A.N. - Even though Bill is the oldest, Charlie was the first to leave home permanently. Before Charlie graduated Hogwarts, Bill was traveling back and forth from England to Egypt. He didn't transfer on a full-time basis till after Charlie had gone to Romania. Also, still showing zero views on this; real irritating, ff.n.
3. Bill Weasley
Charlie had the right idea, Bill thought, the day he accepted a job in Romania. The Burrow was home, but it was stifling. Leaving at the first opportunity seemed prudent. The only flaw Bill saw was that Charlie didn't go far enough.
Bill didn't fancy exposing his paleness to the Sahara, but Egypt was preferable in other ways. The sense of peace when hundreds of feet beneath ancient stone, buried in a tomb's dark silence, simply couldn't be found in Ottery St. Catchpole.
Sure, it was dangerous work. But so was slowly suffocating in the well-meaning but smothering Weasley clan.
