slow down! Slow down! The mecha's internal thoughts were halted.
The landing was... rough, to say the least.
Methuselah was dumbfounded. This flying creature, one he had never seen, had just crash landed near him.
It came to the ground far too fast. The volcanic pterosaur, the feathered one, the dark bat, or... any experienced flyer, for that matter, would know this.
He assumed that whatever Titan this was, it was either young or not experienced in flight.
This... weirdly silver thing landed on his feet. However, it came in too fast. It tripped over a pile of rubble and fell face-first to the ground with a loud thud.
Another Titan might have mocked the inexperienced one for this terrible landing, especially Rodan.
The Living Mountain wasn't like that. He was concerned about this one.
Methuselah slowly walked towards the silver-colored mecha. It looked... odd, for a Titan, and that was saying something. He knew of many different species. Even a few that now only live Underground, or no longer exist.
This one's skin is silver in color and looks incredibly smooth and clean. Its legs are black in coloration. He can't quite see the creature's chest or head, not while it's fallen over like this.
Are you alright? The warbling sound was out of genuine concern.
He was a little surprised when he heard a strange sound coming from the creature. Then, it began to move.
Its arms ended in points, looking incredibly similar to those of a bipedal beetle-like kaiju he once knew.
Using its drill arms, the silver one slowly righted himself.
Now, he got a much better look at this thing. More of that silver color, along with some shade of blue. Stripes and markings of blue. What purpose they served, he could only guess.
And its face. Not like anything he's seen before. It appears to have another drill thing where nostrils would be. He can't see any visible mouth.
And the eyes. They don't look normal. No pupils, just like him. However, they glow an orange-yellow color, just like the glowing eyes of a parasite.
It then heard what sounded like a sort of call.
He understood it as, "Moguera".
Moguera? Is that your name?
The silver one turned to directly have him. Then, he heard another call. Some sort of noise. Target Locked. What does that mean?
Perhaps Ghidorah sent this other Titan to help him. But why? He's doing fine on his own.
What would this other Titan be here f- Agh!
Explosions rang out on his head and left leg.
Seething in pain, Methuselah briefly looked upwards, trying to find any of the bipeds flying things. There were none.
Looking back at Moguera, he saw that the drill hands had opened up, releasing something inside of them.
Out of those tubes, emerged things that looked similar to what the bipeds launched at him earlier. More explosions.
You've made a mistake. A very big mistake.
He roared in anger and began to charge toward his new adversary. His enemy opened up his drill hands again and prepared to fire the Spiral Grenade Missiles once more.
The German military was on the way, aiming to aid Moguera however they could to take down Methuselah.
The battle for Munich had just begun.
Well, if Apex Cybernetics was able to create one of the most advanced and powerful versions of Mechagodzilla yet, I think it's plausible that Walter Simmons could have his company creature other mechanical kaiju. Moguera was introduced earlier, and I've just now introduced Gigan into the story. He'll end up being turned into a full cyborg soon. Mechagodzilla will also be introduced later. You can guess as to when that'll happen and what a Mechagodzilla with an independent mind will do serving Apex. Once more, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter of my story.
