62. Monica Wilkins (Mrs. Granger/Hermione Granger's mother)
Australia was lovely. Life in general was lovely. Wendell and her had just moved from rainy London to sunny Gold Coast. Why, then, was Monica sitting on her new porch overlooking the ocean, with salt water not of the sea running down her cheeks?
She'd noticed Wendell looking lost after the move, hesitating in doorways and staring intently at the family photos on the wall. Monica, herself, had more than once found herself cooking an extra portion for someone who wasn't there.
But she was happy, truly. Moving was exhausting; surely the tears were just pent-up stress being healthily released...right?
