Hello everyone! Now you might be wondering why the heck I am writing another story when I haven't updated Unordinary in so long, but I'm still working on it. In the mean time I had this idea of a story that I have been wanting to write for so long, but I held off on it because I didn't want to wright a million other ones while I still had Unordinary around. So, I gave in to writing this and I'm sorry about being a ghost on this app. I hope you enjoy! This is set when Gray leaves Juvia to spy on Avatar by the way, I just wanted to make my own twist to it. I have seen a lot of drawings and one-shots that have had this idea too, so the whole concept is not mine. Enjoy!

CHAPTER 1

The rain poured heavily under the dark grey skies, causing Juvia's hope to yet again diminish more and more.

It's been 5 months, 12 days, and 2 hours since he had mysteriously left. Leaving her heart crushed, as well as her energy trying to look for him. She didn't know why he had decided to just up and leave without telling her.

As she was sewing on the couch, trying to not think of the endless possibilities of where he was, she was sweating profusely and her breaths were hard. She didn't know what caused this sudden cold that started a couple weeks back, and frankly, she didn't seem to really care. She just wanted the man that she loved to come back, to know that he was okay.

Suddenly, she heard a rumbling thunder, causing her to yelp in surprise.

"C'mon Juvia, don't start again. Everything will be fine." She told herself, trying to calm the storm that had made everyone leave the village. Maybe it was just her that caused him to leave, if a whole village did, then maybe he wasn't an exception..

Seeing as sewing wasn't doing much help, she decided to go to sleep, and just hope she would wake up and it would all be just a dream. Though deep inside, she knew that wasn't likely.

As she traveled to her bedroom she began to feel as if she was carrying a huge rock, as if her body couldn't hold.

Soon, she was able to make it to her bed, and with labored breaths she quickly fell into a deep slumber...

She jolted awake when she heard a huge BANG! in the kitchen. She quickly got onto her feet and walked to where the source of the ruckus was. To her surprise, no one was there.

She shook her head, "Great Juvia, now you are hallucinating."

A sudden voice broke her thoughts.

"Actually, Juvia, it seems that you are perfectly sane."

That was the last thing she heard.

"Wake up little water mage.." She heard a deep male voice beckon her to wake.

He spoke again, "..there is something I need from you, so the sooner we are done, the better. Well, better on my half at least."

She slowly lifted up her heavy eyes to see a man with golden blonde locks that landed at the base of his neck, along orange like eyes that accentuated his narrow like features. As she looked further she could see his armor like coat with hints of black and gold.

"W-who are you? What do you want?!" Juvia questioned with a raised voice. She the attempted to attack him with her magic, but no magic had come out, instead she suddenly felt a burning and electrifying feeling jolt through her body.

She screamed in excruciating pain, wishing it would stop. Eventually her wish came true, and the pain subsided, though she still felt the vibrating feeling in her bones.

The man's face seemed to stay neutral, as if he had expected this outcome. "Ah, well that didn't seem to take long."

"What have you done to Juvia?!" She yelled in anger. As she payed more attention, she realized that she was still in her home, but she her wrists and feet were chained to the wall not allowing her to even move.

He raised his eyebrows, not expecting her to talk in such a weird way, "Well, I have obviously chained you to the wall with special shackles that prevent you from using even a sliver of you power, instead you will feel as if your body is being burned by heat as hot as the sun" She stayed silent, with her eyes showing nothing but confusion and rage. Seeing her expression, the man gave a slight smirk.

"So, now that I have answered your questions, I would like you to answer mine. First, let me introduce myself, my name is Dark Sword Jerome, but you may just call me Jerome. I am a mage who proudly represents a guild known as Avatar. I have come to gather any information on someone you may know.."

Juvia's eyes narrowed, "If you think for a second that Juvia would ever tell you anything you are sorely mistaken!" Juvia had never heard of his guild before, but she had a feeling it wasn't one she would like. Seeing as this man had her bonded to a wall.

Jerome's features grew more irritated, but he soon replaced it with a sinister grin.

"Very well then, it seems we have to do this a more difficult way." He then grabbed something from her counter which wasn't there before, that looked like a lacrima.

