Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Contaminated Crusaders. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi and a few others do.
"C'mon!" Mina yelled which made Aace roll his eyes.
"I love how you went from dreading this to enjoying this." Aace said as he followed Mina inside. "Besides, classes don't start for 20 minutes or so. Why are you running?" Aace said as he put his hands in his pockets.
He brushed off his shirt and sighed before looking around. There were very few people at the school. Aace knew for a fact as well today wouldn't be much hero work. The teachers were still showing up, and after the fights? Aace would assume they would want to show them around the school.
Aace had been told tomorrow they'd have to bring their costumes. Aace could only sigh and look at Mina who continued to sprint forward.
"C'mon, slow poke!" Mina shouted as Aace rolled his eyes.
"I'm starting to think you have a speed quirk I don't know about." Aace muttered under his breath and hummed.
It felt weird not wearing his Mercury costume. He spent a lot of time designing it and was glad it was finally completed. He almost felt naked without it for a minute.
Still? He wasn't a superhero yet; it wasn't like he had much reason to dwell on it at the moment. Aace cracked his fingers and hummed while looking up at the sky.
Part of him couldn't believe he had become a superhero. It was like he was living on another planet.
"Mi, can you stop sprinting everywhere?" Aace questioned while looking to the side. "Seriously, we're teenagers. I thought school was supposed to be one of the few things we didn't like." Aace put in as he looked around and blinked for a moment.
Aace heard the sound of footsteps and turned to see Tsuyu and Momo over his shoulder along with a few other students.
"Oh, hey guys." Aace put in as he blinked and turned to see Mina almost knock into him. "Mi, do you want me to knock me to the ground?" Aace put in while slowly stepping out of her way.
Aace was bemused by the fact that Mina almost bowled him over. It made him roll his eyes and held out his arm which stopped Mina from running past her.
"Mi, chill." Aace said as Momo, Tsuyu and some of the other students stop to talk. "So, what's up? I haven't seen either of you guys since the tournament." Aace stated which made Tsuyu blink.
"Yeah, because we were fighting to get classes." Tsuyu deadpanned which made Aace mentally smirk.
'Seriously, I'm going to enjoy this class if we have snarky classmates.' Aace stated mentally to himself while he nodded to himself.
"Yes, and yet Mi here?" Aace asked while he tapped his fingers behind his back. "She enjoyed the idea of have friends. And plus? I just really like having friends as well… Also, Mina is going to bulldoze you all to the ground if I let her go for a moment so there's that." Aace said which caused Mina to elbow her friend in the ribs.
"You enjoy me doing that." Mina said which made Aace rub at his stomach.
"No, you enjoy elbowing me in the ribs anytime I point something out…. Which would be all the time to literally anything I tell you ever." Aace pointed out and sighed. "Anyway, I thought your quirks were pretty cool. I was interested in how they worked. Being able to fight like a frog? That must make life pretty cool." Aace put in as Mina rolled her eyes.
"He's a giant dork, ignore him." Mina put in as Aace cracked his fingers. "Seriously, you always love to science stuff up." Mina added which caused Aace to roll his eyes and hum.
"Maybe because we're going to be superheroes?" Aace responded to his friend. "And plus? I seem to recall vaguely the fact that I had to help you design the costume you wear all the time. It would be SO hard to make it with you having an acid quirk… Oh, if only we had something that could help me fix that." Aace stated with a giant smile which caused Mina to roll her eyes at the idea.
Still? It amused her a lot to mess with Aace, he didn't consider her annoying or such. He didn't mock her quirk or such.
"Your something else sometimes." Mina put in as Aace rolled his eyes and turned back to the other students.
"So… What drove everyone here to be a superhero?" Aace asked the group.
He was unaware someone was watching him. They glared through their scope before slowly retreating back up the wall.
"Hmm…" Aace stated as he blinked. "Anyone want to answer?" Aace questioned as he blinked.
Mina rocked on her heels while leaning on Aace who hummed with amusement and blinked.

Phew, another chapter done! I want to point out that Aace and Mina will be meeting the other students slowly. I will also introduce the villain slowly. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will show more of Aace and Mina meeting the other students and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
