The OLD REPUBLIC has fallen and its protectors, the JEDI KNIGHTS, are now all but extinct. World by world, system by system, the FIRST GALACTIC EMPIRE meets with victory. The galaxy is now under the dominating thumb of EMPEROR PALPATINE and his apprentice, the sinister DARTH VADER. The Light flickers, and the Dark dances.

Five years after the end of the CLONE WARS, however, the Light proves it is difficult to fully extinguish. Against all odds, Jedi Knight CAL KESTIS, along with the crew of the STINGER MANTIS, has just earned an astounding victory on the planet Nur. The SECOND SISTER is dead and FORTRESS INQUISITORIOUS lies in ruins. The holocron with the list of Force-Sensitive children has been destroyed. The CHILDREN OF THE FORCE are safe.

Now, a pair of JEDI KNIGHTS intercept Cal on the Smuggler's Moon known as NAR SHADDAA, presenting him with his new mission; the building of a NEW JEDI ORDER. Rather than training vulnerable children, however, they look to obtain the locations of surviving Jedi, with the ultimate goal of forcing the DARK LORDS OF THE SITH out of power once and for all…