He pushed his slender finger against it and soon enough she could see on the screen someone in some type of cell, she was easily able to recognize who it was though. In response to this she gasped, and tears gathered in her eyes.

"Gray-sama!" She exclaimed in pure relief as well as horror.

Jerome's eyes rose in interest yet again, as the way she pronounced his name reminded him of a certain member of Avatar. "So you do know this man?"

Juvia's eyes moved from Gray and onto Jerome. Soon enough she tried to launch at him again a feeling of aggressiveness over took her, but because she didn't try to use her magic, no pain was inflicted on her.

"Seeing as you are very defensive right now, you must deeply care for and know this man. Correct?" Jerome asked, as if he knew her answer.

"Yes, Juvia does. Now why do you have him in a cell?!" She replied heatedly.

Jerome looked at her as if she were a tiny bug, "Well, you said it yourself that you refused to answer my questions, so now I will tell you that if you don't, I will kill Gray Fullbuster."

Juvia's eyes widened in panic, not wanting any harm to come to her love, especially when she knows that he isn't dead or hurt.

"Now that we have that covered, I will ask you questions and I expect truthful answers, those chains you are wearing will not only bring you pain, but they will light red if you dare to lie to my face, so don't try anything unless you want him dead in front of you." He spoke in a strict and threatening tone.

Juvia cried in defeat and fear. She then nodded, showing that she would listen.

"Great. Now, first question who is Gray Fullbuster?" He then began to interrogate Juvia.

Juvia took a deep breath trying to control her sobbing. "He is a fellow member of Fairy Tail, our guild."

Jerome nodded, but his face represented confusion. "Didn't Fairy Tail get disbanded though?"

"Yes."

"Okay then, so since it has been disbanded where did he go?" Juvia looked at him in confusion, if he had Gray locked up, why did he need to know?

"He had been living with Juvia happily in this house for nearly a year, until h-he left Juvia.." Her eyes watered, remembering the feeling of being abandoned.

"..since then, Juvia hasn't seen him. Are you the reason of that? Did you take Gray-sama from me?!" She yelled. Jerome's eyes narrowed in resentment

"Watch it Ms. Lockser. I had nothing to do with him leaving, that was with his own free will, instead he came to me." He warned Juvia. Said water mage looked at him in shock, but why would Gray come to them for six months?!

"So, you two lived together huh?" He smirked.

Juvia nodded hesitantly. Jerome's smirk then turned into an evil grin, as if he had just discovered something.

"Hmm. You see Ms. Lockser, this video you see on the lacrima was merely a security tape from nearly 5 months ago..I just kept it just in case. So this whole time, I never had Fullbuster in my grasp." Juvia's face looked taken aback like someone had betrayed her.

"W-what?" She asked, her voice quiet.

"I wasn't lying when I said he came to me though, he had come to my guild asking to join us actually..." Juvia gasped.

"..he talked about how Fairy Tail had disbanded, and he had parted from everyone because he had grown a deep hatred towards them." He seemed to be enjoying her reactions as he continued.

"When I had asked why, he had told us about how one of you had killed his own father, who had passed on to him the curse of becoming a demon slayer. Along with that curse though, he had a desire to kill a certain creature by the name of E.N.D."

Juvia had started to cry and tremble in fear, she didn't know that Gray despised her for killing Keyes, which caused his fathers death. She thought he had forgiven her.

'I'm so sorry Gray-sama..' She thought. Those thoughts were interrupted by a sudden chuckle.

"For a little while we were suspicious of Gray's true motives and his loyalty to Zeref,-" She cringed at that statement "-so I took it upon myself to make sure he wasn't lying to us.."

"..for the most part, his story seemed true, until I started to search for the members of your guild. I saw Cana Alberona, Natsu Dragneel, Lucy heartfilia, and so on. Then, when he spoke of his father, that had explained the black marks on his body. So far, he had no lies in his story."

"That is until I came upon one tiny little flaw.." Juvia somehow felt she knew where the story was going, but didn't want to believe it.

"..As I had been doing my research I came across one name, Juvia Lockser!" As he then began to laugh in a sadistic way, Juvia flinched.

"I had wondered why in the world, he had failed to mention one little water mage. At first I thought that maybe he had hated you in some way when I figured out you were the one to murder his dad. I mean, who murders the father of the one they supposedly love?!"

