Will Kara survive?

Barry shoots up and spins around, looking at Iris as she stands by the door with a gun in her hand. She drops the gun as Kara whispers Barry's name.

K-"Barry."

Barry turns around, still holding Kara's hand and looks at the white sheets on top of Kara as they are being stained red, her free hand is clutching her stomach as she falls sideways Barry catches her and lays her back on the bed not letting go of her hand. Several agents, Caitlin and J'onn all rush into the room, J'onn ordering the agents to take Iris to a separate room while Caitlin rushes to Kara's side.

CA-"It's okay Kara, you're gonna be fine. Just hang on for us."

Kara grabs Caitlin's arm as Caitlin leans down to hear Kara's quiet voice.

K-"Look after her."

Caitlin nods her head before looking at J'onn.

CA-"I need to operate again."

J'onn nods before clearing out the room, Barry kisses Kara on the forehead before leaving as well. Once outside Barry turns to J'onn.

B-"Where is she?"

J-"I've had her put under guard in the Training Room."

Barry nods, before leaving the corridor and heading to the Training Room. Once he enters the room he finds Iris sitting on the bench with two guards by either doorway.

B-"Can we have the room please?"

The guards nod before leaving the room and shutting the door behind them.

Barry approaches Iris as she stands from the bench.

B-"Why did you do it, Iris?"

I-"She deserved it."

B-"I'm sorry, what?"

I-"I said she deserved it. She was gonna steal you from me. She had your child and now she's gonna steal you from me."

B-"Iris, I'm not yours to be stolen. We both knew this relationship would never last."

I-"But what about the newspaper?"

B-"The future changes all the time. This entire event is proof of that."

I-"What are you talking about Barry?"

B-"Kara is from the future. Myself and Kara are in a relationship in the future, the second I proposed to you, the future changed and Kara's life changed forever. She was placed in the past, in another timeline, on another earth in the universe's effort to avoid us meeting. But when I accidentally ran to her Earth in this timeline I changed the future again. The future is never set in stone."

Iris stared at Barry as he spoke, too stunned to comment.

B-"However, all of that doesn't mean you have the right to shoot Kara. After hearing about how fearful she was of us and we knew we would never hurt her but you just did. How do you think she's gonna feel when she wakes up and the shock has worn off? And what did Alura ever do to you, you know that Kara struggled growing up without her birth mother and yet you just threatened to take Kara away from her daughter. Who are you, Iris? This certainly isn't the Iris I know."

They remained in silence for a moment before Cisco and Alex appear in the doorway.

A-"Barry, Kara's awake and she's asking for you."

Barry nods and walks over to the pair, leaving Iris looking down at the ground.

B-"Cisco, can you breach Iris back to our Earth and tell them what happened?"

Cisco nods before Alex speaks up.

A-"I'll go with you."

Barry nods before leaving the training room and heading to the Med Bay. Once he enters he finds Kara sitting up, staring at the ceiling, he shuts the door behind him and takes a seat on the bed, their hands automatically link together.

B-"How do you feel?"

K-"Weak."

B-"You are not weak, you are the strongest person I know."

They sit in comfortable silence for a moment before Kara breaks it.

K-"I love you."

It's so quiet she wasn't sure that Barry heard her, but when he looked at her with so much love in his eyes she knew he did.

B-"I love you too."

Kara grins as Barry leans forward to kiss her, after a few moments Barry pulls away for some air. He leans his forehead on hers and they sit in comfortable silence. Their hands are still entwined before Barry manoeuvres himself so that Kara can lean against him. Just as they got comfy again, the door opens to reveal Caitlin stood with Alura in her arms.

CA-"Somebody was missing mommy."

Caitlin hands Kara her daughter before taking a glance at the monitors and leaving the trio to it.

Kara stares down at her daughter, kissing her forehead before sighing.

K-"Promise me something?"

B-"Anything?"

K-"Always come back to me. To us."

Barry looked at Kara and Alura, smiling before kissing the top of Kara's head.

B-"Forever and always."
