2. Aberforth Dumbledore
Aberforth doesn't mind the goat-related rumors about him. They're far preferable, after all, to the truth.
As a big brother, he'd do whatever necessary to see his little sister's legacy remain untarnished. And if his legacy was drug through the mud to deflect attention, it was a price he'd always willingly pay.
Even Albus, the guilty old meddler, got this protectiveness extended over him. Abe would rather the family be actually together and hale, but for now he would make do with being the scapegoat to ensure their happiness.
Abe kept his silence and let the gossip talk for him.