She began to beg, not wanting to hear anymore of her mistakes, or any of the pain she caused her love. "P-please, stop-"

That didn't stop him though. Why would it? He has already proven to be a cruel man.

"Knowing this, I decided to pay you a little visit. I needed more information on this unique person in his life that he didn't even inform me of. I thought I would get a better idea of what really happened, and boy did I get an even better idea!" He proceeded to laugh.

Juvia just looked at the floor. If she though the burning in her body was pure pain, she was surely wrong, as this made her want to vanish and never come back.

"With what I had found out, along with what you told me, I am now able to make two conclusions as to why he didn't care to tell me about you. Now, I just have to pick which one works best, and depending on which one I choose.." He walked closer and closer to Juvia, who was trying her hardest to back up from his predatory gaze, but couldn't as the wall made her stay put.

She closed her eyes in disgust as she could feel his hot breath on her face. Though his next sentence caused a look of horror on her face.

"..there will be no more of the name Gray Fullbuster."

She immediately screamed with pure wrath, "You evil son of a bitch!"

Juvia then tried inflict another shot of magic, but she soon remembered what the consequences of that would be, when she felt an agonizing torment to her body yet again. As she screamed in pain, she felt a sharp metal against her throat. Even though her mind was cloudy, she was still able to realize he was holding a knife at her jugular.

When the pain was finally over, she saw the face of Jerome, whose stare was covered in that of absolute rage.

"You dare to speak so ill of me?! Let me remind you that I still know where Fullbuster sleeps!" He shouted towards her face, to the point where she swore she felt drops of spit hit her porcelain face.

Her face still remained determined and angry, even though there were streams of tears running down her cheeks. Though she knew not to speak a word, as the man before her had the upper hand.

"This is you're last warning Ms. Lockser, if you even think of disrespecting me again, I will make sure you suffer in the worst way possible." He hissed at Juvia.

"Do you understand me?" He questioned.

She nodded.

"Words, Ms. Lockser!"

"...Yes." She submitted in a soft voice.

He lowered his knife from her throat with a sigh of relief. "Good. Now, moving on, as I was rudely interrupted. I have only two conclusions as to why Gray didn't speak of you. The first one being he had some sort of loathing towards you, seeing as you have caused him immense pain. Though even if that is a good option, he wouldn't have lived with you so "Happily", as you have put it.." He inquired with two fingers gently placed on his chin.

She stood, her wrists in pain, anticipating his next words.

He abruptly started to cackle menacingly again. This sparked alarm in Juvia, seeing as he was very bipolar.

"Which leads to my second option, which I strongly believe in. I think that Fullbuster actually cares for a mere bluenette like you. So, in an attempt to keep you protected out of everyone else, he lied straight to my guild mates' faces. That man even went as far as telling me he hated you all." He laughed wickedly straight in the woman's face.

"I personally think it's quite amusing that Fullbuster believed we were foolish enough to accept that he didn't care for you, when in reality, it was the exact opposite! If anything, I'd say that he was completely in love with you!"

Juvia was still trying to comprehend everything. Did Gray really love her? What about Jerome saying how he hated her? Did he really lie about that?

"Wait." Juvia demanded.

Jeromes eyes quickly snapped towards her, his mood quickly turning strict . "Yes?"

"What about when you said that there was a consequence for whichever option was true?" She shakily asked, afraid of his answer.

He smiled in return. "Well Ms. Lockser, I'm glad you asked.."

"..I would love to refresh your memory Ms. Lockser, with the fact that my guild will not have any disrespect made towards us, no one should ever lie to us seeing as we don't tolerate liars, and most importantly no person should ever betray us.."

He roughly yanked her cheeks towards him, to the point where she knew they would soon be bruised.

"..all of which your darling little 'Gray-sama' did." He growled lowly. Juvia tried to pull her face away, but he just tightened his grip on her even harder.

"So, since Mr. Fullbuster decided to go against us, he will endure the most agony you could ever think of."

Juvia bit her tongue, trying to control her temper to the best of her ability.

"Of course you now might be wondering what I will do, but I can't tell you. As that would ruin all the fun. Though I will tell you that since Fullbuster seems to deeply care for you, it makes your life way more valuable to us than we thought." Juvia shook her head wishing for this to be over.

"No, please. Don't hurt Gra-" She felt a hand make a abrupt contact with her face.

"Do not interrupt me! I will do what I see is most fit.." He ordered.

"..and what is see most fit starts with you, Juvia." He hissed.

"Me?" She shakily asked.

"Yes. Goodnight Ms. Lockser."

Then it all went black.

"Gray-sama?"

The said ice mage sighed in dismay. "What did I say about calling me that Mary?"

"Sorry, but the name is just too cute to pass up!" She giggled.

"Shut up."

Mary didn't seem to care as she proceeded to talk. "Well, I actually have some amazing news!"

"What exactly is this amazing news?" He questioned, obviously annoyed with the pink haired girl.

She began to hop in glee. "Jerome-san has found one of your old guildmates! Isn't that exciting?" Gray's eyes widened and his head quickly snapped towards her.

"What?"

"You heard me! Jerome-san has found one those disgusting Fairy Tail members. No offense." As she continued to talk, Gray couldn't keep up with this sudden information.

'How the hell did they find someone?' He began to go down a loophole of how they found someone, when he gave them absolutely no information on them?

More importantly, who did they find?

Gray remained calm, trying not to expose his worry. Instead, he spoke his previous thought, "Who the hell did he find?"

Mary sniggered. "My bad. I totally forgot their name, but what I do know, is that she is really annoying. She even talks weird!"

As soon as those dreadful words left her mouth Gray immediately went into panic mode.

'No no no. Please, anyone but her. There is no way..' Gray began to repeatedly think in his mind, praying that they weren't talking about who he thought it was.

'Who else talks weird though? They said 'she' too! Oh god please no!' He begged the gods.

"Well maybe you should pay more attention so we knew who she was!" He yelled, his temper out the window.

Mary was taken aback by this sudden outburst. He was usually always calm and collected, he must really hate this person if he had this type of reaction towards them..

"Okay grumpy head! Jeez." She replied. Gray suddenly stood up aggressively, and walked out of the room, slamming the door.

"What is up with him?" She wondered suspiciously.

Meanwhile, Gray was outside of the guild, his lacrima in hand.

As he dialed the number urgently, he was thinking over and over again about what Mary had said.

"God damn it!" He yelled in frustration, as his call went to voicemail.

"C'mon Erza, please!" He dialed yet again. This time, she answered.

"What, Gray, you know that you shouldn't call during the day!" She reprimanded the demon slayer.

"I know Erza, b-but Mary told me that Jerome has gotten a hold of one of Fairy Tails' members!" He yelled, not caring whether she would be angry or not.

"Shit, are you sure? Who is it?" She asked, now on full alert.

Gray breathed heavily. "I have no idea, but she told me a little bit about them, and from the sound of it..I-I think they have Juvia." He spoke with sadness and fear fully evident in his expression.

The other line was silent for a while, making Gray believe that she had hung up. Though her voice came back, but with a demanding and worrying tone added to it.

"Ok, then it's time we take action. You stay there and act like nothing is wrong, and I will get back to you tomorrow with a full plan."

Even though Gray wanted to take action right then and there, he knew that Erza would make sure they got whoever was taken, back. He just hoped it wasn't a certain water mage.

"Okay. Just..hurry, please?" He begged.

"Don't worry Gray, we will get her back.." She reassured him gently. Even though she couldn't see it, Gray nodded his head.

Erza hummed in acknowledgment. "..alright then, I have to get back now. Goodbye, and act normal."

"I will. Bye." He then heard the line go silent. In his mind though, he was anything but normal, worrying about a certain someone.

"Mavis please, make sure that she is okay." He pleaded silently, as he walked away and soon returned to the loud sound of his fellow, 'Guildmates'.

Phew! That's a wrap! I hope you enjoyed reading the first chapter of my new story, and again, watch out for a new chapter of Unordinary.

Just to clarify, this is probably my first time writing something like this, so if it is a little cringe, I apologize! With that aside I hope you enjoyed. This was just a sudden idea that came to mind and my writing brain was able to write this in one day surprisingly. Anyways, thank you for any support, it makes me feel way more comfortable.

Thank you!
